take a look at this remarkable video, also last year, here in eagle pass, the biden administration border patrol literally brought out an address real great forklift and started lifting up the razor wire to allow masses of those migrants to cross illegally into eagle pass. texas was so outraged about that, they ended up suing dhs, though dhs ended up siding with the biden administration and said they are allowed to remove that razor wire. back out here, we expect tom homan and governor abbott to arrive here pretty much any minute now, where they will serve meals to these soldiers who have been manning the front lines in operation lone star for the last several years, often at odds with the federal government. it's been a very adversarial relationship between the state of texas and the feds, and part of tom homan's visit and part of his reason for coming here is he wants to start thawing out that relationship and show the trump administration plans to be a partner for the state of texas and not an adversary. back to you. >> john: going to be a whole

underground terrorists, infrastructure, over the years they build, we destroyed. we attacked strategic targets in all of israel, in lebanon, and the area in beirut, we have destroyed a great deal of their infrastructure. three months ago only all of this would have sounded science-fiction, but it is not science fiction. we did that. and i want to tell you, at any given moment, conducting this campaign, i look at all the fronts at the same time. that's how decided -- at first i wanted to focus on gaza and not to open another front. several months ago, when things have started cooking up in the north, and hezbollah, but the

10:17 am
missiles will attacked as yes, if they go -- i know the claim we will not be able to go back if we start to cease-fire. that is what i was told, exactly what i was told when we did a cease-fire in gaza, you know, to bring back hostages. they said we are not going to go back to the fight. we returned and how we return and big time we came back. they tell me now hezbollah will be quiet for a year or two. it will get stronger, and then it will attack us again. hezbollah -- israel -- avoid the cease-fire not only by shooting at us, merely by trying to arm themselves. each one of their violation will attack with force. i know there are those who don't believe we will do so. but they not believe we are going to go into gaza street by land and we did so.

to go to khan yunis, and we did. they didn't believe under the tremendous international pressure we would get into rafah, not only got in, but attacked, and how we attacked, many attacking lebanon, and they are too we attack. we attack with wisely and with power that surprised the whole world, so as all of this, maybe it is time to begin to believe in how results we are in our method, our commitment to victory, so why have a cease-fire now? three main reasons for it. one, focusing on the iranian threat. and i'm not going to go and expand on that. two, refreshing the forces and getting armaments.
10:19 am
i am not going to hide it, there were many delays in getting armaments and weapons and this is going to -- soon this is going to open up, we are going to have, we will have the armaments. we will save our soldiers lives and give us additional force to complete our task. third reason for the cease-fire, separating hamas and this front from the first. hamas plan from the beginning that hezbollah will be at its side but when hezbollah -- hamas will be alone, and this will aid us in our sacred goal to release our hostages. in the last year, we changed things. 180 degrees. we have returned fire big time. we are changing the middle east.

all of this we are doing thanks to our heroic soldiers, and your heroic -- and also the forceful and wise way in which the war is being conducted. a good deal is a deal, agre agreement, that one, and forces, and we will enforce it. god willing, we will have security, we will have the north flower and continue together until there is victory. >> john: all right, that just about wraps it up very quickly from benjamin netanyahu, saying he will present to the israeli cabinet tonight a cease-fire proposal between israel and hezbollah for three reasons. he said first of also they can focus on the threat from iran so they can refresh their forces, sandra, and also separate the conflict with hamas from the conflict with hezbollah because
10:21 am
you remember conflict with hamas started october 7th. october the 8th is when the conflict with hezbollah started. >> sandra: and we saw the increase in violence yesterday, obviously, his words crucial to listen to. alex hogan is live in tel aviv with reaction right now to that. alex? >> hi, sander and john. so really a pivotal time right now here in the middle east to learn more details about what people in the region have been waiting and embracing for four weeks and months but really more than a year now for the thousands of people here in israel who have been displaced, for they more than a million people displaced in lebanon that reportedly that cease-fire will happen and israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu is going to be getting more information to his cabinet later this evening so we will still wait to hear some more details about exactly when all of this will take place, but what we do know again about the contingencies within this deal, it will be a 60 day pause in fighting.
10:22 am
it will also ensure that israel will withdraw from lebanon and hezbollah forces will need to move about 20 miles north of the israeli border, above the litani river. that is the border essentially where they will need to move. in place there will be a lebanese army that will deploy peered we heard from the lebanese foreign minister earlier today saying he thought this would come to fruition by tonight. also saying there are as many as 5,000 lebanese forces who are ready to go to the border as soon as possible, so again right now the big breaking news that we are having out of the middle east is israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu says after more than a year at war that there is officially going to be a cease-fire, and this is again tremendous relief for the people who have been displaced, but it isn't worth forgetting that this has been a year of tremendous loss for the people on both sides of the border. really across the city in tel aviv behind me you can see the lights in the building,
10:23 am
there are hotel across the city and country filled with people who are displaced, at a time the country also battling the forces on the gaza strip, hamas, they are also having to navigate what has become an increasingly tense border. the fight constantly with hezbollah. again, to reiterate, what we are just learning out of this cease-fire deal, the reasons for this, netanyahu said, there were three main reasons. the iranian threat. it is also an effort to replenish and refresh its own ammunitions and forces as well as isolating hamas. john, sandra, back to you peered. >> sandra: live in tel aviv for us, thank you. john? >> john: the southern border in texas, eagle pass, to governor greg abbott greg abbott and tom homan are speaking. listen in. >> serve 24/7. there are times when you're deployed, times when you are not deployed, but the fact of the matter is, having you available to serve the state of texas or

moving the dope. i'm happy that we finally got a president, president trump is going to come in january, and like the governor says, we are not waiting until january. we are already talking and planning and going to put a plan in place and secure this nation at the highest level it has ever seen. we are going to finish trump's work. i want to say thank you to each and every one of you. what people don't understand, in texas, for every ounce of fentanyl your troopers seized are less overdose deaths. every person you arrest for trespassing and put through the finger printing process, that is one less got away. at least we know who these people are. what you have done is not only protect the state of texas and the citizens of texas, you are protecting this nation. it's a shame with that other governors and other mayors who right out of the gate have said they're going to push back on president trump and what we're trying to do, especially for enforcement. let me be clear. there is going to be a mass deportation. because we just finished a mass illegal immigration crisis on the border.
10:33 am
where anybody can look at 9 out of 10 people claim asylum at the portable end up with an order of removal, so you can't ask the right to claim asylum, the right to see a judge, the right to due process, and we give you that due process, that the end of that due process, a judge orders your removal, we have to remove you because if we don't, shut down immigration court, those don't mean anything anymore. take you guys off the border because there is no consequences. so you can't demand due process or right to claim asylum and not obey the court order. that is why there needs to be a mass deportation, a mass number of people, millions of people who will get a final order and be ordered to move. if we don't to it, what is the option? let them stay, you will never finish the border. send a message to the rest of the world can enter the country illegally which is a crime, ignore a court order -- we are telling the whole world and to this country illegally and you never have to go home.

we are a nation of laws and we are going to enforce the laws. the men and women of i.c.e. have a tough job ahead of them and sending a message for people saying they're going to get in our way, they're going to stop us from doing what we are doing in enforcement, i have said it 100 times in the last week, don't cross that line. it is a felony to knowingly harbor and conceal illegal immigrants of from authorities. don't test us. the nation wants a safe country. we have had enough crime in this country, illegal alien crime, it's time to end it and stop it. present trip is committed to securing this border. he is committed to having this mass deportation operation and concentrating on public safety and national security threats. for any mayor and governor who is going to push back on removing public safety threats from your community, that is your number one or spots ability. you ought to be teaming up with us. the biggest on the southern border, like i said, 2 million known gotaways, we don't know how many unknown, on the

israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu said just a short time ago he is recommending to his cabinet that they take a look at a cease-fire proposal that has been drafted with hezbollah that could potentially bring an end to the fighting that you see there in places like beirut, where the israeli air force has been going after hezbollah targets trying to create or destroy its infrastructure and literally taken out the entire upper echelon of hezbollah leadership. let's bring in alex gray, the former chief of staff at the white house national secured he counsel during president-elect trump's first administration. his partners with our good friend robert o'brien, as well, security firm. alex, do you expect the israeli cabinet, do you expect the israeli cabinet will except the cease-fire proposal? >> thanks for having me again, john. i would expect if the prime minister is putting it forward it will be approved this evening. my sense is there is a reason this happens now, the timing of

this is important. yes, obviously israel has conducted an extraordinary campaign to decapitate hezbollah at every level of its leadership. but i don't think we should underestimate the impact of 55 days until donald trump takes the oath of office again. i don't think that is a coincidence. i think it is similar to 1980, where you saw iran releasing our hostages right before ronald reagan took the oath of office. because they understood then that the air of american weakness was ending. seeing a similar idea make today were ron, hezbollah, hamas, understand the window to avoid e through strength policies is ending rapidly. they are going to calibrate their behavior accordingly and israelis know they are not going to be restrained any longer by an american administration that is looking for political advantage domestically rather than what our allies need and
