♪ ♪ i said young man ♪ young man. >> laura: of course, i get it. this self-selecting group, trump supporters are in a good mood. i still think that america is feeling more hopeful this holiday. people are breathing a sigh of relief. that can actually speak their minds and not worry, perhaps about getting fired or getting penalized or getting canceled. and isn't it time to stop fighting and start having some fun? a constant state of turmoil and fury should not be our natural state. >> no! no! no! no! why? why? why? warned that candidate trump should stick to the economy and the border. and stay away from the culture war issues. well, as usual, trump relied on his gut and he ignored their advice. >> we will get critical race theory and transgender insanity out the hell out of our schools. we will keep men out of women's sports. that's like a no brainer. >> laura: and it turns out we can be very thankful that it looks like trump broke woke. the largest retailer in the united states is dumps its diversity, equity and inclusion charade. >> walmart is pulling back on diversity, equity and inclusion programs. why the changes? >> what we're trying to do is to ensure that every customer, every associate feels welcomed here to shop and to feel like they belong. and we're going to continue to make the best decisions we can that makes everyone, our customers, our associates feel

like this is an environment they can shop in and thrive in. >> laura: that's a really long winded way of saying we are listening to our consumers now who think woke is a joke. trump just doesn't know how to read the room, people. he reads the country. case in point, his announcement yesterday that he is planning significant tariffs to crack down on fentanyl and other border related issues. thank god. now, remember, tariffs are to free trade absolutists what sunshine is to vampires. but real people see their utility and the leverage that tariffs provide. according to that same cbs news poll, 52% of americans support using tariffs on imported goods. smart. trump now has everyone's attention. and suddenly i predict we're going to see even fewer migrants and less fentanyl coming across the border. more on china's blustery response later on in the show.

and on the angle in not being supremely great 68 for elon musk. not only for his generous support buying twitter. i think it's a very tough call about whether or not republicans could have won without him and x. free speech won the day and the election. and deranged never trumpers who urged that trump be censored and they were -- pushed musk and others like r.f.k. and tulsi gabbard and nicole shannan out of the democrat party and into the trump coalition. and, of course, there would be no coalition without trump himself. the master communicator. >> president trump? >> i really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence. i don't think he knows what he said either. look -- >> laura: trump, the fighter, trump the pragmatist.

trump the peacemaker. >> i will end the war in ukraine which would have never started if i was president. [cheers] and i will stop the chaos in the middle east. >> laura: and, of course, trump the people generator. he makes politics fun again. and shouldn't we start taking that whole pursuit of happiness thing seriously at this point? i think sometimes as conservatives and it's true. we are always on the lookout for the traps. the obstacles, the challenges, the potholes. the landmines. but, this should be a time for hope. we have achieved a amazing victories this year. victories that few predicted in january 2021, not even i, and now we have an incredible opportunity, the best in decades. to build a better world for our children and our grandchildren.

hoaxes and collusions, nonstop attacks from the corporate propagandist. this man, the courage that he has shown has given us a singular moment in american history to turn this ship around. you can see that optimism in the poll that you were talking about earlier where 60% approval transition because they realized that they now have a president-elect who actually wants to prioritize the american people a. all things, no more bad trade deals no. more selling us out on immigration and destroying our country systematic illegal immigration. not foisting bad economic policies crushing most of the average americans people have optimism, have ability to dream. better days might be ahead. and i think this message as resonated with the american people. they realize the message for me for trump decline as a choice. we choose not to decline.

americans age 18 to 29 prefer to get their information from social media. i think what we are see something a departure from the mainstream media. certainly run as the marketing wings from the democratic party as long as we can remember. shifting to independent sources and information. what do we see as young voters when we look at that we see him working with people. r.f.k. want to radically change the healthcare system and flood supply system in this country. see him appointing vivek ramaswamy and elon musk, cutting government waste. we know rampant in this country. meanwhile like you said we saw the democrats go into that spending tens of millions of dollars celebrity endorsements. when the younger generation looks what party wants to turn the page last four years. what party want to be unburdened by what has been. the choice is the republican party. >> laura: that's so mean on thanksgiving. aldo, i can't believe you are going back to unfortunate phrase. this is thanksgiving. we're supposed to be positive and uplifting.

but, i have to say, ned, there were a lot of conservatives over the last two years that would come on this show and be pretty negative. and they were pretty pessimistic about the future. but, there was one person that knew he was going to win. i think he pretty much knew if he was given a fair -- a fair hearing in any platform, trump knew he could win on the issues. he was consistent on that. a lot of people came on this program, i don't think this is going to happen. the economy, the border are the two main issues, plus trump is fun. is he a fun factor in politics and my gosh, we need to have more fun in this country. too much negativity all the time. >> correct. and he also put in the work. not only did he have the optimism that once the american people understood that he does have the solutions. he proved it before. he is going to prove it again. but they put in the work, laura, his campaign was serious about winning, about doing all the right things. doing the absentee ballot chase,

doing all the fundamentals to actually get him across the finish line. it was hope and optimism'. also with great discipline. and it was a tremendous combination. >> laura: i think a lot of the 350e8 on the left for a long time, aldo, they poo poo patriotism. that's chief patriotism, that's cheap flag waving. that's reflexive, meaningless patriotism. but, "newsweek" did a piece that just came out about how trump is making patriotism cool again and ned and i know this because the 80's were -- i'm going back to fun because i think we don't do enough pursuit of happiness, frankly in our country for -- when politics is concerned. but is he making patriotism cool again. that was the 1980s. and that formed an entire generation outlook on life and politics and i think we need more of that in the country as well. aldo? >> i will just tell you a quick personal story. i was 16 years old when donald

trump first started his campaign in 2016. i was in high school at the time. i remember being in class my a.p. history class. the teacher used to give us assignment just for the white males to talk about our privilege. i remember that energy back then of him lambasting the men in the country and masculinity and i used to skip his class to go to donald trump rallies in michigan. i think that same kind of energy is become where young, disaffected men who have been told that their masculinity is bad that they are toxic and evil people just for existing they finally see a president who not only is embracing them but telling them can you use your god-given talents and use what god has given to you make this country better, to improve our community and to make america great. that's something that every american on both sides should be able to get around to. it's unfortunate that it took donald trump but i'm so happy that he is back in office. and i'm really glad to see that my fellow gen-zers agree with me. >> laura: really quickly, ned, don't you feel that people seem more optimistic. i know i'm self-selecting here.

therapist in chief instead of president of the united states. she owes it to her supporters ran through $1.5 billion a record amount of money. half supporters are small dollar donors averaged about $49 in contributions. and yet she spent the money, million or 2.5 million or oprah wintry, $4 million on private jet travel. $15 million for event producers, to put together some of those concerts that they were performing. and, you know, i think about aunt martha sitting in chillicothe, ohio kitchen table writing a $25 check lifelong democrat she would blot money on entertainment, hollywood, rich people sums up what the democrats today are about. they are about using the little guy and taking their money and using it to enrich the wealthy and the -- those who already have stature and a good way of living. and that campaign is a reflection on democrats have been governing. and the way she treats your

>> laura: well, there is one more stage of grief. it's kind of -- you hear a little acceptance there but they are not really there yet and they likely never will be. then their whole world chances if they really think about why they lost. it's the agenda, their issues, the policies. they still think kamala ran a perfect campaign. so much in their reputation. know it all geniuses in politics. they obnoxiously dismissed any notion that the american people preferred trump's policies, it wasn't just her personality. they like trump's policy. so they just gleefully smeared half america, half of america as rotten racist, all the rest. and, of course, they were all lying? i think they knew they were lying when they said it. so, acceptance would actually mean one thing. being capped into irrelevance.

border itself? >> you know, i have been on the border a dozen times this past year and the morale is in the toilet. border patrol morale. everybody's morale. every time the state tries to do something to stop the flow. the biden administration sues them. right? but, today, when i was down there. i saw nothing but smiles and happy faces because i know trump is come in. and they know they are going to finally get the help they needed. so maybe some of these national guard folks can go home to their families. they are excited about january 20th. like i told them today. we are not waiting until januar. me and governor abbott are already working on plans to finish what texas has started. tension successful what they have done here. working on plans and men and women are excited that things are about to change for the good. >> and, tom, the video of the little toddlers at the border. it's heart breaking and infuriating at the same time. we talked to you about it the other night. but people have to realize it's not just these 50 kids or hundred kids over the last

couple of months. there are tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands who have come across the border and a lot of them we have no idea where they are. and that's on joe biden and kamala harris and the democrats. >> it absolutely is. we have had whistleblowers from hhs saying these kids, they are trafficked. they are not vetting these sponsors. that's why they lost track of over 300,000. president trump is committed. he has three rails of business. we are going to shut down that border and secure it highest level ever in this space station nation. >> we are going to run the biggest deportation operation this country has seen. find those 300,000 children and rescue them. based my three and a half decades i guarantee you some of these children are about the sex trafficking. some of these children pedophiles. some forced lehner. so we need to find these children and save them. >> laura: well, tom, here is how the mayor of tucson responded to trump's border plan. watch. >> i am deeply troubled by president-elect trump's plans

for mass deportation. i believe they are cruel and immoral. i will work with our police chief to make sure that our focus remains on protecting and serving tucsonians. i'm unwavering in my commitment to this fight. >> laura: we asked her office if she would clarify that but she hasn't responded. if she doesn't follow mass deportation orders, what will y'all do? >> well, first of all, what's cruel about it? we have a massive illegal inflation flow on the border. historic flow overwhelming the border patrol. sex trafficking up 250%. dead americans from fentanyl. we have record number of suspected terrorists and terrorists on the border. we have children dying on the border every day. we have got women being sexually assaulted by the cartels every day. someone is going to die on the border tonight. women are being raped on the border tonight.

so what's cruel about securing that border and saving lives? first of all. but i will give her the same warning i have given the rest of the sanctuary city's mayors and the governors, you did not help us, that's fine. you should get the hell out of the way. we are going to do the job. president trump has said public safety and national security threats out of the gate. i can't believe there is any elected official that doesn't want public safety threats out of their communities. communities. not going to do it. do it for them. not help. but don't impede it i. us. >> and knowingly harbor and conceal illegal alien from ice. because that is a felony. we have one hell of a attorney general coming in, poland, i think she will read that statute the same way i do. i'm not a lawyer. but i can read. and we're going to have consequences of people who violate the law and try to prevent us from doing our job. >> laura: yeah. tom, enforcing the border will save lives and children's lives. women's lives and americans' lives. tom, just because it's the
