refusing to play against a trans athlete. the volleyball team captain at the university of nevada reno and an independent women's forum ambassador joins me now. good morning to you. so you are part of a team that forfeited their match against san jose state in october. so, tell us about how you feel about them reaching this tournament? >> it's definitely disappointing. me alongside a lot of very brave women in our conference took a loss, which allowed them to be there. and although the court case didn't go as we hoped, the fight's not over. we won't be silenced. and this is just the beginning. >> carley: what do you mean by that? this is just the beginning. how do you plan to fight against trans athletes in women's sports in the future? >> just using our voice and fighting against the injustices we face. men do not belong in women's sports or in our locker rooms.

and i know this is believed by a vast majority of the nation. it was really disheartening to see that this is going to happen, but joining this lawsuit we know that it wasn't going to be a street path. and fighting justice never is it's just knowing that we have support behind us. >> carley: yeah. using your voice. san jose is in this tournament and they have a first round bye. how do you think this particular tournament is going to go? >> i'm interested to see how it will go. it just so happened that boise state and utah state are on the same side as them. leading up to the mountain west conference championship. so, i wish the best of luck to those girls today as they play against each other and whatever they do tomorrow, whoever wins tonight faces san jose state, i wish them the best of luck as
