are better with friends. >> todd: we do have real news to get to the fbi as investigating several members of president-elect's incoming administration were targeted with bomb threats and swatting calls. >> emily: spite this frightening scare many of the g.o.p. are vowing to not back down. >> joey: madeleine joins us. >> madeleine: spokesperson is thanking law enforcement for acting so quickly. the threats come after a political campaign that was marked by violence. the roughly dozen nominees and appointees who were targeted tuesday night and wednesday morning, include cia director nominee john ratcliffe. defense secretary nominee pete hegseth. u.n. ambassador nominee elise stefanik. agriculture secretary nominee brook rollins, lee zeldin continue and commerce secretary nominee howard lutnick. the fbi saying in a statement we are working with our law enforcement partners.

we take all potential threats seriously and encourage members of the public to immediately report anything they consider suspicious to law enforcement. tom homan says he has been receiving death threats and being named as trump's incoming border czar but he is undeterred. >> i think the first role is not to be intimidated. i'm not going to be intimidated by these people. they are not going to silence me. look, i'm going to do this job. i want to do this job because it's an issue of national security. you are not going to shut me up. i'm not going away. i'm going to do this job and continue talking to the american people why it needs to be done. >> the threats come after two assassination attempts on president-elect trump's life. house speaker mike johnson says this is dangerous and unhinged. it is not who we are in america. joe biden and all democrat leaders have an obligation to speak up and condemn this now. the white house says it has been in touch with federal law enforcement as the president-elect's team. the president condemns all threats of political violence.

united states had two attempted assassinations on his life. at what point is the stewardship of our tax dollars going to go appropriately to identifying and thwarting these before it even happens? >> and is it the fact that technology has exceeded capabilities? is it simply too large a volume out there so that the threats come in and that's considered a success, that it ends with a threat but they are still safe? is that a success? to me that seems that is not a success, having august of these individuals who have sworn to serve this country and haven't yet assumed position and having had their families threatened, having their thanksgiving under the shroud of a lack of safety, to me, is unacceptable. >> todd: i think we need to go further than the blanket statement everybody issues there is no room for political violence in our country withing in more. no, we need to go many steps further and that includes finding who did this, was it coordinated because it certainly appears on first blush like it is, and then making sure that those individuals feel the full

wrath of the law to send a message to other people out there that this is not normal and it can not be normal in our country if we are going to continue on with democracy as the left always likes to throw in our face. if we don't have civil serving vanities who are willing to leave their very, very successful private lives to go do their three, four, two years whatever it is of government service, then that is the real threat to democracy. we need to find who made these threats and punish them severely. >> joey: yeah, this cabinet is particularly young. they have small children. for obvious reasons we know some of them. even beyond that, elise stefanik's friend matt is a friend of mine. they have a young son. i spoke to him yesterday. i spoke to a couple of these people yesterday. they were all incredibly stalwart in their to go through the government process and become part of this government. you are not going to deter these people. information come out get some

harris' campaign is not accepting failure. they are -- they are identifying as a successful campaign although all the evidence leads that they were a failure. when you look at joe rogan specifically and choosing not to go on that pawfd, joe rogan is not a republican or a democrat. that's what makes him a powerful voice. his audience rejects woke but he embrace marijuana. equally skeptical of the big government as well as business. they don't fall into partisan buckets. many of them are passionately liberal and most of them have libertarian antiwar streak in them. so for any presidential candidate, really any mainstream candidate to go from and sit down with him for three hours, we can't undercore just how unique that was. i don't know that any other republican that was running for the nomination would have walked in there and set down for three hours. and it's because in a lot of ways trump isn't a conservative or a republican. he is a populist. he is obviously championing conservative policies but it's

because that's what the country wants and needs right now. and his many years in business make those things make sense to him. it's not because he needed to, you know, champion the republican party. that just happened to be the place where his ideas landed. there aren't many politicians that can be that, that can be that malleable or open for three hours. >> emily: what terrified the democratic party or what they didn't see millions and millions who listen to joe rogan's podcast and others have a curiosity. you can't shove them into the box that the democratic party likes to be put into. it confused them. the james carville thing, i can't decide if it's a frightening example of the disconnects between the establishment democrat party saying oh you are younger than 20 or 40, then shut up and sit in the corner because that's also why they lost. they weren't listening to people or is it a reflection exactly of the fact that the tail was wagging the dog? and that those that know better. >> joey: that's what james

adam, what's going on? >> adam: good morning, guys, happy thanksgiving. well, i will tell what you is going on. rain going on. i just saw my first marching band pass behind me minutes ago already pouring on them. a long morning for folks who are participating in the parade. folks out here in the parade. energy still remains high. because ever this rain, which in the 8 years i have been coming here i have never seen such a steady, soaking rain is that going to impact the actual parade? the good news is no, it takes winds to ground any of these floats. not expecting winds up to 23 mile-per-hour flesh hold. if we can dive into weather graphics. unfortunately what we are experiencing right now we will be experiencing all morning long. temperatures in the upper 40's. up to 50 degrees and rain consistently in our forecast. if you are not here on the east coast and looking at our next graphic, what you will notice is this is the only real weather maker across the country. everyone out to the west is experiencing drier conditions; however, cooler conditions. this is a true cold front that's bringing this rain to portions of the east coast. everything back off towards the

chaffetz joins me now to discuss. jason, will they? will they come out unq unequivoy and condemn frightening threats of violence? >> well, they are on the clock right now. good morning, emily and happy thanksgiving. but they are on the clock. they could have done it yesterday. they better darn well do it today. i don't have a whole lot of confidence. remember, we have a united states supreme court. they haven't offered the resources to protect the supreme court justices. so, here you have the incoming trump administration, you are not going to intimidate somebody like tom homan. i mean, come on, really? of all the people out there. you think you are going to intimidate that group of people? it's not going to happen. what is concerning about this is, it doesn't seem like it's some, you know, one person who is just off their meds. to be able to target those nine people and beyond, there is a coordinated effort here. and the fbi has got to get on top of it. not only do they have to identify, but they need to charge and then prosecute these people. america needs to see consequences for people that are threatening other people's

lives. >> emily: i agree with you. this is like the one group mess around and find out. of course no one would be deterred. of course they would all be staunchly defined. so it begs the question, jason, why then do these people feel emboldened to do so? and do you have faith in the machine of law enforcement at this moment in terms of those leadership at the top to between create and hold them accountable so that this does stop? jason jason i can tell you having served more than 8 years in congress virtually almost every single member of congress at some point is going to get some serious threats. when i was chairman of the oversight committee, we had a person out of florida that was giving death threats, said they were going to do some horrific things to me. law enforcement followed through. they charged him and he went to jail. that was an exception. i had threats coming from other parts of the country. and they need to follow up on them. and whether it's online, whether it's on x or facebook or whatever, that's just not acceptable behavior. and there needs to be some

monitoring these threats. realizing drones flew over sensitive military installations after the fact is a problem. every time they fly over military installations they gather pattern of life. intelligence on the target. extremely dangerous to our national security. and frankly this topic really needs to get a lot more coverage and should be a wake-up call to our own agencies, we can't even shoot these things down very easily with the current laws in place with our faa. so it's not just good enough to monitor. this we need to shoot them down, rather than have a foreign adversary collecting on us which they are and testing our response which they have. and they have been getting away with it and that's unacceptable. >> joey: dealing with a u.s. base that's overseas and allied country. u.s. base in the u.k., i understand from my own experience things we can do to mitigate this. how much are we reliant upon the host country for. that will do we have the ability to go essentially offensive in our deterrence or do we have to rely on the home country. can you explain the dichotomy

there? >> yeah. i mean we are definitely reliant on the laws of that country. especially within the u.k. remember, this also has happened in virginia. on our own military ininstallations and sites. that's the larger issue here. frankly, there is a strong possibility this could even be russia. they have been known to fly drones over military areas across europe where ukrainians are being trained and equipped, which right now the u.k. government is training and equipping ukrainian soldiers and recently russia even said that the u.k. is a legitimate military target because of their presence in the u.k. i was told even there was a situation once where the russians flew small commercial drones equipped with special sensors that collected the communities of the ukrainian military personnel training overseas at the european military bases and used that information to pinpoint their location ever the same fourses once they came back inside ukraine foyer strikes. there is a major, praj problem here. frankly there are a ton of counter measures that can you put in place.

you could layer tactical and strategic count drone radar systems. you can jam the frequency of the drones. literally hijack a drone in the air, take over the controls, we even now have the ability to use directed energy systems which essentially fry a drone and light it on fire mid-air. but, yet, we have got these are archaic laws here and in a lot of cases overseas that make it very difficult to use the deck nothing that's available today to mitigate these threats and stop these threats and old mentality especially with the faa if we use counter drone systems it could effect commercial airline communications which simply isn't true. these systems are really really good right now. we need to do a better job of putting money into it. installing these systems protect our country and our soldiers. >> brett, there is no question about it. drone warfare is the future. replace multi million dollars fighter jets. we need guys like you -- maybe president trump is watching. need guys like you with the
