final hour of "fox and friends" starts right now. remember, mornings are better with friends! todd's idea for the unity call. ♪ good morning, you'll all. happy thanksgiving. this is sixth avenue in new york city where parade goers are already lining up ahead of the macy's thanksgiving day parade, which for the first time in 98 years has the storied mini, so much more, including our favorite, adam klotz who is right there reporting with clowns last time we checked, which was probably the funniest moment in television history. now he's with a marching band. you traded up, adam. >> yeah, i did, emily. good morning. i'm making friends from all across the country here, this is the marching band from east

e-mail us at fri friends @foxnews.com. >> emily: with that, many of us feel thankful for the things in our lives. many of the people that voted for donald trump are thankful with the president-elect. he's headed back to the white house. the u.s. now can see more than a trillion in savings. we have mexico's president saying, you know, i'm going to help crack down on immigration and dei is on its way out the door. this is exactly what donald trump ran on. even before he makes it in to office, three weeks after the election, he's delivering on these promises as much as he can. >> emily: we talk about the transparency that he's demanded. the point is under the current administration, there's -- you can't -- we don't know where our tax dollars are going. we can't get an answer as to

what our politicians are doing with our money or doing with our schedule during the day. here finally this breath of fresh air, this president-elect saying we're going to show you. we're going to show you how the sausage is being made. people have opened the books. they have been working for years at ripping back the cloak of transparency. now finally we have a president that will do the same for us. joey, it's incredible the commitment to the american people being able to know where their hard-earned dollars are going and having that go towards something fruitful. >> joey: a great piece. it's in the "new york post." it's the headline today. basically what it says is carve that turkey. trump can cut more than a trillion dollars. it's funny. if you go in to what that trillion dollars comes from, almost half of it is the student loan debt forgiveness that biden has been able to circumvent congress and circumvent the courts. still tied up in the courts. it's almost $400 billion.
5:12 am
$150 billion are on electric vehicle tax credits. they say that is elon musk trying to hurt his competition because he's timed out of those. i don't know if that is entirely true. maybe. there's a part about medicaid expansion. that will be a tough one. here's the deal. at the end of the day, you give people something no matter democrat, republican, or liberal. they don't want you to take it away. that's why congress advocates to get it right the first time. once you get it out there, it's hard to pull it back. interesting to see where it goes. a trillion over the next be ten years that president biden spent for us. >> emily: which will make up for the trillion dollars wasted in the prior ten years with just the social security administration and other programs alone on just overpayments. so every dollar we get back is restoring $1 at a time. meanwhile, democrats skip thanksgiving for festivus airing

out their party grievances as james carville blames the harris loss on listening to snot-notioned progressive staffers in a profanity laced rant. >> they were blaming it on going on the joe rogan show and the progressive staf hissy fit. t when you put a campaign together and you hire young people to do work, let me tell you exactly what you tell these people, what i would tell them. not only am i not interested in your [bleep] opinion, i'm not even going to call you by your name. you're 23 years old. i don't give a [bleep] what you think. >> todd: beautiful sentiments on this thanksgiving day.
5:14 am
>> joey: that's what james carville thinks. >> emily: it's frightening. speaks to the disconnect between the establishment democratic party and the kids of it. the question remains -- we've been talking about this all morning. what does that disconnect look like and why? was the tail wagging the dog and these sort of whimsical children that have been cultivated by the idealogical wokeness on academic campuses and social media, are they the ones driving the party and leading to the civil war and lack of organization, the inability for kamala to commit to a policy or being aged out and saying look, we're the breath of fresh air. >> joey: it shows the dichotomy of this generation coming through. most people would say gen z, that is the kamala camp. we have these negative connotations about these young americans. but what we're learning, the first generation to join the

catholic church in higher numbers since gen x. a lot of them, they have been deprived of american things that they have a hunger for. one of those is getting their information. so it's rumored -- i don't know if it's fact or not, but i've read that baron trump is the one that told donald trump that he should go on joe rogan and reach those listeners. the reason why is quite simple. those are people that aren't watching us most of the time or cnn or msnbc. they're on their own political island. joe rogan talked a little bit about this when he was snowed by kamala. listen. >> if you pay people, it's not going to have the same impact. i think these call her daddy shows and the different shows she went on, i'm sure they had an impact, but i think that in the future -- i'm sure they're scrambling to try to create their own version of this show. this is one thing that keeps coming up. we need our own joe rogan.
5:16 am
but they have me. >> todd: it's a fine line that i think campaigns going forward need to play. i think if you take what you heard carville and rogan say is this. you need to speak to that younger generation. they're the ones that quite frankly could have swayed this election with their votes. if every one went for kamala like the media told you, trump may not have won. that's not what happened. secondarily, you can't put them in charge of the campaign because they don't have life experience. to your point, when you let a 23-year-old stamp their feet on the ground and say if i don't get my way with how you run the campaign, i'm going to leave. you cave to that, you lose. we saw that in 2016. hillary clinton didn't put her foot down. she also didn't go to wisconsin. she didn't put her foot down allowing the young people to determine how the campaign is run. what ties this together, gen

xer. joe rogan is speaking to the gen zers. that's how you win. you win in the power of our game, our broadcasting world, which joe rogan is. >> joey: it's not a male or female thing or republican or democrat thing. i could not believe that anyone on trump's staff would tell him what he was or wasn't going to do. i can't believe that about kamala harris. i think more than just anything else, that difference in personality and presentation is why donald trump won the way he did. >> todd: he listened to his son. that's different. you're listening to people that love you. >> emily: guys, i have the honor of sharing with you next, next to my dear friends, my new book "under his wings." it's been the honor of a lifetime to serve with the extraordinary stories within. to give a sneak peek now, my
