charge and prosecute the people. america needs to see consequences for people threatening other people's li lives. >> in the meantime, mexico's present insight with the president-elect. this week trump threat in mexico and canada with sweeping new vivek ramaswamy and les moore is done to stop the border and the flow of fentanyl. mexico's president is threatening tariffs as well but the two are looking for common ground. we heard from claudia sheinbaum and with president trump the comprehensive strategy mexico has followed to address the phenomenon expecting human rights. thanks to these migrants, the caravan assisted before reaching the border and really reiterate mexico is not to close borders but failed between government and people. she is warning if tariffs to go into effect the consequence is devastating for not her economy but the economy in this country. she thinks 400,000 jobs lost if that were the case.

side of the political aisle you are on, we don't tolerate that in the united states, political violence or threats of violence. i can tell you as a former fbi investigator, these things are not just pranks but serious crimes that will be investigated. impact to the point at the investigation prosecution, there were several people one person arrested for making hundreds of swatting calls and another individual in a campaign of making these calls and someone else arrested in florida for doing something similar. sometimes, it is not as easy to investigate the day after. it requires peeling back electronic units have these things manifest themselves and whether text messages or phone calls or somebody tried to hide the true identity with true phone number and true email and server information behind the protocols. however, they will be investigated.

these arrests and prosecutions will certainly show an effect to people who have those intentions. also, anyone who knows and in any way harbors an individual and knows about their activities in any way complicit also realize they face serious charges. might, the past few years because of the local level and number of people who really getl and see this as a very soft society when it comes to crime. i can tell you as i know the incoming administration will not take that view. i'm certainly glad that they will not either be intimidated or deterred from what the electorate chose to do. >> mike: this comes on the heels of presidential campaign where the president-elect of the united states, donald trump, the target of several assassination attempts. we know leaders on capitol hill planning a hearing on capitol hill to compel testimony from the atf. what are your expectations on that front as capital he'll try

to dig into assassination attempts? >> you know, i read an article regarding the subpoena of these two individuals to atf agents and employees. i just don't understand both coming from a former fbi investigator as well as my time in public sphere. my people wouldn't come forward and why do we have this lack of transparency with government and people investigating these type of incidents? i hope they get to what they need with further investigation and inquiry from capitol hill. if they are certainly things in a law enforcement agency needs to tell congress people, they can do it in private. i don't think the public form is the right way to do it. i don't understand the lack of transparency and hopefully that will be a change forthcoming the next four years. >> mike: bill taylor a thank you for your time and thank you so much. >> good to see you, mike.

imports. trump's explained the move posting this and i quote "as everyone is aware thousands of people are pouring through mexico and canada bringing crime and drugs at levels never seen . this dana will remain in time such drugs as in particular fentanyl and illegal aliens top invasion of our country. they have the absolute right to sell this long, simmering problem." back in october trump said the tariffs are part of the larger plan. listen. >> $3 trillion worth of imports, you will add tariffs to every single one of them and will push up for the cost of people who want to buy foreign goods. it is mathematics, president trump. >> yes, it is not the way you figure. i was always good at mathematics. the higher of the terror of the more likely the company will come into the united states and build a factory in the united states so it doesn't have

be impacted by tariffs. i am not saying that is the case for every business and the country but that is the simple way to put it if running a business and keep it domestic, you will be fine and will not have to raise your prices or face price increases. but for those companies, julie, getting supplies from overseas, they have to be doing some things. i have to tell you, a lot of clients making lives to make sure they are protecting themselves. >> julie: let's be realistic, a lot of american companies do not buy american. they rely merchandise from other countries. while this will be set to punish other countries that don't voluntarily cooperate with president trump on his immigration plan such as mexico and canada, could it hurt american business owners at the same time and backfire? >> it is definitely going to provide a challenge for american businesses. by the way, these are not just

large corporations but small merchants that resell on their websites or amazon. they will certainly be affected by this. like anything else that comes across in a challenge, people have to pivot here right now, i see a lot of them buy from overseas suppliers and stored these goods in advance of this terra for coming because the more they can buy now the less they will be subject to as price increases later on. by the way. interest rates for working capital and higher storage cost to incur, but that is what a lot of companies are doing. and at the think companies are doing, julie, they are looking for alternative suppliers. maybe you can buy american that if you can't you can pivot to another country than china with the largest level of tariffs and use alternate suppliers as well. is this going to increase prices to you and me? >> julie: oh, yeah. >> it could but it depends how

the businesses decide to absorb price increases. maybe they invest in technology. >> julie: i think if american companies are forced to buy america, that will cost more and who will pay for that? we are. we will buy the merchandise they have to raise cost on because they will not buy max from foreign countries. it comes down to the taxpayer dollar. i want to hear from steve forbes on this, watch. in this case, it works because they know donald trump might be the guy to pull the trigger. we did last time, the first time in decades and present impose tariffs like that and they know he is capable of doing those things. but it will be damocles and you don't have to apply them. the fact that they know he could will push the negotiations. >> julie: i think that is a great point, the fact he could will certainly speak volumes. >> yaps hotel betas as a negotiating tactic no question about it. julie, let's not forget they are

tariffs in europe since the marshall plan world war ii. but instead for american companies to sell goods many parts of europe. if we use tariffs as negotiating strategy, the ideas to reduce tariffs to make it easier to sell goods overseas as well. that increases profits and hopefully keeps prices down as well appear until there is a lot of room to negotiate when it comes to tariffs. mr. boards is absolutely right, it is a starting point may be leveraged and may not be at the end game is to make it a fair feel of one thing, i have clients in the furniture manufacturing industry, they can't wait for the tariffs to be imposed because the chinese are dumping low-cost products and raw materials in this country and undercutting their prices. these companies cannot grow or hire any more. so a lot of people are fans have the tariffs and i want to be clear on that. >> julie: i am glad you

>> mike: it may feel at the country is more divided than ever about new op says after eight talks medically here give thanks for thanksgiving. joining me now pastor robert jeffress first baptist church and fox news contributor, pastor, welcome. >> a happy thanksgiving. >> mike: what is your message to people on thanksgiving day when we encounter blessings? >> you know the first thanksgiving proclamation issued by abraham lincoln during the civil war, 1863. even though hundreds of thousands of americans dying, lincoln said there are things to be grateful for and he was doing what the apostle paul said years earlier in everything give thanks. the fact is, we have been to a contentious election but we can be thankful that every four years we get to select our leaders peer into the economy is troubling for some people, but

the fact is the average family of four making $50,000 a year is wealthier than 89% of the rest of the world. we can be thankful for lots of things. if you wait until you feel thankful to act thankful, that will never happen. instead of, if you act painfully with gratitude, you will feel thankful. there is a reason we call today thanksgiving and not thanks feeling. >> mike: pastor, for those who have a difficult family situation or struggling with something whether they are health or some other thing in their life, what is your message of hope for them on this day? >> you know, i encourage people to take a piece of paper and write out all of the things they are worried about. make a list of those things. can change the heading to worry list to prayer list. paul said philippians 4, pray about everything and do not worry about anything.

tell god your needs and do not forget to thank him for his answers. if we will pray more and worry less, it will change our whole perspective. >> mike: very important message there. looking ahead to a new year, what about that as people think ahead to the future? >> well, i know we are still thinking politically in a lot of ways. i think there are a lot of things to be hopeful about. i think america is coming together. i talked to president trump last week. he has focused on his agenda, that he has also got a great spirit. he is upbeat. i think america is starting to feel that way. i would say anybody who did not vote for president trump, pray for him and we ought to be praying for him just like the bible first timothy 2 pray for those in for. if president trump succeeds all of america succeeds and that is something we can truly be grateful for. >> mike: pastor robert jeffress, have a blessed thanksgiving and think you've so
