are other nonmigrant travelers feeling about this? >> china thing, you can imagine how frustrated they are hearing this and especially right now, the holiday season and people rushing to get to the airport early. have to show the i.d. and wait on the security when. migrants, illegal migrants don't have to show their ids and most of the time able to wait and special lines to get through security. a recent report dhs inspector general reveals illegal migrants don't need to show any i.d., passport. instead of, cbp 1 app as our document. they can choose to allow officers to take their picture. the cbp 1 app used by tens of thousands of migrants to seek asylum who allow us to self-report information. they inspector general report states that "if cbp and i.c.e. allow continued noncitizens with identity officers to not confirm

to enter the country, they may inadvertently increase national security risks." a person for dhs fired back at this report telling fox, it contains inaccurate statements and lacks important context. we spoke to their martial director who tells us this has been a concern for years. she is hopeful of these problems will soon be something of the past with the new administration. we have been fighting this for over three and a half years now because i'm headed, and people on a aircraft ra through an out way the aircraft but when they land and take another flight. i don't know it's americans are aware, this is not just a one-time thing. these illegals can fly on flights over and over and over again. >> and most of these flights are free flights that you, the taxpayer, are responsible for paying for, jonathan. >> jonathan: brooke taylor, thank you very much, anita.

talk to me about a federal program called 287g, which gives sheriffs and other local officials i.c.e.-level powers. will we see that happening as well? >> and expansion of 287g will help the communities which initiated and will help the federal government on that on the logistics side to find those in custody especially that are also in the country illegally. 287g strict regime for men and women on the front line of local law enforcement and an agreement with i.c.e. so when they encounter people, they can do checks where they are from hotel immigration status, whether deported or not. they can do preliminary work to identify these people and get them ready to be put on a path for removal. once adjudicated in state and local case and turned over seamlessly to i.c.e. to be deported. this is a program that has been around for decades, but there are counties and states

participating in the. expanding it in the round and we had the last worst migration event in the last four years we have ever seen in the history of the country. having more 287g trained law enforcement personnel at the local level will help i.c.e. and help dhs accomplish the mission of deporting these criminals that are all over the country and help secure the border into way that is meaningful, especially the people who commit a crime. >> anita: a want to turn your attention to these images that caught everybody's attention the other day. 18-year-old boy from el salvador who made his way across the border, he was with coyotes that left him to fend for himself. he came across the border patrol agent and he was crying, lost and told he was looking for his parents already in the u.s. let's take a listen to some of that sound. spoken many times in the last year an a or to what the democrats are doing wrong and sort of talking about these things and have their own candidate. and the policies. all of those things are right and the democrats have seen better candidates and they need to move to the center on economic and cultural policies. my point is there is a deeper, cultural problem with the left and democratic party. a party of openness and moral condescension. your previous segment where you are talking about immigration but what the left has done is said to people if you disagree with us on open borders, then you are a bad person. what that has done is it has caused the left to shut its ears and to stop listening to people. it has made it a lot dumber. it makes them feel good among cells in a cheap social status among fellow progressives, bennett made them a lot more attuned out what the country is saying and made them ineffective. a big reason i think for the loss. the democrats have to do is cast

away the sort of culture of moral condescension and talking down to people and start listening. we talked about this with all of the expression of the use of the word fascism and end of democracy and people turned out to and they don't leave it and they don't like the moral condescension. >> jonathan: i wonder if that is what you think john fetterman might beginning at. in his quote in "the new york times," the interview with "the new york times" he said this, "buckle up and pack a lunch because for years at this. if you have a choice to freak out along the hour, that is your right but i will not. if you freak out on everything, you lose any kind of relevance." you think a lot of democrats have been doing since election day freaking out and do they need as john fetterman says, to stop doing it? >> i do think they need to stop freaking out. the writing has been on the walls as we have discussed many times with not just the policy go to the policy on the economy

and all of the cultural issues and even things like the green new deal has been out of step with where the voters were. they did not listen to all the data that showed that. as i said go to the candidates were wrong, and i think the democrats are going to have to do things like going on joe rogan's podcast. the fact that you had a few woke staffers saying it would offend fellow progressives is lunacy. it is exactly the type of place you ought to be going. if you look at why working-class voters and particularly men have shifted republican, it's -- you can look at immigration and unfair trade, and you can see how working-class voters and people that work with their hands have been disadvantaged and that sort of neoliberal consensus over the last few decades and why there is such a rebellion against it. and again, what the progressive left does is says, you are a bad person. that covers up for their luxury

just abysmal. george gascon, as everybody knows, head up or absolutely or absolutely humiliating defeat, which impact, he did suffer. in order to try to improve his chances were more likely help his post-va career, he decided to in essence bringing up this menendez case to see if he could generate some republics wait for himself because he didn't have any money. he then had a former public defender. this woman, nancy, head of the resentencing unit. and now approximately a year later, she has a head of the d.a. resentencing unit and brought over and they filed what they called a brief statement of fact. it should have been called cherry-pick statement of facts because it eliminated and did not include all kinds of damaging facts that were omitted, which basically demonstrates premeditation involved in the murder,

et cetera. what is important here is the process. the right now is that the judge has asked for more time. there was a hearing last week and quite disturbingly, kathy katie, is the lawyer representing the menendez brother comes into core as she is required to. she is allowed to be present. even though the d.a. arrange for her to be there, they go into a long chambers conference with mark era goes, the defense lawyer and i was just for the family for something like 45 mis without kathy katie or her clie. as a result, i don't know what that means, but here is what i do know the new d.a. anthony hoffman is a thoughtful individual, experience individual, and he said he will go through here until will take it a look at all the information and he will make a decision that is based on the facts and the law and not on politics as well

as with george gascon. >> jonathan: they are a little tight on time here, but i have always been fascinated by the fact that you don't think that these two rather should even be around now to have the possibility of parole or possibility of release. you think they should have the death penalty. >> well, listen, when you're looking at the facts that came out in trial and you look at what happens in similar cases, that is my personal opinion. that is my opinion as a prosecutor. there are certainly individuals who differ. in fact, the governor at this point, we don't have the death penalty in california anymore. this is as heinous of a crime that you will ever find periods feeling really fascinating. john, what is your prediction ultimately? nathan the incoming va will look at this one more time in the judge wants more time to look at it but are we going to see the
