i'm kellyanne conway in for sean. the biden harris administration is just weeks away from being only a distant memory for america. but, unfortunately, the horrific consequences of four years of incompetent leadership continue to plague our country. look no further than the southern border, where the historic humanitarian crisis they created continues. yesterday, just days after a 2-year-old girl was found by herself at the border, a 10-year-old boy from el salvador was discovered sobbing by the texas department of public safety. take a look. [speaking foreign language].

>> of course seeing an innocent child in that situation is heart breaking. but dangerous people, criminals, are crossing as well, including a your daneian national just caught crossing over the northern border and remember the venezuelan gang members taking over apartments in colorado. they have apparently moved on to new york city where several were just arrested in the bronx caught allegedly trafficking drugs and running a credit card fraud scam. but help is on the way. a second trump administration will, as promised, conduct the largest deportation operation in american history. and it will have willing partners in that effort,

including in the state of texas which is now reportedly considering a new plan to bus illegals directly from the border to ice detention facilities once president trump takes over. here, with the latest details on that effort, is our own sarah carter. sarah. >> yeah, kellyanne, thank you so much. yeah, texas governor greg abbott has proposed to the incoming administration, also spoken with, i just found out tonight, incoming border czar tom homan a proposal of using private contractors that he had once used to bus migrants over 128,000 of them, actually, to sanctuary cities, to use those private contractors to actually bus migrants crossing illegally to ice detention facilities to remove them from the country and repatriate them back to their home lands once president trump comes back into office.
6:04 pm
i spoke to tom homan, he agrees. he said this is something they can work on together because it will actually free up ice officers to let them do their job. they won't need to be driving buses across the country trying to repay trait these illegal allians back to their homeland but he will be able to use them to enforce on the city streets to make arrests and do the enforcement duties that they need to do. just to give you some idea of how this works, one example was the fact that governor greg abbott had used this program using private contractors and bussed over 45,000, in one case, to new york city illegal migrants to sanctuary cities a lot of people credit greg abbott with this move as well as governor ron desantis with opening the eyes of the american people and basically exposing the total chaos and catastrophe that was happening at the border just like that heart-breaking video that you saw with this young 10-year-old boy being

moved into the country alone, undocumented, and without any guardians. this is going to be a really big deal kellyanne. it's a game changer because it's going to free up our law enforcement officers to do their job, remove the illegal aliens out of the country that are attempting to come in and are coming in right now, and then give the government the impetus that it needs to continue the programs, finding those lost children that are in our country and expanding all of the resources necessary to remove people from the united states, send them back to their homeland in a dignified humane way. kellyanne. >> there are the words dignified humane way and i think you're describing people enforcing the law and having an infrastructure and apparatus in place that allows them to respect and enforce the law. you know, sarah seems when people herd defund the police they certainly thought of their local communities and neighborhoods but they also must have thought about these border patrol agents and ice who are so disrespected and so under

texas they're moving around the country. every ounce of fentanyl is less overdose deaths every one they arrest fortress pass is one less got away. at least we know they're not terrorists we're going to follow that across the southwest border. my plan is and i'm very vocal about it we're going to contract out as much as we can work that doesn't require a badge and gun because i need that to do the deportation. someone for deportation whether ground or air whether processing or other administrative duties, contract that work out so right now we have badges and guns doing that work. get them out of the administrative work put more on the street and that's what we're going to do knees these sank wear states and cities keep pushing back i'll have extra resources to double manpower in the sanctuary cities because we can't arrest the bad guy in a jail with one agent that means i have to send a whole team out in the field to find this person and all for safety reasons we need a whole team rather than just one person. so this is the plan we're

terrible, trump is going to be a disaster for the economy. and yet all of the indicators look the other way. people specifically are seeing super excited and confident about president trump's economy back in 1600 pennsylvania. what do you see? >> no doubt there is a sense of euphoria out there that there is now with the president-elect in. a sense of urgency to the problems they are facing economically. i went out and did your typical man on the street interviews for the holiday season a couple of times recently. and i have to tell you, people are saying we don't have a budget this year, we are feeling good. there is a sense of optimism that something is going to change. we get consumer confidence numbers every month and the latest number for november shows consumer confidence is way up, especially among young people under 35. so things are starting to get and feel better. >> that is a remarkable statistic, at -- as is the

statistic that donald trump did so much better with young people than your typical presidential candidates. and even then he did in his last two election cycles. i think the democrats thought they could get young people on climate change and democracy and abortion and many young people care about those, no doubt, but they really care about affording their first home and being a part of the investor class and getting the natural accoutrements of an adult life. so if young people are feeling more confident, how does that affect, say, the consumer sector and everyday goods and services, luxuries, necessities and of course home buying? bring us a year or two forward, what you see happening? people want to be able to afford it and we saw mortgage applications go up the past couple of weeks, even though mortgage rates also went up. so typically if the mortgage rate goes down, you will see the application go up and the opposite happened because people think things are getting better. has the economy meaningfully changed in the three weeks since the election? no. but the way people feel about it has. >> steve moore, you've been an advisor to steve -- for president trump for at least a decade now and when you look for the first 100 days or so, we are talking, what can president trump do specifically with congress on his own and the executive branch to make everyday affordability for americans better? >> first of all, lauren is exactly right. so far donald trump as president-elect is just pressing all of the right buttons. the fact that he has formed this doge committee that will ban hundreds of millions of dollars of waste and it doesn't matter

if your democrat or republican or independent, everyone knows that washington is so fat and obese right now, these programs that we can save hundreds of billions of dollars. and then his new initiatives to get fentanyl out of this country, these are common sense solutions that appeal to so many americans. i tell you this, i think within the first hours, not even the first couple of days, the first hours that donald trump is an office, he is going to start signing executive orders repealing a lot of the crazy regulations that the biden administration has opposed -- imposed that will strengthen businesses. the other thing is we will start using american energy again. get back to -- we think we can produce 3 million more barrels a day. do the math there, at $70 a barrel, that's 270 million more dollars a day then we produce in this country every day for the next couple of years. so there is reason to be optimistic because this president is a businessman, he knows how the economy works, you knows how businesses work.
