the whole time. that was the plan. if he got in trouble any democrat president would get him out of jail. biden just changed his mind over thanksgiving dinner and suddenly told his staff it was time to end all of this. that's spin from the biden camp. they said he was worried that trump would get revenge. why would he be in a vengful mood? maybe because biden almost got him shot dead and made him rot in jail. now they are saying, look, of course he was a liar. he was going to pardon him the whole time. >> do we believe that they were going to let him go after their son? he is leaving the stage. this is not a donald trump situation where he could come back and run for the president. he is done. joe biden has played by all the rules that people told him we had to play by. he has done at all. so good for joe biden and good

dr. fauci. why would he need a pardon if he didn't do anything wrong? well they have done a lot wrong. they know it, and we know it. and they are trying to get away with it. you don't get to abuse power and beg for blanket pardons. they are for those that have served some time and maybe deserve a second chance or are related to the president. other democrats are like, you know, there is a lot of other people not named hunter biden with tax and gun charges. they could use help too. >> he used the power to pardon more sparingly for people who are not his son than you would expect from a democratic president. if you are going to do it, don't just do it for your son. there are a lot of sons and daughters that could use the relief. >> don't stop at hunter biden. pardon the 40 people on death row right now to get them off death row. pardon the 3,000 people who are

in federal jail for trumped up marijuana charges. pardon them so they can get back to their communities and contribute to their economies. >> jesse: how democrats went from biden is not going to pardon his son because no one is above the law to free serial killers, i don't know. but there are reasons that society has consequences. consequences keep people from hurting other people and hurting themselves. listen here to our colleague charles payne. >> my brother is getting out of jail on friday. my brother was among the first 100 crack addicts in america. at least first 100, 200, in the hood when he told us about crack and how great it was. i had not heard about it before. i kind of don't want him to go back to jail. because he would stop by my aunt's house. and he lives away from here. and he didn't have shoes on in the middle of winter.

guy. look around. if he didn't like a law, he would break it. he has been smacked down by the courts more than anyone. his family doesn't pay taxes, but you do. and he takes your tax money and spends it on migrants and calls you a bigot for saying that is not fair. see what he is doing here? he is claiming the moral high ground, when he is really trying to import voters. biden says that the laptop was fake and pardoned his son for everything that we found on it. everyone is waking up to the fact that this whole presidency was a lie. you were intending to do this all along which is no problem. but it doesn't make you less full of it. you understand that the democrats are no longer in a position to say anything right? you can talk until the cows come home. you are whistling into the wind. no one wants to hear what you have to say right now. i am talk about your party. because when you pardon your son, going back on your word,

telling the american people there was no way that you were going to pardon him when everyone and their grand momma knew that you were lying, and now you have confirmed what people believed that you lied about the thing that you said that you wouldn't do for your son -- >> jesse: are any democrats proud to say they are a proud biden democrat. does anyone want to be associated with joe biden at this point. it is an open invitation to come on this show. come on this show and tell me you are a biden democrat. why you are proud, give me one example. i don't think that biden is getting a library. no donor is going to give this 82-year-old failed president money for a library. what are they going to get out of it. biden is going to have to store his papers in his garage next to his corvette. this is a problem and an opportunity. it is their chance to break from the big guy.

made the american people broke. he had enough when biden made a liar out of him. so where does the democratic party go now? clinton has been me tooed, barrack is in hiding. what is next? there is a struggling for the soul of the democratic party. frances buckley says how they can pull the plug from the higher class and reconnect with americans. the party would have to abandon the message that their opponents are bigots are stupid. and they would to wean themselves from the serotonin rush from thinking they are the anointed ones. they would have to give up on the idea that they alone defend democracy.

let's bring in a former democratic adviser and cohost of the morning meaning that we enjoyed greatly during this election season. how are democrats feeling after this pardon that was just decided. >> they are not feeling good, jesse. when you have steven a smith, and john stort going after you, you have a problem. this was the cap stone to what has been two years of political failure on the part of joe biden as the political leader of our party. you know, democrats have believed for the last nine years since trump rose in bed rock principles. no man is above the law and the institutions of this country and the people that work for them are good and honorable. and joe biden just knee capped right out from under us both of those principles. and now, you know, no doubt that donald trump will likely issue pardons to friends and others. he will say, hey, those people were convicted and attacked because of me, because they

support me. and he is probably going to do reforms to the department of justice and the fbi, and democrats are going to scream what are you doing? he is going to say, even joe biden thinks that those institutions are corrupt and the people there are corrupt. and this is all politics. and it puts the democratic party basically in handcuffs as it deals with donald trump. >> jesse: you said this was a cap stone to -- i don't know what you said, a failed presidency but the last few years have been bad. are you a biden democrat? >> i am a proud democrat. i think that the party has a real problem as it heads into the future. it is not seen as authentic or trustful. >> jesse: so that's a no. >> that's a big no. >> jesse: do you know any biden democrats? i invited the entire country if you are a biden democrat, come on the show and defend this guy? >> it is getting harder and harder to find. senators are saying things. the grass roots are upset. it is hard to find anybody

because they feel like going back to last year when everyone saw joe biden declining his mental acutety, and they were told all is well. and then we have the debate -- >> jesse: let me interrupt you because no one watching on tv thought that. you didn't need to hear from biden insiders all was well. you could see that he was not well. why did the democratic party carry that lie ahead? >> look, i mean some of us were saying over a year ago that it was an issue that the party needed to bring to the forefront and debate. and they were so -- their trump dearrangement system, they were so desperate to defeat him, that the biden people said, we did it once. we did better than anyone thought. we can talk about why that was. but they said look, we can do this. we are the only ones hack do this. and the party was so afraid of having a debate and actually you know putting ideas forth that they rallied around him.

director who put in this wall street journal report that they hope he succeeds in his quest to make america healthy again. it is hard to eat healthy here. it takes time and money to make a healthy lifestyle and not everyone has the ability to do that. we need a system that rewards both farmers and shoppers for growing and eating healthy options. they suggest we use the food stamp program to incentivize healthy purchases. that means no more soda vouchers. crack down on ultraprocessed foods in the school lunch program. we don't want sodium in the products, and slap big warning labels on high calorie products like they do in other countries so you know what you are getting yourself into. it is going to be a tough task. the food and pharma lobbyists

of line here? >> here is the thing. it is not that we should be slapping labels on food, is that big food essentially funds the research to tell you that processed grains and high fructose corn sirup is better for you than meat, and they demonize eggs. so if we look at the surgeon general in the 70's, when they told you smoking kills, it was pretty effective. we should do that with bad for you food and stop allowing the toxic trad of big food, and big ag, all those guys, big pharma to utilize the system against people. and rig the narrative. >> jesse: we are not shaming people. we don't want to get into this conversation. because a lot of people want to know how you work out and what you eat. >> we are not shaming people at
