what evidence are you honing in on right now? >> right now they are doing a canvas of the entire area, five-block radius, pick every piece of forensic and audio evidence and expand to 10 and 20-block radius. anybody coming in and out of the area, they'll know who that is, facial recognition, they will go through trash cans and alleyways. new d.n.a. evidence is possible a serious case breaker, especially if the d.n.a. is on record. they recovered rounds that can be traced back to a particular weapon if a weapon is found. they have good clues to start their investigation on and going forward. it is a good start, it is going to be a long travel to solve this case. >> todd: in your experience,

though, what is jumping out to you as oh, i want to find out more about this piece of evidence or that as linchpin that could bring everything together and find the shooter? >> well, we believe -- the public believes and based on video a silencer was used, that is a huge piece of evidence. silencer is not something you can go in any gun store and purchase, you have to file for a federal stamp to own a silencer and get an atf investigation to purchase a silencer. that is if it was purchased legally. they are going through records with atf, i'm sure. thanks to youtube, people can make their own make-shift silencer, if that is the case, it will be hard to trace.

>> todd: from the moment of this crime, everybody wants to know why, why did this happen? how do police in a situation like this begin to whittle down the possible motive? we have bullet shells reportedly with words written or engraved in them. we have an investigation by the feds into this ceo who was shot. we have an industry insurance that creates a lot of enemies. everybody watching this has probably had a problem with their insurance company at one time or another, rarely if ever has it led to somebody trying to kill an executive at said insurance company. we are not saying that happened here, it has led to speculation. how do you whittle down a possible motive in an effort to find the shooter? >> being the attack looked so precise and so particular toward an individual, it obviously

nominees. here is challenge to cutting debt. 13% is paying down debt, interest payments are larger than the defense budget. ent entitlement spending, social security and medicare account for 35% of annual government spending. challenge for lawmakers and elon musk and vivek ramaswamy to cut from a 40% portion. >> todd: it will not be easy. texas congressman lance gooden will be at the meeting and joining me now. i love drilling down on specifics of doge, i find it fascinating. in that meeting today, what advice will you give? where will you tell the guys to cut from? >> i will say have at it, one big thing is the rule-making authority these federal agencies have abused over the years.

so many rules on the books, not laws. laws are passed by -- one first thing president trump will do is rescind many and doge will work on getting rid of regulatory burdens created. they will say the president is overstepping, but the president is undoing prior overstepping over the years. we will make sure washington bureaucrats have to show up to work. they will not want to show up five days a week and they'll be shown the exit. as member of congress, i will tell mr. musk and vivek ramaswamy, they have our full support. we'll have hearings and help them out when they don't get answers we'll haul people before next congress and get answers and help them do their job

now. it is awesome to have you on the program, victor. you initially though asked trump to stop using the song because you were getting so many complaints. why did you change your mind and allow him to do it? >> well, i decided to allowed president-elect's continued use of ymca because he seems to genuinely like the song. some other artists were strong him from using their music, so i decided to contact bmi and told them to not to terminate his political use license because he seemed to be bringing so much joy to the american people with this use of ymca. >> todd: victor, it's not just the president. every american, dare i say every american in the world loves when you wrote it did you think it would be basically everywhere?

>> one never knows, you know. time is the only thing that makes you know. so i never had any idea. >> todd: the question on everyone's mind now, will you may at the inauguration, victor? >> well, if you were to ask me today if village people would perform at the inauguration, i would probably say not because we would be concerned about endorsement. however, the president-elect, because the president-elect has done so much for ymca and brought so much joy to so many people, the song has actually gone back to number one and is still number one today. so, if he were to ask village people to perform the song live for him, we would have to seriously consider it. >> todd: we know he watches. so mr. president-elect. the ball is in your court. finally, before we let you go, you're in entertainment.
