reestablishing a balance one that is fair to christians, drews alloway since 0 one is going to take a lot of work, it's an opportunity, the one pushback i give, during the last four years the administration gave huge amounts of financial advantage to russia and iran by effectively lifting sanctions and allowing oil to flow and they funded that support, yes it's good that he is gone but it could've been gone four years earlier if his allies had not had the funding that they got by the biden administration re-empowering the funding that they were getting from oil. >> president biden in his remarks in the work of the administration and you take a lot of this credit should go to prime minister benjamin netanyahu for not taking the petal of the gas and keep going. >> absolutely his attack on hezbollah his targeted attack

fighters to come in and head east and kill americans in iraq and when he became really captured by iran and later russia that was to a great extent his mistake but also represents the failed foreign policy that we have to prevent, when there was an opportunity with the potential reformer we have to seize it and sees it quickly. on the same trip that i met with him i met with king abdallah it was recently taken the throne and the crown prince in bahrain who had a steady hand for many years. we've had success stories with younger leaders in the region but it doesn't come without engagement it does not come with what president trump and ronald reagan reform was a peace through strength. president obama called for the overthrow of bashar asad more than a decade ago but did nothing. we cannot do that in the future.
1:13 pm
if we want someone to go they did to go quickly and for good reason. if somebody is worth working with we need to work with them in a way which clearly they have a choice at time for choosing as it was once called today we have a time for choosing with the emerging leaders in syria and quite frankly in early january the likely election of a president and lebanon for the first time free of real hezbollah dominates those are both opportunities but to be honest mossad bolus and others have been designated by the president they're going to have to work quickly and engage with the diplomatic skills. >> a new dawning of the middle east could be on the verge of happening. before i let you go austin tice the journalist being held by the regime or its allies for 14 years, graduate of georgetown we are told there is evidence that he's alive his family, could he
