mark. >> reporter: i had a couple of questions about document found he was in possession with. can you go over in depth motivations that you mentioned? was that ceo specifically named in the document and was there anything more about him wanting to go after others? also in the document, was there indication that explains how the level of detail he went into killing him? is there anything? >> that document currently in the possession of altoona police department. briefly speaking with them, we do not believe they are specific threats to other people in the document. but it does seem ill will towards corporate america. >> reporter: chief, was a suspect wearing a mask at the time he was spotted in mcdonald's? also, criminal cases all have a
10:50 am
linchpin. can you point to a single linchpin that cracked the case? >> there are numerous linchpins in the case and the fact we recovered an enormous amount of forensic evidence in an enormous amount of video. once again, with your help and the public's help. i could not put on one thing. but if i had to, the release of the photograph from the media. >> reporter: which is say. [inaudible] are you looking for evidence in central park? >> we had that came up with negative results. the passport, we do not believe he was planning on traveling. at this point in the investigation we do not believe he was trying to flee the country. >> reporter: the person at mcdonald's, what were they doing? >> it was an employee at mcdonald's. >> what was a suspect doing? >> he was sitting there reading.
10:51 am
>> reporter: back to new york. >> we have to work that out with the attorney's office in altoona and he will face gun charges there and some point we will work out to bring him back to new york to face charges but we are working with manhattan district attorney's office. >> reporter: i was just hoping to get more details. did he say anything to cops? we also reported he published online -- can you share with us what he posted? >> we are working through social media and we will do complete scrap of that. it seems he had ill will towards corporate america but that will come out. they are not done with that. we will still put this together and bring this to a successful conclusion. >> get a say anything to the place? >> i don't have that information. >> can you elaborate how we got there the fact that
10:52 am
george washington bridge? >> this just happened this morning and we will work to backtrack his tabs from new york to altoona, pennsylvania. >> reporter: i was going to ask if he took a bus to philadelphia first and then somehow got to altoona? we are still working on that and working through that. >> reporter: is there any one else working from the inside as far as tracking ceo's movements? once again, we are working the investigation hard. that could come out in the investigation but as of right now, we have no indication that took place.

>> will he face murder charges and face charges because he was targeting the ceo and because of his writings and other things that we are now finding on him? >> that determination will be made by alvin bragg. >> altoona specifically? >> he attended college in pennsylvania. i wouldn't be able to tell you that. >> we will take one more question. >> he talked about the manifesto said things against preparations but specifically unitedhealthcare and do you believe that luigi mangione acted alone? >> we believe at this point our investigation means towards acting alone. like we said earlier we are working through the investigation and not stopping
10:56 am
today. as far as manifesto, i don't have complete details of that but it is in the possession of the altoona police department. >> reporter: good job, commissioner, chief. >> again, great job by new york city police department and certain aspects of this investigation on the crime itself is something we have to zero in on, coast guns. we have a way talked about this since the beginning of the administration. they could be made on a 3d printer and they are extremely dangerous. and we must do more on the

federal level to crack down on the availability of ghost comments. ons. it leads to what we did last week and what we are doing this week. this week is all about public safety and public safety i have stated over again direct to prosperity. >> sandra: all right, we got the news and it happened this morning altoona, pennsylvania, members of altoona police department arrested luigi mangione, 26-year-old male on firearms charges and he is still labeled a strong person of interest in what was incredibly brazen targeted murder of brian thompson, ceo unitedhealthcare ceo. took the place gave details on thremanifesto at the mind-set of this killer or the suspect at this point or strong person of .
10:58 am
john, of the details are provided almost everything that he had on him and that mcdonald's at the time would point to this being the killer at that ceo. >> john: it seems to line up the way it was described by jessica tisch, the police commissioner that the manifesto suggested he held ill will to corporate america and in possession 9-millimeter ghost guns and suppressor likely printed out on 3d printer. this is what the police have been so worried about that the ghost guns impossible to trace because no serial number and not registered with anybody. 9 millimeters or a whatever cartridges and put them in the gun and this would prove to be somewhat unreliable and jammed a couple of times and he had to inject those live rounds, in order to get one in the chamber to fire, proved to be deadly effective against the target. show is it retired nypd and i

guess the brilliance of the police work is getting the phots out as the police commissioners and other said nationwide the public could spout this person and in this case mcdonald's in altoona, pennsylvania. >> that is absolutely the case. they put out the photos as they got them. you heard cheap can he say that he kept close which is how they should run the investigation. outcome is an excellent one. the fact he had the weapon on him and all this material on him shows how arrogant he really is in this crime. the fact that everybody thought he was a professional killer and not by any means, it is his arrogance and the way he committed the crime. what he did afterwards with a backpack and everything and kept showing everything, he threw everybody off. everybody thought you might have tossed the weapon into the lake
11:00 am
that yet, he has had on him. and altoona, why going there? i'm sure the police department and the detectives knew the bus routes and destinations and put the description out to them and their disabilities along the route. way over there make and keep the stuff with the manifesto? wasn't planning something else and that will to the investigation coming out from this point on. they will go on social media and see what the tie is to thompson if there is one because the question begs to be asked, why was he there that particular time a quarter until seven where mr. thompson with? >> john: how did he get them inside information? his page on x up and operating. it looks like he hasn't posted on it for a while. you talk about the arrogance of the suspect, joe, the fact he wrote what he did on the shell
