jersey. i see them with my own eyes for the federal government don't know what it is, the federal government, obviously, has assets where they can take off they know where they are taking off and landing. dawn fantasia sells we do not know where they are taking off from we thought the weds know something but they don't. feds say we don't know anything, people are going to freak out. >> lawrence: yeah, they are saying they don't know but also saying they do know. they are saying it's not a threat but we don't know -- they know something. they know something. and they don't want to tell us what it is. they are lucky that this is happening above new york and new jersey because, if it was texas or another southern state, do you know the reaction from the people? it would be down. will. >> brian: they say it's against the law, right? >> lawrence: it is against the
3:07 am
law. but they would react. if i remember correctly when they found out about the chinese spy balloon it had went over many states when it went over south carolina it was a big deal because we're just not used to -- we're distrustful of the federal government begin with we are just not going to allow drones in our community to happen, but apparently it's acceptable here. >> ainsley: look at the "new york post" cover it says close encounters of the turnpike, like the movie close encounters of the third kind. to your point about people in texas probably shoot it down. >> steve: drone it. >> ainsley: bret bell covic is a drone expert he has been on our show several times. there could be a bomb on this. listen to him even if we knew drones were the law enforcement doesn't know downing drones over the u.s. the faa has not provided clear
3:08 am
guidance. if there is a drone flying with a bomb provide law enforcement with the proper tools do something about it because this is just the beginningvel covic has been in ukraine a lot. >> this is the reason is he moved drone technology further than anyone thought. make their own missile defense. the president talked about iron dome. but we need a way to take this down. think about it. we got drones on our southern border. drones on our northern border. cartels are implementing it. and now, we're watching surges hit cities. surges of less sophisticated drones. in one day we could get up and

3:10 am
>> lawrence: you can have guns and all types of stuff. >> ainsley: bombers had it in a backpack. >> steve: yeah had it in a pressure cooker: we heard they are following all the rules. in 2023 the faa said you can fly drones at night without lights. this is where they are breaking the rule. that is the law says that they have got -- the operator has got to have line of sight with the drones. so it can't be flying 20 miles away because you can't see it. they are breaking the law. they should do something about it. go after them on that. >> ainsley: any chance this could be like some smart kid that made these drones. >> steve: some nights there are 150 drones over new jersey. >> brian: if you have a smart kid, question them today before they go to school and you give them fruity pebbles or fruit loops -- maybe it's the art official flavor. let's talk about this at 10 minutes after the hour, someone is ringing the bell. i believe that's a paul
