>> bill: before we go, what do you think? a couple things going on here. christmas spirit getting into full swing especially in the neighborhood of utah. >> dana: oh my gosh. >> bill: every yard sports an inflatable santa. but big santas, too, right? big boys. >> dana: oh my. it looks like a wrinkle in time. >> bill: 50 enormous decorations. that one is 30 to 40 feet high. well done, you made the news. our before we go. >> dana: just gutfeld is there at home with a little baby so perino! ! . i will fill in for him tonight. who knows what kind of antics will be on and if i still have a job in the morning. we'll check. >> bill: do you think greg will be at home doing a review? >> dana: yes, i will ready for the twitter teasing all in good fun. >> harris: fox news alert.
8:01 am
24 nights in a row drones have appeared in the skies that state law enforcement is now saying are operating on a frequently they cannot detect. this is a national security concern. it is happening mostly in the state of new jersey. yes in the county and areas near where incoming president donald trump has a home bedminster. lawmakers, americans across the country want answers. we get nothing. i'm harris faulkner and you are in "the faulkner focus." the drones are violating multiple faa regulations. now if you and i did that, the feds would come after us. who put the drones in the sky? you know on this program we've had some people tell us. the agency states that drones can only fly up to 400 feet in the sky and must weigh fewer than 55 pounds.
8:02 am
these unidentified drones are operating in an undetectable manner and they do not keep their lights on when approached. okay. so if you go near them, they obviously are motion sensitive. and can disappear. by the way, you've been hearing us say it. some of them are the size of an s.u.v. also they are illegal. fines for those breaking the rules can run up to $75,000. new jersey congressman jeff van drew on "focus" with me yesterday made worldwide news with this. >> iran launchedp probably about a month agorship tell you the deal. off the east coast o drones, everything that we can see or hear and again these are from high sources. i don't say this. know that iran made a deal with
8:03 am
china to purchase drones go for. the sources i have are good. they can't reveal who they are. they are speaking to me in confidentiality. these drones should be shot down. whether it was some crazy hobbyist that we can't imagine or whether it is iran. i think it very possibly could be, they should be shot down. we aren't getting the full deal and the military is on alert with this. >> harris: i kept pressing yesterday. he wasn't the only lawmaker to tell me that. get to that in a second. the pentagon was taking questions on it. jennifer griffin asked and the pentagon claims van drew is wrong. >> we have no evidence that these activities are coming from a foreign entity or the work of an adversary. no iranian ship off the coast of the united states and no so-called mothership launching drones towards the united states. >> harris: tony gonzalez was on
8:04 am
with me later in the date when i filled in on "the story" for martha maccallum. he has also been talking with people at high levels, highly regarded sources, about an iranian mothership off the coast of the eastern seaboard. he have said that without refuteable information, that all is on the table. but he also is having those conversations just like representative jeff van drew. i will continue to push. the "new york post" cover with a play on the classic film close encounters of the turnpike as the new jersey turnpike. nate foye is south of newark, new jersey. nate. >> congressman jeff van drew is doubling down on those claims that he told you yesterday saying again this morning that iran may be behind these mysterious drones in new jersey and new york and floating the idea it might possibly be china. the pentagon as you heard says there is no evidence to support
8:05 am
that but moments ago mike johnson told our colleague chad pergram he is about to learn more. >> we'll be talking about it today. it is a quandary. the hearings have not yielded much yet. >> new jersey governor phil murphy he would be the most surprised guy in the state of new jersey if these drones turn out to be u.s. military. he also had this message for people frustrated with the state's response. >> i want folks out there to know we're not -- listen, you are frustrated, so are we. based on -- we'll stay at it. i promise you, this is our top priority. >> bill: state legislators and mayors don't feel like it is a priority. they received a briefing yesterday that murphy didn't attend even though his office called the meeting. >> the briefing i just sat through was a disgrace, insult to our legislators and never been through a more amateur hour
8:06 am
briefing in my entire life. my head is about to explode. >> they know nothing. >> this is america. are you telling me that somebody can be flying drones over my town and nobody has any idea what is going on? this is unacceptable. >> one state assembly woman who attended the briefing yesterday said she believes military intervention is the only path forward and if that happens, the u.s. coast guard would be the most likely to take action. we'll send it back to you, harris. >> harris: they better get it near the water. van drew said that's where they should be shot down if we can get them to position themselves over in the water these huge drones. nate foye, thank you. republican congressman tony gonzalez, i just mentioned i spoke with him later in the day. part of my interview with him. >> i did have a conversation this morning with a high-level law enforcement official where we talked about the possibility
8:07 am
of a mothership being there with the drones. i think the fact that we don't have definitive answers is worrisome. how do we capture it so bring it back and figure out where it came from. find the flight path and frequencies and the meta data and who was it sharing information to. you aren't just going after an instrument but a network. this is the level of detail our federal government needs to work with our state and local partners to solve to keep americans safe. >> harris: i want to bring in brent sadler, retired navy captain, former pentagon official and heritage foundation senior fellow. so glad to have you. former pentagon official is the part i want to lean on now. is it possible that we just don't know what we don't know because they won't tell us? >> yes, i think that unfortunately is a very real possibility here and unacceptable. this is not a new issue. it is not because we don't have the capabilities to find out
8:08 am
where and who and how these things are being operated. it is not a dearth of authorities. we have those. it is really what is in short supply is the leadership. it spans several agencies. >> harris: yeah, it was a theme with the election. the border comes right out of that. dhs has blown up to the point it can't do anything right. we have that, we've got problems with the secret service. we've got problems with fema. all under dhs. we see this. so now what do we do about it? >> i think that needs to happen is the white house needs to have an interagency effort that's led by someone who can speak authoritatively to the american people. right now you have a large crowd that doesn't have the full picture. no one seems to be able to take the leadership of what's going on here. that's long past due in my mind. >> harris: we've been talking a lot about the growing outrage. you are mentioning it, too, over how the pentagon intelligence
8:09 am
agencies and white house either do not know anything or are not sharing. i almost would prefer, brent, they just know it but don't tell us. we pay them a lot to know it. like taxpayers aren't getting our money's worth. the budget was many billion dollars. a post-it note on things the size of s.u.v. flying in the sky over a state that houses the home of an incoming president. we have to get something for that money for physical year 2025, the national intelligence program is requesting $73 billion and the military intel program $28 billion. a lot of cash for what seems like very little intelligence being shared with the american people. your take. >> $824 billion doesn't buy leadership and experience. that's what again we're missing in all this is someone being put
8:10 am
in a position or forced to be put in a position to demonstrate that expensive but can't buy it leadership. we do have the capabilities. you have had speakers on your show earlier in this week that also say the same thing. it is not a lack of capabilities. it is not a lack of authorities. it is a lack of leadership. not a new issue. >> harris: lawmakers i'm talking to. jeff van drew, tony gonzalez and others say it is time to take them down. quick concerns now how do you do that? you spent some time on a warship, submarine. tell us how you do that. >> there are several ways. you could shoot it out of the sky with small caliber guns. you could go up higher if it's something the size of an s.u.v. you don't want to do it over american townships. another one that has a lot of risk is use radio freq queen sees and trying to take over
8:11 am
control offer it. someone pacemaker or sensitive electronic nearby you might also interfere with that. there is no free ticket in this and again we've been admiring this problem over our shores for well over eight years. >> harris: great to get your expertise, thank you. well, another horrific crime has been allegedly committed by an illegal immigrant just before christmas now. a texas family has been left grieving the killing of their only child, a 7-year-old little girl. in chicago, people who live there yet again are going after their sanctuary city's mayor and how he handles illegal immigrants. >> there are some aliens who haven't put a dime in this country. >> we don't want illegals in our
8:12 am
community. we don't want migrants terrorizing our own people. >> harris: hundreds of millions going to caring for illegals. again a lot of money that the feds have in their hands while the citizens struggle. president-elect trump's incoming border czar says the mayor in chicago had better stay out of his way when he comes to town to fix the mess. republican senator rick scott in "focus" next. no more gross cough syrup. we all want you to feel better. i want extra tv time or i'll walk! how about this? introducing the only kids soft-chew for medicated cough relief. aaaaghhh! new mucinex children's mighty chews are mighty clever.

immigrant. he was driving drunk when he ran into the car ivory's mom was driving. the suspect took pictures of the crash and then drove off instead of trying to help the victims. ivory's family said they should be preparing for christmas. look at her, she is beautiful. instead they are making funeral plans. her mom was also injured in the crash and was just released from the hospital. republican congresswoman kat cammack says the blame for illegal immigrant crime has a single source. >> you can't even imagine the depravity that takes place in every single community as a result of biden's open border crisis. it is worse than people realize. under the biden administration they didn't care. they let americans die and their blood is on their hands. >> harris: brooke taylor has more on this tragic story. >> harris, sources tell me the
8:19 am
suspect is an illegal migrant from venezuela crossing over in 2021 in eagle pass. now he is charged with intoxicated manslaughter. the family of this 7-year-old little girl tells me this could have been avoided. their little girl should be here because of a number of reasons. court records show that the man was arrested for assaulting a family member in 2024. the case was dropped to a misdemeanor and after his conviction ice officials tell me he was turned over to them only for ice to lift that hold. so that meant he was free to be released into the community instead of being deported. so now just 2 1/2 months after that decision he is now accused of drinking and driving in the crash that killed ivory smith. >> he came over here illegal, so then you don't follow the law and think you are above the law
8:20 am
now you feel you can do what you want to do. he put a hole in everyone's heart in the family and now it is my job for her to seek justice for her. >> fox news got exclusive internal ice data revealing the nationalities of more than 1.4 million illegal migrants in the united states who have been ordered deported by an immigration judge and are not in ice custody. this includes nearly 38,000 chinese nationals. other top countries include brazil, haiti, venezuela. while the majority of 1.4 million illegal migrants ordered to be deported come from countries easy to remove like mexico, that ice exclusive data also has a list of countries that refuse to cooperate with the united states this includes russia, china, and also
8:21 am
venezuela. harris. >> harris: thank you. that graphic was where they are coming from is useful information. we know a lot of those people coming from venezuela are attached to gangs. thank you very much for the great reporting. >> mayor, you took an oath to up hold the constitution. was only intended to fight for the 10th and 14th amendment regarding illegal aliens. >> they haven't put a dime in the country. this falls on you. >> we don't want illegals in our community. we don't want migrants terrorizing our own people and how can you say we have to accept $70 million being given to them when you have black people already struggling and need help? it is a disgrace. it is a disgrace. >> harris: you want to know why donald trump won? you are watching it. yes, it was the economy but this is disgraceful. we've seen it so many times.
8:22 am
chicago residents venting their rage over their mayor's handling of the illegal immigrant crisis there. incoming border czar tom homan says that city in particular is priority number one and he is not messing around. >> chicago is in trouble because your mayor sucks and governor sucks. and we will start right here in chicago, illinois. if you are chicago mayor, doesn't want to help, he can step aside. but if he impedes us and knowingly harbors and conceals an illegal alien i will prosecute him. >> harris: there you go. tom homan, the incoming border czar referencing j.b. pritzker. one of the democrats leading the resistance to president-elect trump's plan trying to trump-proof their states, they say. pritzker said this. >> i'm open to dialogue with
8:23 am
him. you have know, i will say that he is not a -- he does not have the authority to do the things that he has talked about. being a border czar is not an official position in the government and it will be up to the president of the united states and up to the leaders of the customs and border patrol to make decisions about how we'll manage the border. >> harris: you know who is really mad about that now? kamala harris. because she had that job. anyway, trump's plans reportedly include scrapping a policy that prevents immigration and customs agents from arresting illegal immigrants at or near so-called sensitive locations without a supervisor's permission. those places include churches, schools, hospitals, and at certain events like weddings and funerals. "focus" now republican senator rick scott of the great state of florida, member of homeland security, armed services and budget committees. those things come all together
8:24 am
now. we spend so much money for dhs to get this right. why can't that happen? >> i have two, 7-year-old grandsons. if i loss them i would be devastated. why doesn't biden, pritzker, mayor of chicago, mayorkas, why don't they care? donald trump won a mandate to clean up the mess that biden created. so we are going to secure the border and if you are here illegally, you can't be here. think about it. we have almost 40,000 chinese nationals. these are generally single adults. why are they here? they need to be sent back to china immediately. china is threatening war with the united states. we should not have anybody like that. by the way, if they don't allow us to send them back, why are we allowing flights to come here from china? there are so many things we can do to enforce our laws.
8:25 am
so i'm glad donald trump is committed to doing this. i'm committed to doing it. our focus in january has to be to give donald trump all the resource evers he needs to clean up the mess that joe biden created. >> harris: 40 more days of this. biden could do something great for the country and at least help out in the next 40 days to slow this down. you mentioned in reference to 7-year-old ivory smith, our hearts break. but they keep breaking. lakin riley, jocelyn nungaray. so many of these victims now. this is untenable. >> homeland security, the democrats canceled the hearing for mayorkas coming to testify because they know that he can't defend the loss of all this life. i don't get -- doesn't he have a heart? doesn't he have somebody in his life that he worries about that
8:26 am
somebody here illegally unvetted might harm? i don't get it. >> harris: "the new york times" apparently is coming around to what fox news has been reporting and seeing with our own eyes for years. the headline from yesterday. recent immigration surge has been largest in the u.s. history under president biden. more than 2 million immigrants per year have entered government data shows. we know they can read so now they can write it. reaction, now it can be told store eaves from "the new york times" and it is remarkable the story came a month after the election. "new york post" opinion piece with this headline. "the new york times" finally tells the truth about biden's border failures after the election. senator scott, i want to get your reaction to that and also if you could, just mix in 40 more days of this. what can be done? let's start with first your reaction. >> first, "the new york times"
8:27 am
is just a political part of the democrat party. but why don't -- i just don't understand why they don't care. what we have -- we know what our job is. trump won. we have to get this done. i wish mayorkas would start doing his job but appreciative of trump and tom homan and the people who will do ute. i will do everything i can. we love immigration in this country, legal immigration. we want people in this country that want to live our dream and be knowledge our country not destroying our country through crime and bringing socialism to our country. it is disgusting what biden has done and the democrats have all been on board. >> harris: some of the people who came here legally, those migrants are some of the first ones to become victims of those here illegally. those particular communities. senator, thank you for being with me. i appreciate it. >> thanks, have a good day, bye-bye.
8:28 am
>> harris: you, too. [cheers and applause] >> harris: you see tom homan. i believe that's who he is with them. he will meet with the mayor of new york city today for their illegal immigration crisis that they have blowing up here. the president-elect trump at the new york stock exchange this morning. i've been told that is not tom homan. i need to check my eyesight. he is celebrating "time" magazine naming his person of the year. part of the buzz the president-elect has been whipping up. new polling shows that a trump bump is real. plus how many americans are really dreaming of a woke christmas? >> it's so dry. this winter dryness is not it when i have so many holiday looks to pull off. thankfully i know just the thing. and it is in stock nearby. >> harris: does it help you want to use google?

[cheers and applause] [bell ringing] >> harris: president-elect trump rang the bell at the new york stock exchange this morning. his first time ever doing that. he has been named one other time to "time" magazine's person of the year. so that's this year, too. and of course half the day is gone. 39 1/2 days until trump is back

in the oval office and new polling shows people are feeling optimistic. fox survey finds 54% of voters say they are hopeful post election. another national poll shows 55% of americans approve of the way that trump is handling the presidential transition. a new op-ed sums it up this way. national mood shift since trump's win is reviving america's lost vigor. trump's incoming press secretary karoline leavitt with this. >> there is a real palpable spirit out there. people know we'll have a real leader who will make this country safe, strong and wealthy. >> harris: a "new york times" piece focused on 14 people. here is a quote. the idea of america moving on from politics and being more united than it seems to be was a core idea for many in the group. they said they were tired of being criticized for holding

conservative or contrary opinions and thought a lot of other americans were, too. alexa henning former trump advisor and communications director for arkansas governor sarah huckabee sanders morgan harper, former ohio democratic senate candidate. great to have you both. i will come to you first, welcome to the program. what do you make of this optimism? yours was the party of joy and now people have it. >> i think it's pretty normal after a presidential election that when a positive way for a certain candidate for people to be enthusiastic for that candidate. what remains to be seen how much the president elect plans to follow through on promises he made on the campaign trail around issues people care about. as we know the economy was front and center. even in the "time" magazine piece we see him previewing he might not be able to address things like high prices, the
8:37 am
cost of living. if that's so he might find a situation where governing is a lot different than being a candidate. >> i think that it's not just the folks that voted for president trump but the entire country and also the world. everyone seems to have taken a deep breath and a sigh of relief whether joe biden remember his legacy or not. it was all doom and gloom and no one had faith the leaders would fix anything. they broke everything and president trump is already fixing things. tom homan is already meeting with greg abbott, meeting with folks around the country to try to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into this country. deals coming to fruition with canada and mexico. the president was already at notre dame in the reopening. he is retaking the world stage because biden and kamala have just disappeared more so than
8:38 am
they were during their presidency. >> harris: i'll move to this. google is the latest company to spark backlash over a super woke ad. a christmas shopping push that features a non-binary beauty influencer searching for skincare products using google. >> it's so dry. the winter dryness is not it when we have so many holiday looks to pull off. i know just the thing and it's in stock nearby. hydrated skin is a gift to everyone, no wrapping needed. happy holidays to me. >> harris: biologically he does shave. that exfoliation should help as well. that's just science. social media reaction, just what you might think. one red state writer with google, what should we do for our christmas ad? normal, maybe a family sharing gifts around a tree?

harris from "the new york times." these american people just want to be able to afford gas and groceries and live in safe communities. this just isn't working. it is exactly how biden and harris ran their campaigns. they spent six figures creating sets for podcast hosts instead of helping people in north carolina. this is exactly what people do not want and i don't know how long it will take for democrats to understand that or companies to understand that, either. this is not what the american people care about. >> harris: in keeping it on those politics, morgan. it is interesting because when you are google, you are supposed to get the facts that come up and the things that help you to go on and do what you need to do in life. even aided by artificial intelligence. >> i don't claim to be an expert in corporate advertising. google made a call it was in their best interest. the more important point google has too much power.
8:41 am
if we want to care about what google is doing and spending money on we should expect and hope that president-elect trump's department of justice will continue the legacy from his first term and biden administration and breaking them up and forcing them to di vest some of their current assets so none of us have to worry about what google is doing. >> harris: interesting. thank you for being with me. president biden is commuting the sentences of more than 1,000 americans. reactions to the largest act of clemency in history. christopher wray is walking away perhaps clearing a path tore trump's pick for f.b.i. director to take his place. >> if you care about the institution, and i think mr. wray does, i think it was the wise thing to do. >> harris: reaction from the president-elect ahead and lisa boothe in "focus" next.

history. it all comes after biden's very controversial pardon, of course, of his son, hunter. mark meredith reports from d.c. mark. >> good morning to you. good to see you. pardons by tradition can be controversial but the polling you reference shows just how disappointed so many americans are after the president broke his promise not to pardon his son, hunter. it was 12 days ago on sunday night as the president was leaving for africa that he announced a sweeping pardon to clear hunter's charges of tax fraud and lying on the gun form and covers anything that could have considered a federal crime over a period of ten years. an associated press poll finding only 22% of people approve of the pardon. 51 disapprove. 18% say no opinion. republicans and many democratic allies of the president have come out against this pardon and one woman who spent a lot of time advising the president over the years says the white house screwed up the timing of this pardon. >> had this pardon been done at the end of the term in the context of compassion the way
8:48 am
many pardons will be done, i'm sure and many commutations will be done would have been a different story. i don't agree with the way it was done and the timing and i don't agree with the attack on the judicial system. >> amid the controversy the president issued clemency for 1500. most will impact people placed on home confinement during the pandemic and shown personal growth. 39 people issued the full pardon. none are violent offenders. we hearing more pardons may be coming. democratic activists urging the president to get rid of the federal death row. >> harris: republicans are celebrating f.b.i. director christopher wray's announcement he will resign. two years short of his ten year term. trump posted it's a great day for america as it will end the

weaponization what is known as the u.s. department of injustice. i just don't know what happened to him. we will now restore the rule of law for all americans, end of quote. referencing the fact in 2017 he put wray in that position and now wray is quite different in trump's eyes. republican senator josh hawley, also is glad about this move. >> chris wray is a republican. republican appointee. but i think he was very bad f.b.i. director and i wish he wouldn't have been. i wish he would have been fantastic during his tenure at the f.b.i. and it is hard to find the high points. this is a guy who allowed or recruited informants in the catholic parishes and sent swat teams to the homes of pro-life demonstrators and a guy who did nothing when the f.b.i. repeatedly misled the fisa court. >> harris: that's a lot of low points for christopher wray and for america. we had to live through it.
8:50 am
"the washington examiner" editorial board with the headline good riddance to wray. no f.b.i. director is entitled to his ten year term if he doesn't do his job. a decade is a maximum allowable tenure. not an entitlement. the president has every right to replace him. the f.b.i. needs a serious disinfect ant. some democrats feel quite differently. >> the f.b.i. has a 10-year term. the reason is to keep politics out of the f.b.i. so i think it's really regrettable he clearly is responding to pressure and cutting short his term. i think he has done a good job and i support him. >> harris: wow, that was powerful commentary from senator hawley. >> yeah. absolutely. i think the washington examner laid it out well when they said
8:51 am
it is a tenure, not an entitlement. the president has the authority over the f.b.i. congress also has a lot of authority over the f.b.i. as well. i think the most articulate case against christopher wray has been done by the incoming judiciary chairman of the senate chuck grassley. a man in congress for decades. we know him and he is mild mannered and not hyperbolic, a statesman. he laid out the case and the substance of the case in an 11 page letter to christopher wray saying he has no confidence in the man pointing out the unprecedented raid against donald trump with 30 armed agents authorized to use legal force. they didn't do that against hillary clinton and joe biden but also pointing out the failure to vet the people we brought here during the botched afghanistan withdrawal including a man who had planned that election day attack on behalf of isis. so i think that was the most damning because of the messenger
8:52 am
and also the message. >> harris: democratic congressman seth mouleton is reacting to the resignation claiming that thousands of federal employees are so shaken up by trump's election that they may quit. >> the calculation that chris wray made when he decided to resign is a calculation that hundreds of thousands of federal employees are making right now all across washington and all across the country. there are so many public servants, people who joined the government not because of a political affiliation but just to do the right thing for the country know that they are going to be asked to do things that are lawless and trying to figure out when the right time to resign is as trump comes into office. >> harris: will we miss them? elon musk and vivek ramaswamy want to cut the doge. they will work out the department of efficiency. this gives them a help. what is your opinion? >> i say don't let the door hit you over the -- if you want to
