if they just pay a shipping company to carry their cargo, so it is very complex, and i don't think anyone should be satisfied with pat answers, i think we should do the work, analyze all the sightings, get better sensors in place so we have a way to detect what's happening. we also need to have authorities for homeland security and the faa to bring down these drones safely. you don't want to shoot them down over a city, that is dangerous. it would hit people. but there are ways to capture -- >> neil: in your eyes, don't go shooting them down. we will see what happens. >> you don't need to shoot them down in a population. you might want to shoot them down over a military base. >> neil: we will see. and be careful about it. senator, thank you very much. here is "the five." ♪ ♪ >> judge jeanine: hello, everyone.

speech that outlined his bold economic agenda. >> we are going to give tremendous incentive like no other country has. we are cutting our taxes. we are going to cut them very substantially. we got them down to 21%, from probably 42% or 44%. not we are getting them down to 15%, but only if you make your product here. for those who are running the big companies, those great big beautiful companies, nobody is going to be leaving us, you're going to be coming back, bringing them back to the united states. >> judge jeanine: and trump's goodwill doesn't end there. the latest fox news poll shows 54% of voters are feeling hopeful postelection. and america's big business leaders are falling in line. trump says he is meeting with amazon founder jeff bezos next week, and mark zuckerberg's meta has donated $1 million to trump's inaugural fund. okay, i want to start with you today, harold. you know, i'm just curious, i

mean, you are a wall street kind of guy, and i'm curious as to what your wall street friends think about president trump, he is talking about bringing back big beautiful businesses, and, you know, the pro-entrepreneur, when the biden administration is all about corporate greed and they are not paying their fair share and price gouging. kind of a different approach to business, don't you think? >> harold: it is. this is a good day. good to see you today. good to see tyrus here. my favorite fight sound is the university of michigan where i went to law school, and we start our fight song, hail to te victors, and president trump deserves what he is getting right here at the new york stock exchange, time man of the year, person of the year award, it is fugoing to be interesting as he embarks on this ambitious agenda that he campaigned on. a lot of what he said, some of the things he said i didn't agree with, but i am rooting for him in a huge way. think about two things i saw

this morning, one on our network and on other network. about two bipartisan pieces of legislation. one between elizabeth warren and josh howley out of missouri. they want to make it where pharmaceutical companies and pharmacy companies cannot the owned by an insurance company, a pharmacy benefit manager. and another by richard blumenthal and marsha blackburn, my home state of tennessee, the online safety act, kid online safety act. president trump has marshaled a lot of that incredible momentum he has right now, judge, to help pass some of these things, and as someone who is invested in the stock market, i want to see the stock market keep going up. i want to see people's wages keep going up, and i want to see, for that matter, the interest rates come down like every other american and we will see if the president can deliver on that and i'm a democrat rooting for him. >> judge jeanine: tyrus, so much has happened between 2020 and 2024. i mean, here you've got the only president in history to be on the cover of "time" magazine twice.

>> tyrus: three times if you count the time he put himself -- >> judge jeanine: yeah, that's true. >> dana: [laughs] >> judge jeanine: so the question i have is, no one could have predicted this would have happened. is america different, or is donald trump different? >> tyrus: no, i think what it is is the progressive left, with the exception of democrats like harold, went so far away from america that they gave an opportunity for president trump -- i think him not winning that election gave him an opportunity to really sit back and look at what america is. whether he argued -- he got a chance, and americans feel slighted and come up short. they also saw a lot of their personal lives, going through hardships, to know what rock-bottom is. the fact that the mainstream media continually go after him and attack him, that resonated with americans, and there is -- everyone of your favorite movies as a kid, you always want to see the comeback. and this was a comeback that

wasn't just from president trump, every american felt it and he did something to where he brought in anyone who wanted to be a part of it, whether they were friend, foe, enemies -- we could not lose harold on this show, but i guarantee you if harold wanted a job, he would find someplace for him because he just wants to win, and he made winning a fun thing at again, and at the same time, the other side, steadfast on shaming and blaming everyone else, and americans just want results, they want hope, and they also want things they can believe in, he gave everybody that. >> judge jeanine: it's interesting. he is going to fulfill joe joe biden's promise of unity. but jesse, you know, when you think about history, there are so many iconic photos of donald trump. i mean, you know, everything from the mug shot and on and on. what photo in the history book do you think will be the most iconic? >> jesse: mug shot to man of the year, i think fight, fight,

fight, has to go up there, number one. and by a mile. and i was actually, not to make it about me, i was actually photographed by the same photographer that took that photo, just thought i would mention that. [laughter] takes a nice photo. winning the fox nation patriot of the year award, i didn't think you could be it, and then he goes out and rings the bell at the new york stock exchange to open it. there are a few iconic things you do in this country. ringing the bell, throwing out the first pitch at a yankee game, maybe lighting the fox news christmas tree. these are big moments, and it is such a special time for this president. i didn't turn to the stock exchange for four years in the late '90s. i wore a suit and tie, went into the office every day on the train. market was up every single day. and i got paid $500 a week, and then on saturday, it was gone.

looks like given the people involved, week at elon musk and zuckerberg giving a million dollars and you've got bezos coming to mar-a-lago next week, and david sacks, who used to be with peter teal, and he is the crypto czar, it looks like the ai crypto czar, it looks like donald trump is really going full throttle on ai in this administration. there is not a lot of talk about it but he has all of the raw materials. >> dana: right, that's a great point that is not being talked about. i think about it a lot, in our world, i don't really understand it, even as we talk about drones and stuff, we all know that we are behind on technology, and so how thankful we should be that there is this huge turnaround, that now you have people wanting to work for the government and to help the government because if you remember just five or six years ago when trump was in office the first time, google had engineers who said they would not work on deep mind, it

was called, for the pentagon because they didn't want to work and help the united states of america because the country wasn't good enough for them. that has complete a changed peer i think we are going to talk a little more about that later. the other thing is thinking about money and capital, if you think about a bank account in washington, d.c., at the white house or in the capital, and how much you have political capital to spend, and president trump goes to washington with a huge amount of capital. and an ability to write checks that he can cash. and even today, in the "time" magazine interview, he said, i will veto spending bills that don't do what elon musk and the day, swami are going to come up with. i don't know if he is going to be able to do that all the time because the house is a very small margin, none of these things are going to be as easy as it sounds right here talking about it in december, but he has a huge amount of capital and he is willing to spend it and if he spends it wisely, he can get a lot done immediately, probably

deport illegal migrants who might have been accused or have been accused of crimes. watch. >> we are going to protect the rights of immigrants in this city that are hardworking, giving back to the city in a real way. we are not going to be a safe haven for those who commit repeated violent crimes. we made terrible mistakes in the past by preventing to keep our cities safe from those who have committed repeated acts of violence. >> dana: and val adams embraces cooperation, his counterpart in chicago mayor brandon johnson, this guy, he is bowing defiance of trump's grecian plans. but tom homan's warning there will be consequences if he blocks deportations. >> chicago is in trouble because your mayor sucks and your government sucks. [applause] and we are going to start right here in chicago, illinois. now if you're chicago mayor don't -- doesn't want to help, he can step aside.

but if he impedes us, if he knowingly harbors and conceals illegal alien, i will prosecute him. >> dana: tyrus, i was saying a newsroom today, if you like president trump is giving cover to people who want to do the right thing but who may be the city council or their state legislature don't want to back them up, in this case, importing to illegal migrants. this meeting today in new york is that a good step forward? >> tyrus: i could not be prouder of mayor adams because he is not the mayor that the progressive liberals want, but he has become the hero that the people of new york need. at his own expense. because at the end of the day he is a police officer and he is to serve and protect. that is what you want. he is not going to get support from those other groups but in this meeting he is showing he doesn't care whether you are illegal or a citizen, break the law, there should be consequences, and especially if you're breaking the law and you are not a citizen, he shouldn't be here. but he doesn't want the streets unsafe, he wants -- a sanctuary

city can be a sanctuary city, a safe place to be, but behave, follow the rules, follow the laws, or there will be consequences, and that is all his trying to do, which is amazing to me that this is such a big deal, so yeah, he is going to get cover from the president, but he is going to get support from the people, and those who vote should look at the people who have problems with keeping our streets safe because if you break it down, that's all it's about, is keeping our streets safe. the people in chicago, you think they're going to continue to vote for a guy who is going to obstruct keeping their cities safe? it works for a while but going to find out the hard way. >> dana: judge, do you think we will see some results? i am so hopeful. i don't want to get my hopes up too high and get disappointed. >> judge jeanine: i think we're going to see results because i think tom homan is, with the support of the trump administration, they are going to prosecute people for knowingly harboring illegals. that is a crime, and they are going to prosecute those crimes.

what i think is interesting is mayor adams forgot he was a cop for the first couple years of his being mayor, and i used to yell it here and say i want to see you roll your sleeves up and go to a homicide scene and be a real cop, but now that he has been indicted, maybe he has had a change of heart. what bothers me, though, is the quote is this. we want to deport those who are convicted of repeated violent crimes. first of all, as far as i'm concerned, any crime since you are here illegal, illegally, is enough. by the way, we have 1.4 deportation, million deportation orders already before we even get to the violent crimes. they've got a huge job, you compare new york and chicago to each other, at least in new york, mayor adams, to his credit, he is singing the right song, he is in the right choir now and i'm happy about that. but what's going to happen is if chicago and brandon johnson

decide, like moran healy from massachusetts and who is the other one, newsom from california, if they want to protect illegals who are criminals, even those against deportation orders issued, you notice when to happen? all of the illegal criminals are going to go to their states, and you know what? good on them, they are going to end up with an incredible number of illegals who are going to commit violent crimes, and finally, i think it is amazing that you would want to fight the deportation orders, especially if your job, if you are so ideologically left, you forget you work for the american pe people. >> dana: yeah, jesse, if you want to follow the rule of law, if there is a deportation order, then by law you have to deport them. it is not cruel to follow the law. >> jesse: like i couldn't harbor, at my house in new jersey, america's most wanted. i couldn't just have all of america's most wanted in my house eating and showering all day, and the government at the

gate saying hey, mr. watters, we want to come in and grab these guys, no, and there's a standoff, i would lose that standoff pretty badly. that is what mayor johnson is doing. mayor johnson thinks he's another country, like venezuela, with a nonextradition treaty, where he can move people -- no, you are in the same country. and it is also pretty stupid because he was complaining, texas, don't send any migrants here, and now he is like, well, don't take them away. which one, do you want them here, do you not want them here? i'm not really sure. imaginative rudy giuliani, when he was mayor, was harboring russian hackers on the lower east side, and the feds went to pick up the russian hackers and he was just allowing russian hackers to work and commit crimes from their little apartment down on the lower -- no! that would never happen because they are spanish and they are gang bangers, somehow -- it is no different at all. can we put up the picture of the

meeting between homan and adams for a second? my sources inside city hall stay home and sat down and just stared at him. he didn't say anything. it was a staring contest. because you never want to speak first -- no, you never want to speak first in a meeting, and adams do that because it is a power game, so they just sat there and for 45 minutes they just stared at each other. >> judge jeanine: waiting minute. there is no one in that room, do you have a wiretap or a bug in there, because that is illegal. may be there's already a legal one in there. >> dana: harold, do you want to be the body language expert and expand to us what happened in this meeting? >> harold: i'm glad, i listened to mayor adams after the meeting, and he said it was a good meeting. he basically articulated what's been said around the table, i think tyrus from the outset said it well. i would differ slightly with tyrus in just one regard. i think there are a lot of democrats like me -- >> tyrus: yeah, talking about progressives, talking about the tea party, talking to my everyday democrats.

>> harold: but i think a lot of everyday democrats. there was a democrat, i think came out and was critical of mayor adams for meeting with homan and saying he wanted to be helpful in some ways. you've got to have tension in politics. republicans have it on your side, has have it on our side. and some and stands up and wants to lead, it is a very good thing. most new yorkers, overwhelmingly number of new yorkers want safe streets, safe subways, better education outcomes, and whatever his motivation is, judge, i heard him, he is certainly having a little change on this issue because w i remember when the migrants were first -- >> judge jeanine: he was shaking their hands. >> tyrus: forced to be a politician but i'm a cop, not doing this. >> harold: i like it when politicians, particularly politicians, can say on monday, six weeks ago, i was for position a, after watching what happens six weeks, six month later, i had a change of heart, and whatever that change apart, attribute to him knowing and realizing his city has been

the democratic party. kamala harris promised us freedom. well, she delivered to us because now we are free from having to run anything in washington, d.c. that's not what we were signing up for, it's what we got. >> jesse: dana p? >> dana: well, van jones is often the one who is speaking truth to power or saying this is what i think, what he believes, and he is not afraid to say it. and nobody listened to him. nobody listens to james carville. nobody listened to larry summers or jason furman when they said the inflation reduction act is going to cause inflation. they didn't want to listen to anyone. oh, this drives me crazy. it's better now, but think about ten years ago when ways was first coming on board and you got in the car and put in the address where he wanted to go and you were in ways and looking at, and you know, you've been to the grocery store 100 times, you know you just need to go this way but ways is taking you this way. >> jesse: why does it do that? >> dana: and why do you listen to it? this was the campaign, the harris campaign had all of these people saying no, no come over

here, this is the way, this way, and they were like, nope, we are following ways, this is the way we are going. at the end of the road, okay, we got nowhere, telling you to go this way the whole time. karl rove had an interesting piece today in "the wall street journal." he listens to this thing harvard does every four years, the institute of politics, and as a campaign manager you go in and do an interview and you say what went well, what didn't go well, for your campaign? the chief of staff for kamala harris said recently after the election after they lost everything, we ran a flawless campaign. so the democrats have a long way to go before they figure out what happened. >> jesse: lost every battleground, but other than that it was flawless. judge jeanine? >> judge jeanine: kamala finally did something. she finally had an impact on the democrat party. they are out of power. but you know what, may be the democratic party will take advantage of this and look at it like bill clinton looked at his term midterm.

and understand, we did something wrong. and how can we make it right? and some see it like if you are, it's like the worst team at the end of football season, you get the first pick. you get the draft, you know? >> harold: good job, judge. >> judge jeanine: give them time to find good candidates, so they are not stuck with this, i've got to take this one or this one. and, you know, it is just a question of there being smart and understanding why they lost. i think they put up a horrible candidate. i like to ask anyone at home, what did kamala harris do as vice president? i mean, even the border czar for the next administration is more of a border czar than she is right now. and, you know, this is what i want. they went to joe biden. i want jill biden to go to that beach in rehobeth and i want her to write a tell-all. i want to know everything about what went on, especially with

kamala. >> jesse: i buy that. >> judge jeanine: so what i. >> jesse: and i put her on the show. what about you? are you feeling like joe biden and van jones, you guys are maybe processing this thing? >> harold: i said the last several weeks, anytime a party loses a presidential race, and you lose the congressional race as we did, whether you are a democrat or republican, democrats this time, you are going to be a little dizzy and a little wobbly from it. you got to figure out the next steps. in the '70s, democrats were out of power in the white house, the early '70s, jimmy carter won, and then democrats are out of power for 12 years. i was in middle school and high school, my dad was a congressman, the air when you moved your families, i work for george h.w. bush because as a kid, democrats are never going to get back into the white house, so i wanted to have an opportunity to intern, for the great louis sullivan, the secretary of health and human services. than in '92 this governor from arkansas figured something out and push the party back to

center, made it more competitive, last person to balance the budget, i was in congers at the time in 1998, democrats now have to figure out what do we do? partisanship is not going to drive the winning results you want. donald trump has upended politics in the country, i thought you said it very well, tyrus, at the outset. one of the things president trump, the great challenge for him, this economic message here, for me, the fault line will be whether he is able to satisfy both billionaires and the working class. and if he is able to do that, it will be one of the great firsts in american political history, and if he is not able to do that, just politically speaking, democrats have to get a better message. not only need to come back to the center, but figure out how do you appeal again and how do you resonate again with americans who not only want lower prices, but want better futures for their kids, which means safe streets, better education outcomes, and for that matter, how do we begin to pay down the debt so they are not saddled with a going forward? i'm looking forward to this. >> jesse: maybe that's what

they need, a southern democrat. >> tyrus: i don't even need a question, listen, dr. jill, i did not know that joy was the new f word, because that's what that was. [laughter] that was joy you and everything you stand for. >> judge jeanine: tyrus! >> tyrus: that's exact what that was. i know what joy when i hear one. and on top of that, you don't get to do that. there was moments when the debate happened, i know this man, it is time to step down, then they went to commercial break, then a complete a new guy. you don't get to drive the getaway car in the bank robbery and then when everyone gets caught tell the police, they actually stole, you were all in this together. at one point he said things for tv, and you even talked about lsu, kamala is going to win, they all did it, and now they are sitting around pointing fingers and what does judge always say? when you pointed finger at someone, you've got four coming back at you, even though it is technically -- that's not even -- what she says, who is going to correct her?

harold? and you know what, because you know why, you know what joy means. white house, you've seen how the sausage is made in equal important where the money is spent, the money spent in two big programs. it's great what they are doing and i hope they find efficiency and cuts, but do you think they will make recommendations on some of the entitlement programs? i think the country might listen to elon -- >> dana: i think it is unlikely. president trump and the "time" magazine article said it again, not happening. 60% of our budget is taken up by the social security and medicare costs of they have to find a way around it. however, this is going to sound like a dry topic put something they do that could make a huge difference, the issue of permitting. you will hear president trump talk about it a little bit, program, in the cabinet, if they can figure out a way to streamline permitting and get this country on a track where you can have a project that is done not in 20 years because of litigation and this permit and this permit, if they can streamline that, maybe use new technologies to figure out a way

to do that, that's great. the other thing that is exciting about this, i mentioned in the first block about those google engineers that didn't want to work with the pentagon, this is changing. these young people are feeling more patriotic about america. this is wonderful. this is really great. i would recommend this to some of the companies. i talked to david you live it, he runs the american dynamism fund. basically how can we make really patriotic companies that do great things with new technologies to help law enforcement, to help our military and first responders. so he has had some people from d.o.g.e. come in and say can we take your best people? but what if some of these countries in america like mark zuckerberg is going to donate a million dollars, why not also detail some of your engineers, so they don't have to work for free, still going to get paid, through meta or whatever, but detail them over to work with d.o.g.e. for six months, a year, something like

in medicaid, okay? there is tremendous excess, double billing, kickbacks, unnecessary testing, getting people to their testing and chauffeur-driven limousines, it's crazy, crazy excess spending. so without affecting the entitlement, per se, you can take out the waste in the entitlements. >> dana: some, but it is kind of a rounding error if you look at the calculator. >> harold: for the entitlement piece, if the president of the states was a very wealthy man asking people to work more, $50 million, sunday budget, give up your social security, let that be a start. if the numbers grow and grow and grow, we got to figure out, we are all living longer -- >> dana: better not invest in you know what. >> jesse: will you give it up? >> harold: if i'm worth $50 million when i'm 60 years old, i will absolutely -- >> tyrus: i would do it, as well. also a cap on welfare. a time limit. >> judge jeanine: interesting.
