situation which again there is a lack of confidence in biden and his ability to lead in the first place on non- military, non- national defense security issues. eric: talk about nonsecurity issues, were the big issues during the campaign is the price of groceries president trump hammered away on that. have the bike biden administration of the current president on that but then he did an about-face in his interview with time magazine. here's what the president-elect said in his interview with time magazine about grocery prices for time asked of the prices of groceries don't come down, will your presidency be a failure? his answer, i don't think so but look, they've got them up for a car i would like to bring them down it's hard to bring things down once they are up. i know it's very hard but i think they will. think energy is going to bring them down. do you think the prices could potentially go down? he says it's energy, lift restrictions and other measures he says will bring them down. if they are not down, if
11:24 am
inflation does not decrease or go away could he be politically hurt by that? >> i hope he is right. he might be politically hurt in e short term as some of his plans do not come to fruition in the way he promised. but look again, the backdrop here is that democrats were denying on the campaign trail these problems even existed. they're saying the economy is great. look at inflation statistics greatly ignore the prices you are seeing at your stores but everything is great. it's the year which trump has a lot of leeway and a lot of confidence among the american people who are just looking for someone to be on their side and admit there's a problem in the first place. and so he actually does have more wiggle room than a typical incoming republican president who might not be able to solve the problem even though they are critical of the outgoing administration. eric: dr. lauren wright of princeton university ground zero

arthel: new data shows more than 1.4 million illegal immigrants have final deportation orders against them. officials tell us those individuals are not currently in immigration and customs enforcement detention centers. many of them come from countries that are u.s. adversaries like china, russia, and iran. lieutenant chris of the texas department of public safety joins us now. so lieutenant, let's jump in here with almost 40000 chinese nationals among 1.4 noncitizens in the u.s. illegally under those final orders of removal from ice practices as of november 24, that's three weeks ago. just ice and know were all these illegal immigrants are? and if not how can they find them? >> good afternoon, arthel be great to be with you. those numbers you shares a very shocking how about a people have come across a border illegally special from adversarial countries from the middle east, from west africa, russia, china,
11:33 am
ice agents for the most part 1.4 million illegal immigrants have already had their due process the way to be removed is going to be the challenge for ice agents to be able to identify and locate these illegal immigrants that have orders of removal per especially those of special interest countries as you mentioned earlier. it does require cooperation from everyone in the country be from every state, every official, governor, mayor, this is what we need to get on board, work at the federal government to locate these individuals and have their due process already and also criminals in the country right now are thus not even including the got a ways but we've had over 2 million known got a ways that are in the country right now we do not know exactly where they are at and what their backgrounds are but what their intent is if it's going be very challenging task for this administration that is why they do require cooperation. at the end of the day we want to have, we want to show the safety and security of our state of the country. we need to work together to
11:34 am
become unified and locate these individuals have them removed to have a safer country as far as moving to these individuals. arthel: that cooperation is a partly not been there thus far but how do you encourage that? and once you do, i do not understand how you going to find 1.4 million people i said you you need help to across the board a bottom up top down. i don't know how you going to do it once you do gather them, how long does it take to deport them? to deport them back to their home country? >> your other question back to it how to get the cooperation? how do you get those that up obviously been critical of this mass deportation, from the new administration. you could put personal things aside and focus on the best interest of your states. that is to remove individuals who have had due process especially criminals, those who are in the jail system right now
11:35 am
that have committed crimes or been convicted of crimes, have them remove is going to require local law enforcement, state law enforcement they are the ones who are actually going to be able to identify some of these individuals who have criminal backgrounds and locate them for the easier process is honestly once an illegal immigrant is committed a crime they are in the jail system is to look at them of the jail system forget them a roof have ice remove them from the jail environment as opposed to being released into the city or state and then you have to locate them in a much more dangerous environment rate that is why this requires cooperation from elected officials, the jails, to actually help federal agents per especially ice agents do the job more efficiently. arthel: alright, so i'm going to take a look at some reporting for the "new york times" but from 2021 and 2023 an average of 2.4 million people migrated to the united states for each of those years. reportedly half of them came illegally. according to the congressional budget office a total net
11:36 am
migration of 8 million plus. not all illegal. this all happened during the biden administration. so lieutenant chris, i ask you, if that is the problem trump got reelected to fix it. how is he going to do it? >> is not going to be easy. i've said this numerous times as well. yes we have strong leadership that must be strong on the borders of the incoming borders art tom homan has been very strong advocate for border security special immigration. but is going to require identifying those who have come across here in the country right now having a more expedited assignment process for you going to do more judges to process individuals to have asylum hearings that way those who do not need to for asylum you can have that removed is going be very challenging task on top of locating those that are in the country now that evade capture. it's not going to be easy but with new administration and the leadership they have though get it done they are going to require congress as well to help
11:37 am
out as well maybe revamp immigration laws. >> wait a minute, chris, you can hold off on the congress part that has been the problem all along. willing to work on redoing legislation and new reform for immigration. but maybe now they will be somehow inspired we will see. hopefully they'll be speaking to you they are the texas department of safety because you definitely have hands on experience that you could share that may help this process that we want to get fixed. so lieutenant chris, thank you very much for joining us. we will see you next time take care. >> thank you appreciate it. >> and other prime authorities in san bernardino county, california guess what, they seized it more than 45 tons of illegal marijuana from a warehouse they say was a giant stash house. they value over $100 million. christina coleman is live in los angeles with more details on this huge hall.
