he wount up after that time in jail, he came out a different person and he wound up committing suicide. "washington post" has a headline. joe biden gave the kids for cash judge clemency, to maximize payouts, they gave kids harsh sentence, young people who should have received warning or community service would end up locked up, some younger than 13. the judges caused tremendous h harm. one man died by suicide, many youth became depressed and dropped out of high school. son of sandy fonzo, who joined us last hour. >> i was filled with every kind of emotion. hurt, defeat. now that i've had more time to

process it, it is more of anger. and just it is very deep ly upsetting and personal. he ruined my son's life, my life. multiple lives. so many kids have lost their life. joe biden came here and campaigned multiple, multiple times that he was joe scranton, he was one of us and he cared about our community and our kids and our families and that is just absolutely not true. he is not one of us. there need to be reform how overseeing of how applicants are chosen for these pardons. >> steve: this particular judge wound up sentence to 17 and a half years for essentially getting kickbacks. the estimate he made 2 million

in kickbacks. so joe biden granted him c clemency. he granted 1500 pardons, that is the guy perform the person she regards responsible for her son's death. >> lawrence: i'm floored by this story. one of my first jobs when i became an adult was being student advocate in juvenile justice system. the judge would often give second chances to kids. she was a tough judge. she used to be a school teacher. she wanted to give them a way out. i said what would judge gi lbreath say about this? she would say, this guy deserves to be behind bars because of what he did to the judicial system. it requires honor and integrity

and the fact he profited off criminal justice system is disgraceful and to further this, he got punishment to have president of the united states release him is you just terrible and this dpie, young man committed suicide as result of this man's action. >> ainsley: there are consequences for your sins. he robbed this mother of having christmas with her son year after year, unable for him to grow up and have kids and get married. he was caught at a party where there is alcohol. a judge put him in for profit facility. if he fills up beds, he was getting kickbacks, adding up to 2.8 million.

he gets all this money. how long was he in the facility? >> steve: eight months and served his term. >> ainsley: he couldn't look her in the eye, she said he was a changed man, never the same all because he was at ay party where there was alcohol. that should have been community service. >> steve: did joe biden look at the list of what they did? >> ainsley: he met the criteria, is what they said. >> steve: demonstrated remorse and was rehabilitated. >> lawrence: he caused our justice system harm. we need a president that is aware and knows what is going on. can't have staff running the white house and having criteria.

all of these offenders are connected to real people and all have stories to tell. part of my job was to assist with divergent programs, place kids in places to improve their lives. the thought, now i'm questioning everything and these were good people. i can't even imagine a judge getting a kickback over a program supposed to better the life of these students. i'm surprised and i got to be hon ev hon honest, sentence i never had a judge assign based ongoing to a party. maybe if they were drinking, assign to drug abuse program, attending a party should have been a red flag to begin with.

irresponsible activity regarding use of drones. two people were arrested after drones were spotted flying close to logan international airport. the day before on friday evening, stewart international airport shut down their runway after faa notified them a drone was spotted in the area. most reported drone spotings are manned aircraft. but they have given resources to state police, dhs secretary alejandro mayorkas says they want congress to help address the issue. >> we are aware of the drone sightings, i think there are 8000 drones flown in the us everyday. we have certain agencies within

taken, you have mayorkas saying the border is secure, but so many people who are easy to get into the country, it does not look secure. drone wise. >> americans want border security, clearly, whether you are in new york city, in manhattan like we are, whether you are on in south texas, border security is a legitimate government objective, americans have a right to believe and expect most powerful nation on earth can secure its perimeter. i have said a million times and on this show that to secure our border, there is a lot we can do ourselves, a lot government of mexico can do to secure our southern border. this problem has to be addressed in central america, in venezuela, in honduras and elsewhere or they will keep

doing? >> steve: i'm doing okay. why did you want to go back and finish off college? >> well, you know, i started thinking am i a hypocrite. i've been very fortunate my wife and i that we have a foundation we give out scholarships an one of the largest scholarship providers in the u.s. am i a hypocrite? i decided to get my degree to let people know it's never too late if you want to finish that degree. >> steve: what is the degree in and what will you do when you grow up now? >> the degree is in housing management and policy. right now i think i have to go out and get a job. i wanted to finish and having an opportunity to be with a lot of the young people again. i get to see this generation is a little different than my generation but at the same time i said they are great kids. got a chance to go back on campus and it was wonderful.
