numbers and there really is a mandate. what sticks out to you based on some of these polling numbers? >> it is not just america is back to donald trump is back. he never got a point handyman heading into his 2,016th, his first term. he has won now. and i think that winning the popular vote has given americans world leaders business leaders the ability to embrace donald trump like he was embraced pre-president. when he was at home alone tonight, when he was on snl, when he was and magazines, oprah, when he was the status symbol of success for america when he was embraced and beloved by america, and he is returning to that. and are partially americans could of had to get hit in the face with failure to realize that they had a good thing going and had to happen in relationships. you've seen something in into a compact and this happened to americans. we get hit in the face with joe biden's failed to realize that we had a good thing going and if you think about it, japan was sort of this perfect trojan horse for the left. empty vessel to carry out this assault on america, this

left-wing assault on our values, on the border, diminishing our stance on the world stage. and so this victory for donald trump is not just in return for him and his status part of america, right? what remains to be america based american to be strong to, to be successful but i do believe that this golden age is ahead of us. >> yeah, so you look at this and obviously, the feeling is so different. but also the president is very different this time around. he does not feel as bombastic. he feels -- it feels when he is talking, yes, he is so funny. yes, there's still a size. yes, he still makes news for some of the impromptu comments. but it feels like there's something different. there's more gravity to him. what you -- what did you chalked it up to? i think trump is surprised by it. i keep seeing him say things like it is different now. he is actually he seemed surprised that he is getting good press for the first time in his life. i compare this, i like lisa's

analogy to a relationship. but also -- look at -- start the comeback. it would've been nice the first time around. >> i was thinking and i don't want to be histrionic about it but the fall of the berlin wall and i'm talking about that in an information cents. acrylic the people who don't like trump, you saw from the numbers. 39% of people who are angry. you're still angry. they're not positive. you know, this people were always that way. but there was this middle of the country and i think after the election, people looked around and said, oh my gosh, like, maybe they were lying to me the whole time. there was an information stronghold on this country. that is why i compare it to the iron curtain. and i feel like that his followers and like the fall of the berlin wall, there's that mall of america has kind of broken up and said, oh, my gosh, they've been going to be time. maybe this guy is not as bad as they said. they did not think he was back. he thought, they must have something on the guy, you know?

[chuckles] they've been going on about him for a decade. so the thing is i think that people in -- those people in the middle, people don't pay attention is much are saying, wow, america is back. baby. >> so, taking him to the network. the law for the network. and now people feel safer. >> and i think what we're seeing is the five shift. he is a little bit a gen z next slide. as to this particularly among my generation. actually where a unique, it may have push there may have been once a statement with a associated with from there even with supporting conservatives in general. and that doesn't exist anymore. and i think of my own. of evolution here. i did back trump in 2016. i had luckily voted for him in 2020 preferred preferred other

candidates in the gop primary. but the culmination of early the past year, seeing how that left so viciously went after him and really that culminating in the parlor pennsylvania assassination attempt. i realized that i would crawl over broken glass to work for the guy again. and you would not him to leave how many others who expressed a similar sentiment. and i think what happened is that the left finally pushed us to. >> emily: for. their greatest weapon has been the ability to shame people or to stigmatize people for supporting the republican party in general. he is a whistle. a whistle. he convicted felon. that does not work anymore. the culture has definitively changed. i think that really is going to be a part of trump's legacy. that the left hands had on the culture for the past decade. and i think that is why so many. are optimistic and hopeful for the future. now they have the freedom to actually say how they feel. >> all right, but he is only going to be president for four years. and do you see and other republican being able to keep this coalition together? it is obviously, you know big part of joe biden's and doing other than nancy's -- nancy

1900 hours in a year to achieve the average lifestyle. that is a lot of. you know, tom, i don't want to shock you here. but why has a democrat governor. are ready for, mallah. you know, they say you get what you pay for enough. don't you also get what you vote for as well? >> to and for some people i would guess it is worth it. you live in paradise. so maybe you are poor but you're out there in the beauty. myself, not live in hawaii. i would spend most of my income johnson street and widebrimmed hats. but he is, of course. and you see this all across these there's a lot of these blue states. you know? they have such an attitude but they also have a very high cost of living. and when you're out there in the heartland, the cost of living is much lower. per hour people where they talked about, you know, our country and the economic state it is in, they ignore the fact that we shared our economy down for two years and we spent, i mean, the idea that, unique inflation was just this, a phantom thing that happened, i mean, it was basically u.s. policy to create is inflation.

so, you know, that is, you know, that is something we should always mention. part yeah, i think that you know, we live in -- i live in new york, where it is media capital in the world. new york, love it. but the cost of living is high. i live, while in california. i mean, at some points, you know, the -- it which is a point of no return. and you know, now we deal with crime and everything else. but, you know, i like living in new york. so i'm going to stay here. >> you could move down to florida and join us there. we would love to have you there. kennedy, are being, to trump's point kupp, why it might have not voted for change. we are economy was the top issue. it still is the top issue for americans. our trip when he was campaign he promised this golden age for america, into what you take that looks like? and how does he get us there? >> i mean, à la. >> look at -- >> merry christmas eve. and that is what people one, ready for a golden age.

i'm ready for an era of lower taxation. i think we are overtaxed. we can't really show a return on our investment. the government has gotten too. and terra mar milliners in places like washington, dc where the entire industries have popped up around the government and clinic, they are nursing off of these subsidies and it is hurting other working-class people. but the one thing that pandemic has taught people is there is greater mobility and greater opportunity. so north dakota was the most affordable state in the country and doug burgum is like, absolutely. so people are fighting that if they go places, they might have a better quality of life and they are creating communities and nontraditional zones where they did not grow up. that are willing to welcome them. but not their lefty, loony california politics. >> to piggyback on what kennedy sank actually at her eye was number three on the list. and i found that very odd.

so i was looking into that, why is idaho so unaffordable right now? it is because of migration. people have been moving there because it just has a better way of life and, you know, there are a lot of positives, it answer the problem is overwhelming it is just unaffordable in our country. yes, look at the blue states and the property taxes. i live in new jersey in a property tax coming from ari arizona, like, you can't even compare. it is almost embarrassing. and anybody who is able to move out of these blue states during covid certainly did. unfortunately, when have a job that keeps you in one location and he can be remote full time, you know, you can do that. and so we are forced to pay these property taxes. overwhelming our country is unaffordable. the average american. >> and we see some of these fox polls on the bottom of your screen there, people at home, only 23% rate the economy excellent, good beginner, kaylee, the media tried to gaslight has this election cycle. so did the button campaign and the harris campaign. they tried to tell us, the economy is going to believe wht

you're saying. you know, when you go and pay for groceries, when you do this, that, and the other. americans that. right? they realized that everything was causing them more than it did under donald trump, gaslighting did not work. >> noah kahan people know better. and actually people in deep, urban areas specifically knew better. there's a reason why even big cities like new york or washington, dc shockingly actually moved to the right and for the support of tran10 he did back in 2016 and in 2020. and. and one of the things that i appreciated about trouble is that he has made it clear he is not willing to leave those urban areas behind. i think that everyone good thing comes out of this election, i hope it is a sort of revival in these areas like new york or in dc where residents feel responsible for their city and actually start to make a change. and i think trump's decision to even, you know, campaign in madison square garden or go to new jersey to go to virginia, signaled that he is not willing to give up on the citizens. so hopefully the citizens are not willing to give up on their cities either. >> and you have all these business leaders coalescing behind him as well. how do you think he uses that to

and spending time with people you don't actually agree on, especially politically. the solution for most, avoiding political discussions altogether. according to a new survey most americans agree that the holidays are a time to forget political differences. regardless if they are candidate or one. 71% say celebrating this year will be a welcome distraction from election stress. so i don't know. in my household, for the holidays, i will say that we support freedom of speech. but we also know how to adults and respect each other and respect different opinions. what about you? >> yacobozzi my family is not one to shy away from the political debates. i'm going to play out for that because he fancies himself a local sean hannity and then encourage his daughter to pursue a career yapping about politics. so now everyone gets to suffer as a result. >> must be proud. but yeah, exactly, exactly. >> know about history.

>> what one of the things that brings us together is a common foundation. we share the same values. we enjoy debating these things because we appreciate we teach and even if you're a family that was not necessary enjoy talking about politics, there's good news for you this year, you should be very thankful that kamala harris and tim walz did not win because they would have made politics an unavoidable part of your personal life. and we know this because of the policies that she supported. she supported forcing christians to subside abortions. she supported efforts to further central americans on my. she supported efforts that would have put the government in front in between parents and their children. so there's good news for all this holiday season. and i for one will be celebrating the fact that she lost. >> and not all discussions were there disagreements or even debates. you can have discussions, do you think that there is a special naughty list for people who bring a politics at the christmas table? >> no, because i would be on that list. i don't mind talking about politics. the thing is just be nice. everybody be nice. everybody in pete nance you can talk about politics. i'm not going i'm not going to stop. i'm not goi stop.

i'm a huge fan of talk about politics but i think there's so many other things you can talk about. family gatherings because you know, you are inviting people to play gotcha, which i don't like. and people want to come from a curious place and they really want to inquire, like, how did you land in your beliefs? i think that is fine. trying to change people's minds at christmas is exhausting. and, you know, i do agree, the race was demanding. we kind of don't have to talk about these things because, you know, finally for the rest of the quite a few election cycles, it feels like a few questions were settled. and i think it is time to move on to more important things like our -- our trip patrick taylor and t travis going to get grade? -- engage? >> part of it is people are optimistic. election is actually over. there's nothing else to debate. the republicans won, but we can move forward now and as we see everyone is optimistic and let's just all enjoyed whatever comes with the terms presidency? how close are you if you can talk about everything? with someone first and foremost? also, [indistinct] there is extend you the same race? absolutely not every family and know that is naught. but exactly because axios found that democrats are nearly five times more likely to exclude family over politics.
