things that robert f kennedy jr has talked about is maybe even making us like the rest of the world and not having television advertisements for pharma. really quickly here, max, do you think these are huge lobbies, massive lobbies, pharma food? is this doable? this make america healthy again movement? >> i think it is. i think step one would be getting the conflicts of interest out of the fda, for example, almost 50% of its budget comes from user fees from the pharmaceutical agency. a smaller proportion from the food industry. but yeah, i think that's a great place to start. and then just, you know, getting good information out to the american public, i think will be key. right, right. >> getting good information out on both subjects. that's part of the movement for robert f kennedy jr. all right, max, thanks so much for being with us tonight. all right. that's going to do it for us tonight. make sure you check out the will cain podcast every monday through thursday live at 12:00 eastern time at foxnews.com or fox news youtube. we'll see you again tomorrow night.
11:01 pm
>> welcome to this special edition of hannity. i'm gregg jarrett in for sean tonight. violent crime in new york city. chaos and carnage overseas. and an american president spending his last days on vacation in the virgin islands. we begin, though, with a more positive note. special christmas greeting from the president elect. yesterday, donald trump wished all americans a merry christmas. even the, quote, radical left lunatics who are constantly trying to obstruct our court system and our elections and are always going after the great citizens and patriots of the united states. of course, there were some exceptions. here's a quote for you to the 37 most violent criminals who killed, raped, and plundered like virtually no one else before them, but were just given, incredibly, a pardon by sleepy joe biden. i refuse to wish a merry christmas to those lucky souls,
11:02 pm
but instead i will say go to hell. well, for many americans, trump's open, authentic style of communications is really a breath of fresh air. but it's not just talk. trump won't officially be sworn in until next month, but already he's seeing results. for example, the state department's global engagement center, which led federal censorship efforts against conservatives. it's now set to close its doors forever, thankfully. and get this according to reuters, guatemala is now open to accepting all illegal immigrants deported by the incoming trump administration. well, needless to say, many on the left are not at all happy. so brace yourself for another round of pointless hysteria. today, the hill actually published an op ed titled congress has the power to block trump from taking office, but lawmakers
11:03 pm
must act now. in the meantime, cnn breathlessly issued this report, quote, oh, it's a scary time. u.s. universities urge international students return to campus before trump's inauguration. and then the l.a. times openly wondered, what will the military do if trump gives unconstitutional orders? well, some of the mainstream media are even upset that business leaders are donating to trump's inauguration, which, by the way, happens to be a very common practice every four years. the big question tonight, after trump's historic win, will america's left wing journalists ever see the writing on the wall? not likely. here. now with reaction, fox news contributor jason chaffetz, the host of outkick, tomi lahren. fearless. fearless is the name of it. and florida congressman byron
11:04 pm
daniels. congressman, let me begin with you. the go to hell remark is right on target. when you think about the people that biden commuted death penalty sentences. i mean, some of these people are ruthless, despicable, heinous child killers. you know, who abducted and raped and murdered in one case, they cut a little girl's throat because she had seen her mother's murder committed by the same man four days earlier. and yet, the families of these victims are outraged. they're angry about it. apparently, joe biden didn't even talk to them or consult them. what does it say about the outgoing president? >> well, first of all, i hope everybody had a great christmas. congratulations to sean hannity on the announcement of your engagement. congratulations to you and ainsley. look, i think what's happening with joe
11:05 pm
biden, nobody thinks he even knows about these clemencies or these pardons. this is the radical left staff that has been running this administration for the last four years. and so i agree with president trump in what he said about these 37 individuals who have been granted clemency. this is outrageous. they should not have a merry christmas to be to be perfectly blunt with you. but this is because we have the radical left doing all the things they've been wanting to do for a very long time on their way out the door, while joe biden is at the beach or taking a nap or whatever it is he's that he's doing. do you think he had any idea what a country that doesn't have a president right now? >> do you think he had any idea what he was doing? say that again, greg. do you think he knew what he was signing, what he was doing? >> no, i don't. >> you know, tommy, the state department is now shut down. this hideous center called the global engagement center. what it really was was a bureau that
11:06 pm
was blacklisting conservatives, suppressing their speech. does this, do you think, mark, a new era of free speech protections under donald trump? >> i think donald trump's going to do whatever he can to protect free speech. and i know that that's something that's very important to him, as it is for all true republicans and conservatives and patriots in this country. hopefully on the left and the right. but i'll tell you this, as someone who is personally censored during the pandemic by the white house, by the biden white house, directing social media companies to personally censor me and to monkey with the algorithm so that my content was demoted or not seen by my followers. this is really near and dear to my heart, and i think anytime a government official, at least in this current administration, tells you something is misinformation or disinformation or a cheap fake or a deep fake, well, i think we know all about that at this point. and anytime they tell you something is likely a conspiracy theory, you might want to check into that as well, because it seems like all
11:07 pm
of those things keep coming true. it's a great victory. we're wasting millions of dollars on that worthless agency, as we are wasting on many other worthless agencies. we can't wait for january 20th. we can't wait for doge, and we can't wait for the american people to once again come first in our own country. a radical concept that the leftist leftist activist journalists don't seem to like. but it's coming and it's coming quickly, and donald trump will be unstoppable. >> you know, jason, guatemala, i think, caught a lot of people by surprise, saying, oh, we'll accept the people that you deport is donald trump before he's even been sworn in, having a fairly dramatic effect on illegal immigration. oh, from the moment he was elected, he's done more to secure our border and take care of the united states on all fronts. >> i mean, yeah, guatemala. >> he put mexico on notice. >> the flow started, slowed down there. >> justin trudeau up in up in canada came running to mar a
11:08 pm
lago pleading, hoping that he could have a moment of the president's time. >> i think he's put china on notice as it relates to the panama canal. >> he's demanded that our hostages be released by hamas, promising, you know, all kinds of chaos that go on in the middle east if those hostages are not returned. >> he's put iran on notice. he wants to talk to north korea. he wants to talk to the russians. i mean, this is what an active president should be doing. and but it's so oblivious to the, you know, to the biden and harris administration, they're just left. remember, they promised us, they told us that the middle east was the calmest it had ever been, only to have the october massacre happen just literally like two weeks later. so again, donald trump can't be in office soon enough. >> you know, congressman, i was really taken aback by this column in the hill which said that democrats, you know, sort
11:09 pm
of can and should disqualify trump as an insurrectionist under the meaning of the constitution. it's utterly absurd, quite frankly. and i know a thing or two as a lawyer about the constitution. are you hearing anything on the other side of the aisle about this? and, you know, maybe from people like jamie raskin, who i recall in 2017 challenged trump's electors and tried to install hillary clinton as president. >> i mean, no, we've not heard much from the democrats. they're too busy licking their wounds and trying to figure out which way they need to conduct their party. but look, are they happy about the fact that kamala harris was blown out? no they're not. but is anybody thinking that they're going to do anything about it? no they're not. donald trump's going to be the president of the united states. he's going to get these election certified on january 6th. he's going to get inaugurated on january 20th. the democrats aren't going to like it, but those are
11:10 pm
the breaks, because they had an opportunity to run this country. and what they did was they ran it into the ground, massively open borders, foreign policy. that's a mess. massive inflation, censoring the american people. the list goes on and on. the american people rejected what the radical left was doing and gave donald trump a political mandate. so whether it's jamie raskin or any of the democrats that are going to be upset on january 6th, you only have yourself to blame. you did a terrible job. the american people wanted change, and change is coming in the form of donald trump. >> you know, the hysteria, tomi over trump's victory is not limited to msnbc and cnn. now, colleges and universities are telling their international students, oh, you've got to come back here before trump issues a travel ban, ignoring the fact, of course, that he has said no such thing, that these are people with visas to be here, and that trump has
11:11 pm
actually gone so far as to say, if you graduate from college, i'm going to make sure you get green cards so you can stay here and work. what do you make of this? >> yeah, donald trump wants the best and the brightest to remain in this country. i don't think he has much love for those who are chanting anti-semitic and anti-israel remarks on college campuses. those individuals might have to worry about their status if they're not, in fact, a u.s. citizen. but i'll also say this i think a lot of this hysteria exists, of course, in washington, d.c. it exists in liberal media, msnbc, cnn, maybe the washington post, la times, and it exists on academic institutions. but i think everywhere else, even democrats have accepted the fact that donald trump is the president going to be the president again, they've accepted the fact that they lost. they've accepted the fact that the party has gone way too far to the left. and i think actually the everyday democrats in the streets and our many cities and towns, i think that they're actually excited about donald trump. i think all that hysteria has melted away, and they want to see what this man
11:12 pm
can do. they might not openly admit it, but i think that they are excited as well. it's a major vibe shift from 2017 2020. this is a new era and i think everyone should be joyful. >> jason, i had to laugh. and you probably do too. when you saw the la times article about, you know, what will the military do if trump issues unconstitutional orders? is this the usual irrational fear and loathing, or trump derangement syndrome 2.0? >> yeah, it totally is. trump derangement syndrome is it's full and alive and well. there are people that just cannot figure out the president of the united states. you know, two thirds of the country knew that we were off track. they said they wanted to change and they could never figure that out. and the democrats threw all these issues. everything we've been talking about tonight, they're void of ideas. not only do they not. they're rudderless and they don't have a leader, but they don't have any ideas that are popular with the american people. so what's their what are they going to
11:13 pm
do? do what they always do. just jump at the boogeyman. they're always scared. oh, what if the trump does this? what if trump does that? he lives rent free in their brains. and it's the funniest thing to watch because they just i just they just can't figure it out. and you know, donald trump loves america. he wants to make america great again. he wants to enforce the law, you know, radical things like that. >> yeah. democrats want to make america terrible again. like the last four years. byron daniels, many thanks, tomi lahren. thank you, jason chaffetz, my old pal. appreciate your being here. all of you. happy new year. coming up, donald trump is set to inherit biden's foreign policy disasters with a capital d plus, critics blast the daniel pennie effect after a recent string of heinous crimes. that and more next on this special edition of hannity.

11:20 pm
surface to air missile off the coast of denmark. european officials believe a chinese vessel deliberately dragged its anchor along the sea floor for over 100 miles and severing critical underwater communication cables, all an alleged act of sabotage. many believe it was coordinated by russia. this, as russia and iran are about to make their alliance quite official, with a plan to sign a formal strategic partnership agreement before donald trump's inauguration next month. and despite everything you just heard, joe biden is doing nothing to protect america's interests. instead, yes, he's on yet another vacation, this time to the u.s. virgin islands. here now with reaction. former massachusetts senator scott brown. senator, thanks for being with us. so as the world further degrades with one
11:21 pm
crisis after another, joe biden jets off to another luxury vacation. is this the most idle absentee president in modern american history? >> well, first of all, greg, it's great to see you and happy new year to everybody. >> i hope everyone had a great christmas. >> yeah, of course it is. but it's no surprise. here's my post-christmas wish is that he leaves all the pens and all the phones and every communication device at home, so he can't do more cash for kids, judges, you know, being pardoned or other types of things that are going to affect president trump's incoming opportunities, whether it's dealing with the illegals and giving them additional privileges and rights that they're not entitled to, whether it's doing things like this, which is the inaction that we've seen, it's no surprise. >> it's a little bit scary. but, you know, i'm counting down the days like everybody else. just leave the pens at home so he can't sign anything else, please. >> you know, i looked this up
11:22 pm
today. 40% of joe biden's presidency has been spent on vacation. that is roughly 550 days. now, if you do a little math, it would take the average american 48 years to rack up that many vacation days. as you sort of look back on the last four years, is it a little bit frightening that we had a president who mentally and physically wasn't even there? >> yeah. well, listen, i've said he's been on vacation for more than four years. i noted when he first got elected that he was in diminished capacity. and we should all be very concerned. and our foes see it china, russia, iran, north korea, they all see it. that's why you're seeing a lot of the unrest. you see, obviously, as you referenced in your opening, you know, a chinese ship dragging their anchor to create havoc with cables. certainly.
11:23 pm
what's happening with china and taiwan, what's happening in ukraine when biden really didn't do what he needed to do with regard to russia, kind of gave him a green light. just a little incursion would be okay. and those types of things would never happen under president trump and did not happen under president trump. and the middle east was quiet. the relationship with china in north korea was the best it's ever been, and we need to get back to that time. and that's what people are hoping for. >> yeah. when trump left office, there were no major wars. foreign policy was handled, i think, pretty well. biden takes office. he orders immediately the disastrous withdrawal in afghanistan and his perceived weakness then, i think, triggered international strife and wars. russia, iran, hamas, hezbollah, they were all emboldened. so is donald trump now inheriting a foreign policy mess?
11:24 pm
>> well, first, first of all, when president trump was in charge, when i was his ambassador to new zealand and samoa, he had one arm tied behind his back. he got barely half of his appointees approved. well, now he has the opportunity. that's why he's jumping right out of the gate making these great appointments. and of course, biden's doing everything he can to muck it up. he's doing it with the illegals that are here. he's trying to give them additional benefits and rights and privileges that they're not entitled to. you see what's happening with iran and russia? they've had a relationship, certainly, but now it's even stronger. but the good news is, is that they're both weakened through sanctions. and obviously, what israel has done to basically eliminate iran's satellite terrorist groups when they try to export the terrorism around the region in the world. so while they're doing nothing officially, it's been like that for quite a few years, especially during this administration. they share technology, us secrets, they give weapons. iran gives weapons systems to iran, and russia gives cover to them. so
11:25 pm
it's been a relationship. i'm concerned about the russia, china, north korea, iran, the kind of axis of new evil people that don't want the united states and western countries, western hemisphere countries to survive. >> scott brown, many thanks for being with us. happy new year to you and your family. appreciate you being with us. turning now to new york city, where a new phenomenon called the daniel pennie effect seems to be taking root. sadly, recently, the city experienced two gruesome subway crimes the burning of a woman alive in a train at coney island, and the slashing of two innocent random people at grand central station. videos show that multiple bystanders did absolutely nothing to help in either case. this after state officials tried to throw former marine daniel pennie in prison for years after he restrained a violent passenger on the subway. and while new york's
11:26 pm
policies are having a chilling effect on good samaritans out in california, well, residents there are apparently still getting used to a recent policy change. turns out, stealing things from stores in california is illegal again, but some repeat offenders missed the message. take a look. >> it's a felony. >> new laws. >> stealing is a felony. >> and this is orange county. they don't play. >> that's why i went to jail last year and had to. and got on probation for a year for stealing out of target. >> you got to love the expression on her face. the change is the result of passage of prop 36 by california voters, an effort that governor gavin newsom opposed vigorously. here. now with more is fox news contributor tammy bruce and trump economic adviser steve moore. welcome to you both. tammy, you know,
11:27 pm
these attacks in new york have one common denominator. people stood around and watched and they didn't do anything about it. they didn't help. they didn't do what daniel penney would have done. and i predicted this would happen. i wrote a column the day the penney verdict came in of not guilty. and here's what i wrote. we'll put it up on the screen knowing that an elected district attorney is eager to prosecute, well-meaning samaritans will likely deter them from defending others who are preyed upon. the weak and the vulnerable among us may become easier targets. that is the tragic epitaph of the daniel penney trial. isn't this the obvious result that people are afraid to intervene? >> yes, and it's also part of what is also going on in california and elsewhere in the defund the police movement. this ridiculous dynamic where they made stealing originally a
11:28 pm
misdemeanor, essentially encouraging it. you know, we are a society that looks to our laws for an indicator of what's appropriate. and this it shows you the power of one action of the government when it comes to policy on the citizenry. so this is why policy matters. every single statement matters. and for new york, you know, yes, the daniel pennie trial. and people are saying, oh, well, he was found not guilty. he had a gofundme that got $3 million. the thing that is keeping people from acting is the fact that nobody it's impossible to withstand the machine when it's facing you. right? we saw it with with trump. thank god he could overcome it. but that's the symbolism. if they can do it to trump, if they can do it to daniel penney, they'll do it to you. and if you're a dad or a mom and you're trying to raise two kids who can lose their job, they have to raise bail
11:29 pm
because you were a good samaritan. and then for those who are doing, you know, looting or robbery or stealing in stores in california, we know that it would be certainly a message that this is a bad idea if there's real punishment and we have the opposite going on in each case, which creates the chaos that we're seeing now. >> you know, steve, setting this woman ablaze, killing her. and the illegal immigrant is just sitting there watching it and apparently enjoying it was particularly heinous. but, you know, you just add it to the long list. i mean, it's almost every day or every week we hear again reporting about illegals committing these terrible crimes. wasn't this the inevitable result from a clueless liberal president who doesn't give a damn about innocent citizens who are being
11:30 pm
victimized? >> well, greg, a couple of quick points on this. number one, i'm very pro-immigrant, but one of the lessons of the last four years is we have to let we have to make sure immigrants are coming into the country legally, and we're vetting them. and we are keeping criminals and drug dealers out of our country. and that did not happen under joe biden. it's one of the things that led to these kind of heinous crimes. but look, i'd make another point. i'm an economist and i'm looking at what's happening, greg, to our great cities. i'm in chicago right now. i love chicago, new york. look what's happened in los angeles. san francisco has become unlivable. this is what happens when you get progressive leadership that basically does not prosecute crime or else prosecutes the wrong people, where taxes are too high, where citizens don't feel safe, and it's destroying our great cities. and that is heartbreaking because i think, you know, our cities are we have some of the greatest cities in the world, but people are leaving en masse because
11:31 pm
they don't feel safe. >> yeah. tammy out in california and you touched on this, but i want to hit it again. the criminals who finally realized, oh, gee, they changed the law. now we're committing serious crimes. the, the when the state decriminalized theft several years ago, the those crimes jumped 93%. why is it that progressives, you know, kind of have to learn the hard way? >> well, you know, part of this argument has been that this is reparations, that this is a redistribution of wealth. they don't say that directly, but some were openly saying that this is, you know, this is payback. the black lives matter leadership was that this that the money they were getting was white guilt money. so this is a kind of a sick point of view that society deserves to be
11:32 pm
harmed and looted and damaged, and arson is okay. and stealing from the stores is okay. it is a kind of craven point of view regarding society and it and it thrives on like the left does victimhood right level of victimhood that is kind of chronic. >> yeah. >> that it's a chronic dynamic when we're dealing with the nature of how the regular law abiding citizen feels. >> steve. so, greg, you know, as an economist, you mentioned the cost of this, which is just so unsustainable. according to the house budget committee, the cost of biden's border crisis, funding all of the illegals here is 150 billion and counting. that's taxpayer money, steve. >> right. and it's a lot of illegals coming in and going on government services and that is costing. that's why there was such a backlash on the border. but i wanted to add something to what tammy was saying
11:33 pm
because it's very important. i think the three of us lived through america's mayor, rudy giuliani, and we saw what happened with you could see week after week after week that he was mayor through his tough on crime policies, lower taxes. he rebuilt and remade new york and new york, was revived in an amazing way. and what's so sad, greg and tammy is now they're back to the same kind of policies that ruined new york and bankrupted new york in the first place. they will never learn. >> yeah. steve moore, tammy bruce, great points. thank you for being with us. we are less than a month away from donald trump taking control of the nation's immigration policy. some democrats are doing everything they can to stand in his way. in oregon, the attorney general put together a document explaining the state's sanctuary policies, telling residents to, quote, make a plan for what to do if immigration officials come to your home or a place of business. let me give you a
11:34 pm
tip. just cooperate. in california, governor gavin newsom's office is putting together plans for a, quote, immigrant support network to actively fight back against deportations. so what can be done about these liberal leaders trying to stop the will of the people from being enacted? well, as i argue in my latest foxnews.com column, there needs to be consequences, including criminal indictments and prosecutions of sanctuary officials if necessary. here now with more is former acting dhs secretary chad wolf. chad, if withholding federal money and there's a statute that allows the feds to do that, if state and city and county officials are not cooperating with ice, you can withhold millions, tens of millions of dollars, which would bankrupt some cities and states. if that
11:35 pm
doesn't work, would you agree that the department of justice, incoming under president trump, should actively prosecute as the law allows these sanctuary officials? >> i do, i think you have to have all the options on the table. and i would just, you know, say that when you start to look at federal funding for a lot of these cities and states and localities, it's big money. it's what drives their budget and allows them to provide the services that they do. and so if the trump administration wants to get serious and start pulling that funding, and if there are limitations, obviously they'll have a republican congress that can change the laws that allow that, because we continue to fund a lot of these blue cities that just turn around and thumb their nose at ice. and federal law enforcement officials trying to protect their their cities and their states. that's what it is. but look, if you can't pull the federal funding, i think you can. i do think you need to go after some of these
11:36 pm
officials because they are they are blocking federal law enforcement from doing their job. sanctuary jurisdictions are a thing of the past. and i think it's going to be president trump during his next four years that that are going to solve this issue. >> you know, what i don't get is how these mayors and governors and we're talking about, you know, the governor of illinois, the governor of california, mayor of denver, mayor of chicago. i mean, they're all threatening to actively interfere. we're going to put a force together to stop trump's deportation squad from deporting the illegals. these are my people. i'm going to protect them. the point i'm trying to make is, and i wrote this in the column. so let me quote it. if sanctuary officials are not compelled to cooperate by an immense loss of federal funds, trump's incoming department of justice should bring criminal actions against mayors and governors determined to defy federal law. take a
11:37 pm
look at eight u.s.c. 1324. it is a felony to harbor, shield, or conceal an illegal immigrant. do these people just think they're above the law? wasn't it democrats, chad, who told us for the last four years nobody's above the law? >> well that's right. look, they're delusional at the end of the day because what they're doing is they are protecting, again, criminal, illegal aliens in their communities. they're making their communities less safe, and they're doing it for political reasons. that's the only reason that they're doing it. it's not actually to protect their communities. so again, i agree with you. i think the president, president trump's new incoming administration, department of justice, department of homeland security and others really need to go aggressively at these jurisdictions. they're there continue to be far fewer of them. but in the major cities, they are still there. and look, if they're going to have those policies, you've heard tom

homan, you've heard others, they're going to continue to enforce immigration law. they're still going to go into these communities and remove criminal aliens. it would just be a lot better. and we'd be a lot more effective if they had local law enforcement support to do so. >> you know, when i listen to some of these pundits and even television hosts on other channels who say, oh, you can't use the military to go into a state and do that, which state officials don't want them to do. that's utter nonsense. in 1957, president eisenhower used the military to enforce federal law. six years later, president kennedy did the same thing. and if they don't think that people were threatened with arrest, including governor wallace and also the mississippi governor next door, they're fundamentally wrong. you know, deportation is an exclusive federal power, isn't it? >> well, it is, and i agree with you. i think there are
11:39 pm
ways that allow federal officials, and you can be supplemented by other federal law enforcement or even the military to go in and do this. and look, what the left will try to tell you is, no, you can't do that. you can't send national guard or active duty troops in there that's so far out of the field of normal. you know there will be hell to pay. and that's simply not the case. what's outside of the field of normal are these sanctuary jurisdictions are local political figures trying to shield criminal aliens in their communities. and that's what needs to go. and again, i think the president trump's incoming team is going to have a pretty good plan to deal with that. >> yeah. don't they look at the poll numbers? i mean, the polls consistently show that americans are actually in favor of deportation, especially those numbers rise every day, every week. we're reporting about these heinous, terrible crimes committed by illegals, the latest of which in new york, we were talking about a moment ago, a woman set on fire, murdered, apparently to
11:40 pm
the delight of the illegal, who just sat there and watched. there he is. don't they look at these polls? i mean, even in california, governor newsom is clinging to his sanctuary status, notwithstanding the fact that it costs him $22 billion a year to feed and house illegal migrants in his state. and no wonder he's got a projected budget deficit of $58 billion. but don't these guys take the temperature of the electorate? >> well, they certainly should. and i think they saw that during the last, you know, on november 5th, with president trump overwhelmingly supported by those that wanted to secure the border, wanted to remove illegal aliens and the like. look, a lot of these folks will will try to come to the point of saying, well, we agree we should remove criminal aliens, but now what they are talking about, jared, is the price tag is too high to do this mass
11:41 pm
deportation. but as your earlier guest said, i mean, it's the billions of dollars over the last four years that we have had to fund this influx of aliens, illegal aliens into our communities. so it's time to get back to national security. it's back to time to get back to public safety, secure the border and remove these illegal aliens from the country. >> i think it's going to happen. chad wolf, many thanks for being with us. happy new year to you. coming up, the democrats continue to spiral after kamala's crushing defeat. we'll explain. we'll get reaction from doug schoen and david webb next on this special edition of hannity. >> oh 64 oops. b1 yes, yes, yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. >> bingo. i want what they're having for that kind of

11:48 pm
nothing against congressman connolly at all. this felt like an obvious chance to apply some of the lessons we should have learned from the november election, right? instead, democrats passed over one of the youngest, most media savvy members of congress for a key leadership public role. >> she's media savvy. she gives makeup tips, tips on, you know, social media. the democratic party is struggling to win back every day americans. but instead of reckoning with their failed policies and out of touch messaging, what do they do? they continue to point fingers with one outlet claiming that trump voters are addicted to conspiracy theories. while harris voters got the, quote, real news from establishment media outlets. as the left makes excuses, the gop is gaining ground, with some claiming that trump's historic numbers among latino voters could eventually make

california a battleground state. here now, with reaction, pollster doug schoen and fox news contributor david webb. good to see you both. thank you. doug, voters rejected what democrats were offering far left liberal policies, the woke agenda. that's what aoc represents. so isn't jen psaki wrong? she's trying to double down on that which failed. >> greg, you couldn't be more correct. aoc is far left. if you remember the primary results. two members of her squad, if i recollect correctly, lost primaries. frankly, the democratic party needs to move to the center, not the far left. they need to have policies on inflation, as you were suggesting on immigration. they don't have to be trump policies, but they have to be responsive, as you were indicating to what the polling shows right now, i
11:50 pm
think my party is out of step, which ultimately hurts our chance of coming back into power anywhere and make states like california competitive. i'm worried sick for my party for reasons that you so eloquently suggest. >> you know, david, democratic strategist liz smith, highly respected, said her party brand is in the toilet. democrats who do the best in the election ran against the democrat party brand. how is it possible that democrats so alienated the working class voters, which are a majority of the electorate? how could they have done that? >> well, i mean, it's really simple. democrats lied, ran as more conservatives, but then they go to congress and they vote for the biden-harris agenda. i mean, think about it.
11:51 pm
what liz smith is essentially saying is when we lie, we win, and then we move away from americans. this is the same kind of thinking, like jen psaki when it comes to aoc. she wanted to be the head of the oversight committee. she doesn't even have oversight of her district. she's not that smart. absent congresswoman, her district is going to hell. a district that i know well. you look at astoria, you look at other areas in the district. and the fact is, she's more of a pop culture princess than she ever will be a representative in congress. so for years, democrats have fooled americans. but what didn't fool americans were their reality. the fact that prices are too high, inflation is out of control. safety and security are being tossed aside to promote criminals. look at biden's pardons and commutations. look at the horrific things that that that administration and whoever is really running it have done to
11:52 pm
the american people. >> you know, doug, these liberal intellectuals are offering up vacuous excuses. trump won because of sexism. he won because of racism. my favorite is trump. voters are addicted to conspiracy theories on social media. and that's why he won. why not just admit it? you know, democrats blew it. >> i'm happy to admit it, because inflation, the cost of living, illegal immigration. and as david was suggesting, crime in our cities are really out of control. this was a reaction against the biden-harris policies. we have to face facts. i was and am a clinton democrat, a bill clinton democrat. we govern from the center. center left in 2001 with a surplus. last time we had that. those are the kind of policies the american people want and arguably deserve. and
11:53 pm
as a mainstream democrat, that's the only way we're going to get back into power, not with far left liberals like aoc and jen psaki, who are trying to frankly change history and rewrite the past. >> david, kamala harris ran a lousy campaign. everybody knows that she was. she proved to be a pretty bad candidate, refusing to say that she'd change anything that joe biden had done when she said that, you know, i said, campaign is over. then she picked what the daily caller calls marxist mr. magoo as her running mate, which fits tim walz to a t. so, you know, sort of at every turn, even though what does she have $2.5 billion to spend? she lost. isn't that really the
11:54 pm
reason bad policies, bad candidates? >> well, they didn't just lose, they were rejected. the american people took a look at the things that doug and i and you were talking about and said, the democrat party is nowhere near that solution. and the fact that she wasted $2.5 billion in roughly 107 days to come out in debt to fire their staff without any notice, shows that they don't even care about anything but their own aggrandizement. her friends got paid off. al sharpton, national action network half $1 million. roland martin 350,000. harpo productions air quotes around that. aka oprah. beyonce to show up probably about 15 minutes from her home. not perform. nothing about them was real. it was all for show. >> they will teach political science classes on how not to run a campaign. david, doug,
