1:01 am
>> i'm jason chaffetz, and this is a special edition of the ingraham angle. we're all familiar with the democrats resistance movement after the 2016 election, organizing marches, wailing about the end of democracy, and pledging early and often to impeach trump. but now they're taking a different approach. the resistance is going underground. biden and his pals are working overtime behind the scenes to trump proof the presidency. >> what he's trying to do is trying to corner donald trump and sort of box him in so he can do, i think the biden administration and the president is trying to prevent donald trump from doing as much damage as he possibly can, could do, which he could do a lot of becoming president. i think joe biden is trying to box donald trump in as much as he can. it's limited, but i think that's what his goal is. >> we saw evidence of this soon after the election. >> biden's senior climate official, john podesta, pledged
1:02 am
to keep the spigot open and flood our economy with more spending on climate boondoggles. >> my team back in washington is hard at work, ensuring that we solidify the investments that is likely to be one of the best protections for the economic incentives that were included in the inflation reduction act. >> this is all designed to keep these climate schemes embedded in government for as long as possible. the same with ukraine. biden is rushing to get aid out the door before trump cuts them off. the administration just announced another $1.25 billion for ukraine, and senate minority leader chuck schumer has his own plan to stop trump, pack and use the courts.
1:03 am
>> he really does believe that the judiciary they kind of helped to mold and create. he talked about a fourth of the judges on the bench will be joe biden judges, which is quite a few people that that will be kind of the tip of the spear of the resistance against donald trump for democrats, thanks to schumer's last minute shenanigans, biden has appointed more federal judges than any single term president since jimmy carter. >> the democrats goal prevent trump from repealing biden's disastrous policies and enacting an agenda that voters actually want. >> in chuck schumer's eyes. and i think a lot of democrats eyes, they won't have a lot of power. a lot of their fight will be rhetorical. and so the judiciary and the people that are already in place or will be in place very soon are the folks who can defend and not just the legislative accomplishments of the biden administration, but also protect the other things, like the myriad of other things that democrats have been saying they
1:04 am
want to protect for years now. >> and if that doesn't work, democrats will cobble together their coalition to block any legislation that could benefit the american people. >> i keep jeffrey's ability to create problems for the trump agenda by keeping the democratic caucus unified and trying to peel off a few republican votes. you know, may may say a lot about how much of this trump agenda actually gets done. the senate, of course, there are more than enough senate democrats to use the filibuster to block legislation. >> once again, the so-called defenders of democracy are exposed as frauds. the american people resoundingly rejected the biden schumer agenda. but rather than work with trump to enact common sense legislation that will restore america's greatness, the democrats are still falling back on their old, tired playbook. resist. joining me now, florida congresswoman anna paulina
1:05 am
luna. congresswoman, i want to start with this because, you know, we had horrific hurricanes, natural disasters in hawaii. you had, you know, the people of lahaina. you still feel for them. you saw what happened with the devastation with the hurricanes. but now they announced they're spending another $1.25 billion and sending it to ukraine. what are your thoughts? >> you know, jason, it just goes to show how tone deaf this administration is. you know, i was one of the impacted communities here in pinellas county. we had 13 people die. and when the american people and when pinellas county residents found out that our own fema dollars weren't just going, you know, to illegal immigrants, but then they're finding out that this administration wanted to even just recently pass in the cr funding to go to egypt, to ukraine and every other country but america. i just think that it goes to show that they aren't in touch, they aren't working on behalf of the american people. and frankly, jason, it's insulting as an american that we pay so much in taxes and this is what they're choosing to do with it.
1:06 am
>> congresswoman sam stein of the bulwark had a theory about biden's last moves on the ukraine russia conflict. have a look at this. i want to get your reaction. >> the outgoing biden administration pumping weapons into ukraine and also weighing the possibility of additional energy sanctions to weaken russia even further. trump could undo all this, of course, but that would be a fairly politically precarious step to take right out of the gate. >> what are your thoughts on what he just said there? >> you know, i will say first and foremost, and you would know this of all people being on oversight, that we actually saw direct evidence that the biden family was actually profiteering from ukraine, money going into their bank accounts. and then you see what they're doing on their last ditch effort on the way out. the fact is, is that for months, we've been hearing from our friends in the senate that the biden administration was trying to run the traps to prevent president trump from having an aggressive foreign policy that would pursue, pursue peace, especially in that region. but again, i think
1:07 am
that one of the things that the american people have to remember is even though there are going to be obstructionist bureaucrats in washington, that president trump in this incoming administration is absolutely going to be the correct people ahead of these departments to flush out all of the people that would be obstructionist. and frankly, if they don't want to play ball, they're fired. >> yeah, the oversight of that is going to be massive and it needs to be across the board. now, politico did a recent analysis of biden's biggest expenditures and found that congress provided get this $1.1 trillion, $1.1 trillion for biden's biggest climate, clean energy and infrastructure programs, more than half of that spending, at least 561 billion, has yet to been obligated to be obligated and not yet available for agencies to spend. this seems like a huge opportunity to claw back literally hundreds of billions of dollars. >> yes, and it's an opportunity
1:08 am
that congress needs to take, especially being that we have not just the house, but the senate and now the white house. you know, there's something that we have in our legislative toolkit called rescissions, where we can do that, but also to, you know, one of the first big tests, jason, for the republican majority is going to be during first reconciliation and talking about what we can save in regards to money for the american people. this would be at the top of my list. i know that speaker johnson is probably going to have it at the top of his as well, and i just wanted to show the american people that we have a very big test ahead of us, right. we want to ensure that president trump has a clear runway as soon as he gets into office. and so that's going to be really key in bringing back money. saving it for the american people and then also correcting the mistakes of past congresses. >> yeah. no kidding congresswoman. happy new year. thanks for joining us tonight on the ingraham angle. all right. the biden brigade can resist all they want, but there's no stopping the trump train. the world is already bending to his will. canada wants to avoid becoming the 51st state, sending two top
1:09 am
ministers to mar-a-lago today to meet with trump and border czar tom homan. our neighbor to the south is getting in on the action, too, as mexico's new president started cracking down on, you know, those people trying to get in illegally to the united states with the cartels and bringing up their fentanyl. the country also says it plans to open 25 shelters to house 12,000 mexican migrants deported from the united states to mexico. heck, trump's even convinced guatemala to do the same and take in deported illegals instead of sending caravans our way. and it's not just immigration. the economy is set to take off as financial leaders like morgan stanley ceo rave that they're optimistic about the next year under donald trump. joining me now is alex marlow, breitbart editor in chief, and terry schilling, president of the american principles project. all right, alex, i want to start with you.
1:10 am
he he's heading into his second term, but boy, he's gotten more done since the election than just about anybody you could possibly imagine. it's not even january yet. and the president is making things happen around the globe. >> yeah, i was thinking about this list. >> it might be ten items long. >> we're talking about nato allies talking about paying their fair share. finally, we're talking about leaders in the middle east and in eastern europe, talking about trying to aid president trump's agenda in terms of making sure there's no christian genocides in the middle east, no persecution of children in christians in the middle east. we're seeing mexico open up an emergency legal program to prepare for all the deportations that are happening. the canadians going down to mar a lago to kiss the ring because hopefully, maybe trump won't impose some tariffs on them. i mean, it's very cool. the whole world is prepared for a made in america world where people are going to be buying goods from us, not the other way around. we're going to totally reverse that part of our economy under trump. and it's hard not to feel the momentum despite all
1:11 am
the bad stuff biden is up to. which we could get into that, too. >> terry, as you know, trump, he's spoken about annexing canada. he's really trolling them, making it a 51st state. here's what kevin o'leary, you know him from shark tank. who he is canadian. here's what he said. have a look. and then i want to get your comment. >> what this could be is the beginning of an economic union. think about the power of combining the two economies, erasing the border between canada and the united states, and putting all that resource up to the northern borders where china and russia are knocking on the door. i like this idea, and at least half of canadians are interested. >> so kevin said he also he's also headed down to mar a lago to start the narrative. but terry, what do you make of the optimism on this front? >> well, look, i think that it all comes down to one word that summarizes the results of this last election, which is vindication, right? >> donald trump was so vindicated after everything
1:12 am
that the left threw at him across the board. >> right. >> they tried to bankrupt him. >> they tried to throw him in jail. >> they tried to ruin his reputation. >> and at the end of the day, the jury came out and ruled him the next president of the united states. >> and that was the american people. >> it's amazing how big of an effect one election can have. >> and that's what we're seeing. >> and listen, jason, we're not just seeing this with canada being talked about as being the 51st state in the country. >> we're seeing tim cook, big tech companies. >> big bill gates is looking at going down to mar a lago. >> joe and mika, joe and mika had to go down and grovel before president trump. and it's because everything that they tried the first go around didn't work, and it's not going to work. the second time they try it. >> yeah. so the gallup released a new survey that 51% of americans, they approve of trump's handling of the transition. look, two thirds of the country thought we were off track. and now they're looking at this transition. and alex trump's 2016 was featured far
1:13 am
more run of the mill cabinet picks. do you think there's a difference this time around? i mean, his cabinet picks this time compared to last time. they're really exciting people. >> people like honesty and authenticity. it's promises made, promises kept. donald trump is appointing the exact people he promised us he would appoint. he's talking about the exact issues he talked about. he wants to bring russia and ukraine together, get a peace going. he wants to tap our energy sector. he wants to crack down on immigration, legal immigration crackdowns, even not just illegal. he wants to put mexico and canada on notice. all the stuff he talked about on the campaign trail. plus, he's having a blast. the trump dance that everyone's doing. you can't get enough of this stuff. he is being himself fully realized. that's what we voted for. and he's going to win more people over if he sticks with that. >> you know, terry, i really do feel like there's a surge of patriotism that i haven't felt in this country in a long time, and it's contagious. and donald trump exemplifies that. he personifies it. he loves the flag. he loves the country. he
1:14 am
loves the people of this country. and yet there's been such a void out there. he's really filled that void. do you feel that same sort of patriotism that i'm feeling? >> no, no, i completely agree with you. and in fact, i've been saying for a while that i think that the biggest crime of all of the progressive legacy media outlets out there, like msnbc and cnn, the biggest crime that they perpetrated was not them attacking trump or ruining his reputation, but it was depriving the american people of a president that they should love and revere just as much as ronald reagan or fdr or lincoln. this guy is an absolute legend. he really does love this country. and here's where it gets really exciting, jason, is that president trump is going to be and i'm going to screw this up. sometimes i get it right. he's going to be in charge of the semiquincentennial celebration of america, the 250th anniversary. and that is going to be a great opportunity to really articulate what it means to be an american, and why we're so proud and why we love this country so darn much, and why he got elected. he's the perfect guy to be at the helm for this a major celebration.
1:15 am
>> yeah, that anniversary happening under donald trump, president donald trump's watch is going to be a good one. alex and terry, happy new year. thanks so much for joining us tonight. all right. coming up, democrats new excuse for why illegals they need to stay in the united states. >> you believe you were sent by god. yes. repent. come and be baptized in the river jordan. i speak in the name of the one true god. >> this holiday season, get 50% off fox nation's annual plan. >> light up her new years. the jewelry exchange has diamond hearts for 39 dancing sapphires, 69 stackable bands, 149 two carat, three stone rings are 1490 and one carat

1:17 am
building and nourishing both your mental and physical health. >> axiom sleep is made in the usa, has no risk of dependency, and is drug free. it's also the only sleep aid with valor est as part of its triple action formula. >> i developed axiom to help my patients fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and wake up refreshed. >> relaxing sleep worked from the very first night i took it. >> you've got to try relaxing sleep for yourself. because once you do, you'll be a customer for life, just like me. and right now you can try it for free. >> for nearly two decades now. relaxing sleep has been changing millions of lives. >> take relaxing sleep. >> i promise you it'll work. >> if you're experiencing sleepless nights or tossing and turning, you need to try relaxing. sleep now. >> i trust relaxation, sleep, and so should you. get the best night of sleep, guaranteed. don't wait another minute. >> call now.

1:19 am
>> it's illegal everywhere. if you feel different, you drive
1:20 am
different. >> democrats have come up with a new excuse to combat trump's coming deportations. it's the economy, stupid. >> the american economy is dependent, in part on the labor of undocumented immigrants. and so when we talk about mass deportation, when trump talks about that, to actually do it would decimate the american economy. >> without those migrants, it could cause huge price surges in the food industry. >> it could also cause the california wine industry to collapse. >> listen, you can't let millions of illegals roam the country just to keep the cost down of a bottle of merlot. i mean, that's not the way we do things in this country, but it seems like the left will do and say anything to keep illegals here. joining me now is texas congresswoman beth van duyne and arizona congressman andy biggs. you're both on border states. appreciate you both
1:21 am
joining us. these kind of scare people, congressman. congressman biggs, is this going to scare people? i mean, imagine if you or i said, oh, we need to keep them here because we need lo cheap end labor. you and i would be labeled as racist, wouldn't we? >> wouldn't we? >> yeah. i mean, jason, we've been actually hearing this for years that if you if you if you deport people, they're not going to pick your vegetables. your hamburger at mcdonald's is going to be higher. you're going to have to clean your, your hotel room, by the way, all these people are exploiting these folks in a way ostensibly to keep prices down. but the reality is they're making big profits doing it. and i'll just tell you this if this is such a great idea, then why are they going? are these sanctuary cities and states going to the federal government saying, oh, by the way, we're going to need $5 billion to bail us out, and we're going to deal with everything from education, health care, food costs, cell phones, all this stuff. yeah,
1:22 am
they want to scare the bejesus out of you. but america spoke on november 5th loud and clear. and they said the number one issue is we got to close the border. and that includes that you have to remove people. >> yeah, i think it was our former colleague jerry nadler that actually said, oh, well, who's going to pick the fruit or something to that effect? all right, congresswoman, one of your colleagues across the aisle has a solution to fix the economy. have a look at this. >> i think we need a pathway for more people to be able to come into the country. >> we will slow economic growth if we don't have enough talented people here developing our artificial intelligence and other aspects of our technology industry. and we also need workers at all skill levels for construction, for service industries. he's also part of your texas delegation there. what do you say to that argument? >> well, these are the same people who told us that, you know, the inflation is transitory, our borders are
1:23 am
secure, and biden is at the top of his game. so i would say they've been lying continuously. and shame on castro. as a former mayor of san antonio, he knows better. he knows that it hurts at the local level the most, where you're seeing people who don't have access to health care, infrastructure, housing, education. because of the 20 million illegal immigrants who have entered our country illegally over the last four years. shame on him. he knows better. and i'm speaking from experience. when i was mayor, when i was in city council of a large city in texas, we actually had a great partnership with immigrations and customs enforcement. we worked with ice, and when we stopped and we targeted criminal, illegal immigrants who were in our city, in our country illegally, and we called ice and they were deported. we had some of the top deportations in the country, and as a result, we got rid of thousands and thousands of illegal criminal aliens out of our street. we became one of the fifth safest cities in the country, and our economy flourished. people came from all around the world to move to irving, texas, to set up businesses because they wanted to be in communities
1:24 am
that work, that enforce the law. and as a result, i have sent out a letter to mayors in my district encouraging them to work with ice and letting them know that we're going to be having round tables next month to talk about the partnerships and what resources that they have available to them. >> so, congressman biggs, what's going to happen when they start deporting, you know, people that are here illegally and committing crimes? do you think it's going to get safer or is it going to become more dangerous? >> it's going to be much safer. americans are going to be feel feel safer, freer. they're going to be happier. and that's why they voted the way they did. i mean, good grief, you've got san diego now voting to become a super sanctuary city. so you can if you rape somebody, they want to just release you back into the community. how nutso is that? and, you know, just one other point on that, jason. there, according to the census, there's 53 million americans between the ages of 18 to 64 that are now pulled themselves out of the workforce. we need to get those folks back in the
1:25 am
workforce. trump's economy will do just that. >> yeah, and guess what? the cost of housing is probably going to go down, too. when you deport a couple million people who are consuming low income housing, guess what's going to happen? all right. really quickly, congressman, congresswoman van dyne, speaker johnson, does he get sworn back in as the next speaker? yes or no? >> i think he will. look, i would not want his job for all the all the tea in china. i mean, he has such a narrow majority, but i think it's going to be different this time around. he's going to be working with a senate that will work, and he's got a president that's going to sign the bill. so we're not just going to be fighting over messaging bills, we're going to be fighting over bills that will actually make a difference. >> congressman biggs, is he going to make it over the finish line, or is he going to have a tough time getting your vote? >> well, i'm noncommittal at this point. i'm a i'm a looker and a seer, and i, i hope that we just don't have any drama on january 3rd as as one who's authored drama before. i would say i hope drama. i hope
1:26 am
there's no drama. >> all right. two, two of my favorite people in congress who is i appreciate you joining us tonight on the ingraham angle. >> i've never discussed my business or their business, my sons or daughters. i have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings. i have never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. period. >> turns out that was just more lies. newly uncovered photos obtained by america first legal appear to show then vice president joe biden meeting with hunter's chinese business associates during a 2013 official visit. and take a look at who's in these other dad and son photos from that same trip. chinese president xi jinping. we're only getting these images now because america first legal sued the national archives and records administration to get them, and the release was
1:27 am
reportedly delayed until, you know, conveniently after the election. joining me now is florida congressman byron donalds, who's also on the oversight committee. congressman, thanks for joining us tonight. why do we get these photos so late? and what do they tell you? >> we got the photos late because it took america first legal. suing the national archives. you remember them? the same national archives that said, for a couple of years that donald trump was holding back classified information. they had to sue that national archives just to get access to these photos. and the people who were blocking these photos, none other than president joe biden and president barack obama. and so in that lawsuit, they basically said, we'll finally release those to you after the election. surprise, surprise. look, at the end of the day, joe biden was corrupt. his family is corrupt. they took millions and millions from overseas, including chinese corporations, which we all know are backed by the chinese
1:28 am
communist party. the reason why they were trying to make their own money, using joe biden's position in politics, because the biden family never had a business. they were trying to live off the largesse of his access, which was pay to play. but the american people have seen through it. he's been defeated. he's leaving soon. but this goes to show how corrupt the swamp really is. >> you know, when joe biden pardoned his son, he said, and i quote, for my entire career, i have followed a simple principle just tell the american people the truth. i hope americans will understand why a father and a president would come to this decision. i mean, congressman, that's pretty rich about being truthful. do you expect more biden family members to be pardoned before he leaves office on january 20th? >> it's very possible, but but let's be clear, the reason why he pardons hunter biden is
1:29 am
because hunter was the bag man. he was the one making all the travel, moving the money around, working with the business partners. he had daddy on the phone at a moment's notice. anytime he needed somebody to make sure that hunter had access to the big guy, which is joe biden. so, of course, going out the door, this is what joe biden has to do, not just to protect himself, but to protect his family, because this family has been built on the corruption of joe biden's position. that's the bottom line. does the brother, joe biden, does he get a pardon? it's possible the oversight committee, we already uncovered that it was joe biden's wife that wrote a check to joe biden for $40,000 and that $40,000, if you follow the money, it comes from one of the business interests that hunter biden had because of his connection, obviously, to his father, who was the top of our politics for a very long time. >> yeah, i still want to understand why joe biden's grandkids got over 100,000 or
1:30 am
$100,000 put into their account. but, you know, that's an that's another story. i still think i can hear the critics now. oh, joe biden, he's a nice guy. it's time to move on. we've already flushed this out. i mean, all these excuses to move on. but i hope you and the oversight committee, if unveil the truth to its fullest. we have to get there to its fullest. and i hope that's the commitment that you and the committee make. >> no, i totally agree. and let's be honest about this piece as well. this was covered up by the mainstream media, obviously by the democrat party and by a lot of people who knew what was going on in the intelligence community, all to protect joe biden and what has come out, the truth that has now been revealed to the american people. for as much as they wanted to talk about donald trump the last eight years, it was actually joe biden and others, i might add, who have been destructive of america's democracy. thank god for the american people making the right decision. on november 5th.
1:31 am
>> congressman, thanks for joining us tonight. happy holidays. merry christmas and happy new year. appreciate it. all right. coming up, biden's christmas commutation of violent killers is receiving major backlash. and the family of one of those victims, they join me next. you're going to want to see this. >> so you're 45. >> that's the perfect age to see some old friends explore new worlds and to start screening for colon cancer. >> yep. with colon cancer rising in adults under 50, the american cancer society recommends starting to screen earlier at age 45. i'm cologuard a noninvasive way to screen at home on your schedule, and i find 92% of colon cancers. i'm for people 45 plus at average risk for colon cancer, not high risk. false, positive and negative results may occur. ask your provider if cologuard is right for you. >> are you looking for a walk in tub for you or someone you love? well, look no further. january is national bath safety month, and for a limited time when you purchase your brand

1:37 am
gabrion off death row. gabrion was convicted of killing 19 year old rachel timmerman before she could testify against him in a rape case. >> she was handcuffed, her eyes bound, blinded with duct tape, her mouth bound, held mute with duct tape wrapped in chains, weighted with concrete blocks and thrown into oxford lake alive. >> gabrion was also accused of killing rachel's 11 month old daughter, shannon. her body was never found. >> i want the man that murdered my daughter to know that he is going to be put to death, just as rachel knew on the shores of oxford lake that she was going to be put to death. >> joe biden took that justice away from them, just like he did the families of alice donovan and some the burns. the two women were raped and murdered by chadrick fulks and
1:38 am
brandon basham in 2002, after the pair escaped from prison and embarked on an alleged 17 day crime spree. both men were sentenced to death row, but biden just took them off of it. same goes for brandon counsel, who was convicted of killing two women during a bank robbery in 2017. he shot bank teller donna major multiple times. then he did the same to katherine skene, who was hiding under her desk. he then stole one of their cars. donna major's husband danny, and their daughter heather turner. join me now. thank you both for joining us. this is tough. it's got to be amazingly tough for your family. explain to us. maybe we could start. danny, tell us what what your wife went through and. and what happened? he got convicted. but
1:39 am
did the biden administration? did joe biden? did they ever tell you why they did what they did? >> no, they never told us why they did what they did. my belief is that they knew all along that they were that he was going to do this. it started out about six months ago that our prosecuting team talked to contacted us and told them that he was going for an appeal for a commutation, and they refused to visit with us in person in washington, which was a request that we made. we got a short internet interview with them for about ten minutes, and apparently it fell on deaf ears. it's go ahead. >> that's frustrating. >> it's very frustrating that president biden can have this power. >> you know, he wasn't charged
1:40 am
for his own mishandling of classified documents because he was too old. >> and they said his memory was failing. he only proved that he's not capable of making presidential decisions at the presidential debate in june. >> so the fact that we are in this position today is so frustrating that biden is able to do this and that there's really nothing we can do. our hands are tied. >> he's a disgrace to the presidency of the united states. he truly is. he's a senile old man. >> heather, i read and correct me if i'm wrong, but i read, i think, that you had forgiven this killer. but there are consequences for somebody's action, right? what did the jury say? and what do you believe should have happened? >> absolutely. >> i have forgiven this man. >> and to be honest, i know that president trump's words are strong, and i don't want
1:41 am
that for brandon council. >> i don't want him to spend his life in hell. i, i want him to know jesus christ as his personal savior. but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve consequences. there are still consequences for the choices that we make. and brandon council made the choice that day to go in and kill my mother and to kill the other woman, katie skeen, in the bank. and that deserves a consequence. at this point, i feel like how this process. >> sorry, danny, let's go back to this process here. how far before christmas? who was it that actually called? did you get a call? did you get an email? how did they actually how did this actually work? >> well, our prosecution team called us the night before. joe biden was supposedly going to commute these sentences to make us aware that this was going to be going on, that that was the decision had to be made, had been made already. so at that point, there was nothing we
1:42 am
could do. his defense team during his appeal had 300 pages of why he should not be sentenced to death, including racial comments about that. the trial was a racist, a racially racially motivated the conviction and not the conviction, but the sentencing. i just don't understand why 37 sentences commuted, but yet three, which i believe were politically motivated were not. i can't understand why my wife's life is worth less than theirs. well, how does that? i mean, if he's so convicted? yes, sir. >> danny, my question for you is i believe that this killer confessed to the killing is my understanding. but, danny, what's your message to president biden tonight?
1:43 am
>> my message to president biden tonight would be. i don't believe that you have any convictions. i believe that you you have no problem with millions of babies being killed in the womb. unborn babies. you have no problem with the three people who were did not get commuted sentences. so we're truly where are your your convictions. and then to listen to the pope tell him that he should not continue along with these death sentences is another thing that i don't understand. i don't know what to understand what the pope should have to do with our rule of law. >> danny and heather, i feel for you. our heart goes out to you this holiday season. it's got to be tough for this news to come right before christmas. and to have to go through this. our hearts go out to you. god bless you. and i just know there are a lot of people that

are in the right seat at nhtsa. gov. slash the right seat. >> 2024 was a tough year for the left, but did they learn any lessons? let's start with kamala's media allies. >> as the first female vice president. history is going to look kindly on her term. she's made some really important strides on behalf of women in the country. i hope we take a moment to acknowledge her extraordinary history making contributions and not just, you know, leave this her sole legacy as having lost the presidency, her contributions. >> you mean as the border czar, or maybe coming in a distant second in a presidential race? well, joining me now is doctor nicole saphier, fox news contributor. and all around good. just great person. so what was the big contribution? what was the big contribution of kamala harris? what was her? she's been there for four years. i defy you nicole, to
1:50 am
name something. >> well, jason, so first of all, it is a big feat to have the first female vice president. but let's remember, no one really voted for her. and actually, when she ran in her primary, she was dead last. so, sure, the country rejected her in 2024, but democrats rejected her first in 2019. so it wasn't that republicans rejected a female candidate. democrats again rejected her first. and i don't know, in the last four years what those accomplishments were, other than she was just the first female vice president. she certainly failed in many of the tasks given to her. and unfortunately, i think a lot of the administration, they don't check the what they wanted to do or what people are saying that they do because they're just wanting to fluff it up a little bit. and right now all they're doing is pointing fingers, saying who's to blame for them losing the election, but they're not going to be able to clap for the progress that's going to come in the next four years, because they're going to continue being busy pointing fingers. >> all right. i want to get your reaction to this quote from bill clinton or former president. he was featured in
1:51 am
the new york times and he said, ideologically, the people who are most likely to be against women are most likely to be conservative. so when people agree with you, it's easier to be for them. but i think a woman can be elected president, i do. did you try to make sense of that for us, please? >> well, geez, that's widely offensive to a lot of women. maybe. maybe they're not anti-women. maybe they're just anti-hillary clinton. how about the fact that she wasn't trustworthy domestically or internationally? i mean, we had the whole whitewater scandal. how about the way that four people were killed with benghazi? no, people did not want hillary clinton because of who she was, not because she was a woman. and again, harris, let's remember, democrats rejected her first. >> they did. i mean, you were right, because with kamala harris, she was pulling in sixth place behind andrew yang. for goodness sake. i mean, that was unbelievable how far behind she was. and you know what, nicole? maybe the one thing
1:52 am
they should focus in on ideas and policies because they seem to be voided. they got all these other excuses, but they don't look at policy. they were prescribing policy that nobody wanted. i wish i had more time with you. you know i do. but i got to keep going because i went long in the last interview. so happy new year. best to you and your family. but we got to move on because coming up, we'll take you inside. trump's big move back into the white house. that's coming up next. >> hi. it's christina again. is your shower trying to tell you something is getting in and out of the bathtub becoming a safety concern? are you worried about the cost of a bathroom remodel that could go on for weeks and weeks? well, now you

1:58 am
here. see this? this is a very ominous looking because of the red button. what does that get you when you press? that gets you a coke or it gets you a pepsi? every time i press that people. >> that's right. the daily mail is reporting that trump's diet coke button is making it back to the oval office. joining me now to take us behind the scenes of the big move is michael larosa, a former special assistant to president biden and former press secretary for first lady jill biden. michael, it's intriguing, right? the president's sworn in, and five hours later, everything's up and ready to go. like it's magic, but it's there are a lot of people that got to do a lot of things right. >> that's right. as soon as the outgoing president and the incoming president and their spouses depart the white house for the capitol, that is when that is only then when the president, the incoming president's belongings are moved into the white house and, you know, he'll go to the swearing in and then the parade down pennsylvania avenue, go to the reviewing stand.
1:59 am
>> by the time he walks into the office, the oval office, i guess his button will be reinstalled. >> i love that he has a diet coke button. it's right there, right by the phone. >> but this replaces it with my understanding. >> yeah. fair enough, fair enough. my understanding is that there's about 100 people that are full time staff that really are at the core of making this happen. how does how does this really work? >> that's right. so the chief usher oversees the maintenance, the utilities, the first family's private life in the and the residence staff who are permanent, nonpolitical members of the white house. and, you know, they are loyal to the former family, first family and the new first family. they are nonpartisan. but it is those professionals at the white house who will, you know, be responsible for moving all the belongings in if there's children getting there, getting their room set up or if there's
2:00 am
pets. the bidens came with two dogs and eventually a cat. >> yeah, just to have all their clothes hanging in their closet ready to go. i mean, it is an amazing feat that they do that every couple of years, right? >> so that's right. >> and but the priority is the continuity of government. and i know that sounds silly because it is actually true when it comes to the functioning of government, but it's also true for when the president walks into the oval office after leaving the reviewing stand, that those curtains are exactly the way they planned it. during the transition between the president's team, his oval office operations, and the chief white house usher. >> michael. thank you. happy new year. that's it for us tonight. i'm jason chaffetz in for laura. hope you can go check out my podcast jason in the house. just type in jason in the house and you can see it. thank you for watching this special edition of the ingraham angle. jesse watters primetime takes it from here.
