news, fox news at night. we are getting brand new information on the truck attack in people in the french quarter of new orleans. the fbi now leading the investigation and treating it as an act of terror and also asking for the public's help in the search for likely coconspirators which by the way, that is a live look, the french quarter, the scene of the crime in new orleans. as the death toll has now risen to 15 with dozens injured, some severely. and one very important question that my colleague asked louisiana senator john kennedy. >> is new orleans safe tonight? >> yes, but we're still in the process of tightening up security. we're still in the process of doing everything that we possibly can. >> and we will go indepth on

the death toll right now stands at 15 people, but that number obviously could go up. more than 30 others were injured, some critically in this horrific attack. this crowd was especially big, trace, because new orleans is always a big destination for people for new year's eve. but today was the big college football game, the sugar bowl between georgia and notre dame. there were more than 60,000 fans in town for that game. many of them were here last night for the festivities as well. so there was a lot of folks here. that game has been delayed from tonight now taking place tomorrow afternoon, and we're told they are bringing in a lot of additional resources to ensure that folks coming for that game are going to be safe and feel safe. trace. >> garrett tenny live in the french quarter, thank you. let's bring in louisiana attorney general. great to have you on the show.
