vigilling being held for the victims of the horrific new year's day terror attack in new orleans. all 14 killed in that attack now have been identified. rachel: meanwhile, investigators are still learning more about the suspect's path. charlie: mark meredith joining us with the details. >> reporter: investigators have released the names of all 14 people killed, we're learning more about the victims including their ages can range from 18 to 63. those kill include recent high school, college graduates, a tech worker at the supertome d even a former wide receiver at princeton university. the mother of one of the victims is remembering her daughter. she's quoted as saying she wouldn't want us to be sad, but at the same time, we can't help but selfish and want her back. for somebody to take her life and the lives of of all these innocent people, it'sly tick the louse. people are bringing flowers, candles, crosses, signs.

federal and state investigators also still investigating how a 42-year-old army veteran who supported isis became radicalized. ark bc news reports it's seen a social media video tied to the suspect claiming he joined isis earlier that year. he references new orleans and said he even thought about harming members of his family before deciding to carry out the attack. investigators are curious about the makeshift bomb did not go off because it included materials not traditionally seen on attacks on western targets. nbc said the driver and inspired vehicular attack in new orleans use used a very rare explosive compound if those two home made bombs that did not detonate. president biden is expected to visit tomorrow and will likely weigh in on the latest on the investigation there. guy, rachel and charlie, back to you. charlie: thank you, mark. rachel: thank you. guy: really disturbing debate

[applause] if. rachel: that, of course, served america, didn't it, charlie? charlie: yeah. , and of course, if fact that he says according to the intelligence community which means it's gone beyond just the political talking a heads and the idiot withs who want the ignore if -- idiots who want to ignore the real threat. it's actually dived much deeper into our intelligence agencies. i bet he's not making that up. i bet he's surrounded himself with intelligence figures who actually have gone around and built this thing that they can focus on instead of focusing on real e threats. rachel: but is it the chicken or the egg? charlie: yeah, exactly. rachel: the politics is driving -- the people in the

intelligence community know what the politicians or the boss, joe biden, wants. they want to feed this narrative that white supremacy was everywhere, that donald trump was, you know, hitler himself, that all these j-6ers weren't upset about an election or what they thought were irregularities in it, that they were actually there because they were white supremacists. even our own cohost to, pete hegseth, was flagged within the military because he had a jerusalem cross tattoo to. i was sitting next to him for a long time, never noticed that. here's governor desantis slamming the federal agencies for not focus on these other issues. >> mark, you think back to those obama years that you referenced, is and we were this in a world of hurt. they were downplaying the threat of militant islam. donald trump came down and was very strong against isis, obviously, much stronger on the border. but if you look at where we are

now after four years of biden, we're many in way worse shape than we were even under barack obama. and part of it is, yes, they've had the border wide open, but then you've had the approach from our national security apparatus and institutions like the fbi. they almost think, oh, well, islamic terrorism, that's so 2020, 2001, right? like somehow it's not a threat anymore. they've spent more resources going after nonviolent protesters on january 6th. they focus on dei, and they downplay the threat that militant islamic terrorism imposes. it is still very real, and i would argue probably in the last decade it's probably a greater threat today than it has been in the last decade. guy: number one, thinking back to the montage we plaid of mayorkas and bind at the very end there -- biden at the very

end, i think merrick garland as well, biden used the white supremacy point as an applause line. a literal political applause line there, which is a very strange thing to me. white supremacy is repulsive. people who are motivated by that to engage in violence should be arrested, and the government should be aware of that sort of thing. but if you're going to deprioritize other very serious threats and instead focus in, for example, on peaceable pro-life protesters or parents going to school board meetings and then we're getting hit by radical islamic terrorism and they're like, well, statistically, look at this white supremacy problem, i think that rubs a lot of people the wrong way especially when we have been sitting in this country for the if last, what, 14, 15 months watching literal pro-terrorism hate rallies in our streets, on our campuses almost on a daily or weekly basis sometimes. and they keep telling us, no, no, ignore all of that.

only focus on this thing over here that happens to align with our very narrow ideological world view. and i think that that is upsetting to to a lot of people and and actually dangerous, right? rachel: yeah. well, our own policy, let's not pretend that our foreign policy doesn't upset people in the world and that we do a lot of stupid things, involving ourselves in situations, in wars and conflicts that aren't are directly of interest to the united states. and so we also have the look at our foreign policy if we're boeing to get to the bottom of in this. -- going to get to the bottom of this this. you can't have disfunctional foreign policy and open borders at the same time. it's not a good idea. charlie: exactly. strong military, strong borders and sensible foreign policy solves 90 to % of these problems. rachel: amen to that. charlie: president biden is focused on giving medals of freedom to the highest bidder, in the case yesterday, the george soros among others. and, you know, when you look back at what george soros has

contributed to the country, i can't really hi of anything other than -- think of anything other than t. the a.s that he has -- d.a.s that he has bankrolled especially in places like california, left-wing places, that voters have completely rejected because of the crime that they've spawn pded. i don't -- i can't think of what the purpose for giving him the award was except that he gave the democrat party more money hand anybody else. guy: yeah. it's a very big, expensive thank you note from the democrats to one of their biggest donors. and i just find it so interesting. they on the left, democratic party, rail and rant against billionaires and the influence of money in politics -- [laughter] andstst the all a sham. they are 100% in favor of billionaire participating in our politics, tons of dark money in our politics so long as it's their dark money and george soros' specifically. and he gets a medal -- looks

like it was given to his billionaire son on his behalf. it's a complete joke, and it's totally hypocritical, and soros, i think the crime point is really important. part of the reason donald trump won, trump could give soros an award because the crime and destruction in our cities that soros unleashed with all that money to these pro-crime so-called prosecutors, first of all, it's done a lot of damage and harm, of course, but i think it did trigger a political backlash the what we saw in november. rachel: no question. this is what rick scott, senator from florida, had to say. apparently, all it takes to receive the highest honor from biden is to donate $20 billion to to his family. j.d. vance said i look forward to giving -- biden giving the presidential medal of freedom postyou mousily to pulpot and dracula. there is an evil villain on the

james with bond level when you think about george soros -- guy: oh, supervillain. rachel: another person was none other than hillary clinton. watch. >> you know, to just be grossly general with listic -- general listic, you could put half of trump's supporters into what i call the basket of deplorables. [laughter] right? sadly, so many of those extremists, maga extremists, take their marching orders from donald trump who has no credibility left by any measure. and when do they break with him? you know, because at some point, you know, maybe there needs to be form ifal deprogramming of the cult members. rachel: yeah. i wonder what ambassador christopher stevens would have felt about this award, or the navy seals who died trying to rescue him. this is on outrageous award for

her, actually. this is outrageous. charlie: yeah. and talk about cult leaders, you know, another person that joe biden gave, i guess, instead of count dracula are was bill nye, the fake science guy. and if there's one guy who is more responsible for more mental illness among young people, his peddling fake science and terrifying american youth into believing that the climate crisis is going to end their lives in the next five years, it's that guy right there. and, of course, he also among -- he's a big proponent of punishing people for having children. rachel: no question about that. and also that scaring of the children isn't just giving them anxiety and, by the way, or really one-sided information -- charlie: totally. rachel: -- but it has bore itself out in birthrates. i mean, the number of young people who no longer want to have kids, one of the reasons are, they claim, is that they

think it's virtuous. i'm not going to increase the footprint, the eco-footprint that i make on the world because of the environmental impact of having children. guy: you're single-handedly fighting back -- charlie: on behalf of all of us. rachel: do you remember meghan markle and harry bragged they would only have two kids, that was their contribution. limit two kids because their so virtuous. charlie: to be fair, that is a contribution coming from them. rachel: i am proudly an eco-terrorist. [laughter] charlie: it's also the biden administration who their latest effort so to go after your water heaters, because they are, i don't know, energy -- they're producing, the water they produce is too warm. guy: it's too effective. charlie: exactly. rachel: by the way, they're banning non-condensing water heaters. i want to give you guys a little

background. it's important -- other things they're banning. i got background on this. there are tankless heaters that that they're banning. now, you can buy one with a 75-gallon tank, but that's $8000 more. they said this other one is not as environmentally as good for whatever reason, and they're banning it. but this company has a factory that they started, they put up during the sort of manufacturing boom during the trump years. they invested millions, $700 million -- $70 million, and now they have all this equipment that, basically, they're going of to throw out if this thing goes through. and this was an 11th hour, you know, rule that was put in that's going to impact not just the company, but all the workers. and, of course, all the poor people who -- and middle class people and people on fixed incomes when, you know, if it's $1,000 versus $1800, that makes a huge difference to them, and they're going to force them into these more expensive ones that

some say don't even work as well. here's a quote from the if american gas association's chief counsel, his name is matthew agent. he told fox news digital, forcing senior customers the pay far more up front is marley concerning. the department of energy decision's decision to go ahead with a flawed final rule is deeply do disappointing. it is a war on working class. this is a war on modern life. charlie: and any one of these rules that the administration puts into place, i would argue unconstitutionally, is, as you point out, whether it's this or it's gas prices, it always pun if everybodies poor -- punishes poorer people the worst. guy: and this is on top of all the inflation people have suffered under during the biden administration. i would say this is the rife for donald trump taking office in a few days breaking out a big, beautiful red sharpie and crossing out the regulation, and if he can't do it without congress' help, the

congressional review act exists exactly for -- charlie: and, of course, inflation is at least somewhat a result of exactly these policies. phi guy uh-huh. rachel: amen. i know it's off topic, but it's related. this was the new york post, hochul, governor hochul's $9 congestion fee. you can't -- it's going into effect today. again, do you think $9 hurts a wall street financier? no, hurts the working class. guy: yeah. people who have to to commute, and now they're stuck with this. we'll be talking more about that momentarily. let's get to some headlines as we kick off this first hour of a big show starting with fox news alert. the ex-girlfriend of the green beret who who allegedly blew up a cyber truck in las vegas says he struggled with injuries, and he was depressed saying he would, quote, tell me he had depression. we can't hang out today, i'm too depressed. he had a lot of inner strength, if he would just push through it. the suspect frequently used the

army's mental health resources adding, quote, he did not display concerning behaviors at the time and was granted personal leave. here's the story ray rachel was just talking about, new york's controversial congestion toll officially going into effect overnight. the increased toll will cost drivers entering the buzziest part of -- busieriest part of manhattan $9, 5 a.m.-9 a.m. weekdays. the mta says the toll will reduce the number of cars if the9 city by 80,000. that's the point, i guess. rachel: poor people walk or take the subway. charlie: where you can be burned alive. rachel: yeah. guy: the ravens crushing the browns, they looked really good request. baltimore will be the 3 seed in the afc playoffs, in the afc, rather, when the playoffs begin next week.

it sounds like this attacker may have been sucked into life online looking for purpose, casting about, and there was isis with open arms. is this typical with this sort of thing? >> yes. and that's why the term lone wolf is really deceptively misleading, and i would say evendown productive, because it gives -- counterproductive because it gives the the impression this is one of the mentally unstable people you will end -- encounter in a large population, and there's not much you can do about it. that's actually not what's going on. look at what the relative told fox news, maybe someone got ahold of him. so are you really a lone wolf? because i would argue there are still these jihad factories specifically for isis, but for the islamist ideology overall and that type of extremism that operate physically through registered nonprofits and then the online as well.

and they're a all interconnected. there is an infrastructure that creates this type of thing. guy: so, obviously, it's like a worst case scenario at the end of this where you have 14 innocent people murdered in a a major terror attack on a holiday. there were many steps down that road to darkness that led to that awful moment. what can be done earlier in the process to the intervene if are there certain red flags people can look for? part of this is probably law enforcement, intelligence. some of it is the also family members, friends. what do do you see and what do you recommend on that front? >> look for obsession. look for puritanism. they will often isolate themselves, have a new social circle on line or in person, and usually they become very arrogant, very puritanical, very judgmental of others. and if so they put themselves in this self-reinforcing bubble over and over again, and they

live in that ecosystem. and so the threat that you're seeing is not just isis-specific i cosystems like that, that that you can see people falling into and it happens very, very quickly, and that's where we need to focus to our attention. not just people going through financial difficulties and poem get divorces. that's life. what you have to target is what's unique about this which are the ecosystems. and the extremist ecosystems, the anti-american, jew-hating ones are rapidly growing. like i said before, even beyond the islamist element, the radical islamist element exists within this broader seditionist anti-american, anti-semitic ecosystem that, again, includes a lot of nonprofits that are stoking things like the violence you see at protests on college campuses. and guess what? nonprofits are not supposed to do that. it is a violation of irs code to con fire to the commit crime

whether -- conspire to commit crime when it's fighting police or breaking ordinances. so one with of the things the incoming trump administration should do, in my opinion, is form a commission of people who monitor this type of thing and identify those nonif profits that no longer qualify for tax-exempt status and have the irs strip them of it. you don't need new legislation, you just need people, frankly, like my colleagues at capital research center, we do this for a living, to give you the list and the evidence, and this could be wrapped up quickly. guy: i did see the new york post reporting that the mosque that this attacker attended in texas told its members and referred any fbi questions into the attacker to a group called care whose ex2eu67tive -- executive director open hi prays the -- praised the october 7th terror attacks in israel. obviously, there are red flagses aplenty, so it's important to keep an eye on them and stay

rachel: we're back with a fox weather alert. a monstrous winter storm dumping snow over the midwest as nearly 60 to million people across 27 states face threats of heavy snow, ice and freezing cold temperatures. let's turn now to chief meteorologist rick reichmuth for our fox weather forecast. okay, rick, just how cold is it going to get? if. rick: well, it's going to be the really cold once the storm moves through, but we've got a lot of snow and some ice, and the ice is one of the biggest concerns. where the ice falls, you cannot

be out on roads. it's not like you can get traction that that you can get with snow out on the roads, so you have to be really careful. this is the storm that started overnight or yesterday afternoon especially across parts of kansas. we've got the snow, the ice, and where you see this pink color, that is ice. s it is air -- water that is falling higher in the atmosphere, it is warm enough, actually, to be a liquid precipitation, and at the ground it's frozen. it lands on the ground, coats everything with ice. and behind it we'll get snow if on top of that ice, and that's going to make travel really, really rough. blizzard warnings in effect anywhere you see this red. once the storm comes through, it's going to be really windy. that will drop the wind chills down and make it difficult the see out on those roads. most of in this cuts right across interstate 70. watch how plays out throughout the day today. storm slides off of towards the east, by tonight you've got snow if in towards washington, d.c., a mix as cross much of virginia, and this is still with us for

much of the day on monday. charlie, over to you. charlie: makes for good duck hunting. thank you, rick. house republicans holding a weekend strategy the session looking ahead to president-elect trump's new term as speaker johnson reveals trump favors a conservative policy overhaul in one sweeping package. joining us now with more from that meeting is gof congresswoman claudia entheny. -- gop congresswoman. congresswoman, you've had a fun week. you all had some drama on frida- [laughter] but you came up with a speaker. and then you all met privately off campus yesterday. what -- tell us about that meeting and what you all arrived at. >> well, i thought it was a tremendous meeting, and i think that one of the most important things to gain from that meeting is what an historic time we're at right now. the fact that donald trump was able to win with a mandate and the fact that the republicans were able to take back the senate and, yes, a very slim majority in the house. this is a moment where we have

the make sweeping changes, we have to make a difference to the american people. and i think we're in a great position to do that. it reminds me of maybe our founding. it's that important or even what lincoln faced during the civil war. we have a president who is a entrepreneur matched with mike johnson who is a constitutional scholar, both courageous, both understand the mission. and i think we're going to be carrying that out x. it's a really exciting time, to see the two of them -- which they're an interesting, perfect match, actually, right now. they're trying to balance what our founders looked at. how do we preserve freedom but protect our security in that's the border, that's stopping the oppression from the overbureaucrattization, the deep state, so-called, versus freedom, economic freedom, energy, releasing american energy and allowing us to be the dominant player on the world stage. tax cuts, border. all these things are going to come together to enhance what we call order liberty and what our

founders envision. and i think we're right there there at a moment to save america, and i think that's what president trump and mike johnson and, obviously, leader thune in the senate, that was their message and, of course, we got to hear from the great stephen miller about what his plans are and his leadership as well. charlie: truly historic, and you couldn't find two more divergent characters working together, which is a good thing. the general idea, big picture ideas is we're looked at border, tax cuts and perhaps debt ceiling all in one package. is that kind of what y'all are going for, and and is that doable? >> yes. well, that's what we're going to have to do, and i think one of the things that speaker johnson emphasized is that we need to do in this in one large bill because we've got to get it done. we can't miss an opportunity. we only get two shots at reconciliation, and that's that procedure in the senate because we don't have a 60 to-vote margin. by doing that, we have certain limitations coming from the senate parliamentarian, but we've got to get these

initiatives done. we have a president who has promised the american people to do it. we said to -- speaker johnson said keep your powder dry, let's make sure we work with every single member, all of their needs and wants. what is in the best interests of the american people, and unity is going to be the order of the day. we can't afford to lose one member. mine, basically one -- charlie: as we a saw friday. >> yes. well, that was -- buts this is what it's going to look like. it's going to be arduous, but i think speaker johnson is the perfect person to do this, to work with donald trump. speaker johnson is persistent, he's courageous. he's also very patient and very willing to be sympathetic is listen to the needs of our very diverse conference which we have the get together. we -- this is historic. we have to put together. we have to deliver for the american people. and i think we have a unique combination of true patriots that are going to do that. charlie: well, i -- it's going to be interesting to watch, for sure. congresswoman tenney, thank you
