is that possible? guy: they had a success right they got together. a lot of the nay sayers are here we go again -- all of the drama multiple rounds how's it going to go and then one round, one and done speaker johnson elected unity required with one straggler everyone else on the same page. they're going to have to stays on the same page if they want to do anything really there was a long list we heard from the congresswoman a lot easier said than done. because it's like herding cats sometimes. but big promises were made to the american people. not just by -- congressional candidates and members of congress trying to keep their jobs but also, of course, by the president-elect. and they have the opportunity they stick together to do some significant things here in the coming months. >> a razor thin majority they have to set together or else none of the things will get done. >> i have given up on some level because it's been what 15 years

since -- congress has gone through regular order to fund the government. which i find enraging and -- it's to me it is -- they should all be impeached for it. it is so appalling. but given the depth of our problems, you know, the idea of trying to get a couple of big things through on reconciliation which allows them to skirt the filibuster in the senate trump, obviously, wants to do the border and he wants to extend tax cuts, and he also wants to get a debt ceiling hike to give them some maneuverability room for the next year. which all of the, you know, the debt ceiling thing always against that. but i understand why they want to do that. earlier today we talked to congresswoman claudia from new york an she talked about how they think they might get that through. >> i thought it was a tremendous meeting. i think that one of the most important things to gain from that meeting is --

what a historic time we're at right now. the fact that donald trump is able to win with a mandate, and the fact that the republicans were able to take back the senate and yes a very slim majority in the house but this is a moment where we have to make sweeping changes. we have to make a difference to the american people. and i think we're in a great position to do that. one of the things that speaker johnson emphasized is that we need to do this in one large bill because we've got to get it done. we can't miss an opportunity. we only get two shots at reconciliation speak or johnson is perfect person to work with donald trump. this is historic. we have to put this together. we have to deliver for the american people. and i think we have a unique combination of true patriots that are going to do that. rachel: wow. that's exciting actually. exciting. charlie: she points out you could not pick find two people who are more different personality wise -- [laughter] than speak or johnson and donald trump. guy: some of the video and just

relational president he understands relationships matter and those relationships he has for example with johnson able to communicate get things done and that's been important. i think it paid off for speaker johnson to have a close relationship with are the president to pick up the phone and talk to each other and they know what ticks each other off and all of those kinds of things that happen in relationships. charlie: they do cover the entire nerd spectrum to total jock, donald trump. and like you guy, speaker johnson does a mean, mean donald trump impersonation he does -- >> he can break that out. if you've ever seen guys impersonation it is a pretty good inters nation. it is good. >> we were talking about we love zumba folks don't we love i zumba many times. have well -- charlie: i do the worst trump impersonation but i do it to make myself feel better is it makes me happy.

party into. a lot of those people that working class people who maybe voted democrat, you know, could have been introduced to politics by rush limbaugh. rachel: i'm sorry -- guy: tied behind his back to make it fair. rachel: there's a fascinating "60 minutes" interview that you can go back and watch on youtube i watched with george soros from -- quite a while back. but when you watch this interview and he talks about his childhood he's sociopathic it is unbelievable this man who is currently had a stake in destroying our country, but also you know, his past, it is just kind of crazy. but also want to mention supersoccer player, star, given the award didn't show up a lot of people going why. why did he get it? here's what i think happened here's my theory you tell me if i'm wrong i think this was

flf rachel: we've got a lot of nominations -- confirmation hearings coming out from some of donald trump nominees and one that people have been talking about that might be controversial was the health and human services position that rfk jr. sup for. but what's interesting is we're starting to see that maybe some democrats will support rfk this is a quote from the hill as preparations for confirmation hearings begin to take shape multiparking lot sources say that bernie sanders and john fetterman in particular are at least considering voting for kennedy noting shared critiques on heavy corporate influence over food and a desire to promote a less chemical laden country bernie will give him a fair review said one source close to the senators office. what do you guys think? >> it is interesting when you stop and think about two renegades two rare renegades in the democrat party. whatever you think of bernie sanders, he's also a total

communist. but there are at least renegades within the party and it -- underscores how much the rest of the democrat party has become the party of corporations. and completely beholdened to the corpses that sadly our government agencies have been corrupted into more supporting than overseeing and trying to -- guy: although i would say a word of caution from a conservative perspective rfk jr. whatever you think of especially on health related issues he's single payer government run health care like bernie sanders. he's also not pro-life on the abortion issue. so i think those are -- important questions for the republicans on the committee to ask him because that's a powerful position he's up for. rachel: i want to ask him that as a catholic i love positions he's got. but boy i have a hard time with pro-life or his proabortion policies and positions. we have chef rule on earlier talking about this health issue. and how why he thinks that rfk

is the only guy qhok fix our food supply problem. listen. >> i don't think they should be telling people what they shouldn't eat and they need to get out of that game of information because that information is captured right, so a lot of that money that's provided from the private corporations or the big corporations to the advisory board into the federal government to jam down things like the food pyramid to us that is money. follow the money that's not good information get them out of the information game if anything let's allow octave information to flow through freely to consumer to make a decisions themselves. as the government has gotten bigger through the usda we've gotten sicker we look at the chemicals in foods and we realize these aren't sold in countries all around the world yet we're being given information here in the united states that's not good that's forcing us to eat those chemicals get those out. >> yeah. government studies not funded by the corpses. by the food industry,

interesting topic no matter where the -- where the politicians are i think this is a truly bipartisan issue for the citizens. charlie: those hearings will be interesting. now to a fox weather alert a winter storm dumping snow over the midwest is nearly 60 million people across 27 states face threats of heavy snow, ice, and freezing cold temperatures. guy: turn flow to rick for the fox weather forecast it's an important one. >> midwest also headed to eastern seaboard washington, d.c., baltimore, philadelphia, in for one of the biggest snowstorms you've had likely in years. i'll show you temperatures very cold already. the colder air in place by the way going to get much colder behind this storm. that cold air going to settle down across the southeast as well. this is the storm right now. see the snow flying across parts of kansas especially we have blizzard warning there is. now in effect, and look at this where you see that purple -- that's mixing rain snow. but where you see the pink that is icing.

at temperatures at the surface are below freezing, but up above they're actually warmer. and the precipitation falls as rein and freezes on contact on the ground and on every surface. because of that power outages easy with. this is where we've got watches and warnings in place anywhere from kansas at orange that's where you see the blizzard warnings, winter storm warnings, ice storm warnings in effect and this is the icing we're expecting especially across parts much kentucky southern illinois southern indiana wide power outages largely along interstate 70 you have to be careful keep in mind you'll be without power potentially and cold air temperatures feeling like into the single digit so it is going to be really cold. bit time we get towards tonight into tomorrow storm moves towards east this is i-95 corridor we have winter storm warnings in effect from philadelphia down through baltimore down towards d.c.. back towards west virginia, by the way, but some spots here may be getting over a foot of snow

a selfless person. great friend, brother and son. he had a deep passion for the sport of lacrosse he played in college just big jets fan he was supposed to be at the game today he had bought his father and brother tickets for christmas. hard worker always talked about the future really just had an amazing future ahead of him and it just such a shame that it was taken from him. guy: you went down there for this celebratory night having a good time how do you get separated and when did you have a sense that maybe something was wrong? >> yeah. so we went down for new year's eve and the sugar bowl, next day -- you know, it was a little blurry that moment but we were together for 99% of the night e turned around and billy wasn't there i had a missed phone call from him at 3:17 a.m. 3:19 a.m., i texted him called him where are you went to go outside, and at that point the

bouncers had locked us inside of the establishment said, you know, there's something going on outside i didn't realize the severity of it at the time. and then went outside and it was just mayhem and spent all night looking for him, obviously, to no avail. >> when did you find out that those growing gnawing fears were, in fact, confirmed? >> later that night. it was a horrible day. that didn't really have much information for us unfortunately and we were kind of just sitting there we were in the hospital, and yeah. it was just horrific. >> how has your friend group and his family been reacting to this because it has to feel on some level not real. surreal too all awful to be trut it is true. >> absolutely. so it was one of the most evil things possible what happened. but i will say the aftermath and the support that the community has been showing and our great hometown our friends, family

because of ice it was a skating rink but they're playing broncos later on today. back here upwards of a foot of snow in st. louis right now it is snowing looking for five to nine inches there. the other impact is at the airports, kansas city forget about it 75.of the departure and arrivals at kci have been canceled and about 50% of the flights in and out of st. louis have also been canceled. this is going to last into monday morning, and south of here it is the ice storm warnings. cape getting ice power outages showing up 6,000 so far ice from parts of missouri and southern illinois, and parts of western kentucky, and this is all headed east guys. d.c., baltimore under winter storm warnings all the way to philadelphia to make a mess of the monday morning commute likely extend vacation for millions of kids who have been out for christmas will likely not go back to school tomorrow maybe not even tuesday. but this is a beg storm likely

executive director for the center for a secured free society visiting fellow at the heritage foundation -- foundation joseph joins now. joseph good to see you. so you know i was struck by the fact that this was found by both u.s. officials in coordination with mexican officials. does that tell us anything about maybe -- the mexican authorities realizing that they're going to have to start actually participating in securing the border? >> well, you know we've had good cooperation with mexican authorities on tactical issues. what happens is when you want to get to strategic issues or high level against the mexican cartels that collaboration breaks down under most recent government but new government in mexico and new president of the united states so hoping that cooperation can enhance as far as the tunnels we have this refrain in the military we say amateur talk strategy

professionals talk logistics and on the border we have advanced that cartellings build because they're powered by massive amounts of money. you have the global drug industry $360 billion. the amount of money that's being poured on to the elicit emphasizes is giving best technologies to go around law enforcement. so this is a major challenge i think for the mexican government and new trump administration they need to focus on the logistics that power just like it does in a war about, supply lines power the militaries and this case logistics power the cartels allows them to do all of the stuff theyi wantg cartels are now mexico fifth large largest employer operating along southern border but also inside of mexico i've been concerned as you know we've been

having these conversations that open border and enrichment and empowering of these cartels would turn mexico into a narco state. is that where we are where they're the fifth largest employer. that's insane? dges that's 100% of the direction that mexico is going. this is a tremendous concern. we cannot afford for mexico to become a venezuela as a neighbor, trade partner and we share a very long border. and what happens and this is the biggest concern especially on border towns is as you know rachel like -- enterprise doesn't stop because you stop governing, a free enterprise that we're all involved in and illegal and elicit emphasize and when the elicit driven more than the production that means it is renderable and next day you're a truck driver for a cartel, and that's what's happening on border towns, incentives are lining so that elicit is

rachel: nicole i'm not saying it would replace weight lifting but i do my weight lifting and i have to choose between the row machine or biking -- or doing the sauna -- is that the same if those cardio exercises raises my heart -- not saying replace weight lifting but talking about the cardio -- >> but but you're skipping out on weight baring exercises but building that lean muscle. no but there are two different things lifting weights is one thing that's building lean muscle but weight baring exercises meaning baring your own weight not lifting weights but your weight so running -- riding a bike -- dancing -- pickle ball -- tennis all of the thingings that is the most helpful for your core and your bones. you cannot omit that you have to find a few more extra minutes in the day which i know is impossible but you have to try. >> i was hoping you would tell me i can relax in the sauna and
