right there. back with a fox weather alert. one of the snowiest days in years for certain parts of the country freezing rain, sleet and snow pummel the midwest. fox weather channel's mike slidell is live in saint lewis with mike -- i don't see any snow there yet. has it already gone through? >> yes, sir. it's over with we have had anywhere from 5 to 9 inches. it's cold and windy this morning. wind chills down in the single numbers. you mentioned the all-time snowfall. kansas city 11 inches after they have the freezing rain that kept the on the runway for 11 hours. 11 inches second snowiest day and fourth snowiest calendar day over the entire time since the late 1800s. now let's talk about what is going on now. take a look at washington, the nation's capital. it has been snowing there all night long. some reports already of 4 to 5 inches. washington, baltimore, philadelphia, if you got flights into those three cities, those four airports, boy, check ahead
3:42 am
because already the three airports baltimore d.c. area have canceled over 400 and 25 flights. here is what is on the way. another 5 to 8 inches of snow just getting underway in philadelphia. most of it will miss new york city but a big storm for the mid-atlantic. many schools are closed here. closed today, likely closed tomorrow many kids. millions of kidsed from the midwest and plains to the east coast getting extended christmas break and the cold weather will stick around all week here, not hitting freezing, probably, until next weekend. brian? >> brian: all right. thanks so much. at least the worst is over. be careful when you drive. thanks so much. meanwhile this: president-elect trump slamming judge merchan's decision to sentence him in new york city on friday posting this quoted on truth social. >> the legal system is broken. the businesses can't take a chance in getting caught up in this quick sand. it's all rigged. this case against the political opponent, me. and, while da alvin bragg and

sean have sites set on trump they are ignoring rampant crime in new york city. i'm not kidding. desperate to brand trump as a convicted felon before his inauguration. is he joins us now. greg, you believe president bleefsz this is personal? >> oh, absolutely i think merchan is desperate to stain the incoming president with a label convicted felon and understand, brian, under the law trump is not officially convicted of anything until is he normally sentenced even though many in the media began immediately and incorrectly calling him a convicted felon when the jury verdicts verdict come in. that was the whole goal of indicting trump and putting him on trial. democrats assumed their politically driven lawfare campaign would destroy him. instead, you know, it had the opposite effect. voters saw it for what it was a corrupt weaponization of the law and it backfired spectacularly.
3:44 am
many americans recognize this was a sham trial a preordained outcome it. drove a lot of them donald trump and he won. >> brian: right. actually it dominated the election cycle it. just put to the side his whole primary challenge. and he -- you know, for better or for worse, he just dominated it. i know he wants it over with and doesn't want to relive it. think about the consistency or lack thereof. comes to new york city and alvin bragg another george soros d.a. who thinks criminal first. if you look at their misdemeanor and downgrades. look at this full screen. you had 2365 misdemeanors were downgraded from felonies. he had 200188 to a violation of 1193. you have a situation where serious crimes are downgraded when it comes to trump they put all these misdemeanors together to make it a felony. and put him on trial. >> one of the reasons why these
3:45 am
george soros-funded progressive district attorneys have ruined major cities in blue states. and alvin bragg is a prime example. if you are trump, a misdemeanor business records violation somehow becomes a phantom felony and in the end nobody actually knew what he was convicted of it wasn't a unanimous jury verdict the best we can tell, nobody really knows. a bedrock violation bragg goes after good samaritans like daniel penny or a bodega worker who dared to defend himself when he was attacked. and he goes after a politician for purely political reasons. this is what alvin bragg has brought to new york city. >> brian: so monday, today, the election gets certified.

friday, they want him looking like is he a convicted criminal. bottom line is that helped fuel the president's popularity. eventually, of course, he will probably appeal it. said you need the conviction in order to appeal it. so maybe this is a painful part of the process that ultimately would lead to his exoneration. thanks and you write about it on foxnews.com. thanks, gregg. >> my pleasure. >> brian: straight ahead first 100 days banning transgender athletes in women's sports. riley gaines on the fight to protect female sports. plus, demi moore wins first ever golden globe after 45 years in hollywood. her emotional acceptance speech coming your way. >> third nomination and firstt' win shs e told me on the red carpet that and he fumbles. -owe'-

this bill. what was your reaction when you heard that? >> well, unfortunately, i think it's well overdue. the fact this is an issue. and the fact it has to be legislated on disregarded common sense over the past four years. that's exactly what this legislation is common sense legislation. majority of americans are in favor of this overwhelmingly so as we saw, made clear on november 5th. i have said it many, many times. i believe people turned out to the polls to, of course, embrace donald trump, embrace his pa cabinet picks and embrace america first agenda. more so people turned out to the polls to reject absurdity. that's what the democratic party has become. very excited for this. i think, again, like i said, it's just long overdue. >> transgender issues were important factor for them concerned women for america an exit poll. the majority of americans
