you have president trump elected again. you have an acceptance of the results. congress was a vice president harris who lost the race overseeing the proceedings. i am happy with that. i'm not happy with the outcome. i'm happy that this is a continuation of the peaceful transfer of power. i am done with joe biden in this regard. the race is over. talking about him in many ways for democrats, i hope he does not mistake what i am saying. i think he is more accomplished and be thought of differently in 48 years. if he has any doubt about it, i would say the president who is still the president, think about what people were saying on this day for years ago about donald trump. you're unlikely to be elected president again. you certainly have an opportunity for that legacy to be thought of in a very different way. he should not mistake himself either. people thought he was going to be a transitional president. people thought he would stay for years and move on. when he could not come up with a great set of ideas and a great

vision for what the country could look forward to for the next four years even when he passed it onto vice president harris, democrats did not fare well. i look at that as the pbc election. prices, border, and culture. we lost all three of those. it is inherent in incumbent upon democrats now to root for this president and work with him where you can. there was a great interview with susie wiles in axios today. particularly democrats who have to work with her and work with the president. understand where there's room for disagreement. let that disagreement be principled and constructive. where it has to be loud, that it be loud. four years ago today, i did not think this was a day we would be seeing. the great thing about politics is all of us know -- having worked in the white house, everything is possible. it warms my heart to say i didn't think i would be saying to greg gutfeld a father for the first time on january 6, 2025.

attacks ever on u.s. soil. it was the pulse nightclub then 14 were killed with the new orleans attack. here is the good news going forward out of this tragic event. we have a commander in chief that is going to nullify the threat. there was an election day attack plant that was sorted. mike pompeo has a riveting story about 2017 inauguration day. donald trump is inaugurated at noon. the next day at 10:00 a.m., donald trump went to cia headquarters and look at the guys at cia and said crush isis and kill -- they did both. isis had territory of the size of britain. they controlled a third of iraq. 40% of syria and crushed the kneecap. i think what you're looking at right now as going to be a rare incident on the watch of donald j. trump. the one in germany and berlin, the christmas day attack, lived there 20 years. you have this attack. an army vet and that guy at las vegas. i hear everything and i don't

necessarily quarrel with much of it. are we missing other things here? maybe it is the fbi or other agencies that need to be thinking about this as well. >> senator kennedy from louisiana was on newsroom this morning and said mistakes were made by the mayor and the police chief. they will have to deal with t that. the thing is that we are dealing with an ideological struggle. there is not going to be some peace treaty that is signed. isis is not going to wave a white flag. the ideas are corrupt your mind. it's not just to get your territory. it is basically to destroy your way of life. they do not want you to live. they think you should die. the problem also is that you have this idea, lived your life with confidence. okay. i want to do that too. i want to be able to do that with confidence that you are going to be able to harden the soft targets. if you're going to have a big event where everyone is crowded around, you have to make sure

that this kind of thing can happen. that is where senator kennedy said that mistakes were made. these cities know exactly how to protect them. they are just not doing it appropriately. the other thing that really bothers me. we talked about this a year ago when biden first came in before he came into office, he said he was going to do this huge report of the department of defense to look into the biggest threat to domestic -- to our domestic civilians. in his mind, he said partly because of charlottesville that it was right wing extremist. the fbi has been saying this for years. there was concern about it. and yes, when the report came out in a dod under the biden administration basically. it. it was on page 17 of "the new york times." actually, never mind. that is not our biggest problem. our big problem is that you have people who can get radicalized online. they can do something very

quickly. they are also american citizens. this guy in new orleans comes with the protections at the constitution affords them. hopefully under the trump administration people rethink some things and have a big event coming up in new orleans in the super bowl. super security tight. everything is going to be fine. there is a reason people have a lack of confidence about going to these events. >> your thoughts about this? speak now this morning i saw in "the new york times" i get there that'll email for the thorough list of all the isis inspired attacks. it could have been from fox news. i had never seen such a thorough list of things. i thought it was so strange. it was suddenly okay. if you had done it, it would have been islamophobic. i sense there is a shift away from critical race theory, painting parents as terrorists to actual terrorism because the election is over. if you pointed this stuff out when your team was in power, that is wrong.

be true. the basic thing people ask in an election, do you see me, and do you hear me? people are seeing things on television in the news media about what is happening in our subways. i think dana made it as well. early on, six months ago, they should have been beefing up security in our subway, letting people see their commitment and see the outcomes of those things that we are doing. maybe people wouldn't mind as much spending a little more, paying more. that is what it is going to translate into. we have not checked any of those boxes. i am a believer that politicians should swing for the fences. trying to solve something here. they have gotten off to a pretty bad start. the people who are supposed to benefit from this don't agree with this. the people who are opposed to this can even imagine let alone envision how they are going to benefit from this. we are off to a bad start. we as a city because i'm paying these taxes as well. make my subway savior. that will make me want to be

>> are you kamala harris? do your duty. be a dad. >> "one more thing" is up next. ♪ ♪ military decoration awarded by the united states government. the tunnel to towers foundation and the congressional medal of honor society recognizes valor beyond the call of duty. britt slabinski, a recipient of the medal of honor himself, sat down with fellow recipients to hear their stories from their military service to their transition into the veteran community. it■s nothing we won, right? we're pretty vocal on that, saying, look, i didn't win anything like we're a recipient of this. you're going to highlight me for the day. we're four guys get killed. never crossed my mind about receiving the medal of honor. never. i was told i was being put in for it the day after the battle. the highest level of valor. you want to understand, why did these people lose their lives? why aren't they in my place? can't refuse it. we don't have the wear if you don't want to. they feel you earned it.

people think war ends the moment you get home. no. war sticks with you. for me, it was like i was in a fog. really? for. for several months. you're literally on the edge of life and death at any moment. and then 12 hours later, you're at home and you're going to birthday parties and you have to go back to assimilating that life. it's fascinating how many of our brothers and sisters. it■s a significant problem. end up on the streets. tunnel to towers is taking a leadership role. and specifically when i think about the veteran homeless population. we as an organization, we have gaps and it takes partnerships to come in and help us fill those gaps to ensure that nobody is left behind. and that's what tunnel to towers does. we just recently gave them our citizen honors award, recognizing all the great work that they have done. it's a fulfilling a promise to this nation, saying that, tunnel towers is gonna give you smart homes, pay mortgages. there's no level of recognition that rises to what is being done on behalf of those gold star families. and we're not forgetting you. never forget.
