's and mexico has to stop allowing millions of people to pour into our country. we are going to put very serious tariffs on mexico and canada because they come through canada
6:03 pm
and the drugs that are coming through are at record numbers. >> sean: imagine the legacy media watching that probably having a massive coronary. the gulf of america. it does have a nice ring to it. donald trump was only getting started. here's the message to panama, home to the panama canal. now under the influence of china according to many reports. take a look. >> it's a disgrace what took place at the panama canal. so it is under discussion with them right now. they violated every aspect of the agreement and they morally violated it also. and they want our help because it's leaking and not in good repair and they want us to give $3 billion to help fix it. they said why don't you get the money from china, because china
6:04 pm
is basically taking it over. they are at both ends of the canal. they are running the panama canal. they've overcharged our ships and our navy. then when they needed -- when they need repair money they come to the united states and we get nothing. those days are over. >> sean: donald trump also has big plans for another strategic area of the world. after floating an idea by greenland from denmark a few years back, trumps vision now could actually be a reality. donald trump jr. visited that island to share his father's plans. let's take a look. >> it looks like the runway santa claus woodland at. >> we are here in greenland. founded in 1721. that house with the red top was his original spot. this is where it all started out here. incredible scenery.
6:05 pm
super cool stuff. >> don jr. will join us with more details on his trip. first at today's press her, donald trump also had a message for the current president joe biden and his plan to destroy america's oil and gas industry. that which would make america the single most energy-rich country on the face of the earth and has continued attempts to sabotage the incoming administration. take a look. >> they take 625 billion acres and they essentially line market so you can't ever drill that again. we will be drilling soon. i couldn't believe the size of it. it's massive. remember that is worth probably 40 to $50 trillion. that's more than our national debt. he's throwing it away.
6:06 pm
he's taken $50 trillion. if we owe 35 trillion, he's taken $50 trillion of value and thrown it out the window. >> trumbull to get back, he will pay less for gasoline, diesel prices will come down. that means the cost of transporting anything you by and every store you go to will also go down. that will help inflation and the economy and lower interest rates and that will put americans on a better financial footing. the president-elect also addressing the plan to sell off border wall materials for mere pennies on the dollar in his final days in office. are you that bitter and angry? are you that petty are you got small. you know trump would buy a new wall and we would all have to pay for it. >> we won the case on the wall. they tried to sell it for five cents on the dollar and we had a
6:07 pm
judge that stop that they were already discarding the wall. we had a very smart judge that stopped it cold. i think he called for an investigation and he should. they were selling the wall that was exactly the wall that the border patrol wanted, that was designed by them. exactly, and very heavy steel. >> this is why the american people, this is why you went to the polls in record numbers. it's why america elected donald trump periods energy, creativity is out-of-the-box thinking, his commitment to fight for the american people, that means all of you. he's not going to be on the beach in delaware every weekend and even though donald trump is not back in office yet, the winds are starting to pile up. donald trump announcing a new $20 billion investment from a
6:08 pm
company out of dubai. this will create thousands and thousands of high-paying career american jobs in the midwest and the sun belt. facebook announcing an end to it's censorship campaign, shuttering the so-called fact-checking mechanisms on all of their platforms. this has been building for some time. you might recall the letter that zuckerberg wrote to jim jordan about a year and a half ago and he said he regrets giving into the pressure from the biden administration on issues involving covid and hunter's laptop and it won't happen again. make no mistake, we're on the precipice of a new day in america. freedom, justice for all. it is making a comeback. equal application of our laws making a comeback. restoring the fbi, our intelligence community to their former greatness, that will make a comeback.
6:09 pm
forget the doubters, the naysayers, the trump haters and the media mob, they are irrelevant because legacy media is dead and right now the sky is the limit. here with more on one of the president-elect's new ambitious plans. donald trump jr. it looks pretty cold in greenland, how cold was it? >> especially when you're used to florida it was really cold. it was in the 20s, very cold. the reception we received was as warm as could be. it was truly mind-blowing. people lined up, excited for the visit. had an incredible experience there. >> how did they get that hat in greenland? not exactly the easiest place to get it to. >> you can order anything. >> sean: >> it was not easy to get to.
6:10 pm
not the easiest place to get to but it was an incredible experience getting to hear from the people directly about all of the things they are looking to do. just amazing. part of denmark but they don't allow them to utilize their natural resources. so many of these kids coming up and telling us when we go to denmark we are treated like second and third class citizens. they tell us to go home. there seems to be quite a bit of racism there. they want to live their best life like we want to live ours. utilize the resources that we have in the ground. not surprisingly the danish media has spent a long time, ever since my father to -- started talking about this, creating very negative views about america to try to create the narrative and a sentiment against this from happening. from what i saw and we were there basically the entirety of
6:11 pm
the daylight there, everyone was really into this concept. they loved it and they love america. they love trump, it was awesome. >> sean: when you listen to your dad talk about greenland are panama are canada and he lays out the case its very reminiscent to me. when your father first started thinking about running for president, we would have these conversations late into the night and i remember the first time he said why doesn't iraq pay for their own liberation if we are willing to help them? i thought about it and i'm like nobody else thinks this way. if you look at the fact that american ingenuity, american engineers, american brainpower created the panama canal, why we ever give it away, why jimmy carter gave it a way god only knows why. if you look at greenland, for example,, the people are being
6:12 pm
treated horribly. i would bet the people would probably vote for an alliance with the u.s. and i think it would be in their best interest. or if you want to talk about canada, they don't have american money, donald jr. guess what, they are in trouble. if they don't have a trade deficit with us they are in trouble. >> i think all of these nations ... when america is weak, when we don't have leadership and whatever leadership we do have is feckless, the world goes to. it crumbles. dictators take advantage of it. people invade their neighbours. when america leads with resolve and strength and from the front, we can do amazing things. not just for america before our allies abroad. we watch that happen, we saw it under my father's first administration, we saw the opposite under joe biden's administration. the world is suffering because of it so a strong america is not just good for america, it's good
6:13 pm
for the entire free world i look forward to my father getting back into office january 20th. we need to take back all right for place as the leader of the free world. we have to lead accordingly. we have to be able to wield our economic might to actually get things done. i look at the democrats whether you go back to carter and the panama canal, they don't know how to utilize the economic might. and the strength associated there with to get things done around the world. there is no one better than my father to do that. the guy that authored the art of the deal is the guy that can make these things happen. when you don't utilize that, we write checks to countries that hate our guts and they hit our values, we write them billions of dollars of it a year and get nothing back. my father is going to change that. if we are doing anything it's going to be a great and symbiotic relationship where all the nations on our allies and it's going to make the world a better and more prosperous and safer place. >> there's a lot that your father can do on his own.
6:14 pm
he will do a lot on day one and on day two. there's a lot that he will need congresses help on. we have a small majority in the house. we do have a majority but we do have some liberal senators that we have to be concerned about. to what extent do you have confidence in the ability of the republican party, knowing that they all have their own agenda, 535 total, to actually adopt what the mandate that your father set up and if you keep it simple you secure the border, you get rid of criminal illegal immigrants that did not respect our laws and sovereignty. you restore law and order. you refund the police. you make us energy dominant. you build up america's military so we and the gap of vulnerability that your father is inheriting. these are simple, basic, fundamental things. lower the size, scope and limitations of government like
6:15 pm
they want to do. do you feel republicans will go along with all of that? >> i hope they do. the reality is we have a majority in the house, albeit slight, and in the senate because of my father. it's because of his policies and because of america first that we have that. you factor that in with what we saw happen in the first week of this new year wear you had multiple terrorist attacks on american soil and that is the mandate. republicans have to get on board and stop playing their washington, d.c., nonsense games. they have to understand that the american people overwhelmingly voted for my father, the america first agenda. that's why we won all the swing states. that's why we won the popular vote and why he got some of those people that would've struggled over the line. they have to understand that my father's agenda is the agenda that america wants and they voted for. we've seen what's happened over the last four years, those things are now manifesting themselves in the form of terror
6:16 pm
attacks on american soil. we need to confirm his cabinet and get those people going. the games have to stop or those people should be primary posthaste. >> sean: donald trump jr., thank you. exciting. tonight troubling images continue to pour in from the pacific palisades in southern california. evacuations are ongoing. the fire continues to rage. we have updates coming up straight ahead. join us now with more on tonight's top story, texas senator ted cruz. so republicans now have the house, there was an 80% prediction that republicans would lose the house. they have a slim majority. mike johnson will be speaker, john thune as majority leader. are you confident that this agenda will get done, i know you got into it a little bit with my colleague over one bill or multiple bills, where does it stand now? >> i am confident. we have to deliver results.
6:17 pm
he was exactly right, there's a clear and unequivocal mandate from the voters and we have to deliver on it. we've been given republican-controlled. we can't wasted. if you look at the elements of the trump agenda. i'm confident we will secure the border beginning on january 20th. joe biden broke the border and on january 20th, catch and release is going to end. we will see in january and february of this year the illegal immigration numbers plummet. we are going to see congress, we're going to pass major legislation supporting security -- securing the border, hiring more border patrol agents, investing in assets like aircraft and drones and infrared we are going to provide the statutory backup for trump's leadership. we will secure the border. when it comes to inflation
6:18 pm
there's a clear mandate from the voters on inflation to turn it around, a big part of the cause of inflation has been joe biden and the democrats wore on energy that is going to end on january 20th and i believe congress is also going to pass legislation enhancing energy production in the united states which will lower costs not just at the gas tank but also in the grocery store, the department store, everything you buy, energy is a major driver of cost. there's also a mandate to end the politicization of the department of justice and the fbi. unconfident we will get that done. i believe everyone of trump's cabinet nominees will be confirmed by the senate. that is critically important and there's a mandate to end the wars to defeat our enemies and stand with our friends. i think there is a very real possibility that we will see the hostages in gaza released on or
6:19 pm
before january 20th. you go back to 1981 win ronald reagan was sworn in. the day he was sworn in i think we will see that again either on or before january 20th because hamas and hezbollah and iran, donald trump scares them. the message he gave that all will break loose, that was an incredibly important message and one that the democrats are incapable of giving because they don't believe it and they wouldn't follow through on it. >> sean: what you make about vindictive joe and selling off parts of the border wall and putting a more -- moratorium in place on drilling and fracking. >> it's grotesque. i've never seen an outgoing president do what joe biden has done in the last two months. is demonstrating absolute contempt for the american voters and contempt for democracy. everyday what he is trying to do , is tied donald trump's hands
6:20 pm
and prevent him from carrying out the mandate the voters gave him. whether it is taking 625 million acres of offshore drilling and trying to ban the drilling there which is stealing from the american people whether it's trying to sell off the border wall, whether it is signing contracts with government unions, giving them the right not to have to show up at work, but to stay at home and pretend they are working, are whether it is granting pardons that are just shameless from hunter biden 2:30 seven murderers on death row removing them, to releasing terrorists from guantanamo. he's demonstrating and arrogance the democrats love to strut around like peacocks. this is showing an absolute contempt for democracy. >> can the economy, energy and borders be done in one reconciliation?
6:21 pm
>> can make sure. i support whatever gets it done. i think doing it all in giant bill is going to be tough and i think there's a very reasonable debate about what would be more effective. if we took up a reconciliation bill quickly and secure the border, we could unify republicans and get a quick win and then we've got to extend the tax cuts. we are going to do that. we're going to make it bigger and bolder. i believe congress will pass my no taxes on tips bill and will put it on president trump's desk even before reconciliation happens. >> sean: i don't want the low-hanging fruit and that means the hardest stuff comes later. the longer you wait the harder it will be. that's my little bit of advice to the people in d.c. great to see you. will me come back, shocking images tonight out of southern california. up to 30,000 people now evacuating because of this massive wildfire.
6:22 pm

>> sean: this is a fox news alerts, a dangerous situation developing in southern california were a few days of extremely high, basically hurricane-force winds are expected to slam the entire region, a place were it is not rained for several weeks. fire risk is always high. these conditions make the risk much higher as you can see right there on your screen. one large fire has broken out in
6:27 pm
the pacific palisades neighbourhood of los angeles, sending thousands fleeing for their lives as flames are engulfing the hillsides near the homes there. structures have been destroyed. joining us now is chelsea edwards. it looks horrible from here, i assume there is winds. >> that's exactly what we're dealing with. the word to describe what we are seeing here tonight is just apocalyptic. we are along the pacific coast highway, we watched several homes burn over the last couple of hours. not far from where we are standing on sunset boulevard is a scene that looks like straight out of a movie set. about 100 cars wear people fled because the flames were coming down the hillside so quickly. they got out of their cars and emergency personnel had to take a bulldozer to just bulldoze them out of the way. they are on either side of the street now. you see these cars scattered about as they try to make room
6:28 pm
for people to evacuate for emergency personnel to get in and out. we are seeing scenes like this all over this very nice neighbourhood here. dozens of homes have gone up, no final account as of now but people just evacuating in every way they can. up in one of the communities they had people who were on one side of the fire, the fire jumped the roadway and they told everybody to go back to their homes and shelter in place. you can imagine how terrifying that must have been for the residents were told to go back to where the flames were encroaching on their properties and then weight until they got the order to come back out. those residents were able to be escorted out not very long after that. they were driving to come back down to get out of there. they looked like your relief to be getting out of that situation but this is still... we are going to see scenes like this again and again. these were homes that were
6:29 pm
standing here. now there's nothing left. we are seeing the structure burn a little bit south of where we are standing. at one point it jumped and was on this side. there's nothing to burn on this side. it's an area with... there's nothing left to burn wants the fire does what it's doing here. tragic situation for so many people. i spoke to one gentleman who says this is one of his homes. he's watching and utter disbelief as his livelihood is going up in flames. >> sean: i can see right over your shoulder you say there's nothing to burn but you see little brushfires that you can walk to in less than a minute. if there's anything to burn that fire is spreading far and wide up very quickly. pretty frightening, stay safe out there. our prayers are with the people losing their homes. thank you and biden continues to make one head scratching decision after another on his
6:30 pm
way out of the white house while putting your national security at risk. earlier today, he's now looking to swap a guantanamo bay prisoner with the taliban just one day after releasing 11 other detainees. he got nothing in return. arkansas governor tom cotton. senator not only did he release these 11 people, got nothing in return for it. one of them apparently was usama bin laden's bodyguard -- bodyguard is not true? >> three of them wear his bodyguards so it's hard to argue that these were just innocent goat herders rounded up by the american military 24 years ago. they are the worst of the worst. joe biden release them for nothing. they're going to the same place in the same program were obama released 30 guantanamo detainees
6:31 pm
in his final years. 29 of them went back to their home countries with no accounting for their whereabouts for all we know, they are back threatening americans. another stepper joe biden to add to his sorry legacy of coddling america's enemies and endangering our people. >> we lost 2977 american that day and i remember it like it was yesterday. can you explain the logic behind it? if you are going to release them, may be get something in exchange, may be there are americans you've could've gotten freed in the process, why not get anything? >> i don't think it is expectable. it's consistent with the democratic mind-set going back to the early days after the 9/11 attacks. they've been criticizing guantanamo bay and trying to close it and bring these terrorist to american soil to give them the full set of rights that any person present in the
6:32 pm
united states has. a lot of the lawyers working in the white house and the department of justice, they are the ones that were suing the federal government on behalf of terrorists during the bush administration and during the first trump administration. what you think they're going to do in two weeks? they are going to go back to representing terrorists again and suing the federal government, taking the side of those who have american blood on their hands. >> sean: kamala ran and said we must have the courage to never save radical islamic terrorist. if you can't speak the truth, one of the reasons i think she lost. great to see you, happy new year. president-elect donald trump is already sending messages to adversaries around the world. earlier today he issued a strong warning to hamas if every hostage is not released.
6:33 pm
take a listen. >> if those hostages aren't back, i don't want to hurt your negotiation. if they are not backed by the time i get into office, all will break out in the middle east. and it will not be good for hamas and it will not be good for anyone. that's what it is. they should have given them back they should have never taken them. they should have never been the attack of october 7th. people forget that. >> sean: joining us with reaction, incoming special envoy for the middle east, he's negotiating with them as we speak, thank you for being with us. let's start with what the president said. all will break loose if those hostages are not back. i don't want to hurt your negotiation. if they are not backed by the time i get into office, all will break loose in the middle east. i think one thing the world
6:34 pm
believes is if donald trump says that he means it. how are those negotiations going? >> i think they're going well. thanks for having me this evening. i think they are going well. i would also tell you that it's the president's strong stance, his certitude in asserting that all will break loose that is moving people. i think we should of how to deal ten days ago. but hopefully we've got some people really doing god's work at that negotiating table. the prime minister of qatar, the israelis have dug in. everybody wants to see this happen. so i am hopeful it happens before the inauguration. and if it does happen it will be in large part because of the
6:35 pm
president's directive. >> sean: you have a fairly high level of competence that you can get the deal done? >> maybe call it aspirational. it's been going on for too long. you have to agree. the hostages should never have been taken. it should have never happened. but you have these families that i talk to are the president talks to, he doesn't refuse a single telephone call. he gets on the phone with the families, he's talking to them, it's harrowing to listen to. as you know, i lost a son, i lost a child. these parents think about this everything on it when they go to sleep. we have to get them home. it's the american hostages, it's all the hostages. they are living in terrible conditions and it's time for everybody to come back. there will be plenty of palestinians who will be
6:36 pm
released as a result of this and they will go home to their families. so i think this is something that the world needs to see. we need this moment. >> sean: one of the successes of donald trump's first term was he put together a coalition. it was the u.s., it was israel, it was the emirates, jordan, egypt. all standing against iranian gemini. if you look at all of the proxy wars that are going on in the middle east, they have one common denominator and that is iran. we keep reading that the iranians and their radical... on the verge of getting nuclear weapons. to me the world cannot risk them having those nuclear weapons. is that part of a strategy that has come up?
6:37 pm
>> we've all heard the president's position on nuclear. he will not allow a bomb to be gotten by the iranians. it's not going to happen. we're not going to that place. we aren't going to have a nuclear arms race in the middle east. i worked for him and i happen to believe in the policy but it's's directive and we are going to him permit that policy. hopefully we can solve it diplomatically in the president is all about solving it diplomatically if that's possible and if people are going to adhere to their agreements. but if not then the alternative is not necessarily a good one but we are not going to allow any weaponization happening. >> sean: i hope they are hearing trump loud and clear. i can tell them with 100-degree of certainty that he means what he says.

6:43 pm
the pch. you can see there is no cars aside from emergency vehicles. on the opposite side of this highway you can see flames and they've been creeping towards the highway for the past hour are so and just on the opposite side of those flames, we watched fire ripped through a heavily populated area of the pacific palisades. we are hearing all types of reports and seeing all types of video of fire destroying homes and structures in the pacific palisades area. we watched some go up in flames earlier this evening. intense wind right now. the winds are feeling these flames, carrying them great distances. we are watching these embers being blown into the wind, into the distance, lending who knows where. there was a red flag warning earlier today. authorities warned that there winds that we are experiencing right now could lead to the worst-case scenario of a rapidly expanding fire that began at
6:44 pm
10:30 in the morning, still spreading here. >> sean: our prayers for the people in l.a. tonight. we will continue to monitor the story only long. the left is not giving up on its latest law fair against donald trump. a new york court denied donald trump's request to delay sentencing this friday and that falsifying business records phony trial and in florida a federal judge temporarily blocking special counsel jack smith and his effort to release a report containing all of his one-sided allegations against trump without a rebuttal in this long since dismissed case, even though that case is long dead gonna know very. smith of -- wants to say everything he would've said during trial just in written form, without a response. let's get your reaction on both cases.
6:45 pm
>> it's the incorrect case in new york. it's the correct case in florida they earlier declared that jack smith was unlawfully, illegitimately appointed so it stands to reason that his investigation is -- his findings and his report are also unauthorized and should not be released. let me say this. i think it is now incumbent, we are at an inflection point. it's incumbent on the incoming doj to open a comprehensive investigation into the law fair campaign by jack smith, alvin bragg, it is no coincidence they all launch the cases right after trump announced his candidacy. their goal was to weapon eyes the law to defeat him at the ballot box. there is credible evidence that they worked in concert, coordinated their assaults,
6:46 pm
documents show nathan wade visited the white house twice. the chief prosecutor resigned to prosecute donald trump. there's evidence that smith and the fbi doctored photos. if laws were broken, prosecutors should be prosecuted. one of the options of the statutes called conspiracy against rights, deprivation against rights is a crime for people to conspire, to deprive or injure someone's constitutional rights. running for office, the right to vote. the current doj has brought such a criminal case involving a presidential election. i think the new doj could do the same again against these law fair conspirators. >> sean: technically you are not a convicted criminal until you get a sentence. that also allows for a real appeal. and a back doorway, maybe that might not be a bad thing for the
6:47 pm
president. >> what they want is a hunting trophy with donald trump's head. they want to say they have a convicted felon. even if he gets appealed and he winds the appeal they can still say at least for a period of time, 34 convictions. 34 times zero equals zero because there is no case. i have never seen a case like this in the united states and rarely in any other countries. we make up a case and you base it on testimony which is constitutionally not subject to being used in a case. but they don't care. they want that trophy. they want, even if it's only for a few days to be able to say a convicted felon, he's been sentenced 34 charges. they know it will be reversed on appeal but that's why generally
6:48 pm
it would be a good idea to let the sentence go forward. in some respects... i met with donald trump on saturday night. we talked about this. he understands this game and he knows that the only purpose for this, nothing to do with the law. it has to do with trying to paint him in a negative way as a convicted felon, as he assumes the presidency so that he's weekend in the eyes of the world this hurts america as much as it hurts the republicans are donald trump and that's why every american whether you are for are against trump should be against this abuse of law fair. >> sean: will me come back you won't believe what the biden administration might ban before donald trump takes office and we are monitoring the wildfire in los angeles. it's out of control and we will continue to update you throughout the night.
