reporting from there for the last two days for breitbart news. the scale of devastation is unimaginable. and you were just reminded over and over again how amazing it is that people survived. that's because people helped each other. they gave each other lifts. neighbors put fires out at each other's houses if they could. people had to step up and take leadership. and the reason i believe palisades will be rebuilt better than before, is because of that character. that's the palisades spirit. our government was completely awol. >> laura: newsom found time though to attack trump during this crisis. watch this. >> president-elect chose to attack you, blaming you for this. >> it's -- one can't even respond to it. this guy wanted to politicize it. i have a lot of thoughts and i know what i want to say. i won't. i stood next to president of the united states of america today and i was proud to be with joe biden and he had the backs of every single person in this community.

trump while claiming he is not making this political. he is galling in that special session of the state legislature to authorize $25 million of spending in money we don't have not to take care of the wildfire victims. but to trump proof california. take care of a president or attack a president who hasn't even taken office yet. this is not just tone deaf. it is criminally negligent. he has demonstrated to the nation that he is absolutely incapable, out of touch and simply just does not care. he stopped even pretending to care at this point. and that is what is really concerning right now. we are hearing for the first time people who really loved newsom. the few remaining people who supporting him says he needs to go. >> laura: residents are growing more furious by the moment. one woman confronted gavin newsom today. watch. >> will you tell me -- i'm not going to hurt him, i promise. >> literally talk to the president right now specificaly answer the question for what we can do for you and your

we want to get along with the democrats. i'm trying to be nice. we are going into a new term. it's going to be a great time for -- i'm going to call it the golden edge. i believe we have a chance at the golden age of america. i have to tell you look at the crime it's all on the shoulders of democrats and the way they ran their states. same people same everything, but you people these people in those states you wouldn't have crime like that at all. >> peter: we have been watching over the last couple of weeks a lot of ceos, including some censored you four years ago have been coming down here basically to kiss the ring. did think cha they change or diu change. >> well, maybe we have all changed. i think they have gained a lot of respect. they looked at the mandate we got. as you know we won the popular vote as i said. we won all seven swing states. well, if trump would win -- i had to win three. because i had a lot of early voting going on. and we had to win three and we won all seven. we won them by a lot. we didn't win them by a little.
4:48 pm
we won them by a lot. we won the popular vote by a lot. i think that had an effect. i think it's also like let's get something done. you look at what happened with facebook today and yesterday what they announced. that was a big concession from them. i mean, they went from the -- i call them the unlock boxes. they call them lockboxes. i call them unlocked boxes because they seem to be unlocked a lot of times. you went from the unlocked boxes into a statement yesterday that is really talking about free speech. what a difference that is. and so we appreciate that. but, i think they have gained a lot of respect. we have had everybody, jeff bezos came, bill gates came. mark zuckerberg came. many of them came numerous times. the bankers have all come. everybody is coming. i haven't had anybody saying anything bad about me. i'm not used to it. but,. [laughter] a lot of it is respect. i think they respect the republican party. the republican party has become a much bigger party. it's become a party for the
4:49 pm
worker. you know, if you look at all of the union votes that i got and when i say i, it's really all of us together because it's a whole thing. but, we won the teamsters. we did great with the auto workers. we did -- you know, all heavily union. and nonunion states we won by a lot. florida is an example. we won by millions of votes. highest vote ever gotten and so it's been a great period of time. >> a ton of world leaders have called you as well. we understand still no call with putin. is that a day one or week one. >> he wants to meet. and we're going -- we're setting it up. president xi, we have had a lot of communication. and we have a lot of meetings set up with a lot of people. some have come, but i would rather wait until after the 20th. >> peter: when you say meet with putin or meet with xi. do you want to have some kind of a summit or come here. >> to be determined. but, president putin wants to
4:50 pm
meet. he has said that even publicly. and we have to get that war over with. that's a bloody mess. soldiers are being killed by the millions. i looked at some very graphic pictures yesterday. the soldiers that are being killed. you know, it's a flat field. the only thing that stops a bullet is a body. these are very very very frat land. soldiers are dying and dying by the hundreds of thousands and not to mention the towns and cities which were largely demolished and a lot of people. big surprise and very unpleasant surprise how many people were killed in that war. it's much higher than the press is reporting. you know, when a building comes down. these are big buildings. two and three blocks long. different kind of construction. long and not that pal in many cases. about you they are 20 stories. when a building like that comes down and they say nobody was
4:51 pm
injured. no, no. a lot of people were i would can. i think the numbers are going to be much higher. and that's a war that would have never happened if i were president. and it's a war that i'm going to try really to stop as quickly as i can. the number of people dying on daily basis and i get the reports every single day. and largely soldiers at this point. but the number of people, both russia and ukraine, it's staggering. >> peter: when you threatened tariffs on canada a couple weeks ago. justin trudeau rushed down here and wanted to major nice. he is on the way out. is that what you wanted. >> i didn't think he was going to quit. you probably saw the numbers. look, i called him governor trudeau because they should be the 51st state, really. would make a great state. the people of canada like it. they would pay lower taxes. they have virtually no military. they have a very small military. they pay less than 1%. they are about the lowest payer in nato. they are supposed to pay much more. they haven't been paying.
4:52 pm
a lot of them a lot of problems. and i was with wayne gretzky i said wayne would you like to be the governor of canada? i can't imagine -- i can't imagine anybody doing any better than wayne. wayne was not too interested. but,. [laughter] but i think he probably would have liked like statehood. is he a great one we call him the great one he is a great hockey player. i will say this. i think, you know, it was stated pretty strongly a couple of weeks ago about canada and people lawched and now they are all saying well, it's very interesting. we are subsigh dyeing canada $250 billion a year. we have massive deficits. they have taken about 20% of our car business. i would rather do it here. we could put tariffs on. we don't have tariffs on them yet any other states that does
4:53 pm
cars and we have a lot of them. we don't need canada for that we don't need canada for lumber because we have big forests that we have not utilized. in some cases they are protected, which i can take that protection off. take down a tree and grow a better tree that's pretty common. we don't need anything. we don't need their fuel or energy or oil and gas we don't need anything that they have i said to trudeau why a are we subsidizing you $250 billion a year? he said i really don't know. and i said well, i don't know either. i said what would happen to canada if we didn't? he said canada would be obliterated if that happened. i said then canada should be a 51st state. and that's where we are now. >> peter: story kind of disappears out of very suddenly. do you have any idea whatever happened to the drones? >> what happened to drones? >> peter: you said you knew --
4:54 pm
you thought the government knew what happened to these drones. >> i don't know they are over bedminster a lot. i'm going to give you a report on drones about one day into the administration. because i think it's ridiculous that they are not telling you about what is going on with the drones. it's not only with me, glen was telling me today in virginia they have drones all over the place, too. and nobody is reporting it. one quick comment we are home to the largest naval base in the world and quantico and we house a lot of the seal teams and have a huge national security infrastructure. and now for two years running we have had drone incursion over secure airspace and we still don't know why. i think that's absolutely unacceptable. i think president trump and the new leadership coming in, i think will work diligently to understand who is behind this
4:55 pm
what we do to stop the surveillance of our infrastructure. >> i can say this while we were dealing with a terrorist attack in new orleans, we had drones being flown over our nuclear reactors in louisiana. and we brought that attention to them. we have been asked the faa the ability to mitigate drones. it's signature on some brew cratsd' desk. that's real. >> nobody knows. they don't want to talk about it. go ahead, governor, you were going to say? >> i was going to say we have drones in wyoming flying over our infrastructure as well. it's incredibly frustrating that we not only have no way of knowing what it is but nobody knows how to deal with them they don't want to talk about it. that could be us sending drones. i hope that's the case. us doing it and doing research and maybe they don't want to talk about it from that standpoint. i hope it's not an enemy. we will find out on the 21st. the day after give me a little
4:56 pm
time for the inauguration. shortly after we will give you a report on it. tell you exactly what it is. they know and it's very strange that they aren't talking about it. peter, thank you very much. does biden do -- i mean does he do this kind of a news conference? >> peter: this is my longest ever interview of a president. >> yeah. well, the longest ever before this was one question and rush you out of the room. thank you very much. thank you, peter. >> laura: went to the test pattern. that's a new one. all right, joining me now, kevin o'leary, chairman of o'leary ventures after that wide ranging conversation with steve doocy's son, of course, peter, who was the pool reporter at mar-a-lago tonight. kevin, trump spoke a lot about canada becoming the 51st state. now, i know you met with president trump in the last few days. your reaction to what you just
4:57 pm
heard? >> i always tell everybody and you know this with certainty. i have been listening to trump for 12 years. everybody has. he is bombastic. is he controversial. and you have to learn, as i have, to differentiate the signal from the noise. so, there is a lot of noise in that. it's -- ha ha, it's interesting. it's controversial. but, the signal is there is an economic opportunity. and, you know, when i try and buy a plant or equipment and i go in to a state and i'm going to buy a manufacturing facility and they tell me it's worth $200 million. i say it's worth 20 million. we don't need your equipment here. and there is a rat running around in the boiler room and all that it's negotiating. i get it. i do it all the time myself. really what we are talking about. we talk about that deficit trump mentioned # hundred billion dollars. 188 billion is just the energy
4:58 pm
coming out of alberta. alberta has more oil than all of the united states. that's a union right there. i mean, that's an opportunity to do something incredible to strengthen both jurisdictions. then you talk about the currency, why isn't it common? we are trading all these commodities in u.s. dollars anyways. if you ask canadians hey do you want to sell your sovereignty, your identity, your passport, the answer is no, that's what the poll was. if you ask them if they want to explore an economic union that makes the strongest jurisdiction on earth, yeah, they are interested. i don't have to listen to pollsters. i have 10 million followers i asked them myself. they are interested. they want to hear more. that's what we are talking about. i think trump has an interesting idea on economic union. that's the signal. disregard the >> jesse: kevin, we have to talk about tiktok. because i know that you are
4:59 pm
interested >> laura: if this deal actually does not go through where china gets to keep it through bytedance, and interesting shenanigans going on behind the scenes about this. but you have a group of investors that you believe have the funds to purchase tiktok. tell us about it. >> yeah. i mean, it's a very simple binary outcome. we're going to have that hearing on friday, and the justices are going to decide whether they're doing hear this case based on free speech. the company has claimed there's no buyers that will buy without the algorithm. frank mccord and i put that in the market and we've made them an offer about six hours ago and said, look. we'll buy it without the algorithm. the justice says no, there is a buyer. so if the justices say, look, we're going to throw it back to the kind of executive, we're not to hear the case. it's not about free speech. the people have decided congress bipartisan basis has told you to shut it down
5:00 pm
by the 19th or sell it. xi erases $32 billion of american institutional money like that. [ snaps fingers ]. i think that's going to make a lot of people unhappy and have a much harder time to raise money in the future. just because he has a bad hair day. or the only viable option is frank and my offer which gives them a stay of execution for 90 days. if biden says, look there's a viable buyer here. because now you've got it, and he gives him 90 days, the next day, four hours later we're dealing with trump so i'm going to mar-a-lago again on the weekend. we've got to deal with donald. i need his help. >> laura: all right. kevin, we'll be watching. it's great to have you on as always. thank you very much for joining us. >> l. that's it for us tonight. continue to pray for the great people of california. follow me on social media. jesse is next. >> jesse: welcome to "jesse watters primetime." tonight -- >> what is the situation with the water obviously in pali
