6:00 pm
have you ever seen anybody gesticulate more than gavin newsom? he's even got a shoulder dip going, he's not even italian. we think. cathy from texas, avenue some better be careful he's getting dangerously close to doing the trump dance. they're going to be a lot of dances going on, and maybe i will run into them and we can have a flex off and maybe drink or seven. that's all for us tonight, dvr the show. if you guys dvr the show take a picture of yourself. send it in. it's my world, fly eagles fly. >> sean: welcome to hannity. we start with a fox news alert
6:01 pm
at this hour more bad news for california. dangerous wildfires are now back in los angeles as well as santa ana winds. fire fighters continue to battle that plays. he's on the ground, matt finn. it's been brutal. we've got another 72 hours of high winds and a lot of town in -- is in jeopardy right now. >> it so tragic that we are talking about these hurricane level winds returning here to southern california. we will keep you up-to-date on that over the next couple of days. its nighttime here right now, people are concerned about looting. police and the national guard have been beeping up blockades here and in the palisades area and i want to show you a picture i took a few doors down from where i'm standing. homeowners put up a big sign in the window saying homeowners are home, they have guns, be aware. that's the kind of feeling happening here in and around
6:02 pm
los angeles. not far i talked to a gentleman named billy, he says he's within the fire zone here. he's not leaving, he says he's acting like the neighbourhood watch. >> just knowing somebody's out watching you, the neighbourhood watch were they know somebody's watching them. they are less likely to do things. >> just a few hours ago the new district attorney here in los angeles announced charges against nine people for looting. at least two dozen others have been arrested so far. >> we will be checking in throughout the night and have a lot more on the failure of elected officials out in california. we start on a high note, less than seven days, one week from today, joe biden will be out of the white house for good. donald trump will once again be the president of our country.
6:03 pm
joe was leaving behind a colossal mess for president trump, americas second largest city is in ruins, more than 40,000 acres gone, filled with homes and businesses and schools. we have a death toll of 24 and going higher, over 12,000 structures have been destroyed and the fires continued to burn completely out of control. water remain scarce or completely unavailable. blame is running rampant and last week the l.a. fire department was sent out to battle the blaze without water, crucial fire hydrants were dry. a key reservoir was completely empty. taxpayer-funded reservoirs, five of them that were supposed to be built, the voters approved of this and a referendum, they were never builds. nobody informed of the firefighters. they were completely ignored. the budget was cut. billions set aside for wind turbines, over 650 million
6:04 pm
federal state dollars allocated to make the port of los angeles green, whatever that means. nobody had a backup plan. nobody was ready to go. nobody had water tankers lined up to save these neighbourhoods. nobody is taking responsibility, not the president or the governor or the mayor or the fire chief, take a look. >> did the city fail you in the department and our city? >> it's my job to stand up as a chief and exactly say justifiably what the fire department needs to operate to meet the demands of the community. >> did they fail you? >> that's why i'm here so let us get out -- let's get us what we need so they can do their jobs. >> did they fail you? >> yes. >> the elimination of our civilian pitch -- positions like our mechanics has and will continue to severely impact our ability to repair apparatus. over the last three years it's
6:05 pm
been clear that the fire department needs help. we can no longer sustain where we are. we do not have enough firefighters. i'm also requesting multiple budgets, interim budgets to show how understaffed, under resourced and underfunded the lafd is. >> sean: as the city's fire budget was just slashed by tens of millions of dollars, the city and state spent lavishly on libraries, green energy boondoggles, social justice programs, ai initiatives. it's a sanctuary state, a sanctuary city. untold hundreds of millions of dollars spent on illegals for their food, housing, health care, education. it's the highest taxed state and the entire country. they were not prepared for what was a predictable wildfire with predictable santa ana winds. the california legislature, they did just 50 million-dollar deal
6:06 pm
to trump proof the state of california. it's a great way to ingratiate themselves to the new president. meanwhile around l.a., the dry brush was not managed at all. the science of forestry, you can get a degree, it was ignored. the fire department was short-staffed, preoccupied with ... none of -- california's overpaid bureaucracy and political class did their jobs. none of the city's critical fire infrastructure and emergency planning was properly tested. the mayor was in africa when the fire up to despite an earlier forecast of heavy winds and the risk of wildfires and promised she wouldn't travel as the mayor of los angeles. the governor indicated it was not his problem. this is local governments. they need to figure out those fire hydrants themselves. the biden administration was caught totally flat-footed, completely unprepared.
6:07 pm
the people were failed by a democratic mayor, a far left bureaucracy, and by the way guess who's going to end up paying for the rebuild? you. this is a democratic president that can barely form a coherent thought. much less manage a major disaster. we saw that with hurricane helene. the people of north carolina are still struggling to this day. he didn't seem to remember that donald trump beat kamala harris in november. take a look. >> do you regret your decision to run for reelection? do you think that it made it easier for your present -- for your predecessor. >> i don't think so. i think i would've beaten trump, could've beaten trump and i think that kamala could've be trump and would've be trump. >> there's no the -- no other way to put this, joe biden is
6:08 pm
out of it, delusional, a cognitive mass. he just said that illegal immigration came way down when he became president. can't make it up, you decide. >> when i became president the numbers came way down. number 2, we had a circumstance where i pushed very hard for bipartisan agreement to put more people on the border. >> this is nowhere close to reality. his border bill was an amnesty bill. this is a complete and total delusion on his part. take a look at the numbers. you see that massive spike on the right side of your screen, that would be biden. but the delusions don't stop there. today he announced that america is stronger than ever in the world is a more peaceful place,
6:09 pm
maybe nobody told him there is war in europe and the middle east. maybe he forgot, take a look. >> compared to four years ago america is stronger. our alliances are stronger. our adversaries and competitors are weaker and we have not gone to war to make these things happen. we increased our diplomatic power. created more allies the united states has ever had in the history of our nation. i can report to the american people our adversaries are weaker than where we came into four years ago. just consider russia. putin invaded ukraine. he thought he conquered kyiv in a matter of days. the truth is since that war began, i'm the only one that stood in the centre of kyiv, not him. >> beyond a laughable, actually sad. a preview of coming attractions his farewell address is coming this week.
6:10 pm
a third-rate terrorist organization is still holding americans hostage if they are alive in gaza. new wars in europe and the middle east continue to rage and china, iran, russia, they are more hostile than they've ever been. they've been emboldened by the weakness and just remember according to joe biden, anything bad that happens around the world are here at home is not his fault. its climate change. climate alarmism. that's always the culprit. >> some in the incoming and administration are sceptical about the need for clean energy. they don't even believe climate change is real. they come from a different century. they are wrong. they are dead wrong. is the single greatest existential threat to humanity. >> no it's not. joe biden does not have a grasp
6:11 pm
on reality over the past four years while biden struggled cognitively. the media lied for him, the staff lied for him. far left bureaucrats have wreaked nothing but havoc on our country. they neglected the basics and focused on woken social issues. they sacrificed your safety and security for feelings of victimhood. they opened up our borders and allowed in terrorists. murderers,, criminals, cartel members, gang members. we have to find them and we have to send them home. they turned our justice system into a politicized, weapon iced arm of the democratic party on top of everything and now it will be up to donald trump, one week from tonight it begins and his administration to fix the country, restore the american dream, it's a heavylift, it won't be easy. fox news contributor and former speaker of the house newt gingrich. he has a new documentary coming out.
6:12 pm
it's called journey to america. details on my website. congratulations, great to have you. one week from tonight donald trump beat the odds, he beat the legacy media. beat nine years of smear, slander and besmirch men and he will be called president trump yet again. >> i hold my breath to get through seven more days of joe biden. every day he seems to find a new way to weaken america, to make trump's job harder. to assert things that are patently false. i think for the country's sake, the sooner we can get to that inauguration, the sooner we can wave goodbye as he goes back to delaware. the safer the country will be. until that happens i remain worried about what he may do in the next few days that will be truly disruptive. >> look at california.
6:13 pm
the highest tax state, they have all these new green deal boondoggles. how do you make the port of los angeles green with $650 million? billions set aside for wind turbines but we have fire hydrants in a state known for wildfires and high winds... and they don't have water. the reservoir was empty and then they point fingers at each other and then blame trump. explained that to me. >> i think what you see in california and chicago and around the country is you see the sheen of the machine gradually gets weaker, sicker, number, and less capable. and has a set of values that are weird so that paying for art is really good but paying for the
6:14 pm
fire department is bad. paying for whatever the latest idea that some left-wing not has is a really good thing but paying for polices bad. the result is all of this was avoidable. i'm confident that los angeles will be back just as chicago was after the great fire of 1871 or as san francisco was after the great earthquake of 1906. all this was avoidable. >> it's 2025. we understand how to prevent forest fires. we understand that you need to put them out. >> let me give you an example of how really stupid this is. the reagan library had goats that ate the shrubs and when they had a big fire in the valley, it didn't get to the library. because all of the shrubs that would've caught fire had been
6:15 pm
eaten by the goats. laguna beach right now has the same program. they have goats that eat the shrubs. this is not necessarily a high-tech trillion dollar problem. but when you have left-wing cuckoos who are incompetent and arise in an incestuous machine were who you know is more important than what you can do, you have a steady downward decline in the ability just to be competent. that's what's happening right now in california. >> this is wear the democratic party would take the country if they had their way. donald trump spoke about one big beautiful bill. senate republicans are talking about two bills. you feel very strongly it should be one. the consensus seems to be moving towards two. how can you do one or two and still get it right? >> i'm very worried and i'm
6:16 pm
happy to talk to republicans. i'm very worried that if they split the bills, the bill that really matters for the 2026 election is the tax cut, affordability, greater take-home pay and more jobs bill. that's the one that really matters. if we lose the house next year because the senate refuses to pass a bill in a timely way, this will be a disaster that will tie up the last two years of the trump administration just as nancy pelosi did after we lost. the house and senate leaders in 18 and 17 convinced trump to wait. they didn't pass the tax cut until december. it didn't have an effect in 18, we lost 40 seats. why the senate can't get its act together bothers me. i hope they will reverse themselves. if they fail to pass the tax cut by memorial day as it speaker johnson are by july fourth which i think is
6:17 pm
absolutely the last time, then we are drifting as a party towards i really bad 2026 that is totally avoidable. [simultaneous talking] >> the senate is going to stay republican in all probability. they don't have the same sense of urgency. a senators like to have multiple bites of the apple but on the house you need to have one big bill, about two and a half months of president trump for it. there are 13 democrats in seats that trump carried. another 24 -- 21 democrats that are in seats that got within 5%. if he hosts meetings and rallies in those districts, just as they did this last week with the laken riley bill they are going to get a bunch of democrats voting with us and we will pass the bill.
6:18 pm
>> sean: joining us with reaction, incoming deputy chief of staff for policy stephen miller. one night -- one week from tonight we will have a lot to talk about. if you come back on this program what will we likely be able to say that donald trump accomplished in his first few hours as president? >> i will be glad to come back and have that conversation with you then. one thing that president trump has been clear and consistent about this entire campaign is as soon as he gets into the oval office he's going to sign the most comprehensive border security package by executive order in american history. these orders will not only fully shut down the southern border, stop illegal immigration, begin the mass deportation of illegal aliens and criminals in our country, it will begin the process of eradicating the criminal cartel threat in this country. once and for all. systematically dismantling every single transnational street gang
6:19 pm
that is, murdering, maiming, attacking and otherwise wreaking havoc against our citizens. that will ensure that every single element of this government is committed to restoring our national sovereignty. state department, hope -- department of homeland security ... the president has also been clear he's going to drill. he's going to unleash american energy. he's going to get control of the federal government. the federal workforce. he's going to bring workers back to their offices. he's going to end the travesty which federal workers are pretending to work but are not actually working. he's going to make sure that the federal bureaucracy is accountable to the president and thus to the american people. he's going to stop sending taxpayer dollars overseas where it does not belong and he's going to stop funding radical left-wing ngos that hate america and hate the american
6:20 pm
people and he's going to stop the insanity of waist all across this federal government and he's going to fight to bring down inflation and to make life affordable for americans and so many other executive actions in the first day and week all throughout this presidency. >> sean: sounds like shock and all. first two days, how many executive -- executive orders? >> i don't want to say what number but in terms of total executive actions, in other words specific commands that president trump is delivering, there will be over 100 executive actions, commands to the bureaucracy to change their ways >> sean: changes coming and it's needed. not a moment too soon. >> trump is coming to save america. it's going to happen and it's going to happen next week. >> sean: we will be watching closely. gavin newsom tried to defend his horrific response to the
6:21 pm
california wildfires. we will explain. ripping joe biden to shreds in the long-awaited report on his investigation into hunter. that and more straight ahead tonight on hannity.

6:27 pm
b1 karen bass, gavin newsom are on defence amid california's devastating wildfires. they launched a fact-checked website to try to save face but it's a catch. it includes links to a democratic party fund-raising platform and when he's not soliciting donations for the democratic party, he has spent the last week deflecting blame to local officials and of course donald trump. i think you will be a great ambassador. we start with you. how do you make it, if you have empty reservoirs and you say that's up to the local people, if you have fire hydrants in a state known for wildfires and known for santa ana winds, how do you blame the local officials? how do you justify billions to ... for the l.a. port going green
6:28 pm
and not have a fire hydrant that works everywhere? can you explain that? >> i can explain that this is the way the left sees leadership. gavin newsom could have done all of these things to help prevent this horrific, awful disaster. he didn't because he was more interested in virtue signalling and placating to these green groups that are drifting off of the american taxpayer including in california. he's more interested in getting plastic straws and forcing people to drive electric vehicles that they don't want then he was focused on actually doing real governance which includes filling reservoirs and making sure that the state is prepared for wildfires. there are states that have to do this and yet he completely failed. this is what happens win virtue signalling and feel-good policies are put above logic and reality and what happened in california is just a cascade of
6:29 pm
failing progressivism, whether it's the wildfires and focusing on dti and cutting budgets. they can give money to the homeless instead of filling fire hydrants but also now you are seeing this looting happening because criminals in california have been able to run wild and victimized innocent people, even at the worst times. gavin newsom you know is trying to save his political career because the first thing he did was go on the pod brose podcast with the former obama aides and staffers to save his political career while l.a. was still on fire. he's interested in trying to have a future and so are the democrats supporting him. he's not really interested in solutions were making this better. >> the worst part of this to me is all of it was preventable. in california they are known for wildfires and santa ana winds. in my state its known that it has a lot of hurricanes. in florida you need category
6:30 pm
five storm windows and doors in most places, they have reestablished building codes if you are in condos to make sure that they are up to speed so they won't collapse in the midst of a cat five hurricane. that is simple, basic common sense. knowing they are predictable events that would happen. why didn't they prepare for this? b1 they've lost their minds. just look at their policies and what they've done. they've lost their minds. they don't seem to understand that they are responsible for the policies they put in place. what's most offensive to me is somebody who's been a governor for almost 11 years to watch and pretend that he has nothing to do with this. the worst thing that an elected official could do in the face of a crisis is somehow make it about himself, not about himself in responsibility, but about, i don't know, people didn't tell
6:31 pm
me the facts. they didn't treat me right. you stand up and you accept responsibility for the things that you could've done. you don't have to accept responsibility for the fire itself. his willingness to throw everyone around him into the fire and to not recognize the horrendous human suffering that these people of california, everyone in between have gone through and are still going through, that's what it is incredibly offensive. no public official should be this tone-deaf and stupid. >> now the l.a. fire chief saying city officials failed us, they expect water and hydrants, saying the firefighters want me to... and saying the lfd is underfunded and understaffed. a little too late. maybe ahead of time you might have wanted to retire if they didn't pay attention knowing that this would be the outcome.
6:32 pm
thank you. it seems like hollywood elites are finally waking up to the failures of liberal leadership. they said los angeles cannot continue with the status quo leadership. they went so far as to call the l.a. mayor karen bass a joke. robert left california three years ago, he lives in florida. he joins us with more. why did you leave california? i think you were there... >> thank you for having me and congratulations. my heart goes out to all my friends in california. they have lost their homes. i left california because the woke policies, the liberal policies in the schools that i saw encroaching on my kids, i have a 5-year-old who is my
6:33 pm
youngest. encroaching on their mental health in terms of woke as him and confusion. beyond that also the policies of gavin newsom when rick caruso lost the election, even though he went as a democrat for political reasons. he had good policies. i blame the left of hollywood. those politicians, gavin newsom, karen bass and all the politicians, we have to make hollywood accountable. because the politicians do what they do. we know that gavin newsom is what he is. he gave a billion-dollar contract to the chinese to do masks. we know that in 1990, p wilson wanted to have reservoirs in california but the left stopped it and a lot of that is the hollywood left that is bought and paid for, they go up to their and they talk with the
6:34 pm
hollywood elites and they get attention to issues. especially in california. larry elder was slandered by the people. he should have won that election for the governor . it's terrible what's happened. >> sean: if he ran today i would argue he would win. if kamala runs after i would argue the odds are very high that she's going to win. look at donald trump coming into office, i don't think republicans are going to appropriate funds to rebuild which i support for my fellow americans in california. there's got to be conditions along with rebuilding money if people don't have it in the conditions have got to be that you have to prevent this from happening again. take the money from the l.a. ports going green, take the money that you want for the wind turbines and maybe use that
6:35 pm
money to have fire hydrants that were maybe practice the science of forestry. maybe failure reservoirs and make sure everybody are on the same page. this is not complicated. >> the other issue that's shocking to me is that you don't have a society or culture that's in hollywood that wants to change. we have people that were voting for karen bass, gavin newsom comes along and they don't want to change. they don't want to move from their typical behaviour. even though we show the policies are wrong. i was one of the first... in 2015 and the blowback from the hollywood community, now people are waking up a little bit. america has been burning for decades, not just california. my heart goes out to all those people that lost their homes. it didn't have to happen.
6:36 pm
just cleaning the brush, how about desalinization plants, find some new technology. gavin newsom wants to have california to .0. single-family homes, you can now build multiple family homes. i think this is part of the wtf. there's a part of me that feels there is something much more nefarious going on, because it makes no sense. we had fires two years ago in california. 2018, malibu was on fire. a friend of mine left california after the fire. what goes on here, how can you not learn from that lesson? >> i tried to have conversations with gavin. he's resistant. he seems to have people around him that only think the way he does. no contrarian views, no openness. he's angry at elon musk and at
6:37 pm
donald trump. angry at critics and meanwhile there was a lot that could have been done that was not done here we appreciate you, thank you. earlier tonight the doj did release special counsel david weiss is highly anticipated report of the investigation into hunter biden. here to break it all down,... it is devastating to joe biden. we are going to see in the next week, i would anticipate he pardons his brother, anthony pouch e, liz cheney, penny thompson. you might want to add to the list, he should probably pardon himself. >> interesting to see and all my conversations with officials. joe biden... the others are clearly people that they are considering right now. this is a damning report because
6:38 pm
it says joe biden lied to the american public when he said his sun was a victim of political persecution. keep in mind, this is the same prosecutor who originally gave hunter biden the sweetheart deal which got scuttled when the irs came forward and told us it was political interference in the case. this is not a big conservative guy trying to win points on fox news, he's trying to tell the american people, your president as he's going out to the door, lied by saying his sun was a victim of political prosecution when he was treated like every other subject. he committed a crime, he traded on the family name, these are all conclusions in the report. he made millions of trading on the family name that he didn't pay taxes on and then joe biden tried to falsely portray it as something as -- >> sean: what was the worst part to you?
6:39 pm
>> i think the best part for the american people is that in the final statement of the united states government, it acknowledged that hunter biden committed a crime that his father tried to cover it up by lying and saying it was political persecution. and then he made millions trading on the family name. we started reporting on that. all of us who looked at these facts we were called conspiracy theorists, -- at the end of the day we were right. they misled us. tonight the final verdict of the united states government is hunter biden committed a crime, joe biden covered it up and there was no political prosecution. this was merited criminal activity that needs to be prosecuted. >> sean: appreciate the report. here now with more reaction with a brand-new book its called all the presidents money.
6:40 pm
he's the chairman of the house oversight committee, james comber. never once did i ever speak to anybody about their private business deals. interesting after the election, the national archives released more pictures of joe and hunter and foreign business partners. you chronicle in your book how joe biden spent most of his life making under $200,000 a year. yet he owns two multimillion dollar mansions. i would like to know how he got the money. and hunter's laptop does he not implicate his own father. half my income goes to pops. what account should be take the money out to pay for pops home repairs. then the pictures speak volumes. you chronicle all of this in your new book, how much money did they make, how much money did joe get and do you believe joe biden committed a crime based on the meticulously
6:41 pm
researched book. >> i believe joe biden committed crimes. he was the closer of the biden family influence schemes. we heard that. we have essentially heard that from devon archer. evidence would suggest that. they took in $27 million from adversaries around the world. they can't say i dated for the money. this is just suspicious wires from people in trouble in foreign countries, mostly adversarial countries, that they then launder through a series of shell companies and that -- and then give it to ten different family members including joe biden. we caught a quarter of a million dollars that went from an influence peddling scheme with joe's brother jim biden, directly to joe biden to make an account which was...
6:42 pm
that went into joe biden's account. we found through the investigation that hunter biden was paying for all of the accounting services for joe biden. we saw that despite joe biden saying there was a law between ... that they share the same law firm, they share the same cpa. the list goes on and on so joe biden was the person that would meet with these people that were wiring the biden family money and then days later , incremental payments would start coming from our adversarial countries into a series of shell accounts. this was a sophisticated scheme, it was always difficult to explain in a two-minute clip on conservative media but at the end of the day that book goes into detail, talks about who the people were, how much money they got, with the names of the different companies were that they wanted it through and
6:43 pm
according to whistle-blowers, the bidens never paid a penny in taxes on that. >> sean: how certain are you after all this investigative work, how certain are you that they got that alarming amount of money and who got the money and if they are saying they got the money, i would assume that they want to sue you and what do you say to the biden attorney and the family lawyers that might be after you because they don't like this report? >> they threatened me, they've harassed me. they threatened to sue and tried to put gag orders on me. about book, all the presidents money, goes into specific -- specific detail and there are footnotes and endnotes. more than any political book i've red. the purpose of all those was to show the evidence in the form of bank records in the form of depositions, in the form of emails that prove everything
6:44 pm
that i write in the book is legitimate with the millions of dollars that the bidens took from bad people in bad countries around the world and according to the whistle-blowers never paid a penny in taxes. hunter wasn't even charged for not paying in taxes for the money they used. his tax charge dated back to... the reality is biden kudo another $10 million or more in taxes. >> once he got his heart and he gave up his fifth them and writes. it could be used in any trial against joe but we will see if he pardons himself. let's see if my prediction ends up being right. when we back, the left they are -- their climate alarmism, you were not going to believe the latest level.
6:45 pm
they are going after char burgers. how do you cook a hamburger over an open flame? you can't even make it up.

6:51 pm
the liberal leaders of the city and state are refusing to accept any blame for their failures. instead they want you to blame the ultimate bogeyman, the great evil of climate change. as we showed you at the top of the show, joe biden says it is the biggest existential threat to the entire world. you are wrong. biden is not the only one spreading the message of doom and gloom. take a look at this unhinged tweet from senator ed markey. trump has been bought for $1 billion by big oil. we know what will happen. more fires, more climate disasters and death, what is he talking about? the l.a. fires are preview of coming atrocities. other liberal jurisdictions doubling down on their left-wing insanity. new york city now wants to require some major restaurants to install filters for charbroiled burgers. all because the city believes that commercial cooking is its
6:52 pm
largest local source of air pollution. outgoing core chair document cochair of the rnc lara trump. now they want to stop charbroiled burgers and wood-fired pizza ovens in new york. they want you to get rid of gas stoves, refrigerators, new air-conditioners. no drilling are fracking and we will be bankrupt in no time. what did they not learn about this election? are they that tone-deaf? >> you are exactly right. this is the kind of stuff that drove people away from the democrat party. people want to be able to wash their clothes and only wash their clothes one time. they want their washing machine to work, the dishwasher to work and grilling over an open flame is just about as old as mankind. this is the way that people have been cooking food forever and now they want to go after that. i can guarantee you people in
6:53 pm
new york city are more concerned with being pushed in front of a subway car are stabbed then they are about chargrilled burgers. this is the mantra of the left. these people cannot help themselves. you just referenced how no one wants to take any blame for anything in california. instead they are blaming climate change. i would really love for someone out there to explain to me how climate change is the reason that the reservoirs were dry, there was no water in the fire hydrants. was of the fact that climate change got rid of $17 million of the los angeles fire department budget, is that what happened out there or was it climate change that didn't manage the forestry properly? until we get back to basics and people can do things that make them happy in life worth living then they need to start to focus on those. this stuff is absolute insanity. to blame donald trump for it, that one is very rich.
6:54 pm
