10:00 pm
moments just getting! item hunter, kat timpf and ty tyrus! >> jesse: eagles game for a big win yesterday and johnny happened to be at the tailgate he was you that action tonight at eight. >> dana: february first i'm hosting this conversation about her book under his wings, in point pleasant beach you can look at the website are they, get tickets and i will be there! >> judge jeanine: have you ever seen it ratatouille? this is a sequel, ramey takes on the big apple, this rat in the city subway struggled old, running a large on open reese's peanut butter cups under the tracks, ticket back to his crib. >> dana: supersize me! that is all for us, have a great night everybody. tonight. >> it's sort of an indelible misinformation that he sort of
10:01 pm
manifested. it's words. it's a salad. it's made up. it's delusional. >> gavin's fighting misinformation. harder than the fires. >> that was just complete. not only misinformation, but it was racist. >> president biden has left us an absolute dumpster fire. >> one week to go, and old joe fights for his legacy. >> the democrats could go the way of the whigs. you know, parties do die off when they don't adapt. >> are the democrats on the brink of extinction? hulk hogan joins prime time. >> well, let me tell you something, brother. >> plus, people say eagles fans are a bunch of animals. are they right? oh, yeah. roof, roof, roof. >> looked like something out of
10:02 pm
a movie. >> fires were this close to the cars. >> i could barely see my hand in front of me. it was so frightening. >> my whole block is gone. >> how can you recognize anything? >> now all we have is the memories we created in these places. >> we were hoping that the house would still be there. but it wasn't. >> neighborhoods wiped off the map. homes reduced to piles of ash. every day gets more grim. and the death toll keeps rising. 24 are now confirmed dead and many more are still missing. forecasters estimate the damage to be more than $250 billion. this would be costlier than katrina, and the palisades fires are still only just 13% contained. wind gusts are predicted to kick up, and firefighters are bracing for explosive fire growth. this isn't over yet, and the looting
10:03 pm
isn't stopping. at least 29 fire. looters have been arrested, including these four fiends caught in santa monica. one thief breaking into homes in pacific palisades was dressed as a fireman when he was apprehended. nothing is sacred. jewels, precious heirlooms. even someone's emmy was stolen. and remember the guy with the blowtorch last week who was lighting fire to christmas trees and garbage cans? turns out he was an illegal alien. his name is juan. bandits and arsonists are preying upon this devastated community while it's still smoldering, and residents are gripped by fear and rumors. here's actress whitney cummings. >> this is a real text that i just received from a friend of mine about the fires. some of the neighbors caught a guy setting more fires on the back of our hill. they chased him away. they called 911. i think they caught the guy recently in woodland hills trying to put gasoline in sewers. it's happening all over.
10:04 pm
>> police haven't confirmed this, but there's a sense of every man for himself in southern california. some more fortunate families are hiring private firefighters. and actor david spade's announcing bounties on arsonists in california. >> and people are saying, there's guys lighting fires out there. make this worse. they just caught somebody. we're pretty sure it was lighting fires, walking out with a blowtorch. they let him go. so if you can find someone lighting a fire and you catch somebody and you can get the cops to bust them and throw them in jail, i'll give you 5000 bucks. so keep your eyes peeled and do what you can out there. >> the social contract has been shattered. the government isn't able to help the people it's sworn to protect. biden wrote a blank check and left on his legacy tour. no one knows where the vp is. kamala's home states california. she lives in la. they say she could be the next governor. it's like she disappeared. police just caught
10:05 pm
two sketchy men casing kamala's house in brentwood after someone called 911. here's the latest on what caused the fire. nothing definitive yet, but the washington post says the palisade's blaze may have originally started from fireworks on new year's eve. firefighters put it out, and it may have reignited days later. other reports say downed power lines might have sparked the inferno and arson hasn't been ruled out. the governor says he can't get a straight answer out of anybody. >> i want to get the answers and i'll be candid with you. i wasn't getting straight answers. yeah, i watched the press conference. i met with some of those leaders. we had my team start talking to local leaders, saying, what's going on? our state. they weren't getting straight answers. i was getting different answers. when you start getting different answers, then i'm not getting the actual story. >> the governor doesn't have a strong grasp of what's happening and keeps passing the buck to the locals, but he's out in front of the cameras every day. >> we're dealing with a myriad of issues. i was just talking to josh greene, the governor of
10:06 pm
down in in hawaii, who had some ideas around some land use concerns he has around speculators coming in. >> why is the governor shimmying around like that with a smile on his face? what kind of presentation is that? why does he look so gleeful when he's talking about land speculators? it's getting so bizarre that nbc is having to call gavin out for spewing misinformation. >> i don't know what he's referring to when he talks about the delta smelt and reservoirs. the reservoirs are completely full. the state reservoirs here in southern california that mis and disinformation, i don't think advantages or aids any of us. >> we do know though from reporting here locally, that that one reservoir that serves the palisades was not full. >> and that's exactly what triggered my desire to get the investigation to understand what was happening with that local reservoir. that was not a state system reservoir, which the president elect was referring to as it relates to the delta. and somehow connecting the delta smelt to this fire, which is a inexcusable, because it's inaccurate, also
10:07 pm
incomprehensible to anyone that understands water policy in the state. >> notice how gavin doesn't get into the details. empty reservoirs, reservoirs not being built, budget cuts, lawsuits to save the smelt. all that's true. gavin destroyed dams and then bragged about it. >> you know, the klamath river once supported one of the largest runs of salmon on the western united states. and for decades, dams along the klamath river blocked salmon from migrating, damaging our ecosystems and hurting native communities who rely on these fish. by removing the dams, we're helping to restore salmon, steelhead and lamprey populations we're restoring. get this 400 miles of historic spawning habitat, bringing life back to the river, supporting commercial and recreational fishing jobs, and honoring our commitments to tribal nations. >> california didn't have enough water and firemen to put out the fire. they had a five day warning about record wind gusts. the mayor was in africa. gavin newsom is trying to tell
10:08 pm
you that california was prepared, and it's all because of climate change. this is too big of a disaster to cover up. here's a free press reporter who just got inside the bone dry palisades reservoir. watch this. >> this was supposed to be the water to put out the palisades fire. this is the santa ynez reservoir. it's the water supply, basically, for the palisades. when they first started fighting the palisades fire, they ran out of water extremely quickly. wednesday, 3 a.m, they were basically out. and there's been a lot of talk on why this happened. so how long is this reservoir been empty for? since february of last year, there was no communication from the department of water and power to lafd that there was a water supply issue. the firefighters, when they started fighting the fires, no one informed them that the reservoir was empty. >> what's worse, misinformation or mismanagement? but the ladies of the view say it's racist to report on what the governor is doing. >> who i don't applaud is
10:09 pm
someone like jesse watters on fox news. this is what he said. he said he blamed l.a. fires on diversity. he said that california's woke politics and die are the reasons for the fires, because newsom has been tearing down dams, because native americans. but he called them indians, wanted some of the river back so they could catch salmon. and gavin didn't just knock down one dam for the indians. he knocked them all down. he knocked down four of the dams. i'm sorry. this stolen land, first of all, california's stolen land. second of all, that's part of what always happens. these dams. there's preservation of the dams. so that was just complete. not only misinformation, but it was racist. >> i didn't cause the fire, but it distracted the state from preparing to fight it. the l.a. water chief, janice quinonez, who makes three quarters of a million bucks a year, says her number one priority wasn't water. >> you call it powered by
10:10 pm
equity. and i know that it's been really important for the dwp to put an equity lens on everything. >> yes. yeah. and that's the number one thing that attracted me to this role. it's important to me that everything we do, it's with an equity lens and social justice and making sure that we right the wrongs that we've done in the past from an infrastructure perspective, and that we involve the community in that process. and this this utility is serious about it. it's authentic about it. and so i'm just super excited to be part of that movement. >> it's about priorities. the water chief was focused on dei. the mayor of la, karen bass, was in africa, even though she promised voters that she'd never travel internationally as mayor. and here she is in ghana while her city was getting scorched. and instead of fire proofing their state, california today held a special legislative session and trump proofed it. newsom just approved $50 million to resist
10:11 pm
trump. 25 million is going to protect biden migrants from being deported. so the illegal alien caught with a blowtorch lighting a neighborhood on fire. juan newsom is going to spend millions of dollars to stop us from deporting blowtorch juan. who? you're not going to believe what his excuse was for having the blowtorch. he said it was lighting up a joint. now newsom is calling for a marshall plan to rebuild la, so the city will be ready for the olympics with this rebuilding effort needing to take place, is l.a. going to be ready for all of those global events? >> my humble position. and it's and it's not just being naively optimistic. that only reinforces the imperative of moving quickly, doing it in the spirit of collaboration and cooperation. that's why we're already organizing a marshall plan. we already have a team of looking and reimagining la 2.0. >> you just said you're organizing a marshall plan for the rebuilding of california. what is that marshall plan? >> tell us about this,
10:12 pm
marshall. we're just starting to lay out. i mean, we're still fighting these fires. >> do you trust gavin to rebuild la? he never built a single reservoir, a high speed rail. they couldn't even build evacuation roads because bureaucrats sued to stop a pea plant from being stepped on a pea plant. the only thing gavin built was a $2 million toilet. these are the guys who think they can control the earth's temperature, but they can't even control a fire in their own backyard. did you know before the 1800s, california lost about 4 million acres a year to fires. but when americans arrived, they managed the land intelligently. and by the end of the last century, california only lost 250,000 acres a year to fires. but in the last four years, california is back to losing millions and millions of acres a year to wildfires. their stupidity has literally set california back centuries. the state that's
10:13 pm
fighting global warming the hardest is creating the most emissions. what do you think a week of this wildfire smoke is doing to the atmosphere? it's basic, common sense, fireproof. the power lines. clean up the underbrush. let cattle and sheep graze there, store more water and fix the fire department. and the waters are. liberalism is going up in smoke because it doesn't solve problems. it just creates them. by imposing radical ideology on everything. the central promise of liberalism is if you give liberals enough money and power, they'll create utopia. but voters have given liberals all of the money and power in california a supermajority, and it's literally on fire. so california has to fire these politicians and hire someone else. trump's heading to la after he's inaugurated, and he won't be focused on ideology. he's a developer. he just wants to get things done. will the la city council let him?
10:14 pm
>> i'm ready for him. we'll be excited to see him here. you know, to be in in pacific palisades, here in the city of los angeles, the san fernando valley and pasadena. altadena. we hope that he comes soon before the 20th. and i know that the mayor and the governor are working on that. and so we're very excited to see him here. >> liberalism is destroying paradise. if americans can just work together, we can get results. but we can't throw money at california without demanding they change their behavior. we can't be tearing down civilization and then rebuilding it over and over and over again. prime time is going to continue to pray for the victims. and if you want to donate, go to the red cross. they need all the help they can get. out. kick.com founder clay travis joins me now. so, i mean, we've had a weekend to kind of digest the gravity of this disaster, and it just keeps on getting worse and worse and worse. where do we go now? >> first, i love california.
10:15 pm
i'm fortunate to have gotten to spend a lot of time out there. there are many amazing people and they are reaping the choices that they made when it came to their leadership. let me hit you with a couple of things. that was a fabulous open jesse. california is the fifth largest economy in the entire world. the fifth by itself. what's the number one thing that i think democrats, republicans, independents would expect that any decent sized government should be able to accomplish. if something is on fire, they should be able to put it out. californians pay. and i know because i've paid some of these taxes, around 14%, roughly of their overall income to the fifth largest economy in the world. and look at these pictures a week in, they can't even stop the fires from burning. and what you hit. great wall street journal editorial when california was discovered, they determined that they were doing around 4.5
10:16 pm
million acres a year of wildfire. this is all natural. this isn't climate change. don't listen to them. thanks to great stewardship and the ingenuity of america, we drove that all the way down to 250,000 acres a year. now we're back to where we used to be because of all the awful choices the people in california are making. and you said they have one form of politics in california. it's just leftists competing against leftists to see who can move further to the left wing. and what we are seeing is they are destroying the progress and the people are voting with their feet. 1850 jesse to 2020 california gained population every year until then the last five years, according to u-haul, the number one state for people to be leaving california. i know in my own neighborhood here in the nashville area, suddenly there are usc and ucla flags everywhere. people who can leave are voting with their feet. they're fed up because
10:17 pm
they don't trust the government to be able to put out fires. and with gavin newsom and karen bass in charge, why would you let me also tell you this, jesse, congratulations. you got called a racist by the dumbest person on television daily, sunny hostin, for wanting what fires put out. it's racist now to try to figure out how to put fires out of white, black, asian and hispanic people's homes. i mean, this is where left wing lunacy leads. >> you know, you made such a great point. you have a supermajority of democrats in california. and when you have a two party rule, you know, you swing this way, you swing that way. we keep each other honest. we keep the extremes out of here. we both try to govern towards the middle. if you have these people out competing themselves, as you said, to go crazier and crazier left, this is what you get. this is what you get. can you turn this clock back? >> i think you can because i'm optimistic. because the country just voted for the popular vote for donald trump. and if i had told anybody that was ever going to happen a few years
10:18 pm
ago, everybody would have said i was crazy. sunny hostin would have clipped the segment talking with you and called me the dumbest person in television history. but people ultimately make the decision. when things get broken, they stop trying to pick the people who are making the breaking worse. right? it happened in new york city, where you're sitting right now. finally, people said, hey, we'll go elect a republican like rudy giuliani. things have gotten so bad. i think what people are ready for, i bet they wish they had voted rick caruso, even though he was just a different democrat. right? it's still two leftist running against each other, but i think they're ready for moderation. i think they're ready for competency. and this is what extreme wealth often can create. the idea that there are no consequences for the choices you make. that means you don't have to worry about competence. and right now, la has a moron for a governor, and they have an imbecile for a mayor. and that result is leading to the biggest wildfires we've seen in any of our lives. >> that myth was surely shattered as some of these homes worth north of $20
10:19 pm
million are just gone. so the best part, let me tell you, this country is i go, is that you? >> thank god we didn't put kamala harris in charge because at least we rejected that. you're right. >> all right. well, it's up to the voters to straighten this out. clay, travis, good to see you. breaking news on trump's inauguration. plus, johnny was at the eagles game. >> eagles going all the way this year. got right there. >> let's go birds. go! the super bowl, baby. >> still congested. nope. oh. >> new mucinex 2 in 1. saline nasal spray spray. >> goodbye. >> new mucinex 2 in 1. saline nasal spray with a gentle mist and innovative power jet spray. goodbye to congestion. it's comeback season. >> honestly, i was scared when i was told age related macular degeneration could jeopardize my vision. >> great. one more thing to worry about. >> it was all too hard to deal with in the beginning. but making a plan with my doctor to

it together and commit to it. nothing. >> joe drove the country into quicksand. now he's spending the last week in the oval saying he nailed it. >> a new era has begun. in these four years, we face crises that we've been tested. we've come through those tests stronger. during my presidency, i've increased america's power at every dimension trade, the border, afghanistan, russia, the mideast. >> biden has no regrets. do you feel more powerful than you did four years ago? the new era actually starts next week. >> i'll always be an optimist about our country, but i think that that optimism has to start with a bit of realism. and the real truth is that joe biden has left us a dumpster fire. donald trump is going to have to put it out, but he's good at doing that. >> the trump team's coming in hot this time. they know how washington works. they have 100 executive orders ready to rock on day one. and melania said it's a turnkey operation. >> the first time was
10:26 pm
challenging. we didn't have much of the information. the information was upheld for us from previous administration. but this time i have everything. i have the plans. i could move in. i already packed, i already selected the, you know, the furniture that needs to go in. so it's very different transition this time. second time around i think it will be an exciting four years. we have a lot to do and put the country back in shape. >> historians are calling trump's win a tectonic election a permanent shift in how people vote. that will be cemented in history only if trump delivers. revive the economy, wind down foreign wars and gut the bureaucracy with doge. and trump is off to a good start. unlike 2016, major corporate players are getting behind the president. here's jpmorgan ceo.
10:27 pm
>> listen, have you talked to him about tariffs? if you could talk to him right now, what would you say? >> i have not spoken about tariffs. i think you should read the art of the deal. you know, he's a negotiator. he lays out some very tough things and sometimes it works. >> your point is that you think it is a legitimate negotiating tool. absolutely. >> zuckerberg, who bankrolled democrats and censored trump, went back down to mar-a-lago for another meeting with 47. democrat senator john fetterman also made the pilgrimage. trump just said this, quote, it was a totally fascinating meeting. he's a fascinating man and his wife is lovely. they were both up and i couldn't be more impressed. he's a commonsense person. he's not liberal or conservative. he's just a commonsense person, which is beautiful. and today we're learning. carrie underwood is going to be performing at the inauguration next week. she's going to be singing america the beautiful before trump takes the oath of office. snoop dogg will also be performing on inauguration weekend. kid rock,
10:28 pm
billy ray cyrus and the village people are going to be there to y. and the garbage truck that trump rode in after biden called this garbage will be in the inaugural parade, driving down pennsylvania avenue. this year's inauguration is going to look a lot different than 16. ticket sales are up. protests are expected to be very small. it's a good way to start the presidency, but the real fight starts tomorrow. pete hegseth has his confirmation hearing. get ready for fireworks on wednesday. marco rubio, kristi noem, pam bondi, sean duffy and john ratcliffe. thursday, doug burgum and treasury nominee scott bessent. democrats aren't looking to work with republicans. they want a war. schumer said, quote, republicans spent four years attacking the democratic brand, and we need to use the hearings to begin returning the favor. the resistance failed, but they're not done fighting. >> if donald trump and senate
10:29 pm
republicans do things to hurt you, we will fight. >> this is a new congress. >> it is a new day. >> we are united, determined. >> ready. >> 119th congress has begun. >> well, the democrats and all these bureaucrats behind the scenes, they're operating really secretively. but the trump team is rooting them out. incoming senior trump administration officials have begun questioning career civil servants who work in the white house national security council about who they voted for, their political contributions, and whether they've made any social media posts that would be considered incriminating. at least some of these nonpolitical employees have begun packing up their bags. kevin o'leary is the chairman of o'leary ventures and shark tank investor. so this thing's coming in pretty quickly. day one, where he says he's going to be a dictator. only on day one is looking like it's going
10:30 pm
to have head spinning. what do you expect? >> well, i mean, what's been really interesting about this transition over the last eight weeks is this mar-a-lago location has become davos 2025. you don't have to go to switzerland anymore. so much activity has occurred there. i've been part of it and many others have as well. it's off the record. social media policy, which is fantastic because it's not on the presidential record. so if you really want to find out what he's thinking, you got to go there. you got to meet with him. and a lot of the people you're talking about now that are going through this confirmation process, that's where they've been for the last eight weeks. so it's been a form of a unique form of transitional government, i would say. and everybody has a pretty good idea of what's on the agenda. >> and that's good because everybody needs to be on the same page this time around. we're hearing reports out of bloomberg that elon musk might buy tiktok. what are you
10:31 pm
hearing? >> yeah, i well, yes, i've heard that report. obviously, i guarantee you for the next five days you're going to hear one of these stories almost every two hours over the weekend it was zuck. he was at mar-a-lago. that's public record. there's a problem with the existing social media platforms. it's called the regulator. they don't like monopolies. and so, you know, we put our bid in knowing that we have we're not serving anybody. we're going to make this a people's platform with equity crowdfunding, allowing people on tiktok to own a piece of it, beholden to no one social media site that exists today. so look, i'm a huge elon musk fan. i mean, no question about it. you know, he's a phenomenal entrepreneur. but the idea that the regulator, even under trump's administration would, would allow this pretty slim. >> okay, so it's a slim shot, but it's definitely you know, it's definitely out there. and
10:32 pm
carrie underwood i mean if carrie underwood performed something else. sure. >> why not do something else about this whole deal in the end, tiktok is trump's deal all right? he's not giving it to anybody else. it's his deal. he's going to use it for all kinds of leverage. i get it. it's a negotiating tool against china, i get it. but he is the consummate deal maker. he's not going to let this drift into someone else's hands. that's my personal take. i asked him myself, just, you know, 24 hours ago, are you going to support bringing this thing and keeping it alive? because i got, you know, a lot of businesses running on it, and he will let's see what happens next. >> we'll see what happens next. that's what he says. and that's what usually happens. we will see. kevin o'leary. good to see you. >> take care. >> the hulk joins prime time. >> here's to getting better with age.
