tv Hannity FOX News January 15, 2025 6:00pm-7:00pm PST
6:00 pm
>> curtis from huntsville and -- alabama, you know it's bad when dana perino can't find anything nice to say. biden said we haven't felt the full impact of his policies yet. i hope not. anthony from new jersey, jesse watters said i love you to a man on tv. there's nothing wrong with that. i love harold ford jr. and i'm not as it -- not ashamed to say it.
6:01 pm
>> sean: welcome to hannity. tonight we are 5 days until donald j. trump is sworn into office. tonight big things are already underway. donald trump's cabinet nominees are demonstrating a very high level of competence and integrity at their senate confirmation hearings. also we will show you how donald trump's pick for agee, pam bondi, literally flipped the script on the congenital liar adam schiff. if you missed it you missed a lot. a major accomplishment for the president-elect overseas. this is really big news and good news. we will bring you the details on the middle east peace deal that was reached with donald trump getting out across the finish line. by strength, by fear that he is still... they know he means what he says. i don't know any other way to put it. a pathetic farewell address from
6:02 pm
a frankly pathetic career politician filled with delusion of success and petty political attacks. what you've just heard tonight is the typical... every cliche imaginable. false hope for the next president to do so after really doing nothing but sabotage donald trump before he gets into office. a corrupted family, a weapon eyes to do that has caused massive harm to our justice system. in the end a sad pathetic angry man that, you decide, what did he accomplish, he failed to mention that we are on preemptive part and watch as the president considering get out of jail free cards for his brother, ... and a whole list of others, may be even himself. he also failed to mention his greatest legacy and that is the
6:03 pm
millions upon millions and millions of unvented illegal immigrants that poured into this country including violent criminals, murderers,, gang members, cartel members and known terrorists. we don't know where they are, we know that they are here. this is what joe is leaving behind for donald j. trump. mark my words, the greatest legacy of joe biden will be these unvented illegal immigrants. the crimes they commit and the possible terror attacks on our homeland. into nights farewell address we got more class warfare against a handful of billionaires, oligarchs as he's calling them, who don't support him. they have no problem taking a lot of money from a russian oligarch or dealing with wealthy companies in ukraine and china. did mention that part either. then he gave a dire warning about the left's favourite bogeyman climate change.
6:04 pm
biggest existential threat to our country and called for censorship online after it was joe biden himself who coerced big tech into censoring the facts about covid-19. along with the truth about the very real laptop of his son hunter. and that real story was anthony blinken who tried to cover it up organizing a letter with intelligence officials debunking the story as russian disinformation to give him a talking point before a debate and meanwhile not 1 of those people ever saw that laptop are new thing about the laptop. this was a typical biden speech. it was disorganized, it was uninspiring. riddled with visions of grandeur about himself along with doom and gloom about political rivals. you decide. >> i want to warn the country have some things that give me great concern. this is a dangerous
6:05 pm
concentration of power in the hands of a few people. there are dangerous consequences if they are abuse power is left unchecked. today, an oligarchy is taking shape in america. extreme wealth, power and influence that threatens our entire democracy. right now the accidental threat of climate change has never been clearer. just look across the country. california to north carolina. that's why i signed the most significant climate and clean energy law ever. powerful forces want to wield their unchecked influence... to serve their own interests for power and profit. americans are being buried under an avalanche of misinformation and disinformation. enabling the abuse of power. the free press is crumbling.
6:06 pm
social media is giving up on fact-checking. the truth is smothered by lies, for power and for profit. we need to amend the constitution to make clear that no president, no president is immune from crimes that he or she commits while in office. >> sean: is a doj that was pressuring big tech to tell a lot of those lies. you can't make that part up. ultimately his 5 decades in the washington swamp were never about service are making this a better place, always about himself and his own personal gain. the results speak for themselves. tonight forget about what i think, ask yourself. every american needs to ask themselves tonight are you better off than you were 4 years ago, can you identify 1 policy that he implemented that improved your life. economically, everything you buy
6:07 pm
in every story you go to costs more. interest rates are higher. you are paying more for gasoline, are you better off? are you more safe and more secure both here at home and abroad? after nearly 50 years of working for government, biden owns multimillion dollar mansions. he goes on lavish vacations. he's worth millions of dollars for most of his career. he made $200,000 the last and people will always call him mr. president, at the same time americans, most americans i know in the polls show this and confirm this, are far worse off. especially the middle-class that he claims to have a monopoly of compassion on. he didn't seem to care less for him. the incoming administration is already hitting the ground running. this is an amazing phenomenon we are witnessing before our eyes. real successes for you the american people.
6:08 pm
breaking today a cease-fire deal in gaza. that means freedom for 33 hostages, hopefully more are planned for lasting peace. just 1 week after donald j. trump delivered this morning. take a look. >> if those hostages aren't back, i don't want to hurt your negotiation, if they are not backed by the time i get into office, all will break out. and it will not be good for hamas and it will not be good frankly for anyone. i don't have to say anymore but that's what it is. they should have given them back a long time ago. they should have never been the attack of october is -- of seventh. people forget that. >> sean: today would not have happened if it were not for that moment. he didn't just want the terrorists of hamas and their friends in the middle east, he took action. he sent a delegation, he saw steve would cough in that video to negotiate a deal. a deal has been struck.
6:09 pm
donald trump made more progress in 1 meeting then joe biden did all year. top officials now said trump and his envoy push this deal over the finish line and they think it trump for his leadership. take a look. >> you have been working on this deal for many months. the question is why now, why this moment. and was it pressure from the incoming trump administration that got it over the line? thank you. >> thank you very much. actually we've been raising the question of the right moment since the... we have seen a momentum that started to develop and we get -- we kept pushing that working together and working closely with our partners. i can say that what we have seen from the u.s. in the past few days seeing a collaboration
6:10 pm
transcending both administrations was a clear demonstration for the commitment of the u.s. to reach that deal and i would like to thank both the envoys who are here with us. >> sean: joe biden was seething after forgetting how to sign his name on a bill during a bill signing ceremony. the petty, incompetent current president tried to take full credit for the plea deal. he announced about 2 hours after donald trump. take a look. >> is that a joke? thank you. >> sean: that would be donald trump made this happen, not him. that's the joke. joe biden may be should circle back to his own state department. they thanked donald trump earlier today and casey misted.
6:11 pm
>> when it comes to the involvement of president-elect trump's team its been critical in getting this deal over the line. i don't know if it's unprecedented to have envoys from an outgoing and an incoming administration sitting at the same table negotiating a cease-fire agreement of this kind, but it's certainly unusual we thank the trump team for working with this on this cease-fire agreement. it's important that they were at the table. >> sean: it was donald trump that scent his envoy on his own dime to the middle east to relay the message that all would break loose if they didn't get this deal done. as we look back on the 4 years of joe biden's presidency, do you think he was qualified for this job? that's a decision you the american people have to make.
6:12 pm
he's the speaker of the house himself, mike johnson is with us. mr. speaker welcome back to the program, great to see you. i look forward to seeing you next week. let's start with joe's farewell and the fundamental question, can americans look themselves in the eye and ask the question are they better off economically, is the economy better off, are they more safe and secure boat -- both at home and abroad because that would be the measure of any president's success wouldn't take? >> it would. that's why donald j. trump led the republican party to a landslide victory. we delivered in part because president trump is so strong and president biden is so weak. it doesn't matter what he said, the american people know his legacy. you summarized it really well. the wide open border and a catastrophe that will be for
6:13 pm
years to come. the skyrocketing cost of living. the average american family spending $13,000 more just to stay afloat. weakness on the world stage. a catastrophic foreign policy and every metric. we had the weaponization of the doj, the undermining of our entire system. and then the cover-up of his cognitive decline. these are objective facts. the american people saw that, they evaluated it and that's why we have the ushering in of a new golden age that starts in 5 days >> sean: in the house you have a very slim majority and it will get a little larger in the months ahead but to start out you have a pretty slim majority. the way i look at it is republicans are going to have to be united, not anyone republican is going to get everything that they want. and it's going to have to be some give-and-take. do you feel confident that the agenda of donald trump is the agenda of house republicans,
6:14 pm
will they unite behind that agenda? i would say to people as a reagan famously said if you are 80% in agreement you are not my enemy. >> he's -- i've got great news to report tonight. the house republican conference and the senate republicans are united. this is the america first agenda that we are going to deliver in spades. the american people demand and deserve that and we are ready to act. we've been preparing for this moment. we can't wait for president trump to take that oath in 5 days and when he comes into the oval office he will hit the ground running. we will have legislation prepared for him to sign into law. he will issue a flurry of executive orders because we have to fix all these policies that biden and harris delivered. it will happen quickly. is going to be a very aggressive first hundred days agenda. we have to fix everything. it's going to require teamwork,
6:15 pm
going to require unity. every single member in the house and senate that his republican is ready to get this job done. >> so there's been a back-and-forth with the senate. we will talk to ted cruz a little later in the program about whether there is the 1 big beautiful bill that takes place are whether you will need to do it into parts, 2 separate bills. where you stand on that because you will go first, you will send your bill over and they will deal with the bill that you send them. >> ted cruz is 1 of my dear friends and we agree on almost everything. i we may have a difference of opinion on the 1 versus 2 bill strategy. i tell you what we are focusing on is achieving the objectives and accomplishing the mission. to do that the 1 big beautiful bill strategy makes the most sense. remember the senate has 53 republicans. the house has 220. we will have a few less when they leave to join the administration. it's a very complicated set of factors that we have to deal with.
6:16 pm
we have a very diverse conference. much more diverse than the senate republicans. and hope that they will heed our call for the 1 bill strategy, we talked about it today. he wants to get all this done in 1 bill and i think that's the best way to get over the line. >> sean: among the many things you have to do is you have to secure the border. and we have to find the known terrorists, murders, gang members, they have to be deported. others that didn't respect our sovereignty have to be deported. then you have to fix the economy. the key to that is going to be energy dominance. that will make the country rich, that can show up social security and medicare. hopefully start to pay down the debt and really make america an energy wealthy country. and all of that happen, it happen no later than memorial day, what is the timeline you are looking at? >> that's the timeline.
6:17 pm
all of those things are being accomplished in the process and many more things. cutting down government and getting -- getting control of the regulatory state. all these things can happen concurrently because we've been doing all the work to build up for this moment. the timeline is that we will pass the budget, our target is by late february. that sets up the reconciliation process and then we get to the real grind of those policy changes. we will do that if the target is to have this bill on the floor, to pass by early april before easter. and if we follow this timetable, you can have this bill signed in law by the end of april, certainly before memorial day. that will be a great day for the country and between that time, remember a lot will be happening. the house will be passing also to legislation. the senate will go along with so much of this and president trump will have aids executive authority and all the things he's going to do beginning on day one to secure that border and begin this economic
6:18 pm
renaissance. >> it has to also include refunding the police are restoring law and order. and also what i call preparing for the next generation of warfare. i think future wars are not going to be fought on a battlefield but in air-conditioned offices and i believe the president trump's idea for an iron dome is an idea whose time has come and it may up being his greatest legacy a generation from now. >> it could. we maintain peace through strength and president trump has exhibited that. illustrated that with the peace deal. it would not have happened without him having that firm hand. make no mistake, that biden a administration has made a mess of this. they appeased around. and that emboldened them and their proxies like hamas while they undermined israel. hamas thought that the
6:19 pm
relationship was weakening. president trump set that record straight. that's what's going to happen. the future of warfare is different. we have to think about it differently and funded differently. but we have to maintain the greatest fighting force on the planet. we will, we are the last great superpower and america is coming back. >> sean: speaker johnson, thank you. joining us now with much more is israel special ops veteran aaron cohen. and clay travis. let's get your thoughts on jo's farewell address. >> i thought it was pathetic. there's a reason you talked about why americans are overwhelmingly rejecting him. cnn said 61% of the people they pulled said that joe biden's presidency was a failure. 36% of people approve of his presidency. that didn't seem like a farewell address. it seemed like a lecture to the nation about why joe biden was right when the vast majority of
6:20 pm
americans have decided he was wrong. i cannot wait for five days from now. i am going to be with you celebrating at the inaugural party. a few hours after donald trump raises his right hand. it can't get here fast enough. america has never been weaker, now's the time for real leadership. i'm thankful we kicked him to the curb. and and never want to see him again. >> sean: this peace deal, correct me if i'm wrong. to me the language of the middle east is that of strength. and is certainly among radical islamic terrorists. i do not believe there is any chance this deal could have been reached today but for donald trump saying you better release these hostages, a better happen before i get into office or all will break loose in the entire region. i believe that was the money shot in this particular equation
6:21 pm
>> i agree with you 100% sean. while president trump doesn't speak arabic, he speaks the language of the middle east. he understands the signalling of the neighbourhood which is that strength. i think that's why hamas scrambled to get this deal done. i think that this deal also was a very serious tactical opening to really begin to not only bring those hostages back but to begin to pave the way to get those eyeballs back on iran. that's the main thread here. we've got some hostages back. we can ease on that a little bit. we've done a tremendous amount of damage to hamas over the last 14 months. we've taken out stockpiles of weapons. we've assassinated everyone of their leaders. we wrote the book on that in the last year and we've taken out swaths of hamas remaining battalion or to. we've got the cease-fire ending with hezbollah and lebanon in
6:22 pm
the next ten days. that's going to be opening up again. trump i believe had a good talk. everybody understands that iran, it's time to start looking back at them. there's no question that his leadership has secured and pave the way for those hostages to get back home. biden was an absolute disaster, failed israel on many levels. wouldn't allow them to get boots on the ground and continue to go after those hostages. from what i'm hearing, they had ordered suicide bombers to surround these last groups of hostages. so any hostage rescue attempt from our units would've been an absolute suicide mission. i think this was the right decision. time to regroup and start refocusing optics on the big terror head of the snake, iran.
6:23 pm
>> sean: that's the answer because if the people that i talked to and my sources are correct and the iranians are months away from a nuclear weapon that would mean israel, donald trump would need to combine forces and take out those sites, take out the refineries. take out their ability to fund terror and the world will be a safer place. by the way, don't forget you've got to look your best next monday. very important. how you look at the ball as you will be our special guest. only come back the cabinet nominees sit for huge confirmation hearings on capitol hill. we will bring you highlights and get reaction. ted cruz coming up straight ahead.
6:26 pm
narrator: ontario, canada. stable and secure when the world around us isn't. you can rely on us for energy to power your growing economy and for critical minerals crucial to new technologies. we're here, right by your side. [title: ontario, canada] [title: ontario.ca/partner] [title: paid for by the government of ontario]
6:28 pm
>> sean: it was a big down capitol hill were a number of president-elect donald trump's cabinet nominees sat for confirmation hearings. that includes marco rubio who is expected to cruise through the confirmation process and become the next secretary of state. sitting before the foreign relations committee today, he picked up an endorsement from ranking member democrat senator jean janine and reiterated his belief that diplomats should support donald trump's mission. >> we've also had a good working relationship for many years. i believe you have the skills and are well qualified to serve as secretary of state. >> i want to bring in people that are three things. aligned to the mission, i think that's critically important, whether they be foreign service officers. i'm talking about alignment with the mission that we've outlined for american foreign policy,
6:29 pm
which is one of the things that i think has hurt the state department. under numerous administrations. >> while his hearing was conducted and a mostly bipartisan matter, pam bondi was a bit more contentious but she was having none of it. she hit back and hit back hard and democrats including the conspiracy theorist himself adam schiff attempted to try to bully her and wouldn't let her answer questions while also slamming the weaponization of our current department of justice. >> it confirmed i will fight every day to restore confidence and integrity to the department of justice and each of it's components. the partisanship, the weaponization will be gone. i'm not familiar with all the comments, i have not discussed those comments. >> i'm asking you for your view. >> mr. patel was a career
6:30 pm
prosecutor. he was a career public defender. >> i'm going to. [simultaneous talking] [simultaneous talking] >> no mr. president i need to go over them on a case by case basis. do not issue blanket pardons. will that be your advice to the president. >> i have not looked at any of those files. it comfort -- it confirmed i will look at the files as well as... >> i will look at every file i am asked to look at. i would have plenty of staff. >> you will be able to review. >> i'm not going to...
6:31 pm
>> you were censored for comments just like this. >> great job pam bondi. here with reaction, texas senator ted cruz. the fact that california, they adopt all these environmental laws that prevent the basic science of forestry. it results in a disaster. they elect people like this idiot, a congenital liar conspiracy theorist and a pam bondi, you are the one that got censored by congress. for the very same thing that you were bringing up here. what's interesting to me, it seems that the very thing that they fear is what they did, what they did knowingly that they knew was wrong and that was weapon i the doj. now all of a sudden they are concerned about equal justice and equal application of our loss. it's laughable to me but pam
6:32 pm
bondi gave the correct answer. equal justice under the law, equal application of our laws. >> pam bondi did a terrific job today. she's going to be confirmed as attorney general. i believe all of president trump's nominees are going to be confirmed and this week we've had multiple hearings for about half already and they have performed consistently very well. pete hegseth did a superb job, i think will be confirmed for secretary of defence. seeing the democrats go after pete saying the democrats go after pam, they are in panic. you can tell from their attacks with pete hegseth they went into personal slanders and attacks faced on anonymous reports because they didn't want to address the job he will do as secretary of defence. with pam bondi they had very little to say about her distinguished career as a prosecutor, you trying violent
6:33 pm
criminals, serving eight years as the elected attorney general. they just screamed about donald trump and they channeled accusations to her about weapon i doj that i think are laughable because in many ways the most disgraceful aspect of the last four years under joe biden has been the absolute politicization and weaponization of the department of justice to go after donald trump, to go after biden's enemies, to protect biden's political allies. i believe pam bondi is going to come in and restore integrity to the department of justice. what she made clear, what i and others made clear at the hearing, i don't want to see a republican department of justice or democrat department of justice. i want to department of justice that follows the law regardless of party and i believe that's exactly what pam bondi is going to do. >> sean: i was talking to speaker johnson a moment ago. while i would like to get one bill and get the economy moving and get everything fixed, i
6:34 pm
would be my desire. i understand there are strong argument on both sides for either one big beautiful bill or two bills. i don't think there is consensus yet. it looks like the house has decided to go with the one bill strategy. you maybe thought it would work better in the senate. i don't think either one is right and wrong is all -- as long as it all gets done as early as possible. where are you on that issue? >> you're right that there is a tactical disagreement between the house and senate. the speakers argued for doing one bill. i it's much more likely to succeed doing two different bills. just about every senator agrees that two bills maximize the chances of success. we will resolve those questions. i think what the american people want and expect is that we deliver results. there is a mandate that came in november. a mandate to secure the border. we've got to secure the border.
6:35 pm
is amended to bring back jobs and unleash american energy, to lower inflation. there's a mandate to protect this country. we are going to do all of that. we're going to repeal job killing regulations and at the end of the day whether we do one bill or two, we will get the job done. and i think every republican in the senate is committed to doing that and i think every republican in the houses as well. we will work hand-in-hand with the president and i was the time for us to roll up our sleeves and deliver on our promises because the stakes are too high to do anything else. >> sean: are you that convinced that every part of the trump agenda, whether one bill or two will be passed by memorial day at the latest. >> i think if we try to do one giant bill i think we increase the chances of failure. that's why i think that is a mistake in strategy. the more complicated a ct scan, a few weeks ago we had a continuing resolution that was widely criticized for being too big and now folks are suggesting
6:36 pm
let's have the biggest bill and put everything in there. i think that is risky. start with a bill to secure the border, to rebuild our military and to unleash energy. we can get widespread agreement on that. later lights extend the -- extend the tax cuts and unleash the american economy. i think we can come together and avoid a 4 trillion-dollar tax increase. whatever tactic we use we've got to deliver results. that's my focus. >> sean: it is critical that part get done sooner than later. the economy get put on track sooner than later because that will impact the midterm elections. ragan got his economic policies in place a little late. i think that delayed the recovery. what a mess of a recovery we had. 21 million new jobs created, these policies implemented,
6:37 pm
getting done, have to be critical. i hope everyone stays on the same page. when we come back we have shocking photos of l.a. mayor karen bass that have surfaced during the outbreak of this horrific california wildfire. and joe biden calling out nancy pelosi after she pressured her husband to drop out of the 2024 race and the fda just banned red dye number 3. really? just before robert f. kennedy jr. gets into do his job. really interesting timing. jillian michaels weighs in on that and her love of mcdonald's straight ahead.
6:42 pm
city when the fires exploded last week in los angeles. we know she was in ghana. joe biden sent her to attend the inauguration of the new president of ghana and now we have photos of her attending a cocktail party the very night the fires started. here with the full report from los angeles, christina coleman. nice to have cocktails. she knew santa ana winds were on their way. she knew the risk of wildfires was high but she went anyway? >> i don't know what she was thinking. she's getting a ton of backlash over this. a city staff are posted this photo to instagram that shows her posing at a cocktail party in ghana. this was the very same day that the fires started. the merit was out of the country at the time to attend the ghanaian president inauguration. she left on saturday, the same day that the weather watches and high wind watches wonder about possible strong and damaging
6:43 pm
winds for tuesday through friday of last week. last tuesday is win those fires started. she was asked if she regrets leaving town, take a listen. >> would you have taken that trip? >> i'm going to focus today on ... >> also in october of 2021, she told "the new york times" that she would not travel internationally as l.a.'s mayor. since she's been the mayor she's taken five city funded international trips including her trip to ghana. she's facing a ton of backlash over this. >> sean: thanks for that report. first lady jill biden finally weighing in on the democratic party and their efforts to remove her husband from the 2024 race. telling "the washington post" she was particularly hurt when nancy pelosi turned against joe after a five decade long friendship.
6:44 pm
and as they now make a pathetic exit from public life, americas bureaucrats are busy trying to cover up years of incompetence. the fda in their final hours officially been red dye number 3 from food and drinks. it's known to cause cancer in animals. why didn't they do this eight years ago or four years ago, whenever they took office. they do it a week before donald trump takes office. maybe could it be because donald trump's incoming health and human services secretary has been warning about these food dyes for years? here with more is mcdonald's biggest fan. the host of keeping it real, the podcast, jillian michaels. i can't help myself. i could see your reaction, you have every right to want to strangle me.
6:45 pm
first let's go to jail biden. if one day the story will come out that you were way ahead of the curve, that you saw the direction of california. you call them out and you left a very loud way. kind of like i left new york in a pretty loud way. you warned californians what was coming and he moved to the free state of florida. good for you. now i think the story will come out about obama and pelosi and schumer and george clooney all conspiring to get joe to drop out. we don't know the full story, what's your reaction to that as i think a former democrat. i don't think you identify as a democrat anymore. >> i do not. identify as an independent. i was also ahead of the curve on biden's cognitive decline. if you look at an interview that i did with belmar year ago to the day practically, i said he's not capable of doing this job
6:46 pm
and i work with many different doctors who speculate, and this is conjecture. they speculate he is struggling with some form of parkinson's and it's been obvious for quite some time and what disappoints me as an american citizen is that they didn't ask him to step down. you see he is in trouble and you are saying he's not capable of running the country for four more years. what in this be the moment when we were struggling with so many precarious situations from the economy, the geopolitics with wars all over the place, is in this the moment that you say its been a good run, step down and afford jill biden to act hurt, your husband is a career politician. give me a break. it's ridiculous. >> i took a lot of heat back in 2020 when i was pointing out his cognitive decline and i was
6:47 pm
hammered for doing it. it was evident then. what do you make, you have been a big proponent of healthier food. if you buy froot loops, my understanding in other parts of the world, it's not quite as colourful as the froot loops you buy here. what is wrong with the dye that they put in the food to make it look more appealing? >> it's petroleum-based and we know that it's toxic. what's frustrating about what happened today, i first want to point out how grateful i am for bobby kennedy and donald trump to highlight and empower activists who brought the froot loops argument into the spotlight.
6:48 pm
it's like oh perfect we're going to ban red number 40 but this is 1 of thousands of chemicals we have known that this is a toxic chemical for 30 plus years. it's been banned from cosmetics since the 90s. so two things i'm hoping people take away from this. number 1, the fact that we knew this was toxic and the fda did nothing until now, they should be outraged and understand how important it is that we get kennedy confirmed. last but not least, take matters into your own hands and mitigate the stuff whenever possible. that means don't have mcdonald's with sean. >> sean: robert f. kennedy's boss is someone that loves mcdonald's, loves kfc and he loves pizza. so there's no way donald trump is going to support banning any of that. however, making educated choices
6:49 pm
6:50 pm
hillsdale was founded in 1844. we're passing on a cultural heritage, the culture of the west. when the federal government started giving money to colleges, we didn't take it. that independence has allowed us to stay with our mission that we established 175 years ago. because we don't accept federal money. we are free to concentrate on the mission of the college. we care about freedom, and that affiliates us with the free institutions of america. (♪) at betmgm, everyone gets a welcome offer. so whether you're courtside trying to hit the over... or up here trying to hit the under. whew! or, hitting that win with your crew. ohhh! yes, see defense! or way up here with a same game parlay. yaw! betmgm's got your back.

6:53 pm
>> peta activists are added again and this time they are coming for some college football mascots. they sent a letter to the commissioner of the sec conference demanding live animals no longer be used as mascots, specifically they called out the use of the texas longhorns mascot who has been a part of texas football since 1916. citing public concern and safety concerns as well as concerns for his well-being.
6:54 pm
peta spokesperson ashley byrne is with us. you say you would like the sec to only use willing human mascots. are you comparing animals to humans? >> actually we are saying that humans are willing to be in the stadiums in mascot costumes performing whereas animals are dragged in and it's a terrifying environment for them. it's just common sense and basic kindness. >> sean: should animals have the same rights as humans? >> animals should have consideration of the fact that they feel pain or fear. >> sean: sure they have the same rights as human beings. >> they don't need to drive or vote but they do deserve for us to consider the fact that they suffer in environments like a stadium full of screaming fans. >> sean: they look like they're having fun and they are loved by the fans and this has
6:55 pm
