end of an administration, you at least said, well, he did some good things. and look, he really did fight for the republic here. it's the same old, same old once again. and it's kind of tragic, not only for him but for the american people. >> i'm focusing. i think we've done enough. biden i think i'm focusing on the future. i'm done with the bidens. okay. i want to focus on the future. i want to focus on trump's plans. i want to focus on the challenges, beating them and having a lot of fun in the new year. raymond, always great to see you. that is it for us tonight. we'll give you the report from the inauguration on monday night, all the festivities along the way. it's going to be a busy weekend and snowy one to make sure to follow me for all the hijinks on social media. remember, it is america now and forever. we survived joe biden, jesse watters, he takes it from here. have a great weekend. >> hello everyone. >> i'm judge jeanine pirro,
2:01 am
along with harold ford jr, jesse watters, katie pavlich, and greg gutfeld. it's 5:00 in new york city, and this is the five. the biden travesty is almost over, and the big guy is getting the last rambling word on his failed presidency. joe biden conducting his final exit interview with friendly msnbc host lawrence o'donnell. and he sounded as bitter as ever, full of grievance and self-pity. for example, joe biden regrets not slapping his name on stimulus checks like trump did. >> ironically, i almost spent too much time on the policy and not enough time on the politics. democratic senators to congress saying, well, you know, joe biden did this, and this is done by so and so and so and so. and this is the new, you know, bill by the
2:02 am
democratic party kind of thing. i really am concerned about how fragile democracy is. that sounds corny, but i mean, i really i really am concerned because you've heard me say it a hundred times. i really think we're at an inflection point in history here where, unrelated to any particular leader, things are going to change drastically. >> let's hope so. and the outgoing president, who will be best remembered for sky high inflation and a weak economy, is now trying to pass the blame for his economic woes onto the red states. >> i got a lot of criticism, understandably. we've invested more in red states than blue states. >> that's in this book. >> that's in this report for two reasons. one, red states really screwed up in terms of the way they handled their economy and the way they handled manufacturing, the way they handle access to supply
2:03 am
chains. >> and earlier, joe biden spoke for the final time in public as president, delivering remarks at the u.s. conference of mayors. and as usual, he was a wordsmith. >> i announced the next phase, the next 15 drugs subject to no negotiations. drugs will treat cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and so much more, including ozempic. excuse me. ozempic. hard to say, but it really is an incredible drug. >> the first question is ozempic an incredible drug, greg. >> well, i don't know what drug he's on or what drug he's stopped, but it's not funny anymore. i mean, that is just bizarro. i was watching biden and o'donnell, and it's like watching two punch drunk hobos playing go fish. they're the only two people on earth who could actually understand each other. you know, you really get
2:04 am
me. meanwhile, everybody else watching thinks, how did they get the two guys? two old guys from the muppets back together? i thought they were dead. it is funny watching msnbc give joe biden his exit interview. it's kind of like the titanic interviewing the iceberg. they both went hand in hand down the drain. one of the most common things liberals say we need to have a conversation. we need to have a conversation. apparently, that's their version of a conversation. in order to have one, it has to be someone as dumb as you. that is why whenever you prove them wrong, they go, well, we need to have a conversation. but there's no point. no point at all. in arguing over biden's idea of what he did or said, it's like arguing with a child while they're trying to recite a dream they had the night before. you know, i was flying on a dragon and uncle bob was there and giant spiders were eating snow cones. you don't sit there and go, i'm not sure about the snow cones. joe biden, when he talks, is like a kid describing a dream. his last five four years were
2:05 am
nothing but an acid trip. now you got the new york times, you know, saying top democrats were trying to get joe out. chuck schumer and everybody. this underlines the severity of the cover up. the only reason they freaked out isn't because joe was a feeble mess. it's because america saw the feeble mess and the debate. their cover up was blown and we have to pursue that. >> okay, you know, jesse, the whole speech was not a vision, you know, of america and for america, you know, the analogy. you know, the city on the hill, it was dark. it was full of grievance. it was negative. he's really concerned about this inflection point in history, in the fragility of democracy. >> you remember we went down the shore and we all played hungry, hungry hippos. yes. >> and you won, i won. >> it reminds me of, like, he just wants all the credit, and he's just gobbling up as much credit as possible. he was compared to fdr. now, if fdr had the opportunity to do an exit interview, unfortunately he didn't. he died in office,
2:06 am
but he did. would he be saying, oh, woulda, coulda, shoulda? i should have named more bridges and put my name on more checks. no, that's not what great presidents do. that's not what well-adjusted human beings do. and he's saying, a lifelong politician, that he wasn't political enough. like we're supposed to think joe biden was this policy wonk that spent all day with engineers inside the roosevelt room crafting brilliant public policy? no he didn't. he just spent a lot of money on windmills, and it blew up the economy. and now he's blaming red states. the red states were the only ones doing business when he was sending money out the door. because the blue states closed down because of covid. and he wants people to feel sorry for him. the guy's got his own chef. he's got his own jet. no one feels sorry for him. this schumer article is incredible. they said the debate, which he bombed was a gift because they wanted this to happen, because it put this coup in motion. and he went over to joe's place in
2:07 am
rehoboth. and the first thing that happened. joe's on the phone with other democrats shouting at them, i'm not going anywhere. so schumer hands him polling that shows he has a 5% chance of winning. biden goes, i've never seen this before. no one even showed it to him. >> you know, harold, joe biden came in promising unity. and, you know, he created hatred and division in america by degrading us and calling people who supported donald trump extremists and maga extremists. and he leaves office blaming republicans. i mean, isn't he leaving the same way he came in? >> no, i think he came in. and i think a lot of people thought he might have been able to bring the country together more. i think about four years ago, january 20th, i'll never forget where i was sitting. i was with my family. we were still renting a place in florida. i had not been vaccinated yet, and i remember listening to president biden and i commented on the show, i think bret was hosting the
2:08 am
show, that this i felt so good about the country being able to come together four years later, i think he i think he failed in that regard in a lot of ways. i heard him trying to say, and jesse and greg, i don't disagree with you. >> i'm ready for him to move on. this is not a slight on him at all, but i'm ready for the next game and ready for the next phase in american political history, in our own history. but i listen to him, and i thought maybe he was trying to say that he didn't his his personal politics over the many years he was in the senate and vice president was always about trying to reconcile and bring things, bring people together. and i think one of the things that people will look back on his presidency and say, there were times in which we were not together, there were times in which there was was division with even within his own party. and i think people will point to what you just pointed to in that article, jesse, about how schumer went there and how there were democrats wanting him to step down, that it was time to usher in a new era. he presented himself as being a transitional figure. and he was he was not that. now, again,
2:09 am
i'm ready to stop talking about it. he will stop talking about it next 72 hours. the next president has his has a great opportunity, a great set of challenges. we know a lot of them, from tiktok to taxes to tariffs to ukraine, and i'm rooting for him. but the stuff on biden, i didn't i didn't fully understand what he was saying last night on on the show. and he's he's entitled to his due entitled to his his assessment of his presidency. but again, i think i speak for a lot of democrats and probably a lot more republicans. it's time to move on. >> thank you. harold. that was a very reasoned, logical discussion. all right. katie. katie, you know, the whole thing, the more he speaks, the more he proves that he's cognitively inclined. i mean, he said that kamala could have beaten donald trump. what will he be remembered for? >> well, lots of complaining based on this last interview and the last couple of days that he's been in front of a
2:10 am
camera, he says he spent too much time on the policy, not enough time on the politics. well, that's just not true. i mean, he's basically trying to say that they didn't spend enough time on p.r, that the white house press office didn't, you know, spend enough time promoting what they were trying to sell. what they did do is tell americans things that they were experiencing, like inflation and crime and the border and consequences from that weren't happening. so he was basically saying that he wanted them to do more of that. and delusionally thinking that's going to work. in terms of his farewell message to the country, he didn't do this end of the year press conference with multiple reporters. he ran to this very safe space of msnbc to go and whine rather than address the american people through these reporters and answer questions about what his legacy he wants to be, what he sees for the future. instead, he's going over old territory that he lost on. and when he talks about democracy being fragile, he's right about that. it is fragile, which is
2:11 am
why it is so dangerous. what the democrats did to donald trump over the past eight years, what they did with all the lawfare, what joe biden did with his department of justice, trying to put his top political opponent in jail, suing to keep trump off of the ballot, suing to keep rfk jr off of ballots. that's not democratic. and they're still thinking that they're the ones who have the moral high ground on that issue. when americans showed in polling before and after the election, they trust trump on the issue of democracy because he was open to a primary, open to debate, open to other people being in the mix and having conversations about different kinds of ideas and putting them into policy. so i don't know what his legacy is going to be. the country has 60% plus are have nothing good to say about his approval rating. he did a lot of damage in terms of people's economic situations, and that's going to have to be unraveled by the trump administration. but based on
2:12 am
what he's been saying in the last couple of days, i think people will remember him in the short term, for sure, as just winding out the door. yeah. >> yep. coming up, border accountability is coming in three days. trump's dhs nominee kristi noem torching joe biden and democrats for letting criminal migrants run wild in. america. southern night have you ever felt a southern night? >> free as a. >> meme? thanks for rory. >> never thought she would live out her dream. then one day she did. you were made to chase your passions. we were made to put them in a package. >> so what do you think about these? >> we're gonna take everything down to the studs. >> from design and products to removal and installation. >> it turned out amazing. >> re-bath is with you through every step of your remodel. call or visit re-bath. com for

known as alejandro mayorkas, as trump's pick to lead the department of homeland security. and today, she laid out in her confirmation hearing how she will restore order to the border. >> the number one threat to our homeland security is the southern border. the question i get asked the most is, why would you want to head up such a dysfunctional department? and i would say that because the mission of the department is to secure the homeland and our people, it's our biggest vulnerability right now. >> is the southern border secure as we find it today? >> senator? no, the southern border is not secure today. but in just three days, we will have a new president in this country, president donald j. trump. and he will secure our border. >> noem caps off a week long confirmation palooza that has seen some truly bizarre antics by the democrats, like hawaii senator mazie hirono. she's been making and asking trump cabinet nominees all week this question since you became a legal adult, have you ever made
2:18 am
unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature? >> no, senator, since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature? >> no, senator, since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature? >> no, senator, i have not. >> so, greg, as a person who's a legal adult, do you want to answer that question? >> you know, the thing is, i think she's doing research. that's what i think. you know, unwanted requests for sexual favors. that's like guys ask, you know, guys on a first date or a second date. it's not about assault. it's like, you know, trying to get to first base. she's doing research
2:19 am
because she's never experienced an unwanted request for a sexual favor in her life. mayorkas to christie, you're going from a garden gnome to christie gnome. i mean, she's so hot that shooting a dog isn't a deal breaker. and i'm telling you this. you look at this crop of nominees and the party, there's something there, man. they're all. they're all in great shape. it's, you know, you got to look at people who preserve and maintain what's important in their lives. if they're going to do that with their physical self, they're going to do that in other areas. this is why, like a lot of liberals are just fat, out of shape losers because they don't believe in structured discipline. no offense, harold, you look great gnomes. lucky to succeed. someone as utterly incompetent as mayorkas. all she has to do is show up and not take a leak on the desk, and she wins. i mean, what mayorkas is the epitome of the nonconscious thinking that you find in robotic humanity, like meter maids and tsa workers and
2:20 am
walgreen's cashiers, there's no way to reach them. you can't find the humanity in there or the need or somebody to understand your needs or problems. so when you say to him, you know, you falsely blamed a border agent, it's a soulless bureaucrat there. he's just a member of the elite managerial class. he's only looking out for his own survival. he doesn't give an f. >> yeah. so, harold, kristi noem, governor of south dakota, of course, has been involved in the border crisis. she sent the national guard there down to texas multiple times to help stem the flow while the biden administration was suing texas. but this is an issue that democrats are concerned about as well security, national security, illegal immigration. so is there room for them to work with noem on some of these issues? >> i'm sure there will be. again, as i shared yesterday, i think some of the questioning by some of my democratic friends has not been the most probing or the most informing i would have. i would have asked. i mean, i think we're looking
2:21 am
backwards as opposed to looking forward. i would have asked governor noem about her thoughts on asylum reform. how much did she believe it might cost to put the fences up around, or put the fence up around along our southern border? i would have asked her about deportation. i think one of the questions i thought was interesting was what is her responsibility? this is not directed at her, but the way president trump has done is he has a czar in the white house and he has a dhs secretary. i watched a little bit of it. i didn't hear any questions about the secret service. i mean, after what we experienced over the last year, the president being shot and almost killed, actually got shot and almost shot again on his own golf course. i would have been curious to think, get her thinking. do you think we need more money? do you think we need a different command structure? what are your thoughts about this? but everyone is so invested and they can obsess with still litigating what happened back in november that we don't realize that we have a whole country to govern here and the policies to be set. so hopefully they will work together, katie, and hopefully they get some things done on
2:22 am
behalf of the country. >> you know, judge, homeland security is a massive government agency. she's going to be in charge of a lot of different departments that fall under her. but border is a number one priority for the president. and today, during the hearing, democrats tried to make it seem like all of the policy proposals trump is going to implement are inhumane. >> well, you know, this is all theater. you know, sometimes i wish that these hearings would not be on television because maybe if they weren't televised, then the senators would focus on the issues that really matter. i mean, you got mazie hirono saying crazy mazie, since you became a legal adult, have you ever made an unwanted request for sexual favors? first of all, how do you know it's unwanted unless you ask for it? exactly. and people can say, no, it's not. >> yeah, people can say no. >> exactly. but aside from all that and, you know, it's like pam bondi said, she said, it's funny. senator hirono, i wanted to meet with you and you said
2:23 am
no. she said we could have saved all this time and address the issues. and but look, this is what's going on. the american people voted overwhelmingly for donald trump. and we have put our faith in the president to secure the border. the president knows we want that border secured, and the president is putting in people that he believes will roll out the america first agenda. and, you know, these people will do so. so just confirm them and let them get started. because the longer we wait, the harder it's going to be for them to start and to succeed. >> so, jesse, my question for you is did she pass the test of when these deportations start happening and the democrats start saying you're separating children from their families, did she pass the test of having a spine and pushing back on all of that in the media? who is going to really highlight what they they did under the first trump administration to derail his agenda? >> i refuse to answer that question, katie. >> why? >> i have grievances, and i'm
2:24 am
very upset about a few things that have been said on this show. number one, there are two tiers of justice on this show. i've just realized two tiers of tv justice. for years, i've made comments about people's personal appearances, and every time i do it, i get smacked, i get smacked, i get warned, i sometimes get warned by very important people. greg just went to town on women, liberals in the most base and disparaging way, and everybody laughs because maybe he's a little more articulate or a little funnier about it. i've said the same things. i just want the record to show it might be a context. i also have another grievance. you're right, katie, you just said, how do you know something's unwanted unless you ask, do women want you to ask? >> no, don't even go there. >> or do they just jesse. >> because again, the context, that context, he's telling me not to say that on something. >> he's on to something. in the modern age of male female relationships, what did the feminists and the radicals

>> i'll be wraps around your finger. >> anticipation is growing for trump's inauguration. just three days from now, it's going to look a little different. dangerously cold temperatures will force trump's inauguration inside to the capitol rotunda for the first time in 40 years. the president elect explaining on truth, quote, i don't want to see people hurt or injured in any way. it is dangerous conditions for the tens of thousands of law enforcement, first responders, police, canines, and even horses. meanwhile, the left is freaking out as america's tech giants flock to the inauguration. you got the zuck. tim cook, even tiktok's ceo is going to be there. but joyless joy reid is jealous. >> they increasingly help decide what news you get, what you know about the world, and even what people think and believe, and the policies that these billionaires impose on their tech platforms have real life consequences. that's what an oligarchy looks like. the world's richest tech bros and a

2:32 am
outside, but it is going to be very, very cold. and because of the crowds, it would take a lot of people to get in. but to the tech ceo issue, i think they want to work with trump. they're interested in having conversations. as you know, liberals often do. but i'm very skeptical about the reasons they're changing their perspective here. you know, zuckerberg especially, you know, they're getting rid of die. they're getting rid of the fact checkers, and they're saying it's a new age. it is. but you also have a department of justice coming in where you have people like harmeet dhillon and leo terrell who are going to look at these companies and sue the pants off of them for discrimination and for violating the constitutional rights of americans through certain kinds of censorship, working with the government. so it's not just all about playing nice, it's about them making sure that they're not getting sued. >> leo 2.0. they better watch out. judge jeanine. it does. i wouldn't say take away from the pomp and circumstance, but it's going to be different. how do
2:33 am
you feel about going inside? >> thrilled. >> yeah. >> i can't wear enough layers under the coats that i have. yeah, i'm sure it's a disappointment. it's a disappointment for a lot of people. i'm sure it's a disappointment for the president. but, you know, people's health and safety matters. and at least he cares about that. i mean, there's no other reason to go inside. but i really want to talk about these tech ceos. you know, we just heard joy reid complaining about the fact that these tech ceos are bad. you know, they're only concerned about making money, and they're going to be controlling the news that we hear. well, you know, you didn't care about that when they were suppressing the first amendment. you didn't care about that when they decided to de-platform us or de-platform a president. you know, that didn't matter to you. but now that they're they're going to donald trump, it's offensive to her. and i'm sure it's racist somewhere in there. i just wasn't listening at some point. but you know, there's a reason
2:34 am
there's a couple of reasons. look, they could make money with the biden administration siding with biden, just like they can make money with the trump administration that it's in their business interest. i'm not saying they're going to get money from the government, but it's in their business interest. but think about it. what makes more sense for these tech ceos to get involved with donald trump? because the future is brighter with donald trump, because the economy is going to be better with donald trump, because the animal spirits are going to be higher with donald trump. so, you know, don't tell me they're just doing it, you know, to kiss his ring. certainly they're doing it for a business motivation as well as the fact that they see a benefit to it. and by the way, social media is leaning right now. all of social media is leaning right. and it seems that the companies now are flipping their algorithms to lean right. and the longer they keep people on social media, obviously the more advertising they're able

not surprised by it. i will say this though. we talked about the billionaire stuff yesterday, in 2017 when president trump was inaugurated, the number one person on the forbes 400 list of billionaires is bill gates. at $89 billion today, the top is elon musk. he has $244 billion in 2017. gates has 89 billion. would have ranked him 20th, i believe, or 15th or 20th on the list right around where bloomberg is today. yet the median income in the country in 2017 was 61,000. the average average household in 2024 is 80,000. president trump won because he upended the model. he got more working class voters. he ate into the minority vote with democrats. if he is to succeed, he's got to be able to represent that $80,000 a year household as much as he represents that $244 billion household. elon musk, that's the challenge. and that's the rub. >> he will somebody tell you i'm saying this. >> you have a lot of numbers, harold. >> yeah.
