thanks so much, griff. the sights and sounds. griff jenkins still high from the commanders' big victory last night. a quick note, he says his kids really wanted to go to the inauguration, he was, like, i don't have any tickets, i'm working. they were so crestfallen. that's what you do. it's a great job, but -- lawrence: i would also say to those people because i know there's a lot of people who with traveled across the country, and they're disappointed they're not going to witness it. you've got a president now that is not going to be just stuck in the white house. i'm sure there will be more rallies, he's going to be visiting your hometown, and -- ainsley: speak to the press. lawrence: -- speaking to the press. you're going to get the opportunity. i know this is a full circle moment for people, but you should feel well because he's not going to be in bed at 4 p.m. he's going to be talking with the american people. steve: well, here's the thing, i flew down on an airplane from the new york area to here, and half the people on the plane were coming to the inaugural. and i asked, i was sitting where

people were walking by me, and they go, okay, do you have tickets? there are no tickets because 250,000 tickets were printed and given out, and the people would have been sitting all back there. but that event is not happening. and so i said, so if you don't -- are you going to a ball? not going to a ball. what are you going to do in washington? we might if actually be sitting in a marriott hotel room watching it on tv. they want to be here. everybody wants to be here, but given the limitations of the weather and the restrictions, they might -- ultimately, the tv will be the best place to see everything. brian: right. ainsley: we walked mt. he tell last night and ended up staying in the lobby for probably a good 40 minutes talking to people who were here and excited, some disappointed they're not going to be able to to go live and see him, but we understand it's because of the weather. you have joe biden will be there, all the former presidents too, so it's just going to be too cold. donald trump was saying it'll be, what, 5, 7 degrees?

i know that half the family threw -- flew on his plane yesterday, and half of them flew on air force one, the smaller one x it was really beautiful the see that plane on the runway because it's white, it and has the tiffany blue on the bottom. brian: right. we'll see if the president changes that scheme. he talked about it before. tom homan is one of the few after being named who did interviews, and he did it because he wants everyone to get ready, and he's going for mass deportations. i.c.e. is ready to go, and he's already bulking up the ranks. here's a little of the ajean you can expect to see tom homan do as early as tuesday morning. >> we're going to be targeted enforcement to operations. i.c.e. goes out, they're going to know exactly who they're looking for, pretty much where they'll find them. it's a well planned operation. they'll know who's in the house including children. this is the a well-planned operation. every target is well planned, and the whole team will be out

there for officer safety reasons. sanctuary cities, it's unfortunate. you would think the sanctuary cities, if they care about public safety, if they care about the safety of their communities, they'd let us in their jails. that's where we want to arrest the bad guy, in the safety and security of a county jail where the officer's safe, the community's safe and the alien's safe. steve: right. and we knew that there was going to be a big push after the president is sworn in at noon tomorrow. and we had tom homan on a couple weeks ago on the curvy couch when we were in new york city, and a couple days earlier it had been reported out of chicago that that a he had told a business group in chicago at a round table that the deportations were going to start in chicago. and then more details started coming out, and last week the "wall street journal" had a big story essentially detailing what i.c.e. was going to be doing in chicago. well, now they've decided given the fact that all that stuff has
4:11 am
leaked, what they're saying is the administration is reconsidering tear plans -- their plans, and now they're saying only some preliminary discussions about enforcement. we just told them to get ready. after this plan if leaked, the chicago city council voted not to help i.c.e. round anybody up. lawrence: well, or it's very unfortunate because we have to think about the legal ramifications of this. first of all, if i.c.e. is showing up to your doorstep, either you have a final deportation order, that means it's been add adjudicated through an immigration court, or you have skipped the appointment in some way where you didn't show up to get fingerprinted or anything like that or show up for your hearings or you're a criminal alien that has committed some sort of crime, makes you a risk to the country. so these are all cases that have gone through the legal process in some format. these are just not people that are going through the process to become citizens or asylum claims. so that's what they would be --
4:12 am
ainsley: well, and tom homan made a good point in that interview too. he said if you secure our border, your -- you're going to save lives. that's' the bottom hine here. we don't want the fentanyl crossing our border, we don't want criminals or terrorists coming over. he also said he's ready to take the handcuffs off of i.c.e. because they haven't been able to do their job. brian: right. and also on the wall, they're building the wall, drone, there's a lot of high-tech. and just quick, i think the self-deportation that mitt romney was mocked for, they said if you make things really tough when you get here with e-verify, people begin to not come or leave. and according to an immigration attorney, he goes, it's causing if migrants to leave on their own knowing that they're going to be deported or they could go back and go to mexico. because if you're in cuba and venezuela, you don't want to go back, i get it. it's not our problem, but i get it. they're going to look for another south american country. and remember, that's why a lot of them ended up in panama.
4:13 am
they realized they couldn't get in here, they ended up staying. steve: well, you would probably rather be in control of your destiny rather than the federal government, and that's why people are heading south or elsewhere. after the report leaked in the "wall street journal," i.c.e. made 150 arrests. they are still missing 864 fugitives. so when it does eventually begin, those 864 are going to b. ainsley: they'll be the first. lawrence: i don't know who leaked that, but that was a dumb move, to leak that to the press of the different locations that i.c.e. is -- i understand the reporter has to do their job, but whoever is in the administration that leaks it, you put the cops at risk when you start telling the locations that they're going to be. when they do fugitive apprehensions, those are some of the most dangerous situations, and we're dealing with criminals that have nothing to lose because they're going to get deported. so they have weapons, they fight the cops. it's just a dangerous situation which is why the administration
4:14 am
would prefer that the local cops take them in and just transfer them over. brian: meanwhile, 13 minutes after the hour. riewrns lawrence a fox news alert for you. the ceasefire agreement between israel and and a hamas is now in effect after a slight delay in the deal overnight. steve: okay. so three hostages, all women, are set to be released in just a couple of hours as part of the first phase of the new deal. ainsley: chief, our chief foreign correspondent trey yingst joins us now from tell avive. hey, trey. >> reporter: hey, guys, good morning. after 470 days of war, the second ceasefire agreement with of this conflict went into place in this morning. now, there was a bit of a delay in implementing the agreement. hamas failed to hand over the list of hostages that are set to be released today. this prompted the israelis to conduct a series of airstrikes across both northern and central gaza. hamas has now released those names of three women who are all believed to be alive, rom if i

gonen who was kidnapped from the music festival, emily, a british-israeli, and doron. on a briefing last night, an israeli official said the women will be transferred paris to the red cross and then the idf. they'll be taken to one of three reception points and transported the a local hospital. today we're getting striking maim images if from inside gaza showing gunmen in white pickup trucks, an indication the group is not defeated as a some israeli officials have tried to explain. here in israel there is hope for the first time in so many months. laterred today we do expect these hostages to be reunited with their loved ones here in israel. guys? brian: hey, trey, do you have a sense of what we're going to get a chance the see the hostages -- when? is it going to be after they go through the red cross and get evaluated for the degree of trauma they've been through? >> reporter: yeah, we'll have to wait and see. previously, the red cross was
4:16 am
not very empathetic to the hostages that were released in november of 2023, and they went through the streets of gaza. and people were cheering and jeering, throwing rocks and banging on windows of these vehicles as they drove through gaza. the israelis have requested to the red cross that this be done in a lower profile way to avoid such scenes, but those were the first images we saw during the first ceasefire about 50 days into the war. this time though we do know according to the israeli military the hostages are going to be brought to a reception point that sits along border between israel and gaza. there are three separate points, we are told by an israeli official, because they don't know exactly where they're going to be released inside the strip. at which point they're going to be evaluated by a team of psychologists, by army professionals ensuring that they're safe and in a location where they're secure, and then they will be transferred to a hospital here in central israel. we do expect to get some images along the way, but we don't know exactly where they'll be. steve: and, trey, quick question
4:17 am
for you. we know that steve witkoff who is incoming president trump's emissary in that region was involved in the negotiations toward the end of things. are the people of to israel optimistic that president trump, once he a takes office, might be able to do more things to get this, you know, all the hostages out more than joe biden did? >> reporter: absolutely. look, the incoming trump administration objectively played a critical role in getting this agreement done. steve witkoff was in doha meeting with the negotiating teams. we've talked with number of sources close to these conversations, and they say the pressure got the ball across the line. and this is important here because as we look forward, this is a three-phase deal. and with president-elect trump taking office tomorrow, the entire region is going to be looking very closely at what the incoming foreign policy is going to be as it relates to israel and the middle east. and this deal will just start to be implemented. as we look forward, it's
4:18 am
important to consider here these won't be the last conversations taking place in qatar. this is just the first phase of deal. and if it goes forward as planned, 33 hostages, some of them dead, some alive, will be released from gaza. but again, the bottom line here, this is a deal that is incredibly delicate. and if hen how see -- when you see those images inside gaza of fighters with weapons on the backs of wheat pickup trucks, it raises real questions about the past 15 months of war and what was accomplished from a military perspective. one final point here when we talk about the relation to the u.s. administration. you heard president biden talk about the deal that is on the table that was implemented this morning. it's pretty much the same deal that was on the table last may. what changed? there's a new president tomorrow, and there's a real clear indication in the region that things are going to shift in terms of the foreign policy of the united states in support of the israeli government here in the middle east. brian: absolutely. thanks so much, trey. on top of that too, the holding back, the the underreported
4:19 am
story. because it didn't work to israel's interest the bring it up, how many weapons systems and weapons were held back from the israelis, some of which would have done -- saved lives because they'd have been able to attack hamas right away, but they thought the weaponry was too heavy for the region and the area. that, i don't think, is going the happen at all with pete hegseth, the secretary of defense, and marco rubio as secretary of state. ainsley: trey was saying earlier that the next group to be released probably three or four from the humanitarian group, because they, you know, the women. brian: right. ainsley: they'll be released next weekend, if and he said this'll go on -- didn't he say six weeks? brian: 42 days. a. ainsley: how many hostages are still there? brian: 33 still alive, about 98 on the total roster. lawrence: i think the big concern is hamas is going to reconstitute. they've got more war fighters. they're going the plan something else. brian: here's the good news --
4:20 am
lawrence: there's an add a martian that's willing to push back -- administration, so that gives me hope -- ainsley: he said all hell will break loose. brian: where does the financing come from? lawrence: iran. brian: and who's gnat on their back right now with no missile defense -- lawrence: iran. brian: iran. and if we don't stop 'em. iran's on a fast pace to within a matter of weeks to having a nuclear a weapon. i'm pretty sure that is the red line for president trump more than any other world leader. you bring up nuclear weapons, that's when he takes action. steve: meanwhile, speaking of president trump, he's going to take the oath of office right under the rotunda which is live behind us right now, about 30 hours from right now. and it's interesting, given the fact that they're only going to be able to get 5, maybe 600 people in there, there's going to be a lot of members of congress who are not going to be there, in attendance. we don't know whether or not the tech bros are going to to be there. they're trying to whittle down
4:21 am
the list. we do know, however, that the president has already heard from senator bernie sanders because there's an op-ed on foxnews.com that was published 20 minutes ago. and, essentially, we know what bernie sanders has stood for through the years. he actually has has a plan, he does a little road map on places in the trump agenda where he agrees with trump, and then he's got some red lines on things he will not go for. and so, essentially, it's the game plan for a lot of democrats. ainsley: so let's start with what he will work with trump to do. he says i look forward to working with president trump on legislation that would end the absurdity of americans paying by far the highest price in the world for prescription drugs. brian: good. ainsley: president trump stated he wants to cap credit card interest rates at 10%, he's right. i will soon be introducing bipartisan legislation to protect americans from being ripped off by the credit card industry and look forward to his support. i look forward to working with

the trump administration if on new trade policies that will protect american workers and create good paying jobs in our country. brian: so what he won't work with him on is he wants the raise minimum wage, and scott bessent does not. engaging in mass deportations, he does not want to do that. he says about 20 million people in this country, many of whom have lived and worked here virtually their entire lives, part of our economy, he's not for that. bessent went on to say that he needed the raise the minimum wage, bessent says, i don't think so. i'm going to let the states decide what to do with that. i look forward to working with president trump when he stands with working families of this country. i will oppose him when he represents the needs of billionaires. that's' fine. that's all you want. when you have an opportunity to work with him, don't give him the heisman. and you pick those spot spots. and if senator schumer is going to be oppressive and try to keep his caucus down, they've got to push back because guys like

fetterman, if they don't do anything that trump wants to do, he's not going to get reelected. lawrence: i think fetterman is more in the mainstream than bernie sanders. brian: absolutely. lawrence: for example, when it comes to the border, that he only wants to focus on the criminals. obviously, that's the main priority, but the fact is, 10 million people crossed this border in the last administration. all of them are in the going to be able to stay. he talked about the minimum wage. donald trump is fighting for the worker. he's giving them no tax on the tips, no if tax when it comes to the overtime. a he's working -- so you may not get the minimum wage, but at least you getting something -- brian: bernie sanders might help him with the tips. lawrence: exactly are. then he goes to the climate -- that stuff is over. there will be clean opportunity for energy, but we're drilling. and we're going to drill a lot in this next administration. brian: you know what they say? he says if you have clean energy, if you have an alternative electric car, do it on your own without subsidies. i'm not going to put my foot on

the scale. let the american people make a choice. steve: ultimately, what bernie sanders is doing, he is realistic. he's a realistic politician. he knows that the republicans will have unified government. they're going to control both chambers of that building and the white house as well. and so what he's doing is he's saying, look, i'm one of the 60 votes in the senate that you're going to need to get anything through. so he just gave the president a list of stuff he will help the president get through. the other list? not gonna happen in the senate. ainsley: i love the the idea of interest rates being lowered for credit cards, because a lot of people, after inflation and what we've been through over the last few years with high prices, put things on their credit card -- can. lauren:s donald trump supports. that's. ainsley: sometimes the interest rate can be in the 20s. higher sometimes? steve: it varies. you've got to read the small print. brian: which nobody does. fox fox news alert, the long-e way awaited ceasefire that that goes into effect for the hostages, and hamas says the
