fox news alert we are continuing live coverage from commander-in-chief all right here in our nation's capital. we are expecting donald trump the president of the united states first lady melania trump any moment. joining us now with more on all of today's breaking news our very own kevin corke is standing by. i can actually see him where i am from. he has a much better view than i do. kevin? >> i am lucky, shawn, i have a great view because i am a little bit elevated above your position but i can tell you you have had some great guest tonight throughout the evening a wonderful opportunity for all of us to celebrate what is clearly a momentous evening here and in the nation's capital. you know i have been to a great number of inaugural balls in my career but i can tell you going all the way back to the george w. bush era they are all unique. as you well know. but tonight i have seen more emotion and this building in this crowd than i have ever seen
7:02 pm
in the inaugural ball. i think there is a good reason for that. usually, sean, balls like this reflect the mood of the nation. in many ways you were coming out of the military event or if you have a malaise in your economy it can really impact the way people see the night. today are so repeatedly and in this room a great deal of optimism. a number of people really truly feeling like the best is yet to come. tonight whether you are a black officer, and admiral, a general rule, the pfc in back, you are here tonight all for this shining moment to celebrate the commander-in-chief. >> sean: kevin corke joining us. hang on i am looking i just got an update and apparently donald trump is he is 8 minutes coming? on top?

they are going to play games with you. nobody is playing games with that man. have a good time, everybody. say hello to everybody over there. a lot of friends and south korea. great job you look really sharp really special. you are a special guy. thank you very much. thank you. thank you very much. that is great, is in it? that is great. but you were great. thank you all very much have a great time. commander in chief this is the ball this is the big one. this is the first one i stop that i hope the other ones don't hear me say that. but this is the one. now we will cut a cake. and they say can you be very, very careful, sir? do not cut the plane of the cake cut the runway. i think that is a good idea. thank you very much we love you. >> the captain on the drill barge, united states air force, petty officer...
7:47 pm
>> sean: there is the president they will have the cutting of the cake and you have traveled abroad you have been with our troops all over the world and how special is that with the troops? >> it was so incredible it brought me to tears i can't believe i am here. my husband who was a war veteran, of wounded war veteran, who served this nation, there was no greater joy, sean, then when he was elected president. and now today on the inauguration to see all of the army veterans and military veterans. >> sean: or you looking? they are using a sword to cut that cake. >> they are. hopefully it is a marine. right? >> sean: you are right. your husband did suffer severe injuries while fighting for our country. you have been around the globe with our troops. >> afghanistan, around, pakistan, everywhere i went around the globe every military personnel i ever met has said
7:48 pm
especially from the first time president trump served and now coming back i could not be happier. i mean they were devastated at the end of afghanistan the withdrawal was so disastrous. we lost so many lives, so many american citizens, so many american allies abandon to, and it created a domino effect across the globe that emboldened leaders like vladimir putin and kim jong il so this is fantastic. here we go! >> sean: this party is about to get started. lisa boothe let's get your reaction to all of this. >> sean, i am so excited it is liberation day for the united states of america. and for these men and women in uniform they have been liberated. they have the new commander in chief. and you look at the downfall of the barge and administration. the withdrawal from afghanistan that led to
7:49 pm
the death of the 13 surface commanders. we have a new commander in chief that will be protected got on the cake after our nation. >> sean: how is it that donald trump brings back the village people from the 70s and it becomes the biggest hit and the country? >> to see the commander in chief there cutting the cake? hilarious. this room is rocking. all of these troops are so excited to be back. they are excited for the new direction with the ... >> sean: they all have their own style. it looks like melania his copy donald trump his style. and then j.d. is doing the old ymca. >> these men and women in uniform are having so much fun. they are dancing they are celebrating their new commander in chief and a new day for america, american revival. that is what they are
7:50 pm
celebrating. >> i wish every american could be in this room tonight. i know they are with us. they are with us spirit and soul of. but this is the greatest day. it truly is. the golden age. and the vindication. >> sean: what a great way to start his inaugural address today our love that. >> amazing. it was amazing. >> sean: it was getting to present in our country between the borders on the economy. good grief. enough. >> like let me get to work. i have these executive orders and we will move forward. that is great. >> sean: answering more questions than joe biden answered in four years without a script. without somebody to pull him away, right? >> i mean who knows what joe biden is going to go on to do. but that's in, we have just experienced a very dark chapter of american history. i don't think we understand the depths of the corruption we saw as evidenced by him pardoning his family on the way out. but you know what? we have a new chapter in
7:51 pm
american history. donald trump said today liberation day that god saved him so he can save america. that is what is happening this celebration, are men and women who sign onto save our country, to serve our country, but their lives at risk. >> sean: that is what makes this fall i think there is a lot of really good balls. a lot of good performers who have been playing. but to see these men and women who sacrifice everyday i think that is what makes it special. i think that is why the presidents came here first. >> you know, sean, yesterday the president went to arlington ceremony before he was sworn in today. he went to the tomb of the unknown soldier which is the most famous memorial in the cemetery and it represents the sacrifice of the past and the modern times. and he takes responsibility very seriously. being commander in chief the most important decision of the most solemn to make assenting troops into harm his way. he does not want to do that but he will protect
7:52 pm
the country. >> sean: very clear and i don't think those hostages would have been released yesterday if he did not say all would break loose. >> absolutely he is full of strength and he is sending a message across the globe. you know something. these are people willing to lay everything on the line. willing to lay their lives on the line. and he experienced that himself. >> sean: he did. >> he understands that sacrifice sometimes comes unexpectedly and she was blessed by god. he was blessed by god to survive that assassination attempt. and i think that he has a renewed a feeling of like this is america. a renewed america. these are people willing to give up everything. why not come here first. show them that kind of same respect. >> one thing is j.d. vance as a marine corps veteran. when he was sworn in today at the capitol in the rotunda he put his hand on the bible that his grandfather gave him the day he left for the marine corps. so for this to come together tonight for him
7:53 pm
full circle really is quite an example of the american dream. >> sean: by the way i lost all control of the show. earlier when it was judge jeanine and harris and ainsley talking about fashion. and i am way out of my league here. >> you are telling me you don't have a lot of fashion sense, sean? i think you were good. you like your genes. you were like a regular guy. >> be glad you were not wearing heels of right now. >> killing us. >> sean: my feet feel fine except it was a little bit cold walking over. >> barrie colts. -- very cold to. >> sean: i do not want that problem. >> do you feel like america has been saved? >> it does. >> we have a weight lifted off our shoulders a celebration. i don't recognize our country over the past four years. >> sean: hard to point it out and then last year it was so hard and it is like you don't know nine years of
7:54 pm
demonizing i have to let you all go. >> see you, sean. >> sean: we have other guests. you are all amazing. thank you. for being so patient. we are flying by the seat of our pants all night but it has been a lot of fun. >> thank you, sean. >> army veteran wounded in afghanistan thank you for being here and thank you for being here. >> sean: well so amen. katie, lisa, sarah. donald trump, by the way, now making his way to the liberty ball which is literally downstairs from this ball. it is only day one of the trump presidency. according to donald trump his press secretary karoline leavitt earlier today he signed 42 executive orders, memorandums, proclamations, for a total of more than 200 executive actions plus 115 personnel actions and 16 minutes of oppressive q&a.
7:55 pm
when has joe biden ever done 60 minutes of oppressive q&a? and a new insider advantage poll found that 56% of americans approve of donald trump his job performance has he starts his new turn -- term as president. by the way, grab your microphone behind you, sir. matches with us and steve and kaylee mcghee white. 56% approval rating for donald trump? >> the inoculation speech today it was a good call. went up two points periods greatest approval rating highest approval rating of the transition. right now to be honest with you i think that he is in the best position he has ever been on. this entire time both presidencies. >> sean: this was a special ball.
7:56 pm
this was the military, this was his first stop. then we had the satellite which was great. head looks like flats will be coming out and playing any minute here. i love my friends from rascal flatts. they are great. >> i think it is great especially being here. my brother has been in the navy the past six years there such an overwhelming love among their military service members for this president because he knows that -- they know that he has their backs. each anyone they cares about every single one of them. you see this in his appointment of pete hegseth how he generally wants the -- genuinely wants the defense secretary to understand how he serves and what makes our defense department is so important. so great to see everybody here you can feel the enthusiasm. especially among our armed forces. >> sean: he also went into the field and republicans have a very thin margin. and what the president is doing now he did not
7:57 pm
do on his own. but you will need congressional approval. >> exactly right. >> sean: but they have the house at the senate albeit a small margin. the answer is they have to unite they will went together or loose together. and we will know because tomorrow night i will have speaker johnson we will have a town hall with all of these guys. what are people telling you. what does your polo show? that people want congress to do. >> they will have a pulled out tomorrow but i have seen early numbers it is overwhelming. they want members of congress to follow donald trump his lead and get his agenda through rather than go his own way -- their own way. by a very substantial margin. they want congress to act as one. mixer donald trump gets his agenda and his people. that is very simple. i was really shocked it was that substantial but it is really overwhelming. >> sean: it really is overwhelming. when you think of if he
7:58 pm
is able to accomplish this we got into this a little bit and last night show and secure the border for the criminals and the terrorists on the cartels and the murderers and it. if he is able to make this energy dominant the richest country on earth and also rebuild our military and get the next generation of warfare that is so transformative in my mind. >> that will go a long way towards him accomplishing today which he said he wants his legacy to be which is the peacemaker on the unifier. simply making energy making america vibrant again. economically prosperous, giving people a reason to hope, giving people a reason to pursue the american dream. he accomplishes all of that it is actually very simple. and you think about what we have been spared from. you think about the pardons that came out for biden his family members today. that was the gloves off momenta that revealed exactly what they would have done with power if they got it for another four years.
7:59 pm
>> sean: you already poll joe biden pardoning hunter that was a disaster. >> what is incredible is he did these preemptive pardons. i think his numbers would be even worse tomorrow but i do not have to pull him again tomorrow. >> sean: you already know the answer. >> don't need to. no approval rating to do any longer. >> sean: i did not think the world will hear much from joe biden moving forward. i think donald trump will dominate the news and to watch and give a 60 minute queue and day unscripted without a staffer stopping him i think tells us even the media that does not like him they should be grateful they finally have access again. >> absolutely even when he was signing the executive orders he was terrific with the press. there is no boundary, there is no barrier to access to him. i think that is what the public so appreciates he is so transparent about who he is, what he hopes to accomplish, and they see hope in that. >> sean: they do.
8:00 pm
what are we going to look for? if he got all of that accomplished today how do you top that tomorrow. >> i have no idea and i don't even want to this has been such an overwhelming day for all of us. a long road to come with you and see how the selection would turn out. and we saw it in the last week or two. you could have imagined three years ago we will be back where we are today. >> sean: three presidential elections in a row you called that you deserve a lot of credit. anyways, guys, good to see you. appreciate you being with us. the party will continue. it looks like rascal flatts will be performing. that is all the time we have left this evening thank you for being with us. do not forget our town hall tomorrow and we will have that with the speaker johnson and other republicans. stay with fox news channel continuing coverage throughout the night. thank you for being with >> trace: at 8:00 p.m. on the west coast 11:00 here in the nation's capital and t
