11:00 pm
an awful lot about blowing up the white house, madonna and all of that. >> the women's march, the day after, some of us had to be in the streets for that, got stuck in the middle of it. >> i'm like covering my head like a mask. >> i saw that protest they just had. it was the saddest protest, maybe of all protest time. it was awful. yeah, truly awful and embarrassing. >> well, honestly, to share all of it, all of this night with you guys, you have been on the show all year fighting for this, hoping for this, and here we are. >> so congratulations to you. you made it happen too. >> well, you know, i'm just happy for the i'm happy for the country i did. >> yeah he did. >> donald trump put it on the line. give him. all right. we appreciate all three of you. all right. we have a lot more to get to. we expect donald trump first lady melania trump coming up next. but i do have some good news. we have a second hour that is about to start right here right now. and we start with the fox news alert. we are continuing our
11:01 pm
live coverage from the commander in chief ball right here in our nation's capital. we are expecting donald trump, the president of the united states, first lady melania trump any moment. all right. joining us now with more on all of today's breaking news. our very own kevin corke is standing by. i can actually see him in in where i am from. and he's got a much better view than i do. >> kevin, you know what? i'm lucky, sean, i do have a great view because i'm a little bit elevated above your positioning. but i can tell you you've had some great guests tonight here throughout the evening. a wonderful opportunity for all of us to celebrate what is clearly a momentous evening here in the nation's capital. you know, i've been to a great number of inaugural balls in my career, but i can tell you, going all the way back to the george w bush era, they're all unique, sean, as you well know. but tonight i have seen more emotion in this building, in this crowd than i have ever seen at an inaugural ball. and
11:02 pm
i think there's a real good reason for that. usually sean balls like this reflect the mood of the nation in many ways. here in the nation's capital, you're coming out of a military event, or if you've had a malaise in your economy, it can really impact the way people see the night and how they view moving forward. today, i saw repeatedly and in this room a great deal of optimism. a number of people really, truly feeling like the best is yet to come. and tonight, whether you are a flag officer, an admiral or a general, or if you're a pfc over there in the back, you are here tonight. all one for this shining moment to celebrate the commander in chief, sean. >> all right kevin corke joining us. and well hang on i'm looking i just got an update. and apparently donald trump is eight. oh he's eight minutes coming. we heard the helicopter. oh. on top. yes. oh
11:03 pm
i didn't know the helicopter. by the way. we're live on the air, ladies. we are. oh, yeah, we are. hello. yeah, but don't worry. you haven't been on. yeah, you have to pick up your microphone. all right, so i just got word kevin corke. thank you. as always. we are rejoined by the co-host of the number one hit show the five. jeanine pirro, fox and friends co-host the top rated morning show host morning show in america cable news show. ainsley earhart, the host of the faulkner focus. our friend harris faulkner. of course, a big part of outnumbered. we watch every day during my radio show. all right. it's great to see you all. to donald trump is going to be here in about seven minutes, and there's probably going to be, well, what will we expect? they're going to dance. >> they're going to dance, by the way. >> wait, wait. here's my question. is it going to be this dance or ymca dance? >> oh no, i think he's going to dance with melania. and then he'll leave by the ymca dance. he's got to do the couples dance. okay? and i can't wait
11:04 pm
to see what she's wearing. i mean, they've got to be exhausted. >> by the way, there's no guy at home saying, i wonder what donald trump's going to be wearing. oh, no no, no, not okay. >> so talk about the fashion. if we want to talk about fashion. we watched the second speech when he when he finished the ceremony and then he went to the another crowd. was that inside the white house or was that inside center? okay, okay. so he goes and he speaks to this group and he says, y'all are my big supporters. y'all are real maga. after the it was right after that wasn't a luncheon. it was there. so he says, because y'all are my good friends and y'all have supported me all along. i shouldn't say this. so of course john and i are like, what? i shouldn't say this, but melania's feet are killing her. but she heard y'all were going to be here and she said, okay, let's go. and when she walked out, she was wearing, i think they were five inches. oh she had oh really high five inches. yeah. and i can do for i have one pair of five six on outnumber. do you really.
11:05 pm
>> oh i do six. but i'm perched i wear my skechers to sit do i so do i, i could fit y'all. >> i walked a mile and a half last night in five inch heels. you know what? >> can i say something? i just want to tell the audience at home. and president trump is apparently, we're told, five minutes out. i am not a part of this conversation. sean. >> sean. sean. sean, let me just finish the last thing i want to say. i loved it because she looked at him like, i'm going to kill you when we get home. but she kind of smirked and went like this, but i thought, she's real. she is, because she's so gorgeous. a lot of people looking at you. you can't, you can't. >> it's so true. >> you've spent a lot of time with her lately. >> you have. >> i love her and she said she's going to going to be at the white house. >> she said she's going to be at the white house. yes. so she's outfitting the white house. she's a beautiful decorator. if you look at the pictures in her book, she decorated all of those rooms. it's beautiful. >> you know what i noticed as you were trying to tell us where he was? he's been so many
11:06 pm
places. you can't keep up with him. and i remember covering these events over the years. and not every commander in chief does every single occasion. senior enlisted. he's different. not every commander in chief, no one else in history signs executive actions at the ceremony while he's being after he's sworn in. >> and then at the arena. >> this day has been so different, and i know some of them things happen. oh, wait a minute, wait a minute. this is real. how many time? yes, here we go. i love those dress blues. >> it's like i'd say it again. >> what are you hearing? three minutes. >> you want to talk about style? >> look at these guys in their military uniforms. >> they're gorgeous. hi. >> how are you tonight? hey, guys. >> how blessed our families every day. >> family and friends. thank you. thank you to our first responders, our responders, our law enforcement, our fire professionals, and especially
11:07 pm
and especially our gold star families. >> they're just it's very hard because things got very loud in here very quickly. >> so welcome you all here. >> we know we now know that donald trump is about 2.5 minutes, three minutes out from here. all right i'll let you go back to the fashion discussion okay. >> and can i say one thing. go ahead. so when marine one was above this building, our hearts fluttered because it sounds like something's landing, and this building is huge. we knew immediately where he was. and that was a countdown of about ten minutes ago. and as i was saying before, he is making every single stop he got behind off the top of today when we did our special edition of faulkner focus, he was catching up and by the time it was time for swearing in, they were back on schedule. it's impressive. >> yeah, well, you know what? he's got more energy than anyone his age. not only that, and she is. well, the whole family has been going since, what, 6:00 this morning?
11:08 pm
>> oh, 100 or so busy, all of them with the kids and dressing up. >> but think of all that they've been through. i mean, there's not been a family that has been persecuted or attacked or vilified or demonized or unfairly treated. >> look what god did. look what god did. he answered our prayers. >> he did, he did, he did. and americans heard, by the way, not cnn. they're next door. >> they don't look happy. >> by the way, i looked over at their monitor. it's funny, they had on jamie raskin. >> i'm like, yeah, the last person who should be speaking. that's the last person hiding under a rock. >> i wanted to ask you something because you have spent some time with melania. i think in your first interview a few weeks ago, you would ask her about the assassination attempts on his life, and i was noticing today he wants to rename go from denali and alaska back to mount mckinley. mckinley was assassinated in the early 1900s. and you have someone who's had two attempts
11:09 pm
on his life. and i think that's huge. i think that it won't be a big argument about whether or not they switch it back. but, you know, she's talked about that issue she has. >> and it's something that, of course, they think about, but they try not to focus on it. but she he said a bullet ripped through my ear. and then trump said that he was saved by god to make america great again. so i want everyone at home to continue to pray for his safety, because our prayers can prevent this. god will answer our prayers and listen to us. >> it's an important point and we forget this. there wasn't one assassin. there were two. >> that's right. >> one got within 130 yards, one got within 300 yards. and here's the other part. there are iranian assassination squads in our country right now, but we don't know where they are. >> and the sad part about it, sean, is when you look at those two assassination attempts, they could have been amateur whether they were or were not, we don't know. but he was so vulnerable in both situations. it is stunning that the secret
11:10 pm
service didn't have him better protected in both situations. >> it's inexcusable. >> it's frightening the consequence because where do you go? they still haven't unearthed those encrypted messages. this is a kid with communications in europe. >> to me, the communist chinese were able to hack into everybody in trump world. right. >> and the bottom line is that if they wanted to, they're getting their cameras in place. >> look at this. they're making around the stage. i didn't mean to cut you guys off, but we don't want to miss the action here. so they just came around. every camera in here, outside of the ones that are on, on the dais up here, just pulled around to the front of the stage. the commander in chief is perched someplace. sorry. >> as you were, as you. as you were. >> yeah. sorry. >> okay. no, but the truth is that we're now going to find out about that assassination attempt. both of them. why was the body of crook's cremated? what was the point of all that? how is it?
11:11 pm
>> how is it the communist chinese and the iranians can hack into the trump emails and phones? but. and a lot would be. and a lot of our folks, oh, i know a lot of people whose phones they've hacked into, too. but here's the thing. and there was six separate times, six separate phones that one assassin had. and our fbi can't hack into their phone. >> what does that tell you that tells you possibly that they either don't want to or that's about to change? yeah, that is going to change. >> sean curran will do a good job. i have a lot of faith in him. >> yeah. he was the very tall. and you know, he's with him all the time. the family met him. he was at the all women town hall and he was right up there on he's always there, but he's got eagle eyes who held him up? >> he's got those eagle eyes. you see him all the time. he's always looking. >> yeah, i just loved i loved listening to his speech, talking about everything he's going to reverse and watching joe biden and kamala harris slink in their chairs. >> yes.
11:12 pm
>> like, can we can we talk? i know you don't want to spend a lot of time on biden, but his absenteeism and his bitterness were on full display today. >> we haven't talked about carrie underwood, god bless her. oh, she did a great job. >> great job. absolutely, absolutely. yes. >> she handled that with grace that what's going on? >> she just went full on acapella. she's phenomenal. that was really amazing. >> and you know what? she didn't look upset. she didn't look angry. she was like, oh no music okay. yeah. well that's her time. >> i love the military element. a lot of military today. >> oh here we go. i think the president. here we go. >> sean, look at all the phones. look at all the phones. >> i want to get a picture of that. so here's what's
11:14 pm
going to happen. we continue with judge jeanine, ainsley earhart and harris faulkner. so the president and first lady will do the first dance, yes. which is appropriate. obviously. they will then be joined by the vice president and his wife. then we're going to get remarks from the president. and the first lady will stand beside him at the lectern. then there's going to be a cake cutting ceremony under the seal of the potus and vice potus, which. so that's about to happen. >> that's called resilience. >> is that what that's called? yes. >> and they'll be in their high heels. >> well, i wonder what kind of cake it is. >> why are we back on fashion again? because it's such a long fashion icon on the set. >> i want to see what she's wearing. come on. >> i never thought i'd be ryan seacrest on the red carpet.
11:15 pm
that's what i feel like tonight. i mean, you have an icon. >> she is an icon. and it's about time. america. you know, the magazines the designers recognized. she's one of the most magnificent first ladies. >> oh, here we go. oh, yeah. he's here. the party's getting started. >> should we stand? everybody else is standing. >> you can stand. you can do whatever you want. oh, good. >> as long as you don't fall off. >> you know what is amazing? and this is so different. if you look, you can see the camera. i don't know if they can pan down a little bit. everybody's got their phone out. everybody's recording us. you know it's really an amazing experience. all right. so you spent a lot of time talking about fashion and obviously you i think secretly you love it. >> no i know nothing about fashion. >> we talked about it in the last hour. but if people are just joining us, all three of the ladies here next to you, sean, we agreed. melania looked spectacular. so sophisticated
11:16 pm
with her. she looks she looked like audrey hepburn. >> oh my god. you know what's amazing? >> if you go back to 2017 and she had on that blue powder blue the ralph lauren. and how many people made the comparison to jackie o back in the day, right. >> yeah. you know what? she's so far past jackie o. at this point i kind of agree. i mean, we've got four years of spectacular elegance class and a real love for fashion, you know? >> you know, what's amazing, too, is when you meet melania and you talk to her, and we've all had a chance to be with her. she's so smart. english is her sixth language. >> harris. oh, i know, and their child is so smart, too. i mean, between having her father, i met her was a mogul in business, but also a president, 45 and now 47, and she was home with him. and you talked about her wanting to spend maybe a little bit more time in the white house. well, he's in college, he's at nyu. i can't go on without mentioning the men and the women in our military who are in this room right now. i mean, it is
11:17 pm
humbling to see their level of service all night long. ainsley, jeanine, all of us. we've been talking with these warriors. they love our country. i think that this commander in chief is good for recruitment. we're going to need it. >> by the way, i agree with you on all of that. this room literally preserves freedom. amen. the people in this room. yes. and i've had so many conversations with pete and with steve feinberg and with other people in the military about. and i even had an opportunity to get brief thoughts from elon musk about the next generation of warfare. what a what i will contribute to building out that new technology, which is going to be amazing. but these are the warriors that protect us. and one thing people do, not only will we build up the military, we'll eliminate woke. and i think pete hegseth is going to be the greatest recruitment tool because his his passion is
11:18 pm
infectious. >> sean, i talked to my dad earlier tonight and he was texting me during the speech and he said so many of his friends are in the military. his father was in the navy in world war two. my other grandfather was too, and he said he was receiving so many text messages from his friends who said they were in tears. they loved the military presence and they said, so many of our dads either gave up the best years of their lives in their late teens or early 20s, to go and fight for our country. what they saw is indescribable. and he said some of them didn't come home. he said. so to hear donald trump say, we're going to put america first again brought them all to tears. and now we're at the military ball. >> i asked steve, steve feinberg, he runs cerberus. he's a multibillionaire. and i said, steve, why would you leave this company? you know, a multi, multi billion dollar company? he said, sean, my father slammed the beaches of normandy. it's the least i can do. >> you know, these are people
11:19 pm
who really love this country, sean. you understand it? sure. i mean my father, my grandfather, you know, my father was one of the first ship in nagasaki. >> he saw the plume stop you for one second. trump is in the building. yes. and we should be hearing him come out any minute. but go ahead. go back to your dad. yeah. >> and, you know, he suffered and had had brain cancer and had cancer from it. but you know what? every day we have that american flag flying in front of our home. and it doesn't matter if you're rich or poor or famous or not famous, if you truly love this country, you will give up the money. you will give up all the status to do something for the men and women in this room and the country. ultimately, everyone in this room has really volunteered to give their life up. they really have for us. >> my father, like so many in the greatest generation, he signed up. he fought for years in the pacific. and look at the guys. if you watch the movie saving private ryan, it does. it helps capture just the
11:20 pm
absolute. yeah. you know, horror of it, the courage, the courage when you're pulling up and you see nothing but red water from blood shed by your fellow americans, and you have to swim in that water, and you have the low ground and you're being shot at by an enemy that is slaughtering thousands of people. and they did it and they won and they were victorious. >> and, you know, one of the things that a lot of people in the military who weren't necessarily pro-trump saw when trump got shot. yeah. and he stood up and said, fight, fight, fight. my friends in the military contacted me and said, i've seen men shot in war. nobody gets up like that. no, this is a man who is the ultimate fighter. yeah. and he showed us what it means to fight for this country, you know. >> and there's been when you really think about there are a lot of things in life i think we all take for granted. all of
11:21 pm
us realize. but there are times when we do get introspective and times when we do reflect. and i'm looking around this room and you see these highly decorated men and women. >> that's absolutely right. >> and then you also see the privates in the room and, and the young people that are serving their country. and you see the joy on their face. and this for them is this is an all volunteer military. harris. >> what you're talking about the leadership in the room. and when you spend time with them tonight, what you hear them say is we've waited for a commander in chief. i mean, these are the men and women who've been around for 20, 25 years. they need to know that their legacy will be preserved with all of those they're leading now. they need someone at the helm who understands their sacrifice. loves the country. wait. it's broken out. >> usa a huge chant usa. you feel the energy. hi, how are you? >> big day chanting usa. yeah, we're talking about the price of freedom. really? and that's.
11:22 pm
and that's the price. >> the ultimate price that they're willing to pay it. the price of entry. >> well, and we all are too. i mean we have to be we have to be ready. we have to, as i say, stay ready so you don't have to get ready. so what part can we play? 20% of our current police officers. those departments across the country are former military. we have military in our communities. thank them, support them. and those veterans can be part of protecting our civilian communities and pitching in to bring in new recruits. we have the resources. we just need the leadership. >> well, you also need better policies. and this was on the ballot in november. that was defund, dismantle, no bail laws. how's that working out in small towns and big cities and big cities? >> who said he's going to restore integrity, competency and loyalty in american government? and he went through what it was under joe biden. he said, a crisis of trust, a radical, corrupt establishment provides sanctuary and protection for dangerous
11:23 pm
criminals that have entered our country from all over the world. our country can no longer deliver basic services in times of emergency. >> yeah. >> you know, talking about the la fires in north carolina. >> so we're getting absolutely no guidance as to when he's coming out. i'm just telling the audience this is what live tv is all about. >> well, every time, every time the band plays another song and it gets louder, everyone lifts up their phones. >> no, i was told eight minutes, then i was told five minutes, then i was told three minutes. then i say one minute out. he's had a busy day. >> well, they they played the music that he would normally walk out to, you know, hail to the chief. and then they started playing like christmas songs or something. >> yeah. you know, one of the great things i've been doing radio for 35 years, it's all unscripted. it's all extemporaneous. unfortunately, i can talk for another four hours, which is not good for the audience at home. i know they'd rather see. >> what are you talking about? they listen to you for three hours a day. >> that's all i ask on television. that's not a lot. four hours a day. no, i want
11:24 pm
i'd be on nine hours on. >> everyone wants to hear what you have to say. oh, okay. okay. >> yeah, well, when we get into fashion talk, you lose me. >> see, you love it. >> i hear it in you. oh, my god. >> what did you think of melania's outfit? >> i thought, i think melania represents everything that is elegant, stunning, classy, understated. there's a certain quiet strength in her. >> oh, very strong, very strong woman. >> and i've also seen it because i've been around the two of them together. i won't give the details. i'll give a small story. and i once had the opportunity. i've known donald for 30 years now to have dinner, and at one point we'll go. everyone is going around the table and giving their opinion, and melania was the last person because she was sitting next to donald. she took by far the hardest position of anybody, and that
11:25 pm
was it. >> can i tell you, i met melania? yeah, before they were married, when they first started dating. right. and i remember sitting on donald's jet with his sisters and everyone was saying, she's the special one. melania was the independent one, the reserved one. she didn't throw herself at him. she maintained her class. we all knew that she was going to be the one that he would marry. >> i had a big fight with jimmy kimmel once because melania was reading a children's book. yes, to, you know, to these young kids. and he went on his low rated, soon to be canceled late night show. that's not funny. >> and he was now only four days a week, now four. >> well, they're on cancellation. watch all of those shows because they all suck. let's be honest, they are. well, sorry, i'm used to prime time. they they they're not funny. they're all
11:26 pm
political. the only one funny on late night television now is greg gutfeld. yes, absolutely. the only the only one worth watching is greg. and that's why i say, let not your heart be troubled. greg is going to put a smile on your face. so he made fun of her and i'm like, okay, if you want to have this fight, let's have it. because she speaks six languages, you can barely speak one. and you're not funny when you talk. so i went to twitter at the time. this is when i had access to my account. we it was world war three on twitter, and i went after him and i said, i will not stop until you apologize. and i kept hashtagging abc, disney and bob iger. >> and that was before the lawsuit. oh yeah, george stephanopoulos or whatever that was with millions. >> and eventually he he wanted it to go away. we've had enough false alarms. i'm not i'm not falling. here we go, here we go. >> i think it's real, sean. >> that would mean the time has
11:27 pm
11:28 pm
11:29 pm
by second lady usha vance. >> oh, hush, little baby, don't you cry. you know your daddy was. born to. die. but. all my trials. lord will soon be. over. >> please welcome sergeant tatiana saldana. >> all right, let's get some final thoughts. judge jeanine, your thoughts. >> elegance class all-american. a new dawn, a new era. the
11:30 pm
constitution is back, and it's back in beautiful style. >> ainsley. last word. >> i think she's she's sticking with the black and white. i love her dress. it's gorgeous. it's strapless. and usha looks beautiful in the blue sparkly gown. i like that, jd, i think just kissed her, which was really sweet. and they're taking a moment to honor the military. >> harris, you get the last word tonight. >> i love this. i feel so blessed and privileged to be with all of you in this moment. so grateful. intrepid. i think of that word. i think of that battleship right now. the future belongs to the intrepid. those who will fight, fight, fight. i want to adversarial. when? whether it's with the enemy, whatever it is. and they'll fight for us. this commander in chief gets it. these men and women appreciate it. and what a moment. >> thank you, harris. thank you, ainsley, and thank you, judge jeanine. let's go back and watch it live. donald trump
11:32 pm
>> well, thank you very much. this is a great honor. we have a lot of space force here, by the way. a lot of space force. we're very proud of the space force, but there's nowhere else i'd rather be tonight than with some of the greatest american patriots of all the men and women of the united states military. thank you very much. this is quite a gathering. it's
11:33 pm
a celebration because we're going to turn our country around. we're going to make america great again. i've had no higher privilege in life than to serve as your commander in chief. not once, but twice. and you're incredible. and the people of our the people of our country respect you. and they love you so much. you don't see it. you don't hear about it too much. but they love you just so much you wouldn't even believe it. so thank you very much. they're honored to have you. we're joined this evening by the service members from every branch of the u.s. armed forces, army, navy, air force, coast guard, marines, and space force. and i salute you all. let me also thank our incredible military spouses. what you have to put up with. they put up with a lot and
11:34 pm
family members here tonight. we have so many and so many brilliant families, and you do more than anyone else to support our nation's heroes. and on behalf of every american, i want to thank you very much. we have some people with us tonight. you know, we have the head of the republican party. and we won. and then she said, all right, dad, i think that's enough for me. now let's win and let's go to something else. she wants to get back to her beautiful babies, but she's married to a guy known as my son, eric trump. and laura was essentially chairman, along with michael whatley of the republican party. and they were tough. they weren't going to stand for any nonsense. and they did a fantastic job. and we won every single swing state. we won the you know, we won the popularity. we were the most popular candidate in a long time. and i have to tell
11:35 pm
you, with the military, we really won. we really won. i want to thank, obviously, a tremendous supporter of yours. and if i ever got out of line, she'd get me right back in line. when it comes to you, melania, first lady, she's been fantastic. first lady. and our vice president. you know him well. he's all about you. he's a big believer in our military, j.d. vance and russia. and i have other family members here. don's in there somewhere, and ivanka is there. where is ivanka? there's so many people, but we have a lot of family members. tiffany is here. barron was with us today. he's
11:36 pm
a tall one, i will tell you, and he's doing a good job. but today we celebrate the enduring strength and resilience of our glorious republic. and so it's highly appropriate that we also honor the men and women who keep us safe. and that's what you are. your bravery. your bravery inspires us. your service unites us and your sacrifice and spirit ps all. we made a little speech today. i think you probably saw it. who did see it or hear it? did anybody? well, i think we said a lot. and we said more than anything else that we love you, we respect you so much, and we have a big commitment to each and every one of you. starting today, america will be stronger and greater than it's ever been before, and that's happening fast. that was a big win. that was a tremendous win. we all worked hard for it, and a big part of the reason that i
11:37 pm
won was because of my relationship with you. so we appreciate it. under the leadership of our next secretary of defense, who i just saw, pete hegseth, who is fantastic. where is pete? i saw him backstage. i don't know so many people. how do you find anybody in this crowd? this is a big crowd. but if pete's around and pete can hear this, come on up here, pete. but we will again build the most powerful military the world has ever seen. we're going to have it. you know, we did that four years ago, and then it was a little bit dissipated. but we're going to do it again. but much bigger, much stronger than ever before. we're also doing the iron dome all made in america. we're going to have a nice iron dome. you're going to protect us with the use of the iron dome. instead of worrying about political agendas. you don't have to worry about that
11:38 pm
at all. there's only one focus defeating america's enemies. we're not going to be defeated. we're not going to be humiliated. we're only going to win, win, win. we're going to win, win, win. and we really do have some just incredible people working with us. so i've been looking around for generals like george patton, douglas macarthur, ulysses s grant. his stock has gone way up in the last 20 years, wouldn't you say, jt? they used to say bad things about him. now all of a sudden he's he's very well respected. but we all fight to win and we're going to win and we're going to win like never before. in many ways, economy, the economy is going to be strong. we're not going to let all of our nations, our friendly and unfriendly nations push us around for many standpoint, including the economy, because we have something that they don't have. we have a power that they don't have liquid gold under our feet, the likes of which no
11:39 pm
other nation has. yet. as i said in my inaugural address, we will measure our success not only by the battles we win, but also by the wars we end. and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into. it's called peace. through strength. we won't have to fight the war. >> right? >> we don't have to fight the wars. if we can do it without fighting. as long as we have total victory, we do it without fighting through our power and might. we will lead the world to peace. our friends will respect us. our enemies will fear us, and the whole world will admire the unrivaled greatness of the united states military. and i will tell you, we made big strides. we totally rebuilt the united states military. 2017, 2019, 2018. we rebuilt the entire u.s. military, and now we're going to do it again. a lot of it's
11:40 pm
been dissipated by people that don't know what the hell they're doing, but we're going to do it again. and this is going to be the dawn of the golden age of america. this is the golden age of america. and tonight i'm filled with optimism for what lies ahead over the next four years, we will replenish the pride of our armed forces, end the recruitment crisis. and by the way, the recruitment numbers are through the roof in the last two months. i wonder why. >> why? >> i don't know, why the hell are they through? you know, you're having a little problem with recruitment. that's not good. and now the numbers are higher than they've just about ever. you know why they love what they see for the future of our country. and they didn't love what they were seeing for the last four years. it was ridiculous. it's a big thing,
11:41 pm
actually. this big story is the recruiting has gone really through the roof. and that's good. i want to thank every service member here tonight and across the globe to know that you're at the heart of america's greatness. it's an exceptional honor to join you again in serving this magnificent nation that we all love and that we're going to make greater, better, bigger, stronger. we're going to make it something that even you will be surprised. you will see that. and it's going to be led by our great military, the strength of our military. we're going to make our military so strong that we don't have to use it. wouldn't that be good? we don't have to use it. they'll look at us and they'll say, there's no way. there's no way we're going after that one. so i want to just say to you, god bless you. god bless our armed forces. god bless our men and women serving overseas, and god bless the united states of america. thank you, thank you.
11:42 pm
>> thank you very much. god bless. usa. usa. usa. he was taking. >> all right. we'll continue our live coverage. we are at the commander in chief ball. we are in washington dc. i don't want to hold on. the president is talking. >> oh, here it comes. no, that's a cake. there they are. hello, everybody. how are we doing over there? how's kim jong un doing? how are you?
11:43 pm
>> how do you hear me? >> that's a good looking group of people, isn't it? thank you for being with us. >> how do you hear us? >> yes, i hear you. fine, sir. >> i'm lieutenant general chris laneve, commanding general, eighth army. and this is command sergeant major robert vollmer. we're based at camp humphreys, south korea, united states. bedrock of unmistakable land power on freedom's frontier in asia. protection of both homelands, sir. a profound honor to stand before you today, representing our incredible team here in korea. we're deeply grateful for this opportunity to be part of this occasion, sir, on behalf of the brave men and women who serve under my command and the thousands of dedicated service members that are part of the joint team in korea, congratulations on your victory as the 47th president of the united states. welcome back, mr. president. so we'd be privileged to host you here in korea soon. you can see
11:44 pm
firsthand totality of our soldiers here, how our formations are, our fight tonight focus and our ironclad commitment to the defense of korea and our homelands to meet the families who serve alongside our warfighters, sir pacific victor, sir. >> how about that? so, could i ask you, how is it going in south korea right now? how is it doing? you have somebody with pretty bad intentions, i guess. you know, you would say that although i developed a pretty good relationship with him. but he's a tough cookie. how is it going over there? how is it doing, sir? >> every day we train, we stay hard, and we plan for anything that you possibly could need us to do. the alliance is strong, and we're ready to receive you, mr. president. >> well, thank you very much. this is really this is this man central casting or what if i'm doing a movie, i pick him to
11:45 pm
play my lead. i want to thank you all very much. what a good looking group of people. and we are very secure when we have people like you in our military, and we're having a beautiful time in washington. we just had that great election that you alluded to. it was a big one. it was a very big win. we won everything. we won just about everything. the only thing that matters, though, is we won with the military, the likes of which nobody's seen before. so that's really good. but i would like to just thank you all and i'll see you soon. if anybody would like to make a statement, please do so. if you'd like to say something, you have a big group of people. we have all night, right? we have all night. if anybody would like to make a statement, go ahead. >> who was? >> sir, that is great. you see that they're not going to play games with you. that's good. i like to see that. nobody's
11:46 pm
playing games with that man. have a good time. everybody say hello to everybody over there. i have a lot of friends in south korea. and great job. you look really sharp, really special. and you are a special guy. thank you very much. thank you, thank you, thank you very much. that's great, isn't it? that's great, but you're great. thank you all very much. have a great time. commander in chief, this is the ball. this is the big one. this is the first one i stopped at. i hope the other ones don't hear me say that. but this is the one. and now we're going to cut a cake. and they said. could you be very, very careful, sir. don't cut the plane, which is cake. cut the runway. i think that's a good idea. thank you very much. we love you all. thank you very much. >> presenting the sabers to the president and vice president, captain abigail barge, united states air force petty officer, second class, united states
11:47 pm
coast guard. >> all right, there's the president. they're going to have the cutting of the cake. and, of course, those. sarah, you've traveled abroad, you've been with our troops all over the world. and how special was that with the troops? >> it was so incredible. >> it brought me to tears. i can't believe i'm here. my husband, who's a war veteran, a wounded war veteran who served this nation. there was no greater joy, sean, than when he was elected president. and now today, on the inauguration, to see all of the army veterans and military veterans out here from all the branches. >> are you looking? absolutely. they're using a sword to cut that cake. >> yes, they are, they are. >> hopefully it's a marine. >> hopefully it's a marine, right? it is. >> and you're right, your husband did suffer severe injuries while fighting for our country. but you have been around the globe with our troops, in afghanistan, iraq and pakistan. >> i can tell you it's everywhere i went around the globe, every military personnel i've ever met has said, and
11:48 pm
especially from the first time president trump served and now coming back, they couldn't be happier. >> i mean, they were devastated at the end of afghanistan. the withdrawal was so disastrous. >> we lost so many lives, so many american citizens, so many american allies abandoned. >> and it created a domino effect across the globe that emboldened leaders like vladimir putin and kim jong il. so this is fantastic party. now here we go. >> right. >> all right. this party is about to get started. lisa boothe, let's get your reaction to all of this tonight. >> sean, i'm so excited. it's liberation day for the united states of america and for these men and women in uniform. they have been liberated as well. they have a new commander in chief who if you look at the downfall of the biden administration, it was the withdrawal from afghanistan that led to the deaths of 13 service members.
11:49 pm
>> they have a new commander in chief that's going to be looking out for them, protecting them and our nation. >> how is it, katie pavlik, that donald trump brings back the village people from the 70s, and it becomes the biggest hit in the country, because everything he's touching lately is the biggest hit in the country. >> i mean, you see the commander in chief up there with the saber cutting a cake, it's hilarious. this room is rocking. all of these troops are so excited that he's back. katie vance, his vice president, is a marine. they're excited for a new direction. >> now they all they all have their own style. it looks like melania has adopted donald trump style. yes she has. everyone is having so much fun. and then jd is doing the old ymca also for the audience at home. >> these men and women in uniform are having so much fun. they are dancing. they are celebrating their new commander in chief. it's a new day for america and america revival. >> that's what we're celebrating tonight. lisa. i wish every american could be in
11:50 pm
this room tonight. i know they are with us. >> they are with us in spirit and soul and we're with them. but this is the greatest day. it truly is a golden age. >> and sean, a vindication. wasn't that a great way to start his inaugural address today? i love that, amazing. >> it was amazing. >> i mean, it was getting depressing in this country between our borders and the economy. i mean, good grief, it was enough. >> it was like, let me get to work. i've got these executive orders and we're going to move forward. >> and that was great. and then he's answering more questions than joe biden answered in four years without a script, without somebody pulling him away. right. >> well, i mean, who knows what joe biden's going to go on to do? but look what we've just experienced a very dark chapter of american history with joe biden. and i don't even think we understand the depths of the corruption that we saw, as evidenced by him pardoning his family on the way out. but you know what? we have a new chapter in american history. donald trump said today,
11:51 pm
liberation day, that god saved him so he could save america. and that's what's happening. that's what's happening tonight with this celebration, or men and women who sign up to save our country, to serve our country, to put their lives at risk, celebrating what makes this ball. >> i think there's a lot of really good balls here, a lot of fun balls. a lot of good performers have been playing. but to see this room and these men and women that sacrifice every day. yeah, i think that's what makes it special. i think that's why the president came here first. yes. that's what i was told by his team. >> yes. you know, sean, yesterday the president went to arlington cemetery before he was sworn in today, and he went to the tomb of the unknown soldier, which is the most famous memorial in the cemetery. and it represents the sacrifice in past wars and in modern times. and he takes its responsibility very seriously, being the commander in chief, the most important decision and most solemn decision he has to make is sending troops into harm's way. he doesn't want to do that, but he will protect
11:52 pm
the country. >> well, he was very clear, and i don't think those hostages would have been released yesterday if he didn't say all hell would break loose. >> absolutely. peace through strength. yeah. and he's sending a message across the globe. and you know something? these are people that are willing to lay everything on the line, willing to lay their lives on the line. >> and he experienced that himself. he understands that sacrifice sometimes comes unexpectedly. >> and he was blessed by god. he was blessed by god to survive that assassination attempt. and i think he has a renewed feeling of like, this is america, it's a renewed america. these are people that are willing to give everything. why not come here first, show them that kind of same respect. >> you know, one thing tonight too, is jd vance is a marine corps veteran. right. and when he was sworn in today at the capitol in the rotunda, he put his hand on the bible that his grandmother gave him the day he left for the marine corps. so for this all to come together tonight for him in full circle really is quite an example of
11:53 pm
the american dream for him. >> by the way, i lost all control of the show earlier. don't worry when it when it when it was judge jeanine harris and ainsley talking about fashion and i am way out of my league here. >> so you're telling me you don't have a lot of fashion sense? sean, i think you're good. i think you're good. you like your jeans? >> i love the regular guy tonight. >> be glad you're not wearing heels right now. you're in a tux tonight. you're killing us. >> my. my feet feel fine. except it was a little cold. walking over. >> very cold. >> you cannot complain. you got closed toed shoes. we all got these heels on. >> oh, i don't want that problem. >> i'm good. doesn't it feel like america has been saved? >> it does. >> that feels like. it feels like america. we have a weight lifted off of our shoulder. it's a new day. it's a celebration. it is. i mean, i haven't even recognized our country over the past four years, and i think we're going to have a hard it's been hard to point it out. >> and then the fight last year was so hard. and it's like, you don't know, nine years of
11:54 pm
demonizing this guy. i have to let you all go, oh, see you sean. >> hang out. you want us to say no, i we have other guests. >> you all are amazing to come. thank you for being so patient. we were flying by the seat of our pants all night, but it's been a lot of fun. >> and thank you, sean. >> it's going to be crazy of an army veteran who was wounded in afghanistan. >> thank you for being here. he's a great man for being here for everyone. thank you. thank you guys. and we thank these men and women. >> yeah we do. amen. well said. good to see you all. >> thank you. >> all all right katie lisa sarah. thank you. all right donald trump by the way, now making his way over to the liberty ball, which is literally downstairs from this ball. now it's only day one of the trump presidency, according to donald trump's press secretary, caroline leavitt. earlier today, he signed 42 executive orders, memorandums, proclamations for a total of more than 200 executive actions, plus 115 personnel actions and 60 minutes of a press. q and a when is joe
11:55 pm
biden ever done? 60 minutes of a press q and a and a new insider advantage poll found that 56% of americans approve of donald trump's job performance as he starts his new term as president. and by the way, grab your microphone there. behind you, sir. matt towery is with us and steamboat institute fellow caitlin mcgee white, 56% approval rating for donald trump. >> a couple of things. this is all post the inauguration speech today, we did a quick poll. this is a good poll. he came up two points from where he was in his greatest approval rating. highest approval rating for the transition. >> right. right. >> now, sean, to be honest with you, i think that he's on the best position in pudding he's ever been on his entire time. >> both presidencies, both presidencies. yeah. >> kelly. what? this was a special ball. this was the military. this was his first
11:56 pm
stop. then we had the satellite, which was great. looks like rascal flatts is going to be coming out and playing here any minute, which is cool. i love my friends from rascal flatts. they're great. what are your thoughts on the whole day? >> i think it's great. you know, especially being here. my brother has been in the navy for the past six years. there is such an overwhelming love among our military service members for this president, because they know that he has their backs. he genuinely cares about every single one of them. and you see this even in his appointment of pete hegseth, how he genuinely wants the defense secretary to understand who it is that he's meant to serve and what makes our defense department so important. so it's great to see everyone here. you can just you can just feel the enthusiasm, especially among among our armed forces. >> now, matt, you also went in the field and republicans have a very thin margin. yes. and whether they what the president is doing now, he can do on his own. right. but he's going to
11:57 pm
need congressional approval on. >> exactly. >> right. but they have the house in the senate, albeit in the house, a small margin. >> right? >> of course. okay. to me, the answer is they've got to unite. they're going to win together or lose together. and we'll know, because tomorrow night i'm going to have speaker johnson. we're going to have a town hall with all these guys. what are people telling you? what is your poll show that people want congress to do? >> we will have a poll out tomorrow, but i've seen early numbers of it. it is overwhelming. they want the members of congress to follow donald trump's lead and get his agenda through, rather than go their own way, and it's by a very substantial margin. so they just want congress to act as one and to make sure donald trump gets his agenda and his people in. that's it's very simple. and i was really shocked that it was that substantial, sean. but it's really overwhelming. >> it really is overwhelming. you know, when you think of if he is able to accomplish this. we got into this a little bit and last night's show and
11:58 pm
secured the border deport the criminals and the terrorists and the cartels and murderers and rapists. if he's able to make us energy dominant, the richest energy country on earth, think and also rebuild our military and get the next generation of warfare that is so transformative in my mind. >> and that will go a long way towards him accomplishing what he said today. >> he wants his legacy to be, which is a peacemaker and a unifier, and simply by making energy and, you know, making america vibrant again, economically prosperous, giving people a reason to hope, giving people a reason to pursue the american dream. he accomplishes all of that. it's actually very simple. >> and, you know, you think about what we've been spared from. you think about the pardons that came out for biden's family members today. >> that was a gloves off moment, sean, that revealed exactly what they would have done with power if they had gotten it for another four years. >> how would that poll biden? you already polled biden
11:59 pm
pardoning hunter. was that disaster? >> well, what's incredible is that was before he did these new these preemptive pardons. i think his numbers would be even worse tomorrow. but i don't have to pull him again right now. >> john, you don't have to know. you already know the answer. >> no need to. there's no reason i don't have an approval rating to do for him any longer. >> i don't think the world's going to hear much from joe biden moving forward. i think donald trump will dominate the news. and, you know, to watch him give a 60 minute q&a unscripted without a staffer stopping him, i think tells us even the media that doesn't like him. they should be grateful they finally have access again. oh, absolutely. >> even when he was signing the executive orders, he was still riffing with the press. there is no boundary, there is no barrier to access to him. >> and i think that's what the public so appreciates is he's so transparent about who he is, what he hopes to accomplish, and they see hope in that. >> yeah. they do. all right. what are we going to look for? what if he got all of that
12:00 am
accomplished today. how do you top that tomorrow? >> i have no earthly idea and i don't even want to. this has been such an overwhelming day for all of us. it's been a long road to. nobody knew how this election was going to turn out, and we saw it in the last week or two. but who could have imagined three years ago? well, i will say where we are today. >> three presidential elections in a row, you called it. you deserve a lot of credit. thank you. anyway, guys. good to see you. >> thank you sean, appreciate you being with us. >> all right. the party is going to continue. looks like rascal flatts will be performing. unfortunately for us, that's all the time we have left this evening. thank you for being with us. don't forget our town hall tomorrow. and we will have that with speaker johnson and other republicans. stay with fox news channel continuing coverage throughout the night. thank you for being with us. our town hall from congress tomorrow, trace gallagher next. >> good evening. i'm trace gallagher. it's 8 p.m. on the west coast, 11:00 here in the nation's capital. and this is
