of cool. the whole thing as you said, charlie, a bit of a reality show. if you're a california, la person whose house was burned down and trying to figure out what was their next move, who do. in charge? of course donald trump. charlie: in the last hour we spoke to mona roper part of a church in north carolina and welcomed president trump and melania yesterday saying they brought hope. >> it was a breathtaking moment, very uplifting and encouraging. it was hope. there was no nerve nows about it and they -- nerviness about it and they both got there and they were so real. giving hope topher. everyone was talking about how they just couldn't believe the atmosphere and the peace that we all felt. fema hasn't been any help. i've tried to fema since day

reunited with their families. rachel: trey yingst joining us live from tel aviv with the latest. trey. reporter: yeah, hey guys, good morning. we're talking about the four hostages. these four women were taken from their base on the morning of october 7, dragged into gaza, and then been held there for more than 15 months. today they were released back into israeli custody by hamas. there was a ceremony in gaza city, in palestine square where they were paraded through the streets, put onto a stage and then transferred to the red cross. the red cross vehicling drove to the idf and the idf brought them to their families on the border at reunification senter and they're being flown to a hospital in central israel and they'll be evaluated by a team of doctors and psychologist and they'll be able to link up with many of their other family

members and friends. it's been a harrowing experience for so many israelis as they look at the situation in gaza, and they saw more than 470 days to get the young women out of gaza, and hamas used this opportunity to try and show the international community they're organized inside the gaza strip. but the israelis are saying they're not holding up their end of the bargain. there was one other israeli civilian that was supposed to be released and they won't palestinian civiles cross from southern to northern gaza, one of the key cease-tire agreements and could create tension between hamas and israel and israel said they're not holding up to their end of the garmin began and they want to be real -- bargain and they want to be strict to enchew sure that hamas and others are holding up their end of the deal. rachel: i'm happy for those four

women and terrifying to see them parade that had way and the gay withs the gun and you talked earlier about it being a pr opportunity. i think it's a really bad look for hamas to say the least. my question to you is why is -- there's a baby and a 5-year-old and the baby's 5-year-old brother still among the hostages. any idea why they were not part of this group that was released today because this is outrageous. reporter: yeah, we have information about this specific family, but we'll wait for the israeli army to announce the information. the reality is that as this war developed, many of these vulnerable hostages were taken into tunnels and houses as the fighting raged on inside gaza. they were not protected by hamas. this particular family is one that really became a symbol for the israelis. the children, two brothers and their mother just -- she was holding them in the small town that sits along the gaza border.

the video circulated of the two boys with red hair taken into gaza. they once again have been used, this specific family, as a propaganda tool by hamas. they've often released hostage videos of the husband of the mother saying the mother was killed and creating psychological trouble and the israeli people looking to the young boys as symbols. we don't have any information publicly available to announce about this particular family. it is just horrible when you think about how this country is just waiting to see not only what happened to them but also the rest of the hostages that remain in ho mas captivity. rachel: terrible. terrible thank you,trey, for th. charlie: that story tells you all you need to know about the situation. you have innocence, including a child and children, who were taken.

they're not battle participants, they're not soldiers. they're taken and in exchange, you have the prisoners who have been through the court process and convicted of crimes, they're in jail in israel and that's the equal librium there. jason: hey, tough guys, holding for 477 days. those young women. come on. rachel: it's disgusting. by the way, lots of innocence killed on the other side as well during this process. it's just so nice to see a cease-fire and sort of some of the hostages released because it's just outrageous. charlie: and it's a reminder of the dangers we face around the world. last night the senate finally confirmed pete hegseth for department of defense. came down to a 50/50 vote in the senate and vice president jd vance who is president of the senate had to come in and cast

tunnels and not even being visited by the international red cross. charlie: for all of us watching, we're glad to have these four women back obviously. it's a heavy price to pay to send those other people back, but it's hard to know who the winner is in the pr game on the ground? who is the inaner terms of pr on the ground with this? >> yeah, it's hard to know. i think the most important thing is the soul of israel from public relations perspective and you've got prohamas demonstrations around the world we've seen since october 7 and majority of americans understand who the winner is in all of this and that's our democratic ally israel. israelis themselves have been fight ago brutal war since october 7 and need to get their hostages back and paying a terrible price and will be paying a terrible price for the release of the hostages but israel doesn't survive as a country if they're not getting these young people back from the

clutches of these hamas monsters. charlie: so what's the -- will be the next phase of this ceasefire deal? >> well, hamas is already in violation because they were supposed to release a young women and give a full list of the remains hostages and have to see if they're going to comply. israel is not going to give up control of a corridor that by-seconds gaza dividing north and south where the idf has troops and they'll close that till hamas complies. if all the hostages are released in the first phase, we'll move to a second phase and in the second phase further idf troop withdrawals in exchange for israeli males being held hostage and third phase and all the hostages go back, there's a complete cease-fire and withdrawal of israeli troops and, you know, hopefully gaza

fighters getting the ummer hand on the hugh's fire which is now 7 #% contained. 79% contained and rain on the way to help fire fighters and they're worried about possible flooding and mudslides. turning to chief meteorologist rick reichmuth for the fox weather forecast. wow, rick, so much going on there. >> it's been such a devastating couple of weeks here in southern california, and the fires are in pretty good shape right now. they've gotten great containment numbers on almost all the fires here around the la basin. that said, the longer term pattern for us is problematic because we're so dry across southern california and one of the driest stretches on record. it's not been the case going up towards northern california, there's been a lot of moisture there this year and in some cases close to the wettest year on record. because of that, the drought has blown up across southern california and not the case in northern california. all that said, we have some relief coming here starting

tonight into tomorrow, you can see this little spin area of disturbed weather and area of low pressure mo moving in towars southern california and exactly the areas that have been seeing this burning are the areas that will get the precipitation here. this is a future radar and see this burn much of tomorrow and monday. we'll get rain and we'll get mountain snow and that mountain snow when that falls, higher elevation snow and very slowly melts and absorbs into the ground and it's great news for what needs to happen here and the rain in the short term helping the fire fighters for putting out the fires and also this start to a rainy season we should be having right now, we'll get some of that. i don't know if this will continue in the longer term but short term, 1-2 inches of rain falling and it's great news. jason, over to you. jason: thank you. president trump signing an executive order promoting cryptocurrencies while paving the way for a national cryptocurrency stockpile and banning central bank digital currencies.

rachel. the reunion of the folks that were imprisoned as you say unjustly to begin with. the tears and the joy is so overwhelming, it's hard to describe. we're really grateful to be a part of it and to hear from these folks and really, it's such a new day in america it's like waking up in a whole new world and it's been an extraordinary time and can't say enough how remarkable it's been to see a president that really does deliver on the campaign prosperities. he referred to the folks no less than three times on the campaign trail and said he's take action on day one. some of the people were like at the jail on day one thinking well, surely, they're going to get out. he waited till day four, but we'll give him a little slack on that . rachel: yeah, i think maybe just before the march; right? >> that's correct. rachel: in fact, it was

incredible and so the march was yesterday, i was down there, jd vance, i mean, talk about another message to the pro life community. his first public appearance at the march, incredible and then donald trump deliver ago video message. he's been at the march himself during his last term. george bush and other pro-life republicans hid in their offices and donald trump made it down there and yesterday jd did and what he had to say. >> i want more team happy children in the country and beautiful young men and women eager to welcome them into the world and eager to raise them. and no longer will our government throw pro-life protesters and activists, elderly grandparents or anybody else in prison. it stopped on monday and we're not going to let it come back to this country. rachel: yeah, he said he wanted more babies. that's what he said just before that comment, which i love that.

but, yeah, a new day for pro lifers and he said that donald trump was going to pull back funding for abortions, internationally and a lot of people holding up signs saying they want an end to funding of planned parenthood. >> y again, rachel. it was shocking and i was there as well. you've got political kind of canned comments sometimes from candidates that want to make an appearance and what have you. jd vance seemed to be speaking directly from the heart. this administration, not only did they pardon the pro-lifers but by the end of the day, yesterday, we were receiving orders in some of the civil face cases that the new acting attorney general is directing the civil rights division to dismiss those civil cases so this isn't just about words. these folks are serious and they're taking bold, aggressive action and it's a delight to see it. rachel: yeah, it's incredible.

some of the sound i got on the march. >> every human life is value and will that should be at the priority of everybody's list. those morals should be zone mord come from the heart. >> has to start with common human right to life before anything else. >> women that find themselves in unplanned pregnancies have real choice and women deserve better than abortion and that preborn baby matters from the moment of conception. rachel: yeah, incredible. we have more and will show it later on. they weren't just talking about specific policies, freeing the prisoners that the political prisoners and activists. it's going to be talking about -- jd talked about this radical individualism that's taken other -- this is a very deep cultural issue.

radical individualism that's taken over our culture and that we need to do more not just as a community but the government stepping up and filling that gap for women in need, women that have pregnancies and are scared and don't think they can handle it financially our government has a role in that. amen to that . we give millions to planned parenthood. why aren't we giving millions to young people or young women who are in need? >> yes, as a matter of fact look at private donation that most of the ministries operating on a shoe string throughout the last decade and hundreds of millions of dollars poured into the pro abortion folks like planned parenthood. it's just almost too much to believe that the government might actually support life and engage in policy administration undertakes and fundings of group that are trying to help the
