—-dash immigrants while president trumped threatens columbia for allegedly not accepting u.s. aircraft with the ported migrants from that country. good afternoon. i am john scott and this is the fox report. president trump says he will impose tariffs on all goods in the u.s. embassy in columbia is stopping all u.s. visa appointments. cannot treat his people like criminals. federal agents have been working around the clock to arrest dan deep migrants including some alleged members of the van -- venezuelan tren de aragua in colorado. receiving operations in chicago. joining us in a few minutes with his thoughts on a few actions against columbia. first, fox team coverage cb cotton on today's arrest.

we began with dana marie nichol with the president in florida. dana marie. >> john, president trump was just informed that to flights from the united states were unable to land in columbia. he posted it on true social saying rejecting these migrant illegal criminals affects u.s. public safety and in retaliation will be imposing a 25% tariff on all goods coming into our country and in one week, will be raised to 50% with enhanced screenings for all incoming goods. he said a travel ban and visa restrictions for columbia governmental officials and allies will be imposed as well as strict financial sanctions. he says this is just the beginning. it has been nonstop for the president. he had three major cities in just two days.

he took a victory lap in las vegas thanking his supporters and promising to fulfill his campaign pledge of no tax on tips. as he walked through the casino, gamblers there chanted usa. on his way to florida last night aboard air force one, president trump spoke to the press saying he will talk with russian president vladimir putin about ending the war in ukraine. he also touch on the future of tiktok. he will decide in roughly 30 days who will buy the app. he also defended the firing of 17 inspector general claiming this is a customary move. john, we just got word from the uk government that the prime minister will be meeting with trump soon and he looks forward to that. jon: we should mention president trump will be meeting with the house and senate on the republican side. right? >> that is right.

announcing connected to the venezuelan gang. agents tell foxes as part of a broader ongoing da effort to target the gang and about one hour east of denver they tell us crack and cocaine were found inside. pulling away with some of the gang members inside. the local abc affiliate reports deep dba gang members posted about this. an official told our colleague i.c.e. efforts in tennessee in san antonio texas this week turned up three men with ties to the gang including an active member. all of those men were taken into custody. the senior official says the three men were previously caught and then released at the border during the biden administration. during a las vegas rally yesterday president trump suggested this is just the

service judiciary committee. spending some time with us today let's talk about the confirmation hearings that will be upcoming. a couple nominees squeak by. the vice president cast the deciding vote. getting a resounding vote of encouragement. what about people like cass patel and rfk junior. what do you anticipate? >> we will move quickly tomorrow for the treasury secretary position. also sean duffy for transportation secretary. a few high-profile meetings are coming up this week. we will have cash in front of the judiciary committee and i think they will all do great. they are well-prepared. very qualified. they are reformers. they are disruptors.

this is about the establishment. delivering on that message. putting people up highly qualified. i expect them to get confirmed. since bill clinton, there's only been three no votes. no votes altogether when you have the president and the senate on the same party. historical precedent would dictate these will get you as well. jon: what about being a disruptor. the president has issued many many executive actions, executive orders. democrats have been fairly muted about it seems like. what is your take. >> after what they got in november. the american people, president trump is delivering the things

he talked about on the campaign trail. he talked about illegal immigration, being energy dominant are standing in the world. he is doing all of that. it does feel like the inauguration was more than six days ago with the flurry of activity. making these promises, keeping the promises to the american people broadly support this. i think the democrats would be wise to be a little bit more cooperative. the american people have spoken and it is up to senate republicans to let him get his team in place. >> the most miserable sign that there's a sheriff in town is the immigration situation. homan is in chicago but they have been making arrests all over the country. places like aurora colorado like we just mentioned. give us a take on how that is going. >> talking about getting rid of these criminals that have been led into these countries. 15 million people that have been let in.

hundreds of thousands of people that have been convicted previously of rape and murder. he has committed to getting them out. i think this is an action that people want to see. i think the american people are tired of other countries sending their criminals here. us being taken advantage of. us being ripped off on trade policy. president trump tapped into that i think he will deliver for the american people and really deliver prosperity and reestablish law in order to get the people that are here, especially the violent criminals to get them out. i think the columbia president sort of pushback on that. we can do this the easy way or the hard way. one way or another the american be full have spoken on this. b one you cannot, meaning the united states cannot treat our people, colombians like

criminals. what is your response? >> these are criminals. we will reestablish the sovereignty of our own borders. enforce the laws that are on the books. deportation is nothing new. bill clinton deported 12 million people. when you see this human cry from the left is because they been captured by the radical left that believe in open borders. arbitrary lines on a map. global citizens and taxpayers that should fund all this stuff. that is not how it works. send these criminals back. this repatriation process goes smoothly. he is willing to suspend visa applications and cut off those appointments to our embassies. all of those options are on the table. he means business. i think the american people support this.

that came after hamas releases second group of female hostages yesterday. israel says it is keeping troops beyond today's cease-fire deadline. lebanon has not fully held up its end of the deal. mike tobin is live in tel aviv with the latest on all of that. mike. >> the two cease-fire deals are troubled and fragile. as you mentioned, the cease-fire mandated that the israeli armed forces be out of the south of lebanon today. the army is still there. israel's leaders say the lebanese armed forces have failed to take a position that would prevent hezbollah from digging in and rearming. so withdrawal according to israel's leaders will now be gradual. the troops on the ground there are clashes. lebanese health ministry says 22 people were killed today in the south of lebanon. gaza strip there been clashes as well with the cease-fire there hanging by a thread. israeli forces have not pulled out. they are not allowing palestinians to return to their

homes in the northern end of the gaza strip. that is because palestinians to form groups and push towards the idf positions. the reason the idf did not withdrawal is that prime minister netanyahu said thomas was in breach of the agreement. it stated civilians be released before female soldiers. you saw yesterday for female soldiers were released from captivity. one female civilian is still a hostage. that organization said she will be out before the next scheduled hostage release. at the moment, the army remains. the trump administration has just unfrozen a shipment of 200e delivered to israel. those have been fries and in the biden administration. if the cease-fires fall apart, if israel returned to the fight, they will now have more tools. jon: mike tobin live in tel aviv , israel. thank you. >> you have already heard a lot

jon: and date to our top story. president trump is offering tariffs and other sanctions against columbia after they refused to allow deportation flights to land in the country. offering his own presidential plane to assist with deportation flights to ensure "a dignified return". it is not clear if this will change president trump's plans to retaliate against the nation. that includes 25% tariffs included on all colombian goods things like coffee and a trouble band for colombian government officials. meantime, president trump is taking on de i. signing an executive order to end de i policies and government

pacific palisades. christina, i see that you have your raingear on. the weather has turned wet. >> that is right. it definitely has. twenty minutes ago, it was pouring rain. getting a little break from it right now. people are worried that the rain in these fire ravaged areas, that it could trigger mudslides. take a look at that extensive damage behind me. this is right along the pch. you can see the buildings that have been destroyed. also some water that you see flowing down the hill there. that is what we are talking about. there worried water like that can bring debris. fire trucks passing by here. people definitely definitely concerned. they have been gearing up for this. they have been through so much already. a lot of them have been sanded

nagging around their homes where their homes have not been destroyed. sandbagging to try to protect it from potential mudslides. >> we have suffered this terrible loss of thousands of homes but homes did survive and now they are under threat. our focus is to help save the homes that we can. >> that is right. tens of thousands of structures have been destroyed. many homes, many businesses, very scary. this concern for potential mudslides. one thing that they realizes these mudslides can happen very, very quickly. much less very fast. talking 35-40-mile an hour down a slope. you cannot outrun a land slide or debris flow. they are just too fast.

>> you do not want to be caught in that kind of situation. national weather service issuing a flood watch for fire scar areas to start tonight around 4:00 o'clock in the evening. they just want to try to keep people safe. jon: we see that sort of waterfall looking thing over your left shoulder. is that a channel where the water is intended to go? or is that just run off? >> you know, i am not sure. that was one thing that we notice. this is already happening. are we getting some kind of flooding. we did not get to that area where you could see all the destroyed property. again, we have that fencing around there. we will get these thunderstorms, rain expected to pop up over the next few days. at that area secured and closed off. keep debris secured enclosed into that area.

friends and my hands in a couple shovels. and then she thought of this elderly woman up on a hill who was terrified because her mailbox was gone. the mailboxes quarter mile down the dirt road from the house and there is no place for a mailman to leave her social security check or letters from her family they built her mailbox. they have done this 10 times now taking trips just building people's mailboxes. it is beautiful. it was a thing that they could do that was within their capacity. good for them. >> good for them. the president is talking about abolishing fema. do you think that would go over well with the folks where you are. >> i do not think they care whether it is abolished or performed. they just see that change needs to be made. they are also cognizant of the fact that especially in north carolina, maybe like los angeles , some of these affected
