the younger generations are interested in finding that, the connection with people. >> what happened to gen x? your generation by generation, and jason's generation your generation we have the highest percentage of atheists. what happened? looks look it was around that time that so many of our institution started to decline and maybe our generation viewed that as we are going to a lump in the formal church is the formal religious bodies in with that. but i think something funny happened in the last couple of years that explains these junk people finally finding god. thinker institutions fill these young people in such a dramatic and drastic way. that explains how they have come to visit the lord, like nicole said. telling people there traits defined t in print that was one bad way i think force a lot of

these young men and women to say that cannot be right but second, look at what we did to these young men and women during covid we rob them of their youth the adults the people who are supposed to be in charge and protecting these people robbed them of years of their life and years of their learning. while some of these podcasts and the like are bringing people to the lord, let's not discount the harm that social media has done to these young people and detaching them. making them detached humans. when all if that is at play, to nicole's point these individuals are trying to find meaning in their life for the trying to find a purpose and the lord provides that meaning and that purpose for these people. as a result we are seeing these numbers increase. that is what i think happened. the funny part about that is if these people end up going and looking for more god they may end up going to these institutions like churches and

the like. or, let's be clear maybe these institutions like the catholic church of which i am a catholic and can say this have done so much damage these people are going to find god in other areas without going to a formal building to worship that's a catholic church in so many churches challenge. >> maybe it's making its way back to pop cult pop-culture agu suck tim tebow on their you have mark wahlberg who is very outspoken. when you hear people that are celebrities talking about their faith that does wonders as well. it's not just their political motivations are coming out and saying i'm faithful, i believe in god i'm grateful to god for all my success. >> to todd's point with all of the mess that's out there and all the negative perverted messages there is the segment out there that is positive and it is spiritual. when people see it and experience and feel it in their heart, they are attracted to it and want to go back to it. i think the churches and those

with religious spiritual messages have gotten better at putting together good messages in a positive way that people can relate too. you simply have a younger generation from charlie kirk and the girls gone bible and others who are role models to a lot of people they wear it on their sleep and they are not bashful about it. i think that's a good thing and affects a lot of people. >> i see a lot of hope in these numbers as well there's an opportunity here and to know there are young people out there who are searching for something. they want a deeper meaning. they want something deeper than a lot of people in the older generations give them credit for. they actually do want something and doing the best they can to find it. coming up another jampacked hour of the big weekend show the white house briefing room is getting a makeover but first u.s. marines are headed to guantanamo bay or a detention facilities being built to hold the worst migrant criminals.
