should the u.s. send troops to help secure the security vacuum? >> as far as gaza is concerned, we'll do what is necessary. >> lucas: netanyahu appeared open to the idea. saudi arabia's foreign ministry it rejects any attempts to displace palestinians from its land. strongly against any forced replacement. allies in the region have previously rejected the idea of relocating the more than 2 million palestinians in gaza. during the news conference our own peter doocy asked netanyahu the following question. >> we have heard joe biden and donald trump take credit for the hostage and cease-fire deal. who do you think deserves more credit? >> i think president trump added great force and powerful leadership to this effort. i appreciate it. he sent a very good emissary. he has helped along.

>> steve: but it's their land. >> brian: went to turkey, europe, everywhere. got on boats and rafts and italy. so, i mean, they left. 2 million people left. you could get people out of gaza when you have no choice. aside trying to kill everybody. so they left. meanwhile, 11 minutes after the hour. talk about good news. >> lawrence: we got good news from the secretary of defense. it looks like the u.s. army recruiting had their most productive december in 15 years. listing 346 soldiers daily into the world's greatest army. i just think it's so powerful. and i had the opportunity to talk to some troops. so much spirit at the border. watch. how does it have the secretary of defense here to greet you personally talk to you, and get you all's concerns. >> i think it's important that the secretary of defense come down and have the leaders of the department come down and kind of eyes on perspective at the tactical level. because, you know, ideas and

orders that come down from top, they don't know how all that impacts the soldiers. but i think it's great for him. especially first trip out to come down and actually get the thoughts of the leaders and the soldiers on the ground and how we can best execute this mission. >> lawrence: tell me about the operation that you guys are going to be doing at the border. what specifically would you be doing. >> soldiers down here manning different detection monitoring locations. really designed border patrol works hand in glove with us to put us in the best positions possible to help support them. so we have soldiers out here 24/7, 365. we do everything that we possibly can to support our dhs partners. >> lawrence: what's your number one mission. >> number one mission is trying to keep the american border safe and trying to detect and defend the border as much as we possibly can. >> ainsley: this happened after president trump was elected. after pete hegseth was nominated. as defense secretary. enlistment going up. 350 soldiers every single day this past december. >> steve: that's great. >> brian: best recruiting number in 12 years according to the

army. the army hit its best number in 15 years overall. america's youth want to serve. just make it something that people feel rewarded for doing. i wants to see those families who do so much for our country. i think 1% serves 350 million. so many our legacies, my grandpa, my father. and they stopped after afghanistan. hopefully they will say son, daughter, if you want to go, in i support you now. >> steve: well, ever since covid the numbers have started to slump. and then we have also got standards. and too many people are obese and also the army has got essentially their own sat test to see whether or not can you get in. they have started doing prep classes which is great. one of the problems is they don't have enough facilities. so, in the last couple of weeks the army announced that they are going to expand basic training at fort leonard wood in missouri and fort sill in oklahoma. another 10,000 per year last

years they hit the number. they wanted 53,000. >> brian: what branch army? >> steve: the army. >> brian: they also lowered their standards, lowered their goal. >> ainsley: what year was afghanistan's withdrawal # 2023? >> brian: 2021. >> ainsley: 2023 the u.s. military missed recruiting goals by 41,000. a lot of this had to do with who the commander-in-chief was. >> brian: did you hear joe biden say i need to you serve. being all you can be. a warrior looking like a warrior in commercials. army put out great ads and hired major companies they stopped doing it. it was like gender equality crap. they also were pushing back on letting them into high schools. you need to tell high school kids i know you are thinking about college. i want you to know what we can offer you. >> lawrence: we got have a pro-american strength type message we got video of america

winning. >> lawrence: someone the first generation of my family not to serve all my grandparents, my father. grandmother, grandfather and it goes on and on and on they discouraged me from joining the military because of how the military had been and they were not focused on certain things. i think the secretary of defense is going to shift that message. and you already see it with the guys on the ground. think are so happy not just with the border patrol but off camera. >> did they tell you which ones can you interview? is he said just go out there and talk with the guys. and the guys were -- they were stunned. i don't think i have approved to talk. and secretary of defense has approved to you talk. tell them what you want to tell them. it's incredible. >> it's not like okay. we have focus group this one guy he has the perfect point of view. ask anybody in the line they are going to say exactly you want to find out how they feel they will tell you how they feel it's

awesome. >> brian: the other big story is what doge is doing to our budget examine examining read only mode with treasury wasting billions of dollars, maybe trillions of dollars in our budget. it's never been looked at and examined. some people have a problem with it. but looking at what elon musk is doing. they estimate they're saving a billion dollars a day on what they have already done. and they over 2 trillion when it's all said and done that was his goal. we heard elon musk say that i think it was at the rally in butler when donald trump returned before the election. so, he is going through and he is doing a lot of cutting he has got apparently the approval of the boss. the president of the united states. but at the same time, a lot of these programs were developed by politicians and if they go away,

politicians don't like them. in particular the democrats not in power right now, here's a little montage of what they have to say about donald trump who is following through on a campaign promise. he said i'm going to get rid of government waste and abuse and all that stuff. he is trying to do it and the democrats don't like it. >> we have to fight this in the courts. we have to fight this in the congress. we have to fight this in the streets. stop the coup, stop the grift. stop elon musk. >> shut down the city! 70,000 for a dei musical in ireland. i mean, was this quite a production? who pays that? >> steve: no kidding. >> ainsley: 47,000 for trans opera in colombia. 32,000 for trans comic book in peru. you can be whoever you want to be. >> lawrence: i'm not paying for it. >> ainsley: we don't have to work really hard to go pay for your country to have these programs. >> brian: i have been reading really close nothing cutting that is republican. he is cutting the budget of america. they found the biden administration wasted $236 billion in improper payments through 71 federal programs. that's according to the government accountability office. that's not going to happen anymore. musk did an audit of the federal government to cut waste, fraud and abuse. is he doing it. massive sum three quarters of overpayments. just a portion of the $1.8 trillion debt. is he going in there, making everything literally accountable. so he is trying to get everything in order. on us aid senator joni ernst went up and saying you are wasting all your money.

what's going on with this? u.s. aid said you have no right to ask us this. they threatened her. wait a second a sitting senator gets threatened by usaid who didn't want to be questioned on where the money is going. going to fold it into the state department. make it accountable. the state department everyone said was the deep state. it's being gutted. the c.i. a was told tighten your belt. the fbi was told tighten your belt. these aren't republican organizations. it's a country that wants to get its house in order in order to get -- keep more of our money and keep it in america's pockets. >> ainsley: tomorrow is the last day of the buyout. want to quit your job and still get paid through the end of september and a federal worker you can 20,000 have said yes. >> steve: trump was very smart in deciding to go after usaid first because to the point about, you know, we are spending all that money overseas whereas rather he had come out and said okay we are going to cut the department of education and it sounds like they will, they didn't say that first. because then the argument would be you are going to short change

america's kids. >> brian: musk is much bigger than we ever thought. never thought this comprehensive and effective. bringing in minds and engineers from other companies to go there and work for free. >> steve: and he is there for a reason right now. because, before all the cabinet secretaries start. because they said things at this confirmation hearings like i won't cut back the staff and stuff like that. they have got to do it in this transition period before those people actually start. donald trump has got a very ambitious agenda that involves a lot of tax cuts. he wants to continue those. he said yesterday he wants to find a way to pay for no tax on tips no, tax on social security and overtime. and we get letters from all of you every day asking when is he going to do that? those things are expensive. that is why elon musk is there right now. he is trying to find the money. so that republicans who are wobbly on ballooning the deficit okay. look at this. we found the money.

laying out a vision for a prosperous gaza that can emerge after this war to destroy hamas is over. and people of the region should be grateful. >> brian: prime minister netanyahu i never saw him look surprised. he looked surprised by the proposal came up behind closed doors. what he is trying to say the status quo doesn't work. hamas said there will be more october 7ths, they are continuing to hold hostages. nothing will change so why would we do this again? and the arab world knows it. not goods to necessarily sign off on this. what would be the exact next step? >> well, you have to eliminate hamas. there can be no future for gaza while hamas is still there as soon as the cease-fire took place, the hamas pulled out of the tunnels and they started threatening october 7th all over again. there's no chance for this vision. trump is holding out a positive vision for the region. and if you want that, the predicate for that is that hamas has to be utterly and completely

today marks national girls and women in sports kay and to honor female athletes, donald trump will sign an executive order banning biological men from girl's sports in schools and colleges. is he going to do that at 3:00 this afternoon. our next guest will be there for the signing. independent women's forum ambassador and former ncaa athlete paula scanlan joins us now. hey, paula. >> hey. good morning. >> ainsley: good morning. i know you swam at upenn and you swam with lia thomas and you decided in 2023 to start speaking out. the school tried to silence you and suppress your thoughts. you went forward. you were fighting for fairness in women's sports. what does this mean to you after years and years of fighting? >> oh my gosh, this is so exciting, i mean, but the biggest thing that i'm thinking to myself is the fact that we even have to do this and spend time and sign executive order to say something as common sense as men do not belong in women's sports. but this is just the beginning. ultimately this issue will not be over until we get this passed in all three branches of

government. until we see cases won in the supreme court. until we see congress pass this and so we're looking for the senate to hopefully try and pass this into law as well after trump signs his executive order. >> ainsley: i know you have talked to congress. what are the chances of that? >> i don't know. but, honestly, i want them to bring it because we need these senators on the record saying that they do not stand with women. because there is a lot of democrats that are not going to vote for this. we want them on the record saying that they believe men belong in women's sports. i think that is very important. i really do hope that they bring this up in senate and we see how people are going to vote on this. >> ainsley: today is national girls and women sports day celebrating female athletes like yourself. what did that sport do for you? what did swimming do for your life. >> absolutely it. made me everything i am today. taught me time management. taught me how to be part of a team. taught me how to work toward a goal and ha chief. i wouldn't be the person i am right here if i hadn't had

growing up. think of any girl being robbed of that opportunity because a male athlete wants to take her spot or compete in her sport or bump her off the roster that is heart breaking. so important why we all stand up for and this why this executive order is such a win. win for the young girls. not just the ncaa champions but for the middle school athletes. bench warmers girls just breaking into the bought of the roster. >> ainsley: report from the u.n. last year found 7900 medals in women sports have been won by biological males. thank you for coming on. >> the doj is forming a task force to investigate systemic

necessary. it's a great step. things have gotten better above ground. so the type of riots we just saw went on consistently. riots and violence taken over buildings has calmed down bureau ground, anti-semitism at columbia. anti-west indoctrination continue and increase. task force mullett agency. the department of justice, it's the department of education, other agencies, that's a great, great, in my opinion a great start, a great move. >> lawrence: i know there is indoctrination when it comes to the professors on these college campuses. i reported on it for years at campus reform. but the openness of the anti-anti-semitism that they are displaying adjudicate the students they are linked to. >> some of the professors

driving the systemic systemic racism. same professors directing some of them, the same professors are directing the undergraduate program, the core curriculum. some of them are the ones adjudicating the violators of the regulations. so it's a self-perpetuating system. where the some of these professors hire others to have similar monolithic ideology like them. tenure them. and it per pets united states itself. >> lawrence: are you hopeful this commission with the department of justice is going to help change things? >> i'm very hopeful. i think they are going to look into the systemic still. things go long with that including as i said anti-west indoctrination. a severe bias against our way of life. against freedom. against free marks free markets
