and this is "the ingraham angle" here to thank you for joining us tonight. error control, alt, delete moment. to that is the focus of tonight "angle." trump is resetting the federal government. >> over the past two weeks, our strength has been restored and our spirit has been revived and a new national momentum sweeping across the country the golden age of america has officially begun and our economy is back to life. optimism is soaring and we have put back the words common sense to our government. >> laura: he and his cabinet are moving so rapidly on so many levels that democrats are feverishly trying to keep up. when they are not filing lawsuits go to we will get to that in a moment. liberal jurisdictions are scrambling to get there message in order.

>> many democrats need time to soul search, to grieve, to thank coach up at that time has ended. at that time ended when elon musk took control of our country's financial nuclear codes. >> laura: did they actually pay people to write those lines? the nuclear financial codes, is he kidding me? for liberals $36 trillion debt is not a national emergency go but that doge crews identifying scams is a national emergency? only now though are americans beginning to really understand how deep the corruption runs in washington. and courtesy of doge and its allies on the hill, we are seeing what is tantamount to ongoing, brazen threa stepped fe u.s. taxpayers. no no wonder the taxpayers are innate broth. >> what we are seeing unfold is
1:03 am
an unlawful para-grand by unelected, unaccountable puppet master. look what musk is announcing every single day. elon musk, take your hands off the people's money. >> laura: take your hands off the people's money, that is funny. the people elected donald trump to clean up this mess, and that is exactly what he is doing. and response code democrats only have hyperbole, and of course, they are fallback lies. >> access to the personal data, there is nothing about copresident the 26th that is about saving the american people money. >> laura: of course, that is false. he is saving us money, and he is not coming through irs files accessing people's personal data. at that is what democrats do, like during the obama administration when they noticed into conservative's files over at the irs. the democrats big pilot phase
1:04 am
elon musk do you think? it doesn't look like it. he knows the numbers don't lie. a comprehensive audit of federal spending, we have needed it forever. it shows billions upon billions of dollars are being blown on projects by globalist and of course the hard left. money flows to ideological bedfellows for things such as $361,000 to wear trans bisexual nonbinary and two-spirit people how to farm. $1.5 million to advance dei and serbia businesses, goody, $2 million changes and activism in guatemala, $2.5 million evs for vietnam and $3 million on girl centered climate action. and what if you are feeling kind of stressed out and you are an employee at usaid?
1:05 am
well, for the modest price tagged $31.5 million, they hired a consultant cons to assist youh counseling organizational, wellness and work life. is work-life balance now abbreviated to work life? i guess i'll. this is all obscene and we know it. it is still a drop in the bucket compared to what we already knew happened in fiscal year 2023 when biden and company blue through $236 billion with a b in improper payments with 71 federal programs. 71! and by the way, it was worse in 2022, $247 billion in improper payments. now, try to wrap your head around this, since fiscal year 2023 and this man's republican and democrat administrations, cumulative, federal improper payment estimates total
1:06 am
$2.7 trillion! now, this means it took up the money and grant recipients didn't qualify for the money that they still received. and that the payments were sent in some cases totally in error. so $2.7 trillion over 20 years. you cannot make that up. but as infuriating as it is that we are finding all of the nonsense and wasting trillions of dollars, it is far more disturbing that you and i are actually subsidizing woke propaganda that that is packaged as news. $3.2 million for the bbc media action group. they got 8% of entire income from the american taxpayers. of course, we all know they despise elon. but when he second, trump is attacking journalism. that is what the left is saying here. expects sob stories to start pouring in. but are democrats going to
1:07 am
depend funding $268 million worth of grants to news outlets across the globe? i mean, and a mystery novel, that all would end up being a cia front group because it sure sounds like it. taxpayers do have a right to know where this money is going and why. apparently, we are funding zelenskyy's propaganda effort in ukraine as well. how do we believe this qualifies as a free press when it ends up in ukraine? because right now, it is not free to the u.s. taxpayers. now, no wonder the democrats as we are finding... ow and as it is being publicized to the american people, and they are really beginning to take it and slowly but surely. no wonder the democrats are huffing and puffing. they are running to the courts and pulling stunts outside of the federal building. it looks a little insurrection at times even. because they are playpen is
1:08 am
being emptied out. their toys are disappearing one by one. but for us, this is great! it is money saved! it is woke programs asked out. employees who are not needed have to move on, radicals on their heels. every day is like christmas morning, and that is "the angle." all right, joining us now this just in before we get to reuters, the trump administration plans to keep fewer than it looks like 294 usaid staff out of over 10,000 staffers in the agency globally. joining me now missouri senator, eric schmitt. senator, i guess it is 294 staffers out of about 10,000 or 14,000, we lost count at this point. that is from marco rubio's office tonight. that is -- that's got to be the
1:09 am
biggest mass firing we have ever heard of. >> it is incredible. i think this is the tip of the iceberg. we are talking about usaid right now. wait till they get the other agencies bloated and unaccounta. this is washington's worst nightmare which is why you see hair on fire moment right now because they have been able to hide behind this sort of secrecy for far too long. you mention some of these programs, they know that the american taxpayer knew what this money was being spent on, they would object. you would have a new tea party movement in this country and it is all coming to light. which is good to. i want to read a couple more things. you mentioned girls centered climate action in brazil, $45 million for dei scholarships in burma. $1.5 billion dei and serbia, $47,000 trans opera in columbia, $42,000 for trance, book in
1:10 am
peru, $22,000 changes in guatemala. that is just the beginning. this is an important field for us to fight on. the democrats are essentially guardians of permanent washington right now and we should welcome despite. >> laura: well, apparently reuters is the one that confirmed that plan of the trump administration to essentially delete the department and bring it down to, you know, still 300 people. i'm not sure why you need 300 people but still 300 people out of 10,000 is quite a cut. senator, not everybody is happy about this. bill gates weighed in on the value of t usaid. usaid place is super important role in dispensing error budget, which is less than 1% of the government budget. it works to save millions of lives in hilts strengthen relationships for the united states. if you go around --
1:11 am
>> laura: though may not have any relationships with other countries now because we don't do the slush fund for dei? there is some water projects probably worth funding for people who need help in that regard, but there is a lot of other waste. >> i think we have to look at this and secretary rubio talked about this in president trump's talked about this writ large. we should only do things in the core national interest in the united states of america. that is it. when it relates to foreign policy, foreign aid, we need a real reset here. when you have money going which is also sort of thing reported at this hour going to george soros sort of nonprofits that who knows where that goes, and it could be coming back to the united states to undermine our justice system, it is ridiculous. people have had enough of this. this is what we mean when the election 2024 was about the disruptors versus establishment. you see it play out right now in
1:12 am
real time. there needs to be real reform within these agencies and we can save hundreds of billions if not trillions of dollars doing the right thing. we can wear at the white hats as republicans. we should welcome despite. the democrats are defending the status quo, which is totally broken. >> laura: nancy mace was exposing brilliantly the millions spent on creating transgender animal experiments. $10 million! i mean, it seems like a joke. it can't be really true, but i guess it is true. >> well, what is really interesting, you hear democrats when you challenge them on this go to that is not that much money and it's a drop of money in the bucket. tell that to the truck driver or that waitress picking up a shift or the family that saves up for a vacation to come to the nation's capital to show their kids but this place is all about.
1:13 am
it is insulting to taxpayers. like i said, this is just the beginning. this is one agency right now and that is the benefit of doge, which is to dig into all of the staff. >> laura: it is like every day is christmas morning. it is just you can't -- you can't get over how much good stuff we are learning, good about the bad stuff. senator, wonderful to see you and thank you so much. all right code to the party that forced lockdowns on us and fax mandates that canceled student loans and targeted christians for political persecution is now supposedly worried about what? oh, a constitutional crisis. >> i want to cut through the b.s. because i am from detroit and we like to speak truth to power and be honest. the american people feel very much we are in a constitutional crisis. they are very much living in fear right now. >> there is a tipping point at
1:14 am
which you can't get your democracy back, and i see all of these very purposeful lines of effort that the trump administration and elon musk are taking. and i think we have to be right now at this moment on, you know, red alert mode. as we went joining me now, jonathan turley, george washington profit. a constitutional crisis because as special government employee, elon musk and two, jan, computer whiz is our family doing what the government should have dones a real audit of what they do with their money. >> no, it is an amazing reaction and you have people all over the beltway breathing in paper bags right now because the idea you can bring in these people and they will think outside of the box. that is what musk is known for.
1:15 am
he is known for someone to reject paths to dependence. he did that at twitter. he said they could not fire that people at twitter and he debt that. twitter became more efficient in the operations continued on-to impeded. and amy did most of those employees. so musk is coming in here and the terror alert in washington is quite astonishing. but this idea this is a danger to democracy is rather odd. the president just ran on a pledge to shrink the government, to look for waste. he brought in someone from the outside for a reason because past pledges by presidents have gone nowhere. it turns the way watching temp functions. so he body of this guy who operates with a different approach. look, the truth is they want people to leave some of these
1:16 am
positions. as i said before, the fact is if you throw a badger in a crowded car, people are going to get out. and elon is that badger. he he threw it in the car and trying to change the way government is composing and writing. the other thing you were correct on is a lot of what has happened in the court cases is purely speculative. elon does not appear to have access to information in a coupe read-only access according to the treasury department. but also, they were clever in a number of respects. they took a department, in office graded by obama in 2014, and they have repurposed it. they moved it under the executive office. they are not going to get rid of usaid, but apparently they will cut it to the bone. all of that will make it difficult to challenge. so i think what you will see coming out of this is, there will have to be guarantees to protect things like privacy and other things and those are
1:17 am
important to do. but i find it rather hard to believe that a court is going to micromanage how a president is going to be fulfilling this pledge. he has a right to information to make these decisions. >> laura: well, jonathan, and a lot of these cases being filed whether it is about this deferred resignation, the deadline was supposed to be tonight that you tell them whether you wanted to take basically the buyout. a federal judge push that off until monday. and so, jonathan, the here is and we continued to expect democrats to form shop in places like the first circuit up in boston or rhode island where there are no republicans on the appellate court there when this thing goes up to be appealed, all these cases? will this continue for they hope nationwide injunctions against doge? >> i think it will continue.
1:18 am
the fact is the president has had a rough going with a lot of judges who were not particularly sympathetic when he was a candidate. but ultimately these cases have to go before the supreme court. we have a system of appeal. what different about this term as opposed to the one you and i covered the first time trump was elected is trump is wasting no time. this is -- i have to tell you the entire city is on edge. just the peace of these changes and the glory of executive orders. it has everyone reeling. there is a reason for that. he knows the final two years of the second term president c code slows down and you lose a lot of momentum. he wants -- if there is going to be challenges, he is going to invite them to go into court and knock them down and get on with this. >> laura: i hope it doesn't take months or years because that's what the democrats are planning to do is drag it out as long as they can.
1:19 am
but jonathan we will cover that with you as always. chicago leaders facing big consequences for trying to stop again the moves of common sense into their cities. i will tell you about it next.
