♪ ♪ >> hello america i'm mark levin this is "life, liberty & levin" saturday honored guest here prime minister of israel benjamin netanyahu. how are you, sir? >> i'm terrific. especially after this week in washington with president trump. >> you've had a great week in washington. i think the world has had a great week in washington. this is probably in all of my years watching israel united states relations, the pinnacle. why is it? is it you and trump chemistry and on the same page? why do you think that is? >> i think president trump is the greatest friend that israel has ever had in the house. i think he's not only making a tremendous change in the israeli american alliance strengthening it beyond anything we've seen up to now. but also he's a great leader for america and the world and all of that comes to comes together in this meeting between two great allies.

peace. that's what president trump and our partnerships brings to the equation. mark: and yet as an observer you're from the united states watching° this period of time you had a lot of people disagreeing with you. even in your own cabinet your national security cabinet, they would pop off publicly come to the united states come around your back or somebody in the united states would come to them and go around your back just somebody observing. your press was very anti-many of the measures you were taking. and yet you were steadfast about it. how do you -- and i've asked president trump about this too. how do you muscle through a situation you've taking on your enemies foreign and domestic yet you feel your right turns out you were 100% right. >> first of all i have a what president trump called the secret weapon. i have sarah. my wife, and my two boys they back me and they give me -- but it is not really my

and i think that i think that in america most of the american people, they understand that. mark: yet because you israeli people have been successful, i mean you're up against it. this is has been a horrific period of time -- you've turned it around and so many incredible ways. you see the growing anti-semitism all over the world in the united states and in our universe it is funded a lot by qatar and by some of these other countries. it's being funded a lot through hamas and so forth, is that because it's okay if you're jewish and you lose and you're a victim -- but if you're jewish you're a warrior and you win that's not so good? >> that's because the nations of the world have been accustom to the jews as a perfect victory. once we lost our land, we were there for 2,000 years before we lost it.

by billionaires in our country and other countries. sort of this dark money that comes in. you're blamed for the hostages if something is stopped, negotiations are a problem, it is not hamass hamass that takint it's you including in our newspapers in many of yours too i look at the english versions -- what is that like in other words there you are -- you're the commander in chief you know what's going on more than the rest of us. you're fighting like hell to get hostages out but you can't just give the enemy everything they want. and then it's you -- you're the one staying in the way of the release of the hostages what's that? >> that's false of the ones keeping them in the dungeons hamas terrorists. it is not me. and in the beginning of the war, people said including senior most senior defense officials they said, we're not going to get any of the hostages out we have to assume that's not going to happen. i said no. we're going to fight hamas.

and at the same time we're going to release the hostages. and that's essentially what we've been doing up to now. i never gave up on them and by the end of next week probably have about 75% of the living hostages also holding bodies as hostage these are monsters if but we're going to get 75% of the living hostages out which i intend to get all of them out so there's a lot of lives. how do you deal with all of this fake news? you know it is leak like a torrent of fake news so i just said hell with it. don't deal with it. just do what you have to do and we have three wars in gaza, one, destroy hamas's military and governing capabilities. two, get all of the hostages out, three, make sure that gaza never poses a threat to israel again. and i'm committed to achieving all three. i don't care what they say i just do what i do and you know the people in israel, the public -- they're used to they've been exposed to fake news.

they get it. mark: i read your papers english version, and i see -- your polls are -- shooting through the roof. so would appear that israeli people like what you're doing with president trump and like what you're doing really to transform the middle east. no? >> yeah that's true. yeah the real poll. that's so many fake polls like here -- you know, i saw this fake poll in iowa that you had here. the president trump was backing -- you know like a i don't know what it was. mark: 16 points. >> that's exactly what you have in the fake polls in israel that are -- you know, other than competent and the recent election gives me that advantage continuously and especially now. and so that's, you know, that's just confirming what i'm telling you. the people get it. they get it that they were lied to by a lot of our media. they said there's no problem

hamas is not a real problem. and iran, you know, i had years i had to fight and warn against iran and sometimes stood alone not only against the world. and against u.s. administrations, not trump i have to say. but other administrations. but sometimes against my own, you know, in my own circle and my other security circle you know don't overrate don't exaggerate with iran and now everybody sees that it is iran. now everybody sees it is hamas they see it. and they sort of appreciate the fact that i did not waiver. that i, you know, i carried this thing i carried ball where we have to carry it. basically to two goals. one, make sure that iran doesn't have nuclear weapons. not only for israel. you don't want a world where these mad ayatollah have nuclear weapons and means to deliver them not only against us but europe against you you don't want that.

♪ ♪ mark: in this country, there's a lot of people who still wonder what role if any, saudi arabia had on 9/11 now there's a lot of talk about saudi arabia peace with saudi arabia, and then you read in the papers well saudi arabia says yes. but this is they have a caveat there needs to be a palestinian state since when did the palestinians become so important that saudi arabia? >> we've got the abraham accords because we went around the palestinians because palestinians whether they're hamas or they're a competitors -- the palestinian authority, they both want to see the end of israel only difference is hamas is let's use it by immediately by military means and other guys others say do it by the law fair and withdraw to this indefensible lines where we're nine miles wide president trump

additional agreement with saudis with others i believe also in the muslim world because it's -- it's peace through strength. when we're very storm and we stand together, objections that are raised now is insurmountable sort of change. that happened in the first term. you know, to you looked at what some of our air partners were saying or conditions they had for the abraham accords it is never going happen. now, it did happen. because we had such a strong partnership, and i'll tell you i, you know, i don't to get into all of the verbal exchanges they're not important. if we're strong, if we're victorious, peace will come. more peace will come. and it will sweep the day. i have no doubt about that. mark: mr. prime minister president trump come up with a plan for gaza which is quite revolutionary, people having opportunity to move about -- cleaning up the territory.

about encouraging or more than encouraging egypt and jordan to take gazan what do you make of all of that? >> i think -- that president trump's proposal is the first fresh idea in years and it has the potential to change everything in gaza. otherwise we can keep coming back to the same thing over and over same old same old same old. you know, we leave gaza becomes again reopened by terrorists we use that as a base to attack israel. and he comes forward and he says let's have a new idea. by the way, i've seen them do this time and again he cuts to the chase he asked you these things that says things -- that people find jarring initially and then i said they scratch their heads. they say you know what, he's got a point here. and sometimes this time too they say he's right. because it happened many times so it's happened this time too. what is gaza? gaza is basically a small area next to 25 miles from tel-aviv.

care about gaza okay here's a chance to prove it. i think this is a novel approach in the correct approach, it is got details that have to be sorted out but two things that president trump -- has been blamed for are totally false. he never said he wants american troops to do the job. guess what, we'll do the job. you know, hamas attacked us. we'll take care of them we'll finish them on. and second thing, he didn't say that american taxpayers money is going to do the job. he said he would get independent finances for it i'm sure he will. so i think this is a very, very good new approach. and rather than discounting it or -- deriding it, i think we should pursue it because i think it is the right approach, of course, you have to get the destination so they can relocate somewhere. i think that's the real issue that is involved here but once you give them the option they'll leave you know how i know that?

you want to make sure he doesn't have an explosive belt on his -- suicide belt. okay, so you asked them to take their shirts off. so now we have photos of thousands of these -- of these prisoners who have, you know, without their shirt. and you will not find one not one emaciated quite a few overweight because they eat and no starvation also they don't exercise. you don't get much exercise in the tunnels and terror towns they built so this is completely false. it's -- it's outrageous these charges in the press are outrageous and where they come from international criminal court it is outrageous not only because they compare israel democratic country which has the highest standards of fighting just war with just means, and they compare us to this monstrous terrorist organization of hamas. it is not only because of that.
