we went home and took a little nap last night. very little. >> carley: what was it last anytime night and this morning looks like people still sleeping. what's the mood like? from the time we left the stadium to the exit, there is a dozen eagles chants for thousands of people and it was just a throng making its way here to bourbon street. it was absolutely packed all night long by eagles fans, here and there some chiefs fans as well that were a little bit more somber. folks here so excited about the eagles getting their second super bowl win. and when you are spending thousands of dollars to come down here, you know it, really paid off for the eagles fans. they outnumbered the chiefs fans in the stadium and all week here in new orleans. >> carley: that's interesting. >> garrett: big payoff for them. >> lawrence: eagles fans as we know can create quite a mess

performance. you got the impression america is back is what i kept hearing from folk. >> carley: donald trump and sporting events is he getting applauded when he goes into seeing him at ufc and now the super bowl. it was interesting to hear the reaction from the crowd. and very affirming for his administration. he is sitting with ivanka trump and the owner of the saints in her box. a neat moment to see followed up by kind of a different moment that took place. >> steve: the way it works at one of these great big events is, you know, there is a jumbotron in the middle of the astrodome. and it takes like one or two seconds before what folks at home actually see. and that's why they put the president up. and it took 1,001, 1,002, before they realized there is donald trump and they started to applaud. at one point, taylor swift was actually on the jumbotron and, if you missed that, it went something like this.

>> bret: 19 states' attorneys general filed a lawsuit and early saturday a judge agreed with them to restrict elon musk and government efficiency team doge from accessing treasury department payment and data systems. they said there was a risk of irreparable arm? what do you make of that? and does that slow you down in what you want to do? >> i disagree 100 percent. i think it's crazy. we have to solve the efficiency problem. we have to solve the fraud, waste, abuse, all of the things that have gone into the government. you take a look at the usaid, the kind of fraud in there. >> bret: and you found significant things? >> we are talking of hundreds of millions of dollars of money to places shouldn't be going. look, i ran on this. and the people want me to find it. and i have had a great help with elon musk, who has been terrific. >> bret: bottom line you say you trust him? >> trust elon. is he not gaining anything. i wonder how he can devote the time to it he is so into it.

poll where a majority of americans approve of the job that donald trump is doing. and, in fact, his approval rating right now is higher than at any point in his first four years and 70% of the people who were polled by cbs and u gov said it's because he is delivering on things he promised he would do when he was running for president. >> carley: yeah, that's right. there were a lot of people, the poll showed that he enthusiastically support what he's doing. and they also say by a large margin that he is doing, if not one they expected but even more than they expected, only 9% and those people clearly have nine standards say he is doing less because of the executive orders tackling the border so quickly into his administration. >> lawrence: also when the president says, this is also just common sense from the standpoint, when he says what is elon getting? richest man in the world. he is not gaining anything from

this. and i think that's why you look at the reaction from the american people versus the democrats that are in leadership that are protesting at buildings. they look crazy right now compared to the person that is home, that wants to get rid of the waste, fraud, and abuse. i think this polling is even going to hurt them even more because it shows that the american public are on the side of president trump, elon musk, and they want change. but they don't seem to be adjusting. >> it's interesting. and it is largely a partisan number. something like 91% of republicans approve of the job the president is doing and only 6% of democrats. 46% of independents. the one spot that -- and donald trump has even said, look, i just got here. 66% say that he has not focused enough, yet, on lowering prices. because, ultimately, when you think about it, it was the cost of stuff and the border that got him elected. but, you know, it takes a while for the cost of stuff to go

down. and i think somebody asked him last week or the week before. he said i just got here. >> carley: when it comes to money, obviously the doge thing is a huge connector. taxpayer dollars being wasted. elon musk about an hour ago posted on x the doge team just discovered that fema sent $59 million last week to luxury hotels in new york city to house illegal migrants. and he said sending this money violates the law and it is a gross insubordination to the president's executive order. that money was meant for ameamerican disaster relief. think about what is going on in north carolina and the lack of money sent there this money going to illegal immigrants in new york city, these are the things that the american people need to know, about how our taxpayer money is being spent. >> lawrence: so true. >> carley: now you have kristi noem saying that organization needs to be rebuilt. >> lawrence: speaking of luxury, carley, when it comes to gaza as well as israel, policies have

largest hits include canada and mexico. they are among the largest sources of steel imports for the united states. the latest tariffs come after president trump delayed a 25% tariff on canadian and mexican goods. and a 10% tariff on canadian energy. the 30 day pause was implemented after both countries extend up efforts counter the illegal flow of migrants and drugs. president posed 10% tariff on chinese imports, retaliatory tariffs against the u.s. those are set to take effect today. in a super bowl interview with bret baier, the president dismissed concerns that tariffs could raise prices for americans saying he does not think that will be the case. and he maintains again, steve, like we are talking about he is serious about wanting to absorb canada into the u.s. > >> bret: the prime minister said this weekend or a group of canadian businessmen, a private meeting, he said that your wish for canada to be the 51st state is a, quote, real thing.
