5:01 am
>> carley: chilly. >> steve: that is right, that is outside, we're inside for tuesday, february 11th "fox and friends." irs agents are about to add immigration epiforcement to their resume. they are being asked and tasked to follow the money to migrant criminals. will we see irs at the southern border. >> lawrence: in suits and doge finding more reckless spending and others say they were hung out to dry. >> it is infuriating to see millions going to somebody that does not have a social security number, is not an american citizen. >> carley: and jesse watters with steve's super bowl bet. >> i made a bet with steve doocy, a big chief's fan, loser wears the other's jersey and
5:02 am
this is not over. >> brian: final -- >> lawrence: you going to put the jersey on? >> steve: stay tune. >> brian: final hour of "fox and friends" and steve is about to get dressed in an eagles jersey. >> lawrence: that is good. >> brian: president trump's immigration crackdown continues and looking to deputize irs agents to boost enforcement efforts. bring your own pocket protector. >> steve: peter doocy joins us. will they wear suits or camo? >> peter: great question the suit could help them camouflage themselves and blend in. new president, donald trump is trying to shrink size of the government and irs is growing. light bulb, take irs employees
5:03 am
biden wanted to hire to go catch illegal immigrants. new letter from kristi noem to, law enforcement personnel available to assist with immigration enforcement in light of recent increase to the irs budget. sometimes irs workers help with tax and mony laundering and sometimes with more traditional enf enforcement. >> they can cover a backdoor, transport and process. noncriminal irs agent, they can help us do intelligence and wrap-around infrastructure planning. we'll take them, we need all the help we can get, this is a big operation. >> peter: counter cartel mission, u2 spy plane is flying and there are aircraft flying
5:04 am
length of the border, the goal is to disrupt cartel and human trafficking and deter people from entering illegally on their own. there are examples it is working. groups of dozens are migrants are turning around long before they get to the border to try to claim asylum, that is part of the reason the number of crossings have fallen in the last couple weeks. back to you. >> steve: peter, during the biden years they were talking about hiring 85,000 irs agent, did they wind up hiring 85,000? >> peter: they're on the way to it, they have until i believe 2031 to get to 87,000 number and not all guys would be in washington, not all doing audits or enforcement. irs has police to go and track
5:05 am
down people who are doing things that are federal crimes. so they are i think about a fourth or 5th to the 87,000. this president has different priorities and somebody realized that as they are trying to shrink size of the in-person workforce in general, there are all these guys that irs has not needed before that could be used. >> steve: send them south. >> carley: interesting. >> lawrence: brilliant idea. you want to be in law enforcement -- you want to keep america safe. >> carley: i think it is smart, too. he mentioned this during his first speech after inauguration in mef nef. the way he phrased it, he will send those irs agents to the border. it seemed like a joke, now there may be meat behind the plan. dhs secretary kristi noem said
5:06 am
this yesterday. she said, ice needs irs agents to assist and serve on task force to build complex cases. i don't view this, we need to -- i don't think this is demotion, this is good work they could be doing. you are pushing paper and doing boring irs audit and you start to work on money laundering, this is great. >> lawrence: the cartel, all about human trafficking, the people and drugs. border patrol has been in tunnels and on the run and looking for ways to regroup, why not have them investigate. >> brian: we have too many irs agents and they are harassing middle and -- middle class
5:07 am
working class people that were only supposed to focus on horrible rich people and now spread to everybody. ultra-rich have ultra-expensive account great at giving the heisman to the irs. maybe i can't fire you, i can put you in place i need you, i think a small portion will do important stuff. other thing, he wants them to quit. >> lawrence: 100%. >> brian: tom homan told sean, have them back up, drive people around. >> brian: really? that is not why you go to accounting school. >> carley: you are -- >> brian:ing which cartel are you from? how do you make small talk? you will not believe it, you have a checkbook you want me to balance while you wait for a holding tank? not sure how this will work out. >> steve: we need irs federal
5:08 am
government runs on money we dut dutifully owe. who is new irs commission? billy long from the midwest. i've known him for a number of years. >> brian: related to shelly long from "cheers." >> steve: absolutely not. billy will call my phone in a minute, he ran on abolishing the irs. combine the fact there is mentality, is this necessary evil? yes, we have to fund the government. elon musk's people want access to technology that the irs is using right now. they want to figure out how to auto mate it. why does a human have to look at numbers when machine with ai can do it that fast through the whole thing in less than a second rather than take three weeks to go through a tax return. >> brian: you have a robot that looks like human to do the work. >> carley: scary, they are the
5:09 am
future. >> brian: they look friendly. >> carley: talking about funding right now, something revealed yesterday on the funding front. >> lawrence: stunning. >> carley: when hurricane helene hit and decimated and aid was not coming in. donald trump made the point fema is misapropriating the money. fast-forward, same point going to california, as well. instead it is going to the migrant crisis and republicans were told they were lying and they called it fake news. yesterday elon musk points out 59 million went to new york city to fund migrants for shelters and food and it was from fema funds. >> steve: and money in our heads, we know fema, when there is a natural disaster, weather
5:10 am
related or the earth shakes or a big fire, fema shows up. never did we think it would go for the migrant crisis. joe biden letting those people in needed to find that money. rationale was it was a border emergency and fema is federal emergency management agency. >> lawrence: it was shady. >> steve: never would have known about it. >> lawrence: until someone, named elon musk, under direction of donald trump started looking into things. they concealed it from the american people. i had no idea new york took disaster money meant for hurricanes, natural disasters. they were throwing out food, they were throwing away federal money given to them to house people.
5:11 am
residents impacted by this were outraged. >> it is infuriating to see millions of dollars going to someone that doesn't have a social security number, did not pay taxes, is not an american citizen, getting this money to live in a luxury hotel in new york when people we're working with can't get bare minimum 42 fema. it is crazy. >> we want people to know, this could be you. if a massive natural disaster destroys your city, there are all these checks and balances in place to help you, that is not true. it is so messed up. there is so much bureaucracy in the mix, you are going to be homeless. that is not acceptable. >> brian: right. that cost new york 12 billion over last 3-1/2 years for joe biden to drop the ball and stop taking our calls. 59 million in the back end and
5:12 am
fema cries poverty. they did get replenished and that is what they're doing. i don't understand major pushback. he's looking at a country or company that is 37 trillion dollars over budget and amassing everyday. we have to make hard choices. none of this is pro-life or pro-traditional thought. this is getting crap out of the budget that private companies and federal government is starting to do. king abdullah is coming to town around 11:00 and going to meet -- king of jordan will meet with president of the united states. at which time president will say it is time for you and egypt to step up and take some palestinians. they can't live in that ub arel. i'm buying it, going to pave it, get it going, build condos and
5:13 am
stop telling me you won't take these guys in. problem with egypt and jordan, they took in the palestinians before and they reeked havoc in their country and kicked them out. that is the problem israel is dealing with today. here is president trump what he saw on released hostages that hamas held for 400 days and how they looked and flashback he got to the holocaust, which led him to a deadline. >> president trump: as far as i'm concerned, if all the hostages are not returned by saturday at 12:00, i think it is an appropriate time, i would say, cancel it and all bets are off and let hell break out. i'd say they ought to be returned by 12:00 on is the and if not returned, all of them, not in drips and drabs, not four and two. saturday at 12:00 and after
5:14 am
that, i would say all hell is going to break out. i'm speaking for myself, israel can override it, for myself, is the 12:00 and if they're not here all hell is going to break out. >> lawrence: they are playing games and we knew this was going to happen. we knew they were not going to abide by the terms. they are getting people in hundreds. israel gets two and four and they get hundreds of terrorists to go back to the battlefield. >> brian: 21. >> lawrence: crazy. >> carley: what led president to say that, hamas accused israel of going against the ceasefire deal and not going to release hostages supposed to be released on saturday. now there is a pause on their end. what stood out about what he said yesterday, you would never hear that from the biden
5:15 am
administration and the family of hostages are grateful for strong messaging, what was being done before was not working. you have to pivot and send a strong message and there could be renewed hope to get all the hostages home. i spoke to parents of edan alexander, he's an american hostage, young boy, mesh american-israeli boy, from new jersey. he loves the knicks, he's a champion swimmer. his sister says he's her best friends. the parents are responding. >> people need to take president trump serious. he does not want to play the ransom or play the games they started to play and we 100% support this claim.
5:16 am
everybody this be out by this time, if not by this saturday, by end of first phase, which is two weeks from now. it is too cruel. >> this is my son, i want him back home and want to hear release of the hostages are going, everything is on track. i am worried. that is why i'm calling everyone to expedite and engage and do this, release the hostages and we'll not forget there is still 76 hostages and six americans in gaza. and we need everyone to come back home. >> steve: right. it is for families like that and families around the world donald trump is taking a stand. look, i've had enough of this crap. let's go ahead and do it now. if not and we heard him say before inauguration, there will be hell to pay.
5:17 am
>> lawrence: something has to change there. and i know there is some people that don't like the president's proposal, the other countries are going to have to accept some people there. iran has one mission. they want to unite muslim islamic world and get them to hate the west and hate israel, as well. these countries had the same people and go back to terrorist ties when they invite them into their own country. if you don't want to accept them, go with other proposal. >> brian: problem iran has, sunnis hate them. abraham accord got it done, they had to bypass the situation. don't let anybody tell you two-state solution has a future. they like to talk in the west and certain leadership in the middle east, but it is not practical, that ship sailed. if they ever had a ship. >> carley: two american-israeli
5:18 am
hostages in gaza now. praying they come home safe. >> carley: headlines, man accused of trying to kill a russian author will be back in new york courtroom today. the 27-year-old suspect is accused of attacking the author on stage during a speech in 2022, stabbing him a dozen times. he's pleaded not guilty to attempted murder. the author is expected to testify during the trial. today on capitol hill, federal reserve chair jerome powell kicks off two days of testimony. powell will appear 10:00 a.m. before senate banking committee and tomorrow before house financial services committee and deliver prepared testimony before taking questions from lawmakers on issues like mon monetary policy, banking and dei
5:19 am
and journey back to common sense, president sttrump instru ing epa to go back to water standards and posting on truth social, he is instructed lee zeldin to revert to previous water standard and flow on sinks, showers, toilets. talking about this before -- >> brian: did he just post this? >> carley: washing machines and dish washers and bringing back common sense regarding light bulbs, he says his standards were axed by biden. and super bowl lix shattered records for viewing. most watched in history. one of those viewers was jesse watters who called out steve for not keeping up his end of the bargain in a super bowl bet.
5:20 am
>> brian: worst thing ever. what do you have to do? >> lawrence: do the right thing. >> jesse: i called it for weeks, steve big chiefs fan, loser wears the other jersey. >> steve: eagles were fantastic. enough said. i lost a bet, i'm wearing a green tie. >> jesse: that is not the bet, we will hand-deliver an eagles jersey to wear tomorrow morning. >> brian: steve has agreed to put this on for one minute. >> steve: clock in the corner. >> brian: can't start the clock until he has it on and over the chin. the clock can start. >> carley: i have my phone, i'll time it for you. >> steve: this is brian westbrook's jersey, know who he was? like villanueva best n.f.l. player in history. >> carley: okay, over the chin.
5:21 am
>> brian: howie long might be upset by that. >> steve: 52 more seconds >> brian: why do we have to hear this song? >> lawrence: let's not. i did not make this bet, my team wasn't in it. >> steve: my team was and didn't show up. >> brian: stand up for a minute. >> carley: do you have a message for jesse watters? just dance moves? is [laughter] >> brian: all right. >> lawrence: he did it. >> brian: 22 seconds. wait it out. don't say it. >> lawrence: how does it feel? does it burn? >> steve: what burns, e-mails and texts that say you should have kept the bet, you were waiting until now and it is one minute. >> carley: punishment over.
5:22 am
>> brian: over, steve. >> carley: stop the watch. >> steve: i will wear it through the commercial. i will not take it off. by the way, eagles were better than kansas city chiefs. >> carley: deserved toin with the game. >> brian: if they had a choice, they would have ended at half-time and saved us time and could have greased poles early in philadelphia. okay to go to break? >> steve: sure. fly, brian, fly. >> brian: judge blocking trump's latest cost-cutting measures, what it means for trump and doge's mission next.
5:26 am
yeah, it is weird that we still call these things phones. well, yeah. they're more like mini computers. precisely, next slide. xfinity mobile customers are connected to wifi 90% of the time. that's why our network has powerboost with wifi speeds up to a gig where you need it most. so, this whole meeting could have been remote? oh, that is my ex-husband who i don't speak to. hey! no, i'm good to talk! xfinity internet customers, cut your mobile bill in half for your first year with xfinity mobile. plus, ask how to get the new samsung galaxy s25+ on us.
5:27 am
>> steve: okay. democrats heading to court to fight donald trump cost-cutting agenda temporarily blocking doge from treasury records and pausing trump's federal employee buyout plan. >> we will fight it out in congress. we will fight it out in the courts. we will fight it out across this country and i promise you, we will win. >> i want to applaud the courts, they are doing a pretty damn good job right now. >> courts shut elon musk down at
5:28 am
the department of justice and fbi and court shut them down at usaid on friday night and court shut them down in the department of treasury. >> steve: well, we're not shutting her down, we're bringing her on. greg k kerri joins us. elections have consequences. if you are in charge of executive branch, you are the sheriff, new sheriff in town. you can do what you want. ultimately democrats might want to take him to court, but who is going to win? >> exactly right. and steve, this was something i observed over and over again in the doj. our career officials vital to day-to-day functioning, absolutely. however, political appointees
5:29 am
are elected and implement the agenda. they are appointed by the guy that won the election. career folks should have power, when in fact it is politicals because of election and judgement of career officials should not surplant that are political appointees. there is a meltdown right now. trump administration is going about it the right way. these are my appointees, they are responsible for this political agenda. >> steve: i think donald trump loves the fact democrats hair is on fire because now they are forced to defend millions and millions and billions of dollars when you look at it, looks like stupid programs through time
5:30 am
have continued or somebody figured out how to squeeze if through congress and it is law of land. >> and government should not be allowed to conduct an audit of finances. treasury department is concerning. the fact a judge said career officials with assess their own data that has personally identifiable information, it is outrageous. there is talk about constitutionality of trump's action, the talk should shift to constitutionality of the judiciary. they are blocking a co-equal branch's furngz legitimate exercise of authority. career fortunatelies should have more access, it is not just ridiculous, politicals should have more access than careers, they were appointed by the person who won the election.
5:31 am
he is cleaning up government and there is mass resistance. >> steve: kerri, for a lot of people, they said, i never heard of usaid before. that was one thing republicans railed against for decades like consumer protection agency, republicans have not liked that, noaa, and stuff like that. the next is department of education and pentagon and the pentagon has so many lobbyists who fan out, you know them, across washington. suddenly republicans are going to go, you know, i'm not sure about that cut. >> it is always about money. people start freaking out, that is what you can trace it to. on the federal buyout action, doge drove, if you take a look at that, no one is being forced
5:32 am
to resign or being fired, they have the option and congress appropriated funds this way. those positions are funded. once they are funded, executive branch can determine how to deal with it. they are offering them a deal, they don't have to take it. i don't see what the issue is there. and clearly federal employees don't either considering how many thousands have accepted that offer. we'll see what happens gifven te interference in that one. >> steve: question. should noncitizens be allowed to vote in our elections? that is heading to court today, what it is all about straight ahead. use just for men® to eliminate gray, there's a great “before and after”. then, there's the 'after the after' — that boost you get when you look and feel your best. and that's why more men choose just for men®.

>> brian: fox news alert. statement from dhs regarding 59 million dollars sent from fema to new york city migrants last week. quote, four employees being fired for circumventing leadership and making egregious payment for migrants in new york city. we have not announced it yet, so we have it first. there are firings and names will be out. bring in new york congressman mike lawler. your that you want about that move? >> it is long overdue, frankly. these funds have been misappropriated going back to the biden administration and new york city, a sanctuary city, has been wasting billions of dollars of taxpayer money, billions with a b, to provide free housing,
5:39 am
clothing, food, education and healthcare to illegal immigrants including here illegally. i applaud dhs for taking action to stop these payments under president trump's leadership. we have incentivized cities like new york and states like new york, a sanctuary state to allow this to continue and it has to stop. >> brian: it cost new york and us billions of dollars because water was wide open for years and mayor that spoke up got exiled. he's about to be, i guess, in a ways, pardoned or protected by this president who sees targeting of eric adams as same thing that happened to him. >> no question. eric adams spoke out against
5:40 am
what the biden administration was doing and said migrant situation was destroying new york city. kathy hochul authorized billions of state taxpayer money to pay for all these expenditures and she's fleecing hard working new yorkers for privilege of driving to work. it really just speaks volumes to how inkocomp at any time and corrupt new york has become under feckless leadership. we have to stop this massive influx at the border, which is what president trump is doing and stop incentivizing states and cities like new york by spending billions and in this case 59 million to support their efforts to circumvent federal law is what this boils down to. states are circumhaven'ting
5:41 am
federal law allowing illegal immigrants to get taxpayer money. >> brian: something else bizarre in new york. top court set to consider noncitizen voting today. noncitizens, you don't belong here, doesn't matter, that would add 800,000 noncitizen voters. why is this a discussion? >> it shouldn't be. new york republicans fought this effort several years ago, we were victorious and it goes to court of appeals. i'm a little concerned because new york court of appeals has been corrupted by kathy hochul and new york democrats. this is why they tried to gerrymander our maps last year and added people who are way too progressive for the court to try and move the court in a different direction.
5:42 am
i am concerned certainly that the court of appeals will make a political decision and not follow the constitution. it is very clear, noncitizens do not have the right to vote in our elections, period. there is reason new york is a sanctuary state and city and the reason is they want illegal immigrants counted as part of the census. that is what this boils down to, they want them to be able to vote in our elections. i believe that it is wrong, it violates the u.s. and new york state constitutions and needs to be prohibited, if court had any courage or any conviction, it will reject this out right today. >> brian: you would think, they want to loosen up and next thing you know,un nacitizens voting.
5:43 am
republicans getting close in new york to winning traditional democratic seats and maybe the governor's mansion and they want to let everybody know we will behind the rule to stay in power. thank you. try to work out one big beautiful bill. westminster kennel club dog show is underway and janice dean is there. we'll go there in a minute. if you might pray with me real quick. lord, you know what's on our hearts. you know where we struggle. you know where we need to be pushed. help us give it all to you. the good, the bad. help us turn to you in everything we do. amen. i invite you to join me in more prayer on hallow, stay prayed up
