what you we can have here and stop and deal with issues later. >> carley: which brings me to this back here at home, kurt, why do you think president trump wants to end this war in europe so badly? it was a campaign promise and top priority for him. why is it america's best interest to end the war in ukraine? >> first off, president trump comes at a human point of view. you look at the terrible loss of life. so many ukrainians killed, tortured, kidnapped. russians have lost their lives too. he wants to see it and from that perspective appeared to put strategic perspective that is taking time and resources and attention because the biggest war in europe since world war ii. to put the future france will come from asia. so to stabilize this and the war and make sure the europeans doing their share of the burden to prevent future were so focused more.

everything is running smoothly. president trump had a conversation with vladimir pitney and ukrainian president volodymyr zelenskyy and they appear to both be on board with beginning to start negotiations to end this war and j.d. vance meeting with the lenski later this. but that could all change very quickly especially when dealing with vladimir putin and also zelenskyy who promised ukrainian people every inch of the territory back most likely won't get that. so things could get really complicated here just because they could, but i'm optimistic. i think president trump and his team are doing right now is pushing the right buttons to get some progress towards actual cease-fire. what i anticipate is putin knows his economy is in bad shape and his military in bad shape. he has to find a deal at some point. trump is letting the leverage come in and even escalate the leverage. but for zelenskyy he has said they recognize they can't take

back all of the territory militarily, so they will have a long-term dispute over russia's occupation and pursued the territory by other means political or diplomatic means. that gives an opening here to president trump to push both sides to stop the fighting. what i anticipate that to happen. you will have a cease-fire. i think that will happen, but i don't think we will have a deep and detailed agreement between russia and ukraine. i think the russians will not agree to anything reasonable. that puts us in a situation to deter russian attacks. i think that is where the administration is trying to get l.a. to step up to present to return future attacks. >> carley: the end of the korean war were no finality to it the demilitarized zone that no and officially to the conflict. so just looking back at this three year long war in so many lives lost, beautiful ukrainian cities lost. is there a lesson to be learned

at the end of the night. excited for for the daytona 500. excited to get another one. >> carley: janice dean said weather could be a factor not expecting the best for sunday. how does that change things? >> it wouldn't be the daytona 500 if we didn't get a little weather. but, you know, what we'll do, we'll adjust to it. i think it's going to be okay. we're going to get to race, for sure. i think it's going to rain a while and then they do a good job of getting the track good and dry. they did last night. >> carley: dale earnhardt won for the first time on 20th start. busch said this is his 20th start. if all the stars align this could be the year for him. what do you think about that? >> i think he has a great chance. last night his car was good. first crash. but, you know, we try so hard to

win one for him. austin had pushed him all the way up. one lap or two laps to go. i think two years ago. we were setting there for kyle to win the daytona 500. the caution comes out. but that's one thing we all want for kyle rcr and all of our friends, the rowdy nation, they want the win for kyle for sure and we're working hard. >> carley: what does it take to win the daytona 500? >> first, you got all the miss all the melee and crashes and all of that. but, if you're there at the e end,.
