11:01 pm
>> welcome to this special edition. >> of hannity. >> i'm jason chaffetz in for sean. and tonight we're at the end of another week of president trump doing exactly what he promised to do. today, he signed an executive order blocking federal money for schools and universities with covid vaccine mandates. yes, they are still out there. earlier this week, he officially welcomed robert kennedy jr and tulsi gabbard into his administration. and all week, the department of government efficiency, or dodge, has been tracking down billions in waste, fraud and abuse. and get this according to reports, dodge has now entered the for the very first time, the auditors. well, they're going to get an audit. this is welcome news for most americans. in fact, during a new axios focus group, 11 out of 11 swing state voters praised trump and musk and want
11:02 pm
their work to continue. meanwhile, overseas, trump is bringing back peace through strength and as a result, american hostages. they're coming home. after trump's stern warning to hamas. another us hostage is expected to be released from gaza this weekend. joining us now with reaction, tennessee senator marsha blackburn. senator, thanks for joining us on this valentine's evening. you know, it's amazing to me that you have a president. if he just does what he says he's going to do, people are like shocked and surprised. and he's having huge success. >> indeed he is. it is. promises made, promises kept. and as you're saying, doge is saving the american people about $1 billion a day. they want to move that up to about $3 billion a day. and indeed, with the audits that they are carrying out, the work that they are doing. you know, jason, the great about this, i
11:03 pm
hear from tennesseans every single day, whether they're democrat, republican, independent, they have all turned into whistleblowers looking for ways to save money for the hard earned taxpayer, hard working taxpayer, because it was hard to earn those dollars. they don't want it to be wasted. they are going through doing their income tax right now, and they want to make certain that the federal government starts to pinch a few pennies, and that they give the taxpayer a break. people are tired of inflation. donald trump said he was going to get that inflation down. that requires the federal government to spend less. and president donald trump is keeping that promise. and doge is a big part of this focus on the economy. >> senator, you've always worked closely with president trump. how how is trump 47
11:04 pm
different than trump? 45. i mean, he has come out of the gates so strong, so fast. he has the experience now that he didn't have before. but how do you see the differences in this administration as opposed to when he took office back in after 2016 election? >> you know, jason, i think one of the big things is the american people gave him such a strong mandate, and they knew what life was like under biden, which was worse than what it had been under obama. and they said, we don't want four more years of this. and the american people have really just joined arms and locked arms. they're working with us. and like i said, it doesn't matter what their political affiliation is. they are saying, we can do this. we can get this country back on track. and tennesseans
11:05 pm
are saying, let's do this. let's make certain that we're spending less, that we're doing more with less. let's make certain that we get inside every one of these departments and pull out the waste. stop the fraud, stop the abuse. let's make certain that we're going to be smart and be good stewards of the taxpayer dollar. that is what they want. they like what president trump is doing on the global stage, and the way hostages are coming home. they like the fact that he has pushed forward really well qualified people who know what they're doing to be a part of his cabinet, and that we are confirming these. we've done 16 so far. and if we have to stay there every week and work every weekend, that is what we're going to do. because the american people said, let's get this job done.
11:06 pm
>> you're an influential member of the senate judiciary committee. passed out of committee. kash patel is the fbi director. but the big question going into next week is can the full senate? will the republicans actually rally around kash patel and install him as the and confirm him as the next fbi director? what is your read on where we're at and will that happen? >> it is going to happen. kash patel is going to be confirmed. he is going to be an outstanding director of the fbi. he is going to end two tiers of justice, two tiers of treatment that we have seen from the fbi. he's going to fight this weaponization. and, jason, the democrats are very fearful of kash patel because they know he knows exactly what happened with russia collusion. and they know that he is going
11:07 pm
to clean house over at the fbi. >> yeah, this is why he's an exceptional choice. and i was proud of, you know, chairman grassley, yourself and others getting behind and getting kash patel safely out of committee and onto the floor. we'll see if those other somewhat weak kneed republicans can, can actually stand the heat in the kitchen and actually do the right thing and give donald trump the right fbi director to work there with attorney general pam bondi. that's that's good news. senator blackburn again, happy valentine's. thanks again for joining us this evening on hannity. >> happy wednesday. >> to you. trump's second term is off to a hot start. and democrats, well, they're not too happy about it. in fact, they've been marching and singing around washington, d.c. screaming, yelling, basically humiliating themselves in public all week. a recent focus group showed that independent voters do not approve of their antics. in fact, one person
11:08 pm
said their behavior was, quote, hovers back and forth between a tiny bit funny and very, very cringe. well said. but as always, we report. you decide. have a look. >> we do. have to. i don't. >> swear in public very well. >> but we have to. >> trump. >> black excellence. >> scares donald trump. >> it scares. stephen miller and it scares. >> elon musk. >> we'll fight. >> against joe. we'll fight elon musk. >> trump and. >> his co-president elon musk, and their enablers in congress and the courts are working overtime to strip away our rights. >> i think trump, donald. trump and. >> elon musk. >> chairwoman green literally showed. a pick. in our oversight congressional hearing. so i thought i'd bring one as well. now, this, of course, we know is president
11:09 pm
elon musk. >> white supremacy is rampant in this country. just look at the current administration and our own legislative body. >> trump's coming. for our unions. he wants us all to fail. he wants us to bow to him. but we want him in jail. >> you get your monster hands off of our money or can you muster moo moo moo? >> can't we just keep playing that song and just kind of. it just brings the country together. good job. democrats. you just make us so proud. well, here now with reaction florida congressman byron donalds, project 21 chairman horace cooper and democratic pollster doug schoen. look, doug, you always call balls and strikes. that's why we love you. you know those songs, those antics and the just constant swearing. i don't know that that's ingratiating themselves to anybody. does
11:10 pm
that move the needle anywhere? that is such an embarrassment from my standpoint. i'm embarrassed for these people. >> yeah. >> jason. >> i'm. >> embarrassed too. >> it hurts them with everybody. >> including the. >> base, because. >> what people. >> want is. >> a loyal. >> opposition that. >> agrees with. >> the administration, where. >> there's consensus. >> like on illegal immigration. >> or for his alternative policies. >> on the economy, inflation, protecting key social programs. that's what the country wants from democrats, not rallies, protests, profanity, and frankly, foolishness that hurts the democratic party and undermines our democratic system. >> congressman donalds, you have to be with these people day in and day out. that's your job. that's what you signed up for. but to be there and try i mean, they're just flailing. look, we're just three and a
11:11 pm
half weeks into the trump administration, for goodness sake. and they they are just flailing like i've never seen before. >> to quote the current minnesota. >> governor, their behavior. >> is just. >> plain weird. i mean, you can't make this stuff up. they're singing all around washington as opposed to being in the offices of capitol hill, working with us to root out the waste of fraud, the abuse. over the last 20 years, the u.s. government has spent $3 trillion on improper payments. let me say it again 3 trillion. so if it takes donald trump and elon musk and his team to go agency by agency, department by department to root out the waste, then so be it. that's what the american people want to see. and i do agree with doug. i think what they want to see from democrats is let's actually find a way to work together to get these things done in a positive way. and as somebody who was the loyal opposition to the previous
11:12 pm
administration, we tried to find areas to work with them, but they simply got everything wrong. the election results this november proved that. but if they're just going to sing and yell at microphones, that's fine. we're going to move. we're going to move without them, because the american people demand that this job gets done appropriately. >> horace, what's your take on all of this? >> i use the word unhinged. >> i'm watching. >> this behavior. and the world's oldest political party is acting in these last three months like a bad high school remake of thelma and louise. i mean, they're literally wanting. it appears to just drive the political party over the cliff. now, i could say as a partizan, yes, that's great, but competition actually works in every area. the whole country benefits if there is a
11:13 pm
robust, aggressive and smart political parties on both sides of the aisle operating. what we've been seeing is something very pitiful, something very sad, and we're going to get pretty close to the point where we start talking about election primaries, and then we're going to be talking about midterm elections. if there's not a course correction. now, this isn't going to look good for them at all. >> doug, you know, it's amazing to me is that trump derangement syndrome is it's alive and well no matter what donald trump says, they're the opposite. so when donald trump talks about common sense things and wants to root out waste, fraud and abuse, they immediately say, oh no, we're against that. and it's just such a bad look. i think that's why that axios poll, 11 out of 11, say elon musk and donald trump keep going, because that's exactly what you should be doing. >> the american.
11:14 pm
>> people, jason, and i agree with you want decisive action. they want fraud, waste and abuse rooted out. they may well trump and must be going further than many americans would go. but you know what? there's been so much indecision and inaction that people want bold, decisive action. my advice to my party is get with the program and stand up for what you believe is right in the context of taking on waste, fraud and abuse, taking on inflation, taking on a comprehensive immigration reform package that tightens the southern border, but does it in a commonsensical way. representative donalds is right. work with the opposition party to get a better outcome. not not demonstrate, yell, use profanity and make fools of yourself. >> congressman donalds, you
11:15 pm
know, one of the amazing things to me is you look at the filling out of donald trump's cabinet. two of those members are actually democratic nominees for the presidency of the united states, rfk jr and tulsi gabbard. and donald trump did what the democrats promised they would do, but never did, which is to expand the tent and be inclusive and bring people together. and so you get an rfk jr, for instance, getting sworn in with tulsi gabbard. it truly is amazing. and yet the maga side of the equation, the republicans are giddy as can be that we got democrats also in the administration. i've never seen that before. >> i think the reason why you're seeing so many republicans being happy with how donald trump has filled out the cabinet is because everybody he has picked is committed to the agenda that he ran on. there's not a lot of difference between the people up who are through the cabinet. you know, rfk and donald trump might have different opinions on some issues. but when it comes to making america healthy
11:16 pm
again, there is no disagreement. and so that's why you see republicans embracing rfk, embracing tulsi gabbard, because they do believe in making sure that our food is healthy for our kids. they do believe in not having a weaponized intelligence community that that operates against the interests of the american people and of and of our elected representatives. and that's the type of common sense approach that not just republicans, but the american people have been thirsting for a very long time in our country. the cabinet reflects that. this is why they're moving very fast through the united states senate. and this is why donald trump has high approval ratings, something that no political prognosticator ever thought was possible. but it has occurred in 2025. >> horace, last word to you. because you know what? i never thought i'd see a kennedy as part of a trump administration. i just never thought it would happen. it's amazing. what we've witnessed over these last
11:17 pm
three weeks is an effort on the part of a fringe element to take over their party and be on the wrong side of 8020 issues. it doesn't matter whether or not you think it's okay for 15 year old boy to shower with a 13 year old girl. most of america does not. and when you talk about this waste that doge has identified again, you want to be on the 20 side instead of the 80 side, where americans who work hard and we're heading into tax season and they're wondering, why am i having to pay for all of this? in honor of valentine's day, let me just say this roses are red, violets are blue. you guys are crazy and you're likely to lose. >> well, said chris cooper, congressman byron donalds, doug schoen, thank you so much for
11:18 pm
joining us. really do appreciate it. all right. coming up, we'll bring you the latest on trump's crackdown on illegal immigration. as senator bernie moreno, chad wolf and sarah carter. sarah carter joined us. when we come back, stay with us. >> ge nova powers america every day. as the leading american energy manufacturer, we've never stopped building the technologies that drive today's economy and define the future of energy. we know an abundant, independent and secure energy system starts here at home. it's why we're investing millions in american manufacturing and creating thousands of new jobs. together, we will lead a new era of energy for america and the world. ge nova.

your mobility, flexibility, and balance, plus. >> stimulate. >> healthy circulation. >> welcome back to this special edition of hannity. today is valentine's day and the white house celebrated with a very special message on its official social media channels. roses are red, violets are blue. come here illegally and will deport you. this, as border czar tom homan joined new york city mayor eric adams this morning on fox and friends. have a look. >> what tom, the border czar has done. i've said it over and
11:23 pm
over again. we need to control our borders and not allow people to come into the country. gang members coming into the country, people who are here to commit crimes. i think what we've witnessed the border czar has, has done. we have seen a substantial decrease in that flow. >> tom. >> you know. the nypd, how. frustrated are they. >> that they can't fully have your back? be able to tell people, tell them exactly where these guys are, be able to go into these raids with you. >> well, they're frustrated. i mean, the nypd wants to protect their streets to and they want to enforce the law, and they want to collaborate with us. >> adams isn't the only new yorker who wants to crack down on illegal immigration. bronx residents are in an uproar over an all male shelter for illegals planned in the borough. but at the same time, local congresswoman aoc, she's promoting a know your rights webinar for illegal aliens trying to avoid ice officials.
11:24 pm
that's helpful. and on the west coast, california governor gavin newsom, he's caving to the trump administration and will veto legislation that bans the state's prison system from cooperating with ice. yeah, that's how the legislature in california rolls. here now with reaction is ohio senator bernie moreno. senator, thank you so much for joining us here. look, i just fundamentally at my core, i just cannot understand the whole idea, premise and execution of a sanctuary city or state. we're talking about the criminal element, for goodness sake, here. these are people committing crimes, accused of committing crimes, and they won't cooperate with federal authorities to get them out of their own communities. well. >> the. >> good news is, november. >> 5th. >> happened and president donald j. trump was elected. and the message. >> is. >> get out to the entire world, especially to would be illegal migrants. illegal aliens don't come to america. because if you
11:25 pm
come here illegally, we're going to eventually find you and we're going to return you. that's why border crossings are down 92%. so look, the message has gotten out to everybody. of course, there's some goofballs on the left still out there like aoc, but i'm hoping the voters do the right thing and throw them out as well. >> yeah, but, senator, what what's the senate? what can congress do to support back up the president? the this idea here, how far will they go? can you withhold appropriations, grant monies, that sort of thing if you're not cooperating with the federal government? why should the federal government and the people's money be sent to their city or state? >> well, i've made it clear to the two mayors, actually, the three mayors in my state and cleveland, columbus and cincinnati who have made public statements saying that they wouldn't cooperate with ice or federal authorities, that if they do that, if they actually block deportation efforts, that we're going to absolutely cut off all federal funding to these cities. we've got to hit
11:26 pm
them right in the pocketbook. we have to make it clear to the voters in those cities that these mayors are more interested in taking care of criminal illegals than taking care of their own citizens. we're not going to put up with it. the other thing is, we have a law that we're ready to put forward called the rules act, that says if you come into this country illegally, you can never claim asylum. you have to wait in mexico while your asylum claim is heard, and you can only enter through a legal port of entry. so we're hoping to get that across the finish line. we've got to get legislation through so that this is now embedded in our laws. >> i mean, i've got my own theories, but the number of people coming north across the border and south across the canadian border, i mean, those numbers have plummeted. you know, aoc and kamala harris was out there, vice president at the time was saying, oh, it's because, you know, climate change and all these ridiculous things. the message, though, from the trump administration is pretty clear. you come across, you're going to get caught, and you may not actually go back to your home
11:27 pm
country. >> exactly. and that's actually the biggest deterrent, because when we reward people who come here illegally, we get more people coming here illegally. so that's what we see with president trump. but we have to embed this in our laws so that going forward, we can never have a repeat of what happened over the last four years when this country was invaded by almost 10 million criminal illegals. we're never going to let that happen again. tom homan is doing a yeoman's work in the senate. we passed a budget resolution to give the white house the tools they need and the money they need to finish these deportation efforts to make certain that we have a safe and secure country. that is job one. that's what this election was about. >> now. it certainly was. and look, you were part of that wave as well. senator moreno, thanks you for joining us tonight on hannity. happy valentine's day. appreciate it. all right. now the data is very clear. it shows tom homan and ice are getting big results
11:28 pm
under trump. fox news digital now reporting that the number of ice arrests in this country has risen over 130% in just one year. and the number of illegals with criminal histories getting arrested is nearly doubled. here now with more are former acting dhs secretary chad wolf and fox news contributor sara carter. look, both of you have been integrally involved in, in this effort and the sea change in difference with donald trump. tom homan and alike and kamala harris as the border czar. it's just unbelievable to me. chad, you saw what's playing out here in new york. just the idea that, hey, we got to get after the gangs, we got to get into rikers island, we got to be able to get these people. tom homan seems to be making some things happen. and mayor adams kind of put on his police hat. you know, he's got a police background and seems to be going in the right direction. >> well, i think you're right. in a sea change is certainly
11:29 pm
what we see across the country, not only with the numbers. the number of apprehensions along that border are dropping, the number of arrests are going up. but also you've got when you've got mayor adams letting ice back into rikers island and saying, hey, we need to cooperate to get these dangerous criminals off of our streets. that is a sea change. and that's because of presidential leadership and president trump and the results that we're just getting. and it's only been four weeks into this administration. so i think there's a lot more to come on the immigration front. on the border security front, this is really just the beginning. but the challenge that the team has is to keep the momentum going and to scale it to get those removals that president trump has talked a lot about. >> yeah, the scaling is correct. but sara, jump in here for a moment about specifically new york because you got a governor who's not necessarily cooperative. you got an attorney general who doesn't seem fit to, well, do much of anything, let alone be supportive of actually
11:30 pm
apprehending and deporting and incarcerating people are are the criminal element, for goodness sake. >> well, yeah. >> you have a governor. who appears to. >> be. >> aiding and abetting the criminal elements. >> we've seen. >> that a lot in sanctuary cities throughout our nation, which is the reason why president trump and tom homan have been very adamant about targeting those sanctuary cities, which, i mean, look, the department of justice has spent over $1.56 billion in sanctuary cities. that's a lot of money. that's money that can be withheld from, you know, local law enforcement and other law, other government entities within those sanctuary cities that are going to need that money. because just like you said, jason, if they're not cooperating, why should the federal government be giving them money? but if you look at new york city and what's happened with mayor eric adams, i was there to see that process happen. i mean, we had illegal
11:31 pm
migrant male men staying in gyms inside the public school system. that's where they were being housed. parents were outraged of the mayor was outraged. he knew something had to be done. we want to be able to protect our citizens. and by the way, we want to be able to protect immigrants as well, even those people that are being trafficked into our nation by these human trafficking organizations that are the worst of the worst, the most nefarious. and this is the reason why the president right now is looking at designating the most ruthless drug cartels and human trafficking organizations, terrorist organizations. it's a way of dealing with them differently than what we've dealt with in the past. and chad is absolutely right. when we talk about our government and moving forward, we have no other way to stop this. but to say this has to be implemented permanently in the united states, so no other president can change this. we need to protect the american people.
11:32 pm
>> yeah, that's what it's all about, is protecting the americans, putting victims and americans first, a radical idea. chad, talk to me real briefly here about the ngos, these non-government organizations. i'm not saying they're all bad. there are some good ones out there, but there are some that have really taken advantage. what can the department of homeland security, what can the trump administration do to root out the bad actors, the profiteers in this mess, in this mess, because there have been billions of dollars pretty much unaccounted for going out the door? >> well, you're absolutely right. what we saw under the under the biden administration were a number of these ngos making more money than they ever have in their bottom line. but you are right. there are certain ngos that help with the process. but i think the first thing that the department of homeland security has done is they've stopped those payments. they've stopped the payments to certain ngos that have just facilitated the illegal entry into the country, the facilitation of that, and then
11:33 pm
the transportation across the country of these illegal aliens. so i think, first and foremost, you have to cut off the funding, and then you have to determine which are those that are actually trying to coach these illegal aliens to either skirt the law or break the law claiming asylum when they know their asylum claim would never pass almost a fraudulent claim. so i think you first cut off the funding, and then you start targeting and investigating those that are that are skirting or even breaking u.s. law. >> yeah. i think when you start to also engage, i say akash patel and the fbi, then that takes it to a whole nother level to work with homeland security on that. chad wolf, sara carter, thank you so much for joining us on hannity tonight. all right. coming up next, the trump administration is fighting back against left wing so-called journalists. we'll explain and get reaction from joe concha and larry elder as more of this special edition of hannity continues right

time ago. and by the way, can anyone. explain if the trump administration is a fascist regime, then why are they trying to shrink the size of government? why are they trying to get more power back to the people? why are they trying to root out waste and corruption? because at last check, jason, fascist governments only expand government. they strip away power and freedom from the people. they thrive when there's waste and corruption. it is the most patently stupid argument anyone could make, given the way that the trump administration and elon musk and doge to this point have been conducting themselves. this is a common sense administration doing pragmatic things, and the polls reflect that, by the way. this is what americans voted for. donald trump is on the 80 side of every 80 over 20 issue going forward. as far as common sense things where if democrats want to be against government waste, if they want to be, i'm sorry
11:43 pm
for it, for that matter, or for not auditing every single department within the government and seeing where possibly we could do some cuts and where the corruption is and where we could save some money and give it back to the taxpayers. if they want to take that side, roll the dice and take your chances, because it's going to be a long time in the wilderness before they get out. >> no, i think well said, joe. i think that's absolutely right, larry. democrats, they don't seem to have a message, and they don't seem to have a leader to articulate that message, whatever it is. >> no, they don't have a message. they don't have the white house. obviously, they don't have the senate. they don't have the house. all they have are lawsuits and calling donald trump names. and regarding the media. do you believe that adolf hitler, when he was in power, murdering his enemies, would have allowed his media to refer to him as a fascist and a nazi and a crook and a tyrant? we have a lively, thriving media where people can say stuff like that. this is the first amendment. to my knowledge, donald trump has not
11:44 pm
shut that down. >> real quick, joe. the associated press not letting him on air force one. what what do you think of that move by the white house? >> well, it's the best unintentional comedy of the week. jason, hearing how the associated press, because they haven't been permitted onto air force one into the oval office, that somehow a threat to free press and a chilling attack on the first amendment. at last check, the ap still has every right to report on the trump white house, however they see fit. but the white house also because it's a privilege to cover the president, not their right. they could say you could be in the oval office or air force one. there are dozens of other outlets and reporters that deserve the right to be with the president during certain times, gaggles or in the oval office and the ap. just because you have that on your press credential doesn't make you special, especially the way they've conducted themselves as a wire service over the last couple of years. so this is the way it works.

11:52 pm
the way that trump spoke at davos to the europeans. he said, i love europe. vance was saying, we're west. this is the same culture. join us. open up and we've learned our lesson. we went through this dark age with biden. it doesn't work. open borders don't work. illegal immigration doesn't work. censorship doesn't work. you know de-industrializing doesn't work. green power doesn't work. so they don't want to hear that. they would rather be ideologically pure and poor than affluent and apostates. it's really sad. they're like democrats here in america. >> senator and ambassador, i don't know what to call you these days, but you've done it all. what was your take on the vice president's speech? >> well, we know. >> he's very intelligent. >> and he's an. >> excellent speaker. >> i thought he was the perfect person. for the. >> job to go. >> there in. >> particular and give him a dose. >> of reality, the new reality, the. >> ineptness of the biden administration. >> is no longer there. >> america is. >> back and. >> it's not going.

11:54 pm
europe. and the result is they're sorrier and poorer for that because they don't encourage people like elon musk to thrive. we do. they have this envious culture that they want to pull down people who are renaissance people, and we like to encourage them. we think they help everybody. and so those, those really dour faces were really something. they were so angry to be told what they know was true. and he wasn't trying to be mean. he was trying to say, join us, you, you're europe, you could be great. and all you have to do is just follow your your former traditions. and look what we did. we came out of the darkness to you can do it. and yet they didn't want to hear it. they better be careful because they don't have much power and they're dependent on nato and they don't have any energy. they need our gas and our defense. so i wouldn't be too cocky and cynical if i were them. >> yeah. senator elon musk can parallel park a rocket, and he built the most viable electric
