[laughter] charlie: donald trump has decided to hang his mug shot just outside the oval office. this is the door that you walk through, everybody who walks into the oval office from the outside has to walk through. there's another priest entrance across the oval -- private entrance, but if you're anybody, head of state, reporter, anybody who walks into the oval office from the outside has to walk right by that new york post cover showing donald trump's mug shot. and it's such a great message. it's, like, oh, you think you're going to do manager to to me? no -- something the me? no. it's all been done to me. rachel: well, it's also a reminder when he took that mug shot, it's a bad ass mug shot, let's be honest.

he's angry in it. i think he channeled the anger of the american people that the government was weaponized in this way against a political candidate. we've never seen anything like this in the united states, and you see that there. i was in the oval office a, you guys, the day that sean was sworn in. is and he had said to us that he was getting a bunch of paintings brought up of, like, different presidents. and then the other day sean said, he got them up. they're all over -- like, all the a presidents he loves are surrounding him in the oval office now. but this one was not there and, amazing, as you said, everybody can see it. it's not the first time you've seen something that was supposed to humiliate him, he's turned it boo a triumph. think about it. i'm not making this comparison to jesus but, let's face it, the cross was meant as a humiliation, and the cross was turned into a sign of triumph i think in the same way donald trump has said i'm not going to let you humiliate me. i'm going to look in the camera,

show my anger, and now i'm going to hang it the oval office -- lisa: i just want to go on the white house tour where he's, like, over here is when the left swung at me and missed, and now i'm president. they only fueled his fire. look at what he's been doing. every day is christmas, right in it's like one day dog years, one today in trump's administration is like four years in another administration x.this has just fueled him to get more done. you can tell that he's learned a lot of lessons from his first term. hook how organized this administration is. you've got a lot of outside of the box thinkers, including president trump when he ran for office the in 2016 is. he's surrounding himself with disrupters, with reformists, people who are outside of government. that that's the angle they're taking. and he's really going to go down as one of probably the most transformational political figures in history. rook how he's -- look how he's changing the republican party, look at the corruption that he's

been able to expose. rachel: i think the greatest hinge is this great realignment. the idea that democrats have nothing to stand on because every good idea they've had donald trump has now implemented x. if they have nowhere to go because they're just anti-trump. lisa: they sing. rachel: ray yeah, they sing in protest. i'm rooting out government corruption, i'm getting rid of all -- and they're, like, they're against that, you know? i'm for whatever, and they're just against everything he's for which leaves them with nothing. charlie: yeah x. they clearly did not spend the last four years sitting on the beach. they were plotting every minute of it. rachel: oh, donald trump in yeah, no question about it. lisa: joe biden was on the beach. rachel: trump was plotting. exactly. charlie: the doj now moving to dismiss the corruption charges brought against new york city mayor eric adams. rachel: this comes as the mayor moves to hut down a number of illegal migrant shelters even as he plans on suing the federal government to claw back pima a

funding for migrant care -- fema funding. lisa: chanley painter has the details. >> reporter: good morning, everyone. the justice department formally requested the judge to drop that case against mayor with adams a, it prompted at least seven prosecutors to resign in protest. u.s. attorney general pam bondi's chief of taffe saying, quote, the decision to dismiss the indictment of eric adams yet another indication that this doj will return to its core function of prosecuting dangerous criminals, not pursuing politically-motivated witch hunts. adams reacted by clarifying that he did not make a deal saying this when asked if he offered to help the trump administration with the immigration problem in exchange for his case dismissal a. watch. >> my attorney, alex spider, one of the top trial attorneys in the country, imagine him going inside saying that the only way mayor adams going to assist in

immigration -- which i was calling for since 2022 -- and if you drop the charges. that's quid prequo, that's a crime. -- quid pro quo. >> reporter: the democratic mayor plans to sue the trump administration over its clawback of $800 million in fema -- 80 million in fema payments intended to provide services to migrants. this as the mayor also announces the closure of six more emergency asylum assumer sites across the city saying on x, the last tent-based sheltering site will be coming down very soon. mayor adams joined "fox & friends" friday alongside tom homan to discuss working with the federal government over working on these immigration issues. >> up his butt saying where the hell is the agreement we came t- [laughter] >> and i want i.c.e. to do -- we're going to do it for the safety of the people of thisty. >> reporter: and since meeting with homan this week, agreeing i.c.e. agents can operate on

rikers island for criminal investigations among many other discussions, guys. rachel: thank you, chanley. great report. well, we saw that interview on "fox & friends" yesterday, charlie. and both of us were amazed by it. i mean, i just was talking about this realignment. you have, you know, the mayor of, you know, one of the most important blue democrat cities aligning with donald trump's and tom homan, the border czar, to say, yeah, let's work together on getting rid of this. and, by the way, he had a the biden administration weaponized against him as well. donald trump definitely wanting to highlight that as a well. charlie: yeah. and, you know, obviously there are a lot of political machinations that have sparked in the last couple of days where you have the governor of new york threatening to remove him as mayor -- rachel: right. charlie: it kind of makes you -- and, you know, when knows what went on that led to the federal charges in the first place against eric adams.

i, you know, assume -- i always assume the worst. but, you know, the reason democrats in the city are going after him now is because he has has agreed to work with donald trump on illegal immigration. rachel: and admitting that it's not working, that the city is hurting from it. lisa: and you also had an administration with the biden administration that went after his political opponents, right? that's what his administration if did. i think what's good and sawed is about where we are -- sad about a now, even the gotways, a 93% drop in the ten executive actions on immigration-related issues, with the deportations. but what's sad about it is the biden administration could have stopped it. they wanted that to happen. expect reason they wanted it to happen is we've got democrat congresswoman yvette clark who said i need more migrants for redistricting purposes. they put our lives at work here in new york and elsewhere throughout the country for political gain, for power? if that's what it came down to. rachel: you're absolutely right.

and i remember interviewing presidents -- residents in southern texas going, why is this happening? they were, like, they were the first ones, like, deeply, deeply affected by it. they were, like are, this is intentional. we don't understand why, but it's to obvious this is intentional. charlie: true. rachel: when you talk to border patrol, when you talked to people off the record, they would say exactly what you said, this has to do with votes. this was some sort of plan either to get more votes or to destabilize the country for system reason. we saw that george soros was a behind a lot of this. but it's interesting to see that mayor adams saying that donald trump was right about illegal immigration did get him -- charlie: and the politics of this are going to to get much hotter in the next couple of weeks as the trump administration starts clawing back tens of millions of dollars of american taxpayers' money that they're bringing back from new york that came here to put

illegals up in hotels. rachel: and i've been to those hotels. lisa: great report, i remember that. rachel: it's a beautiful hotel, and it is trashed now, by the way. and we were paying posh tan, all of us were paying exorbitant, you know, prices and room rates. it's at full capacity on our dime. so they could be there. lisa: and american americans got tired of being put last, of all of that which is why president trump won. immigration was the second most important issue to american voters in this past election. but i love this too because it's crazy that since president trump was elected, ceos have now found their, you know -- charlie: spine? in. lisa: anyway, okay, so let's listen to this from jamie dimon, ceo of jpmorgan chase. listen to this. >> a lot of you were [bleep] zoom -- [laughter] and you were doing the following okay in looking at your mail, sending texts to each over [bleep] the other person is, okay? if.

[laughter] not paying attention, not reading your stuff, you know? and if you don't think that slows down efficiency, creativity, creates rudeness, it does. don't give me the [bleep] work from home friday works. i call a lot of people on friday, they're not [bleep] to get ahold of. you have a choice. you don't have to work at jpmorgan. if you don't want to work at the company, that's fine with me. i'm not mad at you, don't be mad at me. it's a free country. but this country's -- company's going to set our own standards and to do it our own way, and i've had it with this stuff. mideast least he finally is tough now? if where was this the past four years? rachel: this all a started with to covid, as you know, people working from home, and if people like it. and i get it. [laughter] donald trump came into office and said one of the things that all these secretaries discovered is when they got into their agencies or the departments, that no one was there. people have been working from home since covid including in

the past administration, some of the secretaries themselves. so donald trump is, like, everyone's going back to work. all the a secretaries of these departments have said you guys gotta get back to work. and if now, as you said, some of these corporations who have been wanting it, they've been wanting this, but they've been afraid to, are now saying, darn it, get back to work. it's not as productive. we can't get our mission if accomplished without everybody in the building. if you don't want to come to the building, as he said, maybe we can do without you with. charlie: so you've got jamie dimon going full doge at one of the largest banks in america, and the question is, what's next? who's next? the dominoes are going to fall, and everybody's going to start going full doge on their work forces. it'll probably make everybody a lot more efficient. lisa: i think the back to work mentality underscores what a hard worker president trump so and and how focused he is. he realizes he's got four years, two years until the midterms, who knows if he'll have a

republican majority -- charlie: he wants everybody engaged. lisa: we're seeing the downstream effect of that. rachel: that's exactly right. you will never see a harder working president than this. we talked about last week, we mentioned how somebody took a picture of the white house, and the oval office light was on at 5:30. i was laying in bed with my if husband, and he got a call at 9:30 at might from the president. he is working at all times. he's calling and talking about we need to get this done tomorrow, blah, blah, blah, blah. 5:30, 9:30. the american people are getting their money's worth, i can tell you that. leyna: lisa: and we saw it during the election. he was, like, five states a day if not more. i don't know how he does it. ray yeah. he's exciting everyone around a him, and as you said, it's moving into the private sector as well. lisa: all right. well, turning now to your headlines, luigi mangione releasing his first public statement since he was charged

with first-degree murder after the execution-style killing of united health care ceo brian thompson. mangione saying, quote, i am a overwhelmed by and grateful for everyone who has written me to share their stories and express their support. if hmm. all right. california gop lawmakers introducing a series of bills to promote fairness in women's sports as the state refuses to follow president trump's new executive order. the legislation requires students to play on teams based on their biological sex rather than gender as well as allowing parents to remove their child from situations that promote transgender ideology. the state the lawmaker behind the bills writing this: we know the state of california going to do everything it can to resist and avoid compliance with federal law, so it's our role to try to force change at the state and local level. and did you hear about this? a new bill in arizona would make howdy the official state greeting.

jeeps and the cars that that they take us down, you feel like you're in a john wayne movie. it's, like, the wild west. charlie: and it's also a, it's an endless state. and it is wildly diverse. rachel: yeah. charlie: you've got from the mountains to the desert, it's amazing. lisa: i've got to go. this is inpyring me. okay. we're doing it. we're making it happen. charlie: okay. so we have a new poll out that shows liberal women are the most unhappy, honely and -- lonely, and conservative women ages 18-40 are married at a rates 20 percentage points higher than liberal women in the same age group. rachel: look at these numbers, you guys. liberals are married at 3 11th. moderates at 37%. conservatives, 51% of them are married. so some people saying with this study that that might if be an -- might be an indication of why their happiness. is so this study has been done for 20 years. it used to be -- or more than that. i think it's more like 30 years.

it used to be that liberal men were the most unhappy, and now things are switched, and and liberal women are now the most unhappy. so the question -- charlie: so this even compares men to women as well? rachel: yeah, it does. charlie: interesting. rachel: we're comparing moderate, liberal and conservative women. conservative women just markedly more happy. lisa: i am not married, i'm conservative, but i'm still happy -- rachel: she's working on it. he's he's. joey:. the public square, agree or disagree. charlie: here to weigh many is missouri senator eric schmitt. great to see you, senator. i was really struck by that entire speech from j.d. vance and especially when he said to them, he asked, it's not what you're fighting against, it's what you're fighting for. and i thought it was kind of -- it was pretty amazing to hear him lay out for them the importance of the most basic things like free speech and freedom of religion. >> i totally agree. i was there in the audience and watched the speech live, and i thought it was a great speech and a message that needed to be delivered. if we really believe in this thing called democracy, our constitutional republic, we have to defend the right of people who, you know, we disagree with to say what they want to say. and it's that level of dissent, i think, that makes us stronger and having an honest situation is. it's a pressure release valve is. for me, it was particularly

pointed because i was attorney general in missouri, we brought the missouri v. biden lawsuit that exposed the fight the eye lens conservatives. we see it in the homeland. president trump wants to move away from that kind of movement that the left has been captured by. it is the alive and well here in europe, and it was an important message to deliver. charlie: so you were in the room. what was the reaction of everybody that you were sitting with? >> well, let's just say i was one of the few people standing and clapping. [laughter] but i think that, but let me say this, i actually think -- and part of the reason why i'm here is i think we have to be honest and we have to stop telling our european allies what they want to hear and tell them the truth. and so for me, the message if i'm delivering is we have the pivot to china in the united states. they are our chief adversary. the 32911 1st century's -- 21st century's going to be defined by

who wins this struggle. our allies have to step up for their own defense. their industrial base has been depleted, they don't have armied to to -- armies to defend their own borders. i'm glad j.d. vance, our vice president, my friend, delivered that message about free speech here on the european continent where people are literally being arrested for praying outside abortion clinics and being censored online. charlie: it's truly extraordinary. and e had that funny moment where he said this may be the last applause i get in this room, and then he just launched right into that. you mentioned a minute ago and you're right, obviously, you were one of the early warriors for free speech here in the united states. obviously, a lot of your former democrat colleagues, attorney generals are going up against the trump administration trying to prevent elon musk, donald trump, doge from basically make

manying the executive -- making the executive branch more efficient. how is that going to may out? -- to the play out? if. >> they're going to ultimately lose. i mean, the democrats right now are just sort of on their heels. they don't have their bearing, they don't have a leader. they've been very focused on unpopular issues, and really they're swinging at every pitch. and and they're throwing as much as they can up against the wall to see what sticks. none of these cases are going to hold occupy -- up. president trump's dealing with the executive branch. of course the chief executive has ability to make decisions on personnel and on wasteful programs that have been, you know, we're not line iteming in budgets $2 million for guatemalan sex changes. that is what an administrative agency has decided to waste taxpayer dollars on. so president trump has every right to rein that in. so i think as these make their way through the court they might find a friendly judge here or
