immigration enforcement actions before all this broke, he will continue to be supportive of those efforts even after all this happened. i will say, one thing is not entirely thrilled about the way this went down is the fact that we seem to have lost several excellent top conservative prosecutors at the justice department. these are not liberals. these are strong conservatives. until my hope here is that which the administration gone about it in a slightly different way so we could both get strong immigration enforcement will also ensure we have good conservative prosecutors at the helm. kevin: fair enough. i get it. i also think especially when you talk to democrats they are going to say this is all about frantically trying to kiss up to the administration and the problem of course with that is that is legal consequences were that the case. let me get you, elizabeth on this, this is senator amy klobuchar. she says was listen, republican siding with doge are a danger to democracy you've heard that expression before they are also

claiming there's a constitutional crisis. your reaction to this from senator klobuchar? >> you know the constitution. you know they cannot just freeze these abounds. by the way a whole bunch republican appointed judges as well as democrat appointed judges have stood up and said this is illegal. it is unconstitutional. kevin: she says this is unconstitutional but i think in the separation of powers executive does have the right to decide when or even if some monies which have been allocated by congress can beat distributed or reviewed is that fair to say? >> there are a lot of problems with the doge and elon musk actions being taken. first of all, no one normally someone acting with the authority of elon musk goes through the constitutional process of being confirmed by the senate. we see that with other trump nominees to head cabot. he has not had that checks and balances approach applied to him. even though he's going to use

this very broad sweeping power. we've already seen challenges in thethe courts stopping some of e actions that would stop the congressional power of the purse as it was intended by the constitution from being respected. that means that when congress decides that money is going to be directed for specific purposes that it is directed to those purposes and lessers are really good reason for it and the president goes through the proper channels to do so. what this is about we want to make sure fundamental democratic principles and i mean that in the terms of the constitution and protections for the american people are being respected whether it's a separation of powers, checks and balances, congressional oversight. making sure the american people are protected from corruption from any source that is something americans of all stripes have generally supported. that's why a lot of the trump executive orders have been stopped in the courts these are not just liberal judges who

350 teachers and education support staff just this week from every state in this country. and what they said to me was we are scared. we are scared because we know the impact of real cuts. we know we will have booming class-size as we know students with disabilities will not have the services they need. but teachers all over this country are determined to work with the parents who are saying the same thing. federal cuts to education impacts real students in a way that will not be able to meet the needs of every students and provide them with what they deserve. >> oonly asking for and i want o drill down a little be bit of wt the senator said. which is, our rankings globally speaking have not gone up since the creation of the department of education for that is his thought, his suggestion.

and fire department just hours ago. you can see the vehicle in front and papartially submerged. this is what you will see across parts of tennessee going into kentucky. roads that are also submerged and blocked off to oncoming traffic to the left of this road you can see another home that appears to be at least halfway submerged. a neighbor who lives right across the street telling me there's actually a truck that is completely underwater giving perspective as to how dire the situation is some of the residents here. the city of clarksville right now asking residents to stay put to avoid these areas we've had a lot of people stopping by to take pictures where they want to make sure first responders do have accessibility to these areas we know the situation is still ongoing but just two hours west of us in tennessee we have a dm that has failed they are warning residents to get the higher ground.
