devoting all that energy and billions and billions of dollars to that war over that disputed territory, which ukraine will wind up losing the territory, we know that will happen. that will be part of the deal. donald trump revealed he was asking ukraine essentially the way he negotiates, he was asking ukraine for a big chunk of their rare earth, the stuff we need. according to "washington post," ukraine rejected that proposal and they are working on a counter proposal. may not be gigantic amount we need, they are going to give us access to it, where we can get it if we need it. a lot of the stuff is in china and hard to get. >> kayleigh: we've given a lot to ukraine, this is art of the

weeks and weeks, that may be the process because of the deal, we would like to see them out as soon as possible and we continue to coordinate. who wouldn't want the hostages to be home and with their families? >> lawrence: look at the president's comments, a portion has been missed in this. he said, it will be up to israel. president has been trying to negotiate this deal in good faith and holding israel, let's give them a negotiation period and see how this plays out. now he's saying if you don't release hostages, i will let israel finish the job and start to see that, i pray that these islamic terrorists do the right thing and release hostages. i have little faith. surrounded the hostages with equipment that can explode, why they have not been able to rescue them. i said this from the beginning, phase two, they have no

>> this morning a new study may have the answer to the age-old question are we alone? turns out this study thinks that maybe human life on other planets could be far more likely than we thought. our next guest co-authored the out of this world study. penn state astronomy professor wright. i found it interesting you mentioned that nasa used to be disengaged from the search for extraterrestrial life. what's happening? >> these arguments have been made for a long time that life in the universe might be super rare. humans might be super rare. we found a lot of arguments don't hold that much water. those arguments convinced a lot of people for a long time at nasa and wouldn't touch this stuff so funded with private donations and work being done in other countries.

in the last five years nasa has gotten back in the game and the search for life in the universe hasn't been stronger. a lot of colleagues at nasa trying to support the work are worried they won't do it for long or have jobs at the end of the week. i don't want to see america lose its science and the great science nasa is doing. >> there is a ton of public intrigue in trump declassifying documents pertaining to ufos. it is somewhere in the wheel house. what do you think about those documents and ufos? >> well, as you say i don't study ufos. i don't think they must have to do with aliens but i think it's reasonable to try to understand what they are and perfectly reasonable for nasa and the government to try and figure it out. i don't think it has any -- >> you did say in the point i was reading you don't believe you've seen credible evidence of these ufos?
