>> over the weekend, i watched groundhog day with bill murray. my younger daughters had never seen it before. it has one of the most profound messages of any movie i've ever seen. now, granted, i haven't watched a lot of movies, but i want everybody to watch groundhog day again from beginning to end and text me what you took out of it. let's do some text right now. eric from cincinnati. johnny truman was president during world war two. get it together. johnny just got dodged. from lexington, canada, booed our national anthem. the tariff just got 10% higher. brian from new albany, indiana. scarves and straws are making a comeback. don't be scared, jesse. i'm watters. this is my world.
11:01 pm
>> welcome to hannity. this president's day, and tonight, president donald trump, elon musk are on a mission to save america from the grips of an all powerful federal bureaucracy. and frankly, it's now or never. well, in washington, they've talked about ending waste, fraud, abuse, corruption for decades. and it is sending democrats into a fit of hysteria, which i'm perfectly fine with. take a look. now you're going to rescue astronauts. and now and again you do. you do all of this. i would think liberals would love the fact that you have the biggest electric vehicle company in the world. yeah. >> i mean, i used to be adored. >> by. >> the left, you know? not anymore. they're so these days that. >> i mean. >> i really didn't. >> i mean, this this whole sort of. >> like, you know, it's they call it like trump derangement syndrome. and, you know, you don't realize how real this is until like, it's you can't reason with people. so, like, i
11:02 pm
was at a friend's birthday party in l.a, just a birthday dinner, and it was like a nice, quiet dinner and everything was everyone was behaving normally. and i happened to mention this is before the election, like a month or two before. i have to mention the president's name. and it was like they got shot with a dart in the jugular that contained, like, methamphetamine and rabies. okay. and they're like, wow. and i'm. >> like, what. >> is wrong, guys? like, you can't have, like, a normal conversation. yeah. and it's like it's like that become completely irrational. >> now, this is a really fun interview to be a part of and very revealing and interesting. we hope you'll join us for that interview. president trump, elon musk tomorrow, 9 p.m. eastern. you don't want to miss a minute. and as you just heard, despite his amazing leadership, let's see. electric cars, solar power, space, solar power, space x, national defense rescuing astronauts in a spare time. neuralink that may 1st day restore sight to the blind and allow people with
11:03 pm
spinal cord injuries to walk again. the left just simply hates elon musk. it's irrational. makes no sense. he just exposed waste, fraud, abuse and corruption. after all, he's working with president trump to audit their golden goose. we'll have a lot more on that in a moment. and not long ago, he bought their favorite platform, twitter, and he allowed the free flow of ideas, ideals and opinions and zero government influence for the very first time. he fired all of the left wing hall monitors and the word police, and now anyone is free to just log on to x give any opinion they want, leaving democrats apoplectic and furious. needless to say, it is a sad state of affairs at the democratic party. the days of peace, love, free expression. they are long gone. this is now a far left wing, radical, extreme party that detests liberty and freedom, especially freedom of speech. instead, they promote the virtue of censorship, strict government
11:04 pm
control, the rights of illegal immigrants over the safety of american citizens. they support reckless spending of tens and tens, and likely hundreds of billions of dollars. waste. fraud. abuse, corruption. and they are fighting what they stand as the party fighting for men's rights to play women's sports. and dissent is not welcome. okay. in fact, according to the dnc de facto spokeswoman at cbs, margaret brennan, free speech is bad and that it caused the holocaust. really? take a look. >> he was standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide, and he met with the head of a political party that has far right views and some historic ties to extreme groups. the context of that was changing the tone of it. and you know that that the censorship. >> i disagree with you
11:05 pm
specifically. about the right. i have to disagree with you. >> and then secretary of state rubio went on to give her a history lesson, just like j.d. vance did weeks earlier. we're going to have a lot more from this weekend's truly insane anti-free speech. reporting from cbs in a minute. but as you can see, far left democrats like margaret brennan, they detest the constitutional rights that do make this country so great. but the american people, they know better. legacy media is dead. they threw everything they had at donald trump and he's president anyway. and now, thanks to president trump and all of you who put him back in office, well, that american spirit is making a massive comeback. the days of apologizing for america are over. this is the single greatest country god ever gave man. and it's okay to proudly stand up for the values that fostered the american dream. or cheer the president, you know, as he takes a ride in the beast on the track at the daytona 500 to pace the field before that
11:06 pm
iconic race. take a look. >> what happened to. >> the. >> international speedway. >> and the. >> france family. >> we'd like. >> to welcome. >> back the 45th and. >> 47th president of. >> the united. >> states 50. >> it was only four short weeks ago. we had a president that wouldn't even know what building he was in or where he was up north in canada. the mood wasn't so cheerful over the weekend. a crowd full of canadians were booing our national anthem. and i have a few words for canada in a minute. during a great hockey match against team usa, where a fight broke out nine seconds into the game. take a look. >> and see. >> by the. watch by the. eyes
11:07 pm
you have been. >> as a former hockey player myself. what? what happened next? this is legendary. in the first nine seconds of the first period, team usa dropped their gloves, squared off three fights, break out against the canadians three separate times. physically dominating team canada during the fights, and they won 3 to 1 in a decisive victory and a humiliating defeat of the canadians in their own national sport in montreal and on and off the ice. well, canada and little justin trudeau would be wise to realize that this free ride that they've been having from us is over. and for all of you in canada, thank you for watching. you need to start securing your own border. you need to start contributing to your national defense because you rely on us, and you need to start paying your fair share to nato. and if canada doesn't
11:08 pm
want free trade, okay, there will be reciprocal tariffs. it has to work both ways. even before donald trump was sworn into office, canada charged hefty tariffs on certain american agricultural products. they completely blocked other products. and for some reason, the u.s. also regularly is giving canada tens of millions of dollars in foreign aid. we don't deserve to be booed, and we're not going to take that thanks to doge, thanks to elon musk. this kind of usual spending in the name of foreign aid that is going to come to an end and not a moment too soon. and according to testimony from the ceo of lexisnexis, more than 1 trillion of your hard earned tax dollars stolen during the height of covid. most of that money going abroad, not helping americans. and the gao reporting. last year alone, biden wasted $236 billion. that is nearly a quarter of $1 trillion wasted
11:09 pm
in a year. and meanwhile, elon musk discovers this reveals it to the american people. he announced even more than 20 million people over 100 years old. 20 million are still listed on the social security database. in other words, the federal government could. we don't know yet, but they are listed on the database. they could be sending checks to people who are long dead or their relatives that are cashing the checks. now, of course, doge is rooting out waste, fraud, abuse, corruption all across the federal government. they've already recovered billions and billions in wrongful spending while reducing the size of government, and liberals now are screaming into the void. and but here's an interesting point that i'm pretty sure the mainstream state run media mob won't tell you about, because it wasn't long ago. top democrats, people that you know, were advocating for donald trump's very plan. take a listen. >> this report tells us how to
11:10 pm
cut waste. cut red tape. streamline the bureaucracy. change procurement rules, change the personnel rules, and create a government that works better and costs less by. >> paying for these plans. first, with cuts in government waste and efficiency. >> second, with. >> cuts, not gimmicks and government spending. we'll prove that we can spend the money we have in an appropriate way and stop wasting so much of it. >> but over the next several months, we will be looking at every other agency and program asking the direct question do we really need this agency? do we really need this program? 20 years. >> into a period in our history where most american wage earners are working longer work weeks for stagnant wages? it is outrageous for the government to have rules and regulations which take those people's money from them and spend it on things that cannot be justified. >> one of the commitments that i made to the american people
11:11 pm
was that we would do a better job here in washington, in rooting out wasteful spending. >> are amazing. they sound like donald trump, except they never got the job done. how times have changed. now, tonight, there are reports of a collective panic in the washington swamp. a flood of new real estate listings as trump dismantles the washington bureaucracy at a rapid pace. which brings us to our hannity washington brief with caroline levin. and joining us with more white house press secretary, the one and only caroline leavitt. you got i got these clips today. and i looked at them and i said, oh, wow. they wanted to be donald trump, but they weren't able to pull it off. what's your reaction? >> that's exactly right, sean. if you just watched that video, but shut your eyes and listen to the words from those democrat politicians, you would think you are listening to president trump, elon musk and our entire administration who
11:12 pm
are saying the exact same things that democrat politicians promise the american people they would do for decades. president trump is just the first president in our lifetimes to actually do it. and now you see the democrat party and the mainstream media spiraling out of control about a very simple promise rooting out waste, fraud and abuse from our federal bureaucracy. this is a promise president trump campaigned on. he is now delivering on it. and i have been fighting fake news reporters all day long here in the washington, d.c. swamp who are trying to fearmonger the american people into believing that this administration is going after their hard earned tax dollars and their hard earned social security checks. so i want to set the record straight on your show tonight, sean, and i'm very grateful for the opportunity to do so. president trump has directed elon musk in the doge team to identify fraud at the social security administration. they haven't dug into the books yet, but they suspect that there are tens of millions of deceased
11:13 pm
people who are receiving fraudulent social security payments. and so their goal in going into the social security administration is to identify three things. number one, to identify duplicate payments and to end them. number two, to identify payments that are going to deceased people who are no longer living and should no longer be receiving that money. and number three, to protect the integrity of this system for hard working americans who have been paying into it their entire lives. so rest assured to all of the people watching your show tonight, if you paid into the system honestly, you will continue to receive your social security tax checks. do not buy into the lies from the legacy fake news media who are trying to fear you and scare you into believing otherwise. this is what we've seen them do about president trump for years, with every promise that he has made, and he's going in there to protect your hard earned money. that is the ultimate goal. >> okay, now they have
11:14 pm
apparently found 8.7 million americans who are listed. now, that doesn't mean that we don't know if they're being paid, but they're listed and they're on the on on the social security roll. their names are there that are over 130 years old. 8.7 million americans are listed. and as elon said, far more eligible social security numbers than there are actual citizens in the u.s. but we don't know yet if checks are being sent to either individuals that are dead or maybe family members that are are receiving them. we just know their names are still on the list, right? >> yes, that's exactly right. there are a lot of unanswered questions, but that's exactly why these social security employees, i may add, are digging into the books and going line by line because past administrations have refused to do this very time consuming but necessary work. and i want to
11:15 pm
emphasize that these are social security political appointees. with every change of a new administration, you have new political appointees, just like me and my colleagues at the white house who are on board to serve the elected president. that's called a democracy. and for far too long, we've had a bureaucracy that has been running these agencies. and look at what it what look at what has resulted in tens of billions of dollars in waste, fraud and abuse every single year that we know of. and so these dodge employees, these social security employees are on boarding as social security administration employees, political appointees, and they have every right to administer president trump's agenda. and that's their main focus with this effort, not just at social security, but, of course, at every every agency. as you know. >> i don't want to give away the interview tomorrow with president trump and elon, but i can give a few headlines. there's no conflict between them. there's no power struggle. there's no ambiguity
11:16 pm
as to who the president is and what i observe, both in front of the camera and behind the camera, are people that had a great relationship. i don't want to give too much away. people will decide for themselves. you were there for a lot of it. you agree? >> i definitely agree, and i witnessed this relationship firsthand every single day in the oval office and at the white house. and president trump has tasked elon musk with administering his america first agenda, just like the rest of us who serve at the pleasure of the president, but most importantly, serve the american people. more than 77 million americans reelected president trump to promote monumental, fundamental change, to shake up the washington swamp. and there's nobody better than elon musk to do that. he is a once in a generation business leader. he sent rocket ships to space. he's far smarter than many of the people who are grunting and moaning on capitol hill about these efforts are.
11:17 pm
and he's the perfect person to help president trump with this effort. the mainstream media wants to drive a wedge between their relationship, but they are failing, and our entire team is unified behind president trump to deliver on the promises he made to the american people on the campaign trail. >> all right. that is this week's hannity white house briefing with white house press secretary caroline leavitt. caroline, great to have you, as always. thank you. all right. joining us now, the host of the upcoming hit show my view with laura trump. and by the way, take that to the bank. it will be a hit show. i might even get be a guest one day if she ever invites me. it starts this saturday night, 9 p.m. eastern, right here on the fox news channel. welcome home. great to have you back. you know, i want to get into this, this obsessive hatred. here's a guy that builds electric cars. i thought liberals liked electric cars. here's a guy that's about to rescue astronauts abandoned in space. and. and i think we should be grateful. in your

home state of north carolina, when people had no connection to the outside world, he donated starlink, which was a communications device, so they can contact the rest of the world. he did the same thing for tennessee. he did the same thing for the after the wildfires in carolina, in carolina. and then he has neuralink, which may cure blindness and have people with spinal cord injuries working again. now he's working for free. and why do they hate him? >> well. >> i. >> think you actually heard from elon. you played. >> a little clip there. >> at the beginning of the show. >> he said himself he didn't even really realize how legitimate trump derangement syndrome was until he experienced it himself. and i think what you're seeing happened before your very eyes right now in this country is that donald trump has flipped the script on these people. they really don't know how to fight against him. i mean, let's not forget, sean. they have thrown everything at this man, the kitchen sink in him. they have lied about him. they
11:19 pm
have smeared him. they have dragged him through the mud. they tried to lock him in prison and none of it worked. and he's president of the united states. and then he got in there and actually started delivering on his promises to the american people. he is making great change in our country, something that we couldn't live without shrinking the size of government, bringing transparency to the american people, things that people said was impossible and never would happen. and i have to imagine, if you're on the other side of the aisle and you look like a bunch of fools after the 2024 election, you got donald trump in there doing what he said he was going to do. it's been great for the country, and elon musk is helping him by default. they have got to hate elon musk. but i'll tell you what probably drives him the craziest is that donald trump this time around, sean isn't just in there doing a great job. he got a lot accomplished the first term in office. he's in there every day doing it with a smile on his face. he is on full offense. he is having a great time at the daytona 500. he is at the super
11:20 pm
bowl to roaring crowds. he is fully on offense this time around. his approval rating continues to go up. it's driving them nuts and so they got to try their hardest to take it out on somebody. i guess they figure they can't take down donald trump. they'll go after elon musk. >> all right. so i just played clinton, gore, obama. and frankly the republican party for decades, even going back to reagan. and when he had the grace commission recommending ways to make government more efficient and save money and run it more like a business. they have talked about this. at the end of the day, there's a lot that the president can do on his own. but the republicans, they are on the clock because i believe the democrats are going to try. right now, it's the biden-harris economy. they're going to try and blame the economy on donald trump. they need to get his economic plan in place so we can have a recovery by the midterms. will republicans and you had to deal with them as rnc co-chair? will they get on board?
11:21 pm
>> i think you've seen very clearly that the republicans are incredibly united. i think it started at our convention in milwaukee, wisconsin, over the summer. i've never seen a more united republican party than we had. and it started right then and right there. and it carried all the way through this election. it, of course, on november 5th showed itself by not only donald trump winning at the top of the ticket, of course, a majority in the senate, a majority in the house. and look, we really have gotten all of donald trump's folks confirmed thus far. i hope we see that continue, and i hope everybody understands how important what you just said is. we need to make sure that this is a president who is able to deliver and continue delivering for the american people. he cannot do it alone. he has to be aided by congress. and i think you've seen that this is a republican party that is lockstep with president donald trump. i hope we can see that continue to happen. >> i think. what do you make? you were with the president at the super bowl. i don't know if you were at daytona yesterday. i mean, the reaction everywhere
11:22 pm
he goes is unbelievable. i haven't really i've never seen a phenomenon like this. what is you're there. so what do you think? >> yes. well, we were there. we were there at daytona. eric and i were over on the side. and our daughter. you saw him there with our daughter, carolina, walk out to the roaring crowd. i mean, it's different. the feeling is just different across the country, sean. people are hopeful. this is what it looks like. and this is what it feels like to have a real leader back in the white house. this is a man who people understand is putting america first. maybe he's ruffling a few feathers with our enemies, maybe even with our allies. but he's doing what he needs to do for this country. and the people are grateful. roaring crowds at the super bowl. same thing at daytona 500. absolutely incredible. and both of my kids got to ride in the beast around the track. so that's a once in a lifetime opportunity. >> that's a that's a once in a lifetime opportunity. all right. so saturday night it's going to be the great one. and then laura trump that's a great one two punch. we appreciate

things that are being taken. but also let's see it as a, you know, nature abhors a vacuum. so where some where there's a vacancy, then let's fill it. yeah. right. and let's know that the, the reality is that the progress of our nation has always been about the expansion of rights, not the restriction of rights. we're seeing a u-turn right now, but we have to keep fighting for those rights to be maintained, which means we have to be vigilant. and it's just the nature of it. >> i have no words. meanwhile, the out-of-touch liberal elites have struck again. singer sheryl crow announced that she's, i guess, selling or giving her tesla to mpr or something. on instagram, she said money donated to mpr, which is under threat by president musk. ha ha. anyway, clearly the left has learned absolutely nothing from their crushing defeat in november. here with the best reaction we

11:30 pm
weinstein, and we know how that turned out. in terms of the democrats, i've got, i've got i've got a lot of friends who are democrats and they haven't asked me for advice, but if i did, i'd tell them, look, you just got to try harder not from the us and russia, now beginning high stakes talks in an effort to open negotiations for a potential deal to end the now three year long war in ukraine. the american delegation, headed by secretary of state marco rubio, is meeting with his russian counterpart, sergey lavrov. notably absent from the delegations, though, are representatives from ukraine and the european union. ukrainian president volodymyr zelenskyy says ukraine was not invited, and that they won't acknowledge any agreements
11:31 pm
without being present at the table. zelenskyy himself is in the middle east as well, where he is meeting with officials in the united arab emirates, turkey and saudi arabia. now, speaking over the weekend, secretary of state rubio said ukraine will eventually be a part of the negotiations if peace talks advance. europe and ukraine have raised concerns that president trump will be tempted to strike a deal with the kremlin over their heads amid the flurry of diplomatic activity. french president emmanuel macron convened a meeting of european heads of government yesterday. macron and president donald trump spoke via telephone for nearly 30 minutes prior to that gathering, with a u.s. official calling the conversation friendly. as the u.s. and russian delegations meet this morning. there are a few major sticking points. ukrainian land now occupied by russia and ukraine's desire to join nato.
11:32 pm
both the u.s. and russia has underscored the importance that place of the talks could take, which could lay the groundwork for a trump-putin summit. for now, i'm ashley strohmier. we'll send y programing. already in progress. >> topic i start thinking about i've got maybe four minutes and i've got to start thinking about how i'm going to frame it. sometimes i say things that i shouldn't, but as i've told you before, god, god made me. and god gave me the right to remain silent, but not the ability. >> well, i appreciate it, but, you know, it is interesting what you're saying. because what if they doubled down on they doubled down on waste, fraud and abuse and corruption, which will end up being hundreds of billions, if not more. they doubled down on men and women's sports and doubled down on putting the rights of illegal immigrants, including known terrorists, murderers, rapists, cartel members, gang members over the safety of
11:33 pm
americans. that's not that's kind of dumb. >> well, it is, and frankly, it's bad for our country. i mean, it's good for i'm a republican. it's good for my party. what i tell my colleagues is, is just, look, we just need to stay calm. we need to stay calm as a as a hindu cow and just go about our work and get our bills passed and let the democrats be the democrats. and so far, it's working. you never interfere with your opponent when he's kicking his own. so that's what's going on. >> i, i think that is very sound counsel advice. and if this is where if they're not going to look out for working men and women and their safety and security and their money, i'm happy with them staying right where they are. bad for the country if they ever get power, but they're not in power. senator, we appreciate you more than you know. thank you. when we come back, tom

11:39 pm
has become so much more secure under donald trump that a migrant shelter in san diego is now closed. they don't have any people going. after receiving no new arrivals since donald trump took office. still, some on the left are doing everything they can do to stop donald trump from cleaning up the border mess, including congresswoman alexandria ocasio-cortez, which earlier today tom homan said he finds, quote, disturbing. and borders are. tom homan joins us now with more. tom, great to see you. you actually said about aoc, which i'm glad you took on that. let's pray she's not educating the next murderer of a young college nursing student on how to evade arrest by ice, and how many more young women have to be raped, murdered, and burned alive until she wakes up? ouch. good for you. >> no, it's a fact. you know, she she wants to go out and say. and she's teaching people that constitutional rights. yeah, you can call it that. but we all know what she's up to.
11:40 pm
she wants to tell these people how to invade, how to invade arrest, how to invade lice. and we still got child predators we're looking for in new york. in her district, people convicted of child sex crimes, people who have been convicted of rape. and she wants to say she's educating them on constitutional rights. we're trying to enforce the laws that congress enacted. i believe she's a member of congress. so if they're writing laws they don't want to enforce, i can think they got better things to do with their time. but as a member of congress, you would think she'd want ice to enforce the laws, the laws they enacted that they appropriate us funding to do. and that's what we're trying to do. and she's making it more difficult and more dangerous. >> you know, it's i'm sure a free speech argument can be made. okay. she has every right to say anything she wants. when does it cross a line into aiding and abetting law breaking? it would. would it have to have direct involvement by her in helping people to evade ice? >> that's exactly the question i posed to the deputy attorney general. i asked him to look
11:41 pm
into it. i said, you know, i know through my career, someone steps in front of you and between you and the person you arrest intervening, yeah, that's a violation. but at what point do you cross the line on saying you're educating people versus you're teaching them how to evade ice arrest? so i've asked that question to the department of justice for clear guidance, so i can share that with the officers of ice. so we're looking for that clear direction so we can start taking action on people that want to evade, who want to help educate these people to evade ice. so hopefully any day now we get that guidance send out to the field. >> all right. 200. only 229 illegals entering the entire southwest border. it was up to 11,000 plus a day under biden and harris. interior arrests by ice up 137%. deportations are at a record. and even a san diego illegal immigrant shelter has no new arrivals. so they they closed. i would say by any
11:42 pm
objective measure that that would can only be defined as success. how how quickly do you think it will be to get the known terrorists, murderers, rapists, cartel members and, and drug dealers and gangs out of here? >> first of all, you know, i got to salute president trump. you know, he's been in office less than a month. i said from day one on your show, sean, he's a game changer. he proves to the american people every day why i consider him the greatest president in my lifetime. no one has had success like this. but i've said it. i'm happy the numbers are up. i'm happy with the results so far. i am not satisfied. i will not be satisfied till every gang member, every illegal alien gang member, every illegal alien public safety threat and national security threat to eradicate from this country. so we're expanding the amount of teams. now. we got pam bondi suing the sanctuary cities. we got kristi noem on now she's been out with the border patrol. she's been on ice. she's done more enforcement operations in a week than
11:43 pm
mayorkas has done in four years. our team is coming together. you got the architect, steve miller. we're all working together to increase those numbers until we can eradicate, once and for all, every illegal alien gang member and public safety threat, national security threat from this country. it's all on our foot on the gas. and god bless president trump for giving us the authorities, the resources do this job. it's his vision that's making this all possible. >> what do you make of the new york times headline? trump might have a case on birthright citizenship, and they rightly point out the supreme court held in 1898, a case where children born here to permanent residents are citizens. it has never held that children born to those illegally present have a right to birthright citizenship. i would argue that they do not. i think the president is correct on that. and i'd like to see the supreme court take that up. your take on it. >> you're exactly right. and
11:44 pm
the left talks about that case. they fail to mention it's the wong case that those people were here illegally with, with administration's approval. so they've never found a baby born to illegal aliens here in violation of law, who entered the country illegally, which is a crime, and have a baby here. so i agree with you. i don't think it's a clear cut case. i'm happy that the supreme court is going to take it on. i think they're going to find that these children aren't u.s. citizens, and that is a big driver of illegal immigration in this country. one of the first things they do is have a child here, even under barack obama, when jay johnson was the secretary, we did an operation looking for families that were ordered deported. when we found them, 42% ordered were pregnant or had a u.s. citizen child. >> yeah. >> well, i want to thank you because, you know, for four years, nobody in the last administration would talk to us. and whenever alejandro mayorkas or kamala or joe, they they just flat out talked about illegal immigration. they just flat out lied to the american people. you're being straight

toronto's pearson airport, ended with a commercial jet belly up on a frozen runway. flight 4819 from minneapolis, arriving with strong winds and drifting snow before flipping over on the tarmac. none of the 80 people on board were killed, but there have been some injuries, three reportedly in critical condition. but officials in toronto say 76 passengers and four crew were successfully evacuated. >> we are very grateful that there was no loss of life and relatively minor injuries. we are very focused on the care and the concern and the passengers and the crew, some of whom have already been reunified with their friends and their families. >> the plane came in for landing in toronto at 2:45 p.m. local time, the crew dealing with wind gusts of 40mph coming from the right, and it appears the right wing may have slammed into the runway with such tremendous force that it apparently snapped the wing completely off. the transportation safety board of canada is expected to lead this

investigation. transportation secretary sean duffy has offered assistance from the united states. sean. >> all right. mike emanuel, thank you. over the weekend, cbs news host margaret brennan clashed with secretary of state marco rubio over vice president vance's speech at the munich security conference last week. vance criticized european leaders over government overreach and their obsessive obsession with censorship and, frankly, their wrong policies on immigration. but according to margaret brennan, free speech likely led to the holocaust. okay, really? take a look. >> he was standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide, and he met with the head of a political party that has far right views and some historic ties to extreme groups. the context of that was changing the tone of it. and you know that that the censorship.
11:52 pm
>> i disagree with you specifically. >> about. >> the right. i have to disagree with you. free speech was not used to conduct a genocide. the genocide was conducted by an authoritarian nazi regime that happened to also be genocidal because they hated jews and they hated minorities, and they hated those that they had a list of people they hated, but primarily the jews. there was no free speech in nazi germany. there was none. there was also no opposition in nazi germany. they were a sole and only party that governed that country. so that's not an accurate reflection of history. >> unbelievable. also, we got a little insight as to what nbc thinks of maga supporters and donald trump's supporters, and what hollywood elites like tom hanks thinks about trump's supporters. take a look. you decide. >> if more folks went to church, we wouldn't be in this mess we're in now. >> you know what? i agree with you, doug. i'd like to shake your hand, sir. here we go. no, no no no. >> okay. here with reaction, fox news contributor joe

concha, along with the host of tomi lahren, is fearless on outkick tomi lahren. oh, is that what cbs and nbc thinks of conservatives and republicans and trump supporters? tomi. >> well, listen, there's a. >> lot of stupidity going on in both of those clips, but. >> i'll. >> start out with tom hanks. listen, hollywood has become culturally irrelevant due in large part to the election of donald trump, and it makes them furious. and they are still so stuck in 2017, when the resistance was actually a thing that they think making fun of trump supporters is somehow funny. but i'll tell you what, sean, they're actually really out of touch and haven't been paying attention. not only did donald trump make great gains across demographic groups, i think it's really condescending and insulting to these hollywood actors viewers that made them famous, that come from both sides of the political divide. to just assume that a trump supporter has to look like an older man with an american flag and eagle on his burnt out t shirt and a maga hat, and then must
11:54 pm
naturally also be a racist. this from the people who made their money off the backs of viewers, and a lot of viewers that are trump supporters, by the way. it just shows that they don't understand their audience. but sean, they don't have much of an audience left. so i guess that stands to reason. >> and, you know, joe, i mean, look at this. it's like nazi, fascist, racist. now it's napoleon, now it's margaret brennan, now it's saturday night live. i mean, to be honest, it's like ten years of this and they still haven't learned a thing. >> it's so old. >> it's so tiresome. >> i mean, the margaret. >> brennan thing. >> let's get this. >> straight, sean. >> she's an. >> alleged cbs. >> news anchor, and. >> she believes. >> the nazi holocaust was the consequence of too much free speech. i mean, we were all born ignorant, but one must work really hard to remain this stupid while being patently condescending. i mean, here are the facts. i mean, germany at that time did have hate speech laws. it doesn't take much to
11:55 pm
research this. in fact, hitler was banned from speaking in several areas of germany for many years, but ultimately censoring him. that's what turned him into a martyr. and in the end, this was an authoritarian regime. there was no free speech. nazis controlled all media back then. and if you spoke out in opposition to hitler or the nazi party, that got you never speaking again, as in dead. meanwhile, if you watched margaret brennan's whole show yesterday, the marco rubio interview with the secretary of state, i mean, that was something. but you also would see this interview with democrat jamie raskin, which was the rhetorical equivalent of, you know, a hot stone massage. i mean, it wasn't even softball. it was tee ball with a beach ball. and that's what cbs has become. it's cbs at this point, you literally can't tell the difference between margaret brennan or rachel maddow. >> by the way, you're giving senator kennedy a run for his money with the with the turn of a phrase. tommy, you get the last word. >> hey, listen, i think that if these individuals really want to understand america, they
11:56 pm
should get out in america. they should meet and shake the actual hands of trump supporters and conservatives. they might find something that alarms them, that we are americans. and it's about time that they start acting like we're all in this together and win together, because it's a great time to be an american. in this golden age of donald trump's administration. >> it reveals the hate and have contempt for the hardworking men and women in this country that make it great. thank you both. more hannity straight ahead. >> welcome to tackling life with fred and sydney, brought to you by experian. >> question number one tackling quarterbacks. >> or tackling subscriptions. >> if i had to choose tackling quarterbacks you know why. because it's so easy to tackle subscriptions with experian easy. they can help cancel those subscriptions that we don't even need. when you get to save your time and your money, totally. i'll go tackle those quarterbacks even though it's hard. download the experian app now.
