amended birth certificate. the policy as it is written doesn't define women, it doesn't define sex. you can change your birth certificate. there is no screening mechanism in place and no accountability by the ncaa to oversee this. women across the united states and ncaa deserve a bullet-proof policy. >> harris: gianno caldwell. i tell you, it has me wondering then if birth certificates don't count, we're in a world of hurt. we can't even agree on the governmental document that allows us to stay here as citizens. that seems bizarre. >> thank you for having me. i have to tell you i agree with you completely. especially in places like california where they allow you to change your assigned birth or rather what you were born as. thank god for riley gaines, our colleague, who hasn't backed down and stood tall and who made this really a journey of her

life to push back on these insane policies. just last month "the new york times," 79% of americans say they don't want to see biological men in women's sports. that includes 60 plus% of democrats. people have had enough of this. american people voted very loudly and clearly when they put trump back in office that this was not something that they wanted for their girls. they didn't want their girls competing against boys who have a different biological makeup and strength than their little girls. this is insane. >> harris: it is just confusing because at one point one of the leaders at the ncaa said there are more than 500,000 athletes in college sports and fewer than ten were transgender athletes biological men that this leader knew of. so why would you bend half a

million people to the desires of fewer than ten? it is just a question. >> as i recall -- >> harris: president trump is reportedly taking new action against diversity, equity and inclusion programs. the wall is journal is reporting the administration is directing federal agencies to no longer consider a company's d.e.i. practices whether or not to do business with them. this reverses the initiative by the biden white house. it is part of an overhaul of federal procurement practices. the regulations are more than 2,000 pages. outdated and doesn't allow agencies to buy at the speed of need. nothing in the government works at the speed of need. >> how about just hire the most qualified person for the role that can do it at the lowest price? sound like simple math to me. what is incredible i see so many of these black celebrities and

publications that are angering african-americans across the country about d.e.i. it doesn't benefit black people. 76% of diversity officers are white and 56% of those are women. so i don't understand why they continue to amp up on something that has literally no benefit for black people and i don't think we should have those kind of policies anyway. it is another game that democrats play to black folks emotional on an issue they can perhaps get them to vote on. >> harris: powerful words. equity, can replace it. at least put the right word in their, equality. equity is about outcomes. no one can promise that. you need opportunity and you need to bring your a game and work ethic. >> 100% agree. >> harris: good to see you. "outnumbered" after the break.
