>> will: live from the heartland this is the will cain show. incredible story from martha mccallum, hard act to follow haida -- highlighting world war ii heroes. we will serve as a warm-up act. president trump is expected to speak from a tech summit. he's been making news today on the russia ukraine war. covering the president's trip and his war of words with ukrainian president zelenskyy. >> earlier today national security advisor mike vaults said the relationship between president trump and zelenskyy right now is pretty frustrated. it's going in the wrong direction. he's at the root of the problem is really ukraine's refusal to sign a deal that would continue u.s. military support in exchange for access to ukraine's rare earth minerals. take a listen. >> we look at the type of aid the europeans are providing and it's often in the form of loans.

it's being repaid with the interest on seized russian assets. we believe the american taxpayer deserves to recoup much of their investment. all of that's an opportunity for ukraine. >> what about the last one? >> trump said ukraine should hold elections ahead of a peace deal. that something that russia has been pushing for. he said it wasn't a russian thing but his personal view. he's claiming zelenskyy has let this board drag on. citing the low approval rating. zelenskyy claimed his rating is at 50% -- 57%. it was this accusation that upset ukraine the most. >> we weren't invited, you've been there for three years, you should have ended it. you should have never started it. you could've made a deal. i could've made a deal for ukraine. >> 's a lenski said trump is living in a disinformation space which triggered a strong response on truth social. he refuses to have elections, is

let's bring in the senate majority leader john thrown on all of this. thank you so much for being with us. help us understand where we stand today in these negotiations between russia and ukraine. >> i thank they are just that. congratulations on the show, great to be with you. i think the administration wants to bring this war to an end. i think that's what we all desire to achieve. we want peace and clearly it is a process. the conversations and discussions are underway and i think we're all hopeful hopeful that they can come to a resolution that protects ukraine's sovereignty and ends the war with russia in a way that makes the entire region and our european allies in that area more secure. >> will: on looking at some of the comments made over the past 24 hours where zelenskyy accuses president trump of existing within a disinformation bubble. president trump posted that he was a moderately successful comedian and has slipped into

dictator style with no elections in ukraine. what does this mean? ukraine and zelenskyy are not part of the current status of negotiations. that's the u.s. and russia. said they would be brought in. if their relationship is like this, what does that mean about the prospect for peace? >> i think partly again it is part of a longer process and eventually my assumption is that ukraine will be brought in. i assume some of our european allies will be at the table as well. in the end that is something that clearly will have to happen. in the meantime as the negotiations get underway, i thank it is simply right now, the give and take that occurs, the back-and-forth that occurs in a situation like this where the stakes are really high. you are talking about a war that's been going on for three years. it's a horrific war, lots of casualties and anybody wants to see it come to a peaceful

conclusion. that starts by engaging in conversations. maybe the rhetoric is a little hot to start with but at the end of the day i think people are going to judge this by the results and hopefully they will get to a conclusion that results in a peaceful outcome in that region. >> will: i know you are familiar with the back-and-forth. familiar with the negotiation. you were going through some of that right now when it comes to the budget process that includes president trump. in the senate it appears you guys are set to vote on a two track deal. in the house, they want to put forward a big beautiful bill and what has been asked for by president trump. as all reports where they said president trump endorsing the house, bringing this forward first. took you a bit by surprise. >> we've been trying as best we can to work with the white house and with our counterparts in the house. this is -- you've got folks here

who are all heading to the same destination. how we get there tactically doesn't change the strategic objective and that is to get the president the tools that he needs to accomplish his agenda. what we are trying to do right now does achieve that with respect to the border which is his number 1 priority. he needs resources to be able to do the things he needs to do with respect to securing the border and implement his immigration policy. rebuild our military and restores american energy dominance. those are three issues that we think are critically important to the president. he's made it very clear one big beautiful bill and we would love to achieve that as well. if the house can produce a bill next week that deals with the tax pieces, i expect at some point this is all going to merge and we are all working in the same direction. all headed to the same outcome and that is to allow the president to deliver on the agenda that he campaigned on and at the american people expect him to deliver on.

>> will: fbi director nominee kash patel, he has advanced through committee and he has gained key support from another g.o.p.... you have, on it think laudable he, you have ushered in cabinet nominations for president trump at a record pace. you have far outpaced any presidency dating back to barack obama in terms of the number of nominees confirmed this point in the president's administration. you have managed to get all these through, how has that happened? how have you got every republican on board with people like tulsi gabbard and rfk who weren't shoo-in's to get across the finish line? >> in the end its always a team effort. we've had really good cooperation among our colleagues for the most part. when it comes to getting the entire team in place and kash patel is no exception. tomorrow we will vote to confirm him as director and i will put us at a level that goes we

haven't seen this number of folks get confirmed in this short of a time since 2001 so it's been 25 years through multiple different administrations. again that's just grinding it out. the democrats have been -- using the old tactics that they can to slow it down and block. we keep it bearing down that's what it takes. in the end i'm very happy that the president's team is going to be in place because what we want to see happen is we want to be good partners in helping him achieve his agenda for the american people. that starts with having the right people in the right places at the right time and obviously every day that goes by and we get another one or two confirmed , he gets closer to that goal and that's not just good for republicans in congress for the president of the united states, it's good for the country. the things that he campaigned on are the things... are going to be working to implement day in and day out spewed to

possibly 16 teams. this would be a big change. we boarded been through one moving to a 12 team playoff. this to be a change that the sec would team -- at four teams, two for the acc and the big 12. rounding it out in the group of five. what you think about yet again expanding the playoff? >> they are meeting from my vantage point. there's not much that i'm in control of when it comes to that. i'm just disappointed that we didn't know -- didn't do what we needed to do and that's what we are focused on is to make sure we do what we are supposed to do to get in no matter how many teams are in it. >> will: you probably would have been in it if it had expanded. >> probably more than likely but there's things that we can control and things we can't. that's what we are focused on. we will let the people that get to decide those things take care

transportation have pumped to the brakes on new york city's controversial congestion pricing plan. the d.o.t. has terminated the approval of the program, rescinding the november 21st agreement that was signed under the pilot program. in a letter, transportation secretary sean duffy says new york state's congestion pricing plan is a slap in the face to working-class americans and small business owners. every american should be able to access new york city regardless of their economic needs. it should be reserved for the elite few. congestion pricing after a lot of delay, it started in january with cars being charged nine dollars on top of all the other tolls to enter manhattan below 60th street. there is the ability to increase the cost of the toll overtime as well. it was designed to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality and to raise funds for much-needed public transit upgrades. the mta which lost about

$1 billion last year from the fare evasion was disappointed to see the reversal. telling fox it's mystifying that after four years and 4000 pages of federally supervised environmental review and barely three months after giving final approval to the congestion relief program, they would seek to totally reversed course. critics have said it's just one more unfair cost to commuters who drive to fund public transportation on the mta. new jersey governor murphy among them, thanking the president for the news saying i want to thank president trump and secretary duffy for their efforts to halt the current congestion pricing program in manhattan central business district. the current program lines their pockets at the expense of new jersey residents. president trump himself celebrating the news saying in a post quote congestion pricing is dead. manhattan and all of new york is saved, long live the king.

the governor who had paused congestion pricing in june just weeks before it was such take effect, responded. take a listen. >> i'm here to say. new york hasn't laboured under a king and over 250 years. we are not going to start now. >> it remains to be seen if this is the nail in the coffin because we are expecting more lawsuits to be filed. they have already announced that a lawsuit has been filed. so the saga continues. >> will: thank you medicine. meanwhile an interesting court battle playing out over president trump's executive orders on transgender people in the marentette -- in the military. the judge pressing the attorney saying you understand that it's incorrect to say that there are only two sexes. she goes on to say the executive order is premised on the assertion that is incorrect. there are intersex people.

over 30 potential examples. people with 3x chromosomes, ambiguous. there are people who are neither male nor female. what i do with that because the executive order is incorrect? they said you have to live in a barrick of your... where do i go if i'm intersex? that's just one of her quotes. joining me now is missouri republican senator josh hawley. thanks for being here. really fascinating exchanges here. i think one could say ignorant exchanges. you are hearing from this judge, no one suspects that these are about intersex, that really rare phenomenon. this is about transgender military members. >> this tells me is the judge has all remade her mind up. she already knows how she's going to rule, she's just itching for some reason to strike it down. from a legal perspective having looked at the things she was saying, she's getting the log wrong. she talks about how it affords

special protections for transgender folks. that is not true. they are not a special class of persons in our law. it is time to end this gender insanity. there are only two genders. let's just tell the truth. president trump is saying we're going to restore sanity to the military, to women sports. we will start protecting women in locker rooms again. from biological men. that is music to the years of every reasonable american. >> will: want to share one more passage because i thank it highlights the insanity here. the judge said the idea that anyone is affected by using someone's pronouns is frankly ridiculous. find me a -- anyone's who -- was a commissioned officer to get on the stand and say that. you can find someone who will tell me where -- we are less prepared because we have to use pronouns for a few thousand people, we can make a bet. i would take that bet. i could book six officers right

now on this program to say having to worry about someone's pronouns gets in the way of combat readiness. >> i thought the point of the military was war fighting, not to be worried about pronouns, not to make everybody feel good. it really is a threat to readiness when you have biological men sleeping in women's barracks. that's not just a hypothetical. that has happened in my home state of missouri. we've had whistle-blowers come forward to us that an army... biological men are in the women's barracks. this is insane. this is why what president trump is doing, getting the social experimentation out of our military and getting our military back to war fighting, it is long overdue and people are applauding it. >> i want to ask you and i hope you will accept this question. i should have asked it a little bit earlier but we have two different news stories going on at the same time that come together. one is the russia ukraine potential peace deal but the

tensions between zelenskyy and trump. the other is the budgeting process. there in the senate and in the house. i know there are questions. if the senate is putting together a budget and they forward they're budget, will it included new funding for ukraine? there are some suggestions it would fund ukraine for 2030. is that something that you would get behind? >> it's not something i would get behind. absolutely not. we should not be providing an additional dime to ukraine and what we ought to do is we ought to audit every single penny that has been spent. we have never had a full accounting of the $200 billion that we have spent on ukraine. you talk about waste, fraud, and abuse, we have no idea where most of that money has gone. we should not be tying the president's hands while he is a middle of peace negotiations by funding the ukrainian government. i think that's totally irresponsible.

>> will: where with the rest of your senators be? will it be something they push forward with? >> i hope not. it better not be in this budget by the -- resolution that you just mentioned. they will vote on a budget framework tomorrow and based on what you've said i'm going to go and scour it because i was told that there was nothing to do with ukraine in that resolution and they better not be trying to slip in something secret. i can tell you if they do that it will not have my support. we need to be standing behind president trump as he seeks to bring peace to this region and peace to this war. i will say again, we needed an accounting of every dollar we've already spent. >> will: we appreciate that. i look forward to you double checking and making sure that's not happening. hopefully that's not happening over in the house. be interesting to note who does and does not support that. always a pleasure to talk to you. think you. we know how corrupted mexico

violent offenders like this should never be pardoned. thanks for being here. we saw a list of commutations by joe biden at the end of his presidency. to see these examples. that one from connecticut, that was a big story that we wanted to cover. it was very busy in the first couple of weeks of the launch of this show. that's a big story and now we see this. >> this is unbelievable. it's just a punch in the face and a punch and they got to every law enforcement officer in this country. these fine men, one a former l.a.p.d. officer jack kohler and ... was a member of the united states army. now they are young fbi agents out there working the indian reservation and not only did they find themselves in a horrifically -- horrific gun battle, but then when they

were laying there helpless, he walked up to them and fired rounds into their face and heads and he was already wanted for an attempted murder on a police officer in milwaukee. this type of violent offenders should never ever see the light of day again and it disgusts all of us. >> will: why and how is he seeing the light of day? >> i have no idea. the only thing i can think of is that may be biden didn't even make the decision. there's all kinds of big hollywood elites that have stood behind him since the beginning. maybe they got in contact with one of those young interns, who knows who is running the white house at the end of biden's term. we don't know who was.

you ready for a rematch? the united states and canada are set for a rematch in the final of the four nations cup tomorrow night, thursday night. canada calls hockey our game, team usa says it's our time. and there is hope that one particular phase will be seen in the stands. >> we would love it if president trump was in attendance. we will have a room full of proud american players and coaches and staff, and we are just trying to represent our country the best way we can. >> will: we will be watching for that. 5.4 million people watch the first game on the saturday night. it is about more than just hockey which brings me to today's "big three. we do not take kindly when we see people doing this. we have a media bubble. not a lot of people understand what's going on between the united states and canada. all of it has to do with 51st state, trump talking about whether or not we should annex canada. president trump waved around a 1908 treaty against justin trudeau. what is the 1908 treaty? historians don't think it was incredibly significant, but signed by teddy roosevelt during the reign of king edward the seventh, defined the border between the united states and canada and called on using modern technologies to survey the border. but president trump highlighting the treaty highlighting what he believes, that this is an artificially drawn line between the two countries. it is threatening an economic force that makes it possible that we should be the 51st state in canada. not so sure about that. i don't know if we want two senators from canada.

brings us to number three. let's take a look at canada, red and blue, what it looks like. how they voted in their recent elections. you can see which areas are conservative and which areas are liberal. it's actually the reverse of what you would expect. liberals and red on this map. very liberal areas like toronto and montreal. nova scotia appeared in the middle, calgary, alberta, beth in blue. conservative states, so i don't know if it can be divvied up, but it might just be settled on the ice on thursday night. we appreciate you, canadians. it's a friendly rivalry. that's going to do it for us. we will get auburn-alabama right every time in the future. i will make sure i am in the control room and fire whoever messed that up. getting to the heart of the matter from the heart of amer
